What"},{"startTime":257.17,"endTime":261.73,"body":"are some signs to look for that? So"},{"startTime":276.04,"endTime":279.76,"body":"we have the people who come in and know"},{"startTime":276.04,"endTime":279.76,"body":"exactly what they want to delegate."},{"startTime":279.77,"endTime":281.71,"body":"Perhaps they had a VA before,"},{"startTime":282.58,"endTime":287.38,"body":"or maybe they had even an in-house"},{"startTime":282.58,"endTime":287.38,"body":"admin and just didn't have enough work"},{"startTime":287.62,"endTime":289.93,"body":"to support somebody, even part-time."},{"startTime":289.93,"endTime":294.49,"body":"And so they were looking for an"},{"startTime":289.93,"endTime":294.49,"body":"alternative type of employment or"},{"startTime":295.3,"endTime":298.96,"body":"alternative support. And then"},{"startTime":295.3,"endTime":298.96,"body":"there's the people that are like,"},{"startTime":299.92,"endTime":304.66,"body":"I am so overwhelmed, I have no"},{"startTime":299.92,"endTime":304.66,"body":"idea what I need to delegate."},{"startTime":304.66,"endTime":309.04,"body":"I just know that I can't do it"},{"startTime":304.66,"endTime":309.04,"body":"all. And so being able to navigate"},{"startTime":310.69,"endTime":313.48,"body":"what are the priority"},{"startTime":310.69,"endTime":313.48,"body":"tasks? We see,"},{"startTime":324.64,"endTime":329.29,"body":"I feel like the biggest sign"},{"startTime":324.64,"endTime":329.29,"body":"is when a business owner"},{"startTime":330.58,"endTime":334.87,"body":"finishes their day and they're providing"},{"startTime":330.58,"endTime":334.87,"body":"whatever kind of service they're"},{"startTime":334.87,"endTime":335.703,"body":"providing,"},{"startTime":335.95,"endTime":339.13,"body":"and then they go home and they sit in"},{"startTime":335.95,"endTime":339.13,"body":"front of the computer and they know they"},{"startTime":339.14,"endTime":343.96,"body":"have four more hours worth of admin"},{"startTime":339.14,"endTime":343.96,"body":"work that they need to do on top of"},{"startTime":344.05,"endTime":348.58,"body":"their day. And they're just telling"},{"startTime":344.05,"endTime":348.58,"body":"themselves, I shouldn't be doing this."},{"startTime":348.85,"endTime":350.59,"body":"This is not why I got into business."},{"startTime":350.89,"endTime":355.42,"body":"And that is such a clear cut sign"},{"startTime":350.89,"endTime":355.42,"body":"that they're ready for support and"},{"startTime":355.43,"endTime":356.98,"body":"they're tired of doing it."},{"startTime":358.19,"endTime":361.43,"body":"Because, right. Yeah. I"},{"startTime":358.19,"endTime":361.43,"body":"mean, most of us, I think,"},{"startTime":361.54,"endTime":364.01,"body":"and I think especially with the type"},{"startTime":361.54,"endTime":364.01,"body":"of people that I tend to work with,"},{"startTime":364.07,"endTime":365.48,"body":"the service-based businesses,"},{"startTime":365.84,"endTime":369.86,"body":"we typically started a business because"},{"startTime":365.84,"endTime":369.86,"body":"we were really good at doing the thing."},{"startTime":372.8,"endTime":375.38,"body":"And this has talked a lot about, and I,"},{"startTime":375.38,"endTime":378.71,"body":"I'm going to totally forget the"},{"startTime":375.38,"endTime":378.71,"body":"book reference that I'm making here,"},{"startTime":379.1,"endTime":381.08,"body":"and I can see the book"},{"startTime":379.1,"endTime":381.08,"body":"visually in my head,"},{"startTime":381.38,"endTime":383.81,"body":"but it's all about creating"},{"startTime":381.38,"endTime":383.81,"body":"an actual business,"},{"startTime":383.82,"endTime":385.79,"body":"not just creating your passion project."},{"startTime":385.79,"endTime":388.64,"body":"And you could be a really good pie baker,"},{"startTime":388.76,"endTime":391.34,"body":"and so people tell you to"},{"startTime":388.76,"endTime":391.34,"body":"go make pies for a living."},{"startTime":392.36,"endTime":394.61,"body":"But the point is that's"},{"startTime":392.36,"endTime":394.61,"body":"what we want to do."},{"startTime":394.61,"endTime":397.19,"body":"We don't want to do all"},{"startTime":394.61,"endTime":397.19,"body":"this other crap over here."},{"startTime":397.61,"endTime":399.2,"body":"Oh, the ETH revisited."