The Career Edge™
Welcome to The Career Edge, where we unpack how work actually works.
Most professionals spend years figuring out the unwritten rules of the workplace on their own. This show is built to change that.
Hosted by Leslie Ferry, creator of Zee, The Career Edge explores the questions most career conversations never ask. What actually drives careers forward. How others interpret your decisions, communication, and actions through their unique lens. And how small, deliberate shifts based on this information create momentum that compounds over time.
No generic advice. No recycled career tips. Just honest conversations designed to provoke a question worth thinking about long after the episode ends.
New episodes every Tuesday and Thursday.

Something's changing here. For the next six weeks, instead of full episodes, I'm sharing shorter, one-thought topics, something worth sitting with for a couple of days, not a fully resolved concept.
Here's the first one: two people can hear the same new idea and react completely differently. Some of us commit the instant our gut recognizes something promising. Others need the evidence to build first. Neither is better, just two different paths to the same place.
Which one sounds like you?
Something exciting is coming mid-September.
Welcome to The Career Edge, where we unpack how work actually works. I'm Leslie Ferry. We're going to mix things up here for a bit. This year, we've been going deep together on reviewing research, exploring frameworks, and completing practices all designed to jumpstart and maintain career momentum in what I call the upsurge era. But for the next six weeks, we're going to do something different. I'm going to share shorter.
One thought topics instead of a full concept or step-by-step practice. Just something I hope you find worth thinking about for a couple of days as you move through your workday. The intent is to help you discover something new about how you approach work. Here's today's thought. Two people can hear the same new idea and react differently. Some of us commit the innocent
Our gut recognizes the idea feels promising. Others of us need the evidence, supporting it first before we're willing to fully commit. Neither one is better than the other. They're just different paths to the same place. Believing an idea is sound enough to move forward. Which one of these reactions sounds more like you? Take a minute to notice next time you hear a new idea.
Something new exciting is coming mid September that we'll build from here. Until then, we'll use this twice a week space for thought. That's it.
