Show Notes

In part two of our visit with Emmitt and Belen McKenzie, we transition from the horrific environment Emmitt grew up in, including drugs, alcohol, distribution of narcotics, gang activity, gun trafficking, and urban gang activity, to when he truly encountered Jesus Christ in a rehab center.  Emmitt shares the very important truth that coming to Christ is not just "praying the prayer", or, "walking the aisle", or even getting baptized, which he had done four times already, to understanding what repentance is all about.  Included in his genuine salvation experience was the ability to forgive all those who had sinned against him and done such horrific things to him that were destroying his life.  From that point on, this dear brother in Christ began to see Christ not only save him, but provide for him, lead him, and use him in some miraculous ways.  You'll hear about how he was blessed with the ability to gain higher education including a Masters level journey, and began an evangelism ministry that has taken him literally around the world!  As we reach the end of today's episode, Emmitt begins to introduce us to the love of his life, Belen, and how their initial relationship and courtship began with some rather hilarious experiences that once again proved the Sovereign Lord was leading them into a committed marriage relationship and the chance to experience more miracles from the hand of the Lord.  What a tremendous life story we are hearing about, and there's more to come after this episode.  So stay tuned to Indigenous Faith to hear it all!  You'll be glad you did!  So without further delay, here's Emmitt McKenzie and more of his life story that apart from God's intervention, would have ended tragically, instead if triumphantly!