},{"startTime":399.86,"endTime":403.25,"body":"Yes. I knew, I'm like,"},{"startTime":403.49,"endTime":407.09,"body":"hopefully you can remember."},{"startTime":403.49,"endTime":407.09,"body":"Yes, ETH Revisited, which"},{"startTime":407.1,"endTime":407.933,"body":"Good."},{"startTime":408.44,"endTime":413.24,"body":"And it's a really good point that we"},{"startTime":408.44,"endTime":413.24,"body":"didn't necessarily get into business"},{"startTime":413.24,"endTime":416.87,"body":"to run the business, and for a lot of us,"},{"startTime":416.87,"endTime":419.69,"body":"we didn't get into business"},{"startTime":416.87,"endTime":419.69,"body":"to do these admin tasks."},{"startTime":421.13,"endTime":424.19,"body":"So it's nice to get some"},{"startTime":421.13,"endTime":424.19,"body":"help, but what do you think?"},{"startTime":424.19,"endTime":426.5,"body":"I think for a lot of"},{"startTime":424.19,"endTime":426.5,"body":"people that I've talked to,"},{"startTime":427.01,"endTime":431.6,"body":"what stops them is thinking that"},{"startTime":427.01,"endTime":431.6,"body":"no one else can do it like that."},{"startTime":432.8,"endTime":434.0,"body":"Yes, absolutely."},{"startTime":434.45,"endTime":439.37,"body":"It's so funny because there's a"},{"startTime":434.45,"endTime":439.37,"body":"handful of really common excuses that I"},{"startTime":439.37,"endTime":442.31,"body":"hear business owners tell"},{"startTime":439.37,"endTime":442.31,"body":"themselves all the time. One being."},{"startTime":443.24,"endTime":445.73,"body":"Yeah, I would say, let's go through"},{"startTime":443.24,"endTime":445.73,"body":"that list. What do we often hear?"},{"startTime":446.45,"endTime":450.5,"body":"So one is what you had said, nobody"},{"startTime":446.45,"endTime":450.5,"body":"can do this as well as I can."},{"startTime":451.76,"endTime":452.87,"body":"Second is, well,"},{"startTime":452.93,"endTime":457.76,"body":"why should I pay somebody if"},{"startTime":452.93,"endTime":457.76,"body":"I know I can do it myself? And"},{"startTime":457.77,"endTime":459.11,"body":"then third would be, well,"},{"startTime":459.11,"endTime":463.73,"body":"it's going to take longer to train"},{"startTime":459.11,"endTime":463.73,"body":"somebody to do it than if I just did it"},{"startTime":463.73,"endTime":464.563,"body":"myself."},{"startTime":465.65,"endTime":469.85,"body":"And then there's that"},{"startTime":465.65,"endTime":469.85,"body":"person where it's like,"},{"startTime":470.15,"endTime":474.77,"body":"I don't know if anybody can do it"},{"startTime":470.15,"endTime":474.77,"body":"the way that I want 'em to do it."},{"startTime":475.49,"endTime":479.33,"body":"So all of these are premised"},{"startTime":479.84,"endTime":484.34,"body":"over the fear of being able"},{"startTime":479.84,"endTime":484.34,"body":"to adequately delegate to"},{"startTime":484.34,"endTime":487.7,"body":"somebody and truly get"},{"startTime":484.34,"endTime":487.7,"body":"that off their plate."},{"startTime":488.35,"endTime":491.81,"body":"There's so much emotion involved"},{"startTime":488.35,"endTime":491.81,"body":"when it comes to delegating."},{"startTime":491.82,"endTime":495.14,"body":"You'd think it would be so cut"},{"startTime":491.82,"endTime":495.14,"body":"and dry for us as business owners,"},{"startTime":495.74,"endTime":499.04,"body":"but there's that guilt of, well,"},{"startTime":500.42,"endTime":504.14,"body":"should I be paying money to do something"},{"startTime":500.42,"endTime":504.14,"body":"that I know that I can already do?"},{"startTime":505.01,"endTime":507.56,"body":"I think there's also"},{"startTime":505.01,"endTime":507.56,"body":"like, this is my baby,"},{"startTime":507.86,"endTime":510.38,"body":"and nobody can mess it up,"},{"startTime":510.68,"endTime":514.04,"body":"even though us doing some of these"},{"startTime":510.68,"endTime":514.04,"body":"tasks is definitely going to mess it up."},{"startTime":516.11,"endTime":517.07,"body":"At some point,"},{"startTime":517.14,"endTime":521.63,"body":"it is going to get to the point where you"},{"startTime":517.14,"endTime":521.63,"body":"just can't keep up with everything and"},{"startTime":521.63,"endTime":526.61,"body":"some part of the business is"},{"startTime":521.63,"endTime":526.61,"body":"going to suffer because you're too"},{"startTime":526.61,"endTime":530.48,"body":"busy trying to do it all."