Why are there biblical scriptures in the Book of Mormon? What was so important about Isaiah that he occupies one quarter of the first hundred pages of a book who's authors all spoke of the difficulty of writing, and that only the most important words should be included. Why take up valuable space to include words that would be available elsewhere?
Isaiah is the most quoted prophet in the Bible. He is even quoted more than the Savior himself so, apparently, what he has to say must be very important. At least Nephi thought so!
But, so too did the Savior! He quoted Isaiah during his visit to the Nephites and even commanded them to read Isaiah on their own. Let's find out why.
