Darren Miller’s parents met in England. They were both orphans from separate islands in the Caribbean and had moved to London seeking opportunity. His father was an engineer and his mother a midwife.
After seven years in London, they had Darren, which is where he spent his first ten years before emigrating to New York.
Darren is extremely proud of his heritage as he seeks to live out the American dream. He draws parallels between his hard work ethic and passion for helping others with the superheroes from his childhood comic books.
In this episode, Luke and Darren take a journey through the ups and downs of his life and his career, from facing difficulties from assimilation to getting fired from multiple jobs. As we listen in to this conversation, Darren’s dedication to making an impact on the world gives us a perspective on how lawyers are an important foundation to our society.