},{"startTime":526.61,"endTime":530.48,"body":"And that's the tough part."},{"startTime":531.02,"endTime":535.16,"body":"Yeah. So have you had a client, a story,"},{"startTime":535.23,"endTime":539.25,"body":"a client who came to you with these"},{"startTime":535.23,"endTime":539.25,"body":"reservations but went ahead and signed on"},{"startTime":539.25,"endTime":542.34,"body":"and saw the other side?"},{"startTime":542.73,"endTime":543.93,"body":"Absolutely."},{"startTime":544.35,"endTime":549.06,"body":"I had one in particular"},{"startTime":544.35,"endTime":549.06,"body":"that when I was just simply"},{"startTime":549.18,"endTime":553.5,"body":"explaining some of the things that"},{"startTime":549.18,"endTime":553.5,"body":"we can be doing for her business,"},{"startTime":553.5,"endTime":557.58,"body":"she started crying because I mean,"},{"startTime":557.58,"endTime":562.53,"body":"she had just taken all of it"},{"startTime":557.58,"endTime":562.53,"body":"on for so long and she just"},{"startTime":562.59,"endTime":566.73,"body":"had such a hard time visualizing"},{"startTime":562.59,"endTime":566.73,"body":"what it would look like for somebody,"},{"startTime":566.73,"endTime":568.26,"body":"especially somebody remotely,"},{"startTime":569.37,"endTime":571.83,"body":"to be able to handle some of those things."},{"startTime":572.85,"endTime":576.57,"body":"She just assumed that she would be"},{"startTime":572.85,"endTime":576.57,"body":"stuck doing all of them forever."},{"startTime":577.2,"endTime":581.85,"body":"And it was the type of"},{"startTime":577.2,"endTime":581.85,"body":"business where it may or may"},{"startTime":581.86,"endTime":586.44,"body":"not ever make sense to actually hire"},{"startTime":581.86,"endTime":586.44,"body":"an employee at any point in time."},{"startTime":586.86,"endTime":588.27,"body":"So that was kind of where"},{"startTime":590.64,"endTime":594.39,"body":"she couldn't really envision somebody"},{"startTime":590.64,"endTime":594.39,"body":"else working in her business."},{"startTime":594.87,"endTime":599.31,"body":"And it just came at such a relief"},{"startTime":594.87,"endTime":599.31,"body":"at a time of just such high"},{"startTime":599.31,"endTime":604.14,"body":"stress. And we were able to"},{"startTime":599.31,"endTime":604.14,"body":"really kind of take her admin,"},{"startTime":604.15,"endTime":608.58,"body":"all the backend customer service"},{"startTime":604.15,"endTime":608.58,"body":"part of her business so she can"},{"startTime":609.57,"endTime":611.88,"body":"focus on training horses."},{"startTime":609.57,"endTime":611.88,"body":"That's what she was doing."},{"startTime":612.6,"endTime":615.99,"body":"Oh, fun. Yeah."},{"startTime":612.6,"endTime":615.99,"body":"So tell me, I mean,"},{"startTime":615.99,"endTime":618.69,"body":"let's talk about that a"},{"startTime":615.99,"endTime":618.69,"body":"little bit more because VA is,"},{"startTime":618.69,"endTime":621.57,"body":"and what I think a lot of people,"},{"startTime":618.69,"endTime":621.57,"body":"and this is probably just the old,"},{"startTime":622.44,"endTime":626.28,"body":"especially if you come from corporate"},{"startTime":622.44,"endTime":626.28,"body":"business model of you must hire full-time"},{"startTime":626.28,"endTime":629.97,"body":"employees and you can't afford help"},{"startTime":626.28,"endTime":629.97,"body":"until you can pay a full-time employee,"},{"startTime":630.27,"endTime":634.26,"body":"but that full-time employee needs, taxes,"},{"startTime":634.44,"endTime":638.61,"body":"benefits, things that you, yeah,"},{"startTime":634.44,"endTime":638.61,"body":"all these things that you're like,"},{"startTime":638.61,"endTime":642.18,"body":"I can't possibly afford"},{"startTime":638.61,"endTime":642.18,"body":"this. So how do you think,"},{"startTime":643.2,"endTime":647.19,"body":"I mean, let's talk about the difference"},{"startTime":643.2,"endTime":647.19,"body":"what the VA and what that looks like,"},{"startTime":648.15,"endTime":652.32,"body":"having somebody to come in and"},{"startTime":648.15,"endTime":652.32,"body":"just do these few little things."},{"startTime":652.53,"endTime":657.0,"body":"Absolutely.
