Diamond’s Letter From Las Vegas
SPEAKER_03Alright, how y'all doing out there? Y'all doing all right? Yes, yes, we are back at it again. We got another one. Another one. Y'all doing alright? Everybody doing good? Alright, yeah, I'm doing good too. I want to welcome y'all to the show. I am the icon. The show is called Let's Talk About It. Where we take um letters that we get from people, and we just um read we're trying to give them the best advice that we possibly can. So this letter I got, which totally, totally blew my mind a little bit, because when she titled the letter, I thought that it was going to be about the life that she's currently living. But I guess the letter has kind of like mixed emotions and mixed feelings. Um in any event, it's kind of didn't sit right with me at all, didn't sit right with me at all. It just didn't sit right. But
A Hard Reality Check On Goals
SPEAKER_03when I get these letters, I like to read them out in their entirety, and then we kind of go from there. So I kind of took a lot of issues with this letter, and that I did um and that I did uh email this young lady back. So without further ado, let's get off into it because I got a feeling a lot of people are gonna be pissed off about it, or maybe they will, maybe they won't. I don't know. So this letter is entitled I Love the Life. Dear Icon, hello, my name is Diamond, I'm from Texas, but I moved to Las Vegas to pursue my dream of being being an exotic dancer. I'm 19 years old. I started dancing at the age of 10. Not about like ballet, not stripping, yeah, clearly, because there would be a problem if you were stripping at the age of 10. Okay. So here's my story. Here's what my story is about. I'm going through and what I'm going through, or so here is my story. My stor.
The Roommates, The Driver, The Risk
SPEAKER_03So here is my story about what I'm going through or faced with. So as I said before, I'm a stripper and I work at this club in Las Vegas. I have to say, though it has some downsides, I think I found my calling. Jesus. Really? I met a lot of good and bad clients and have gone on a few dates with them. They have shared me with all kinds of gifts, and a few have proposed to me. But I turned it down because their personality didn't match who they are or what they are. Meaning some of the guys that promised me a life of luxury didn't quite live up to that. I mean the one guy worked at retail making 40k a year, while the other one worked at a restaurant making close to what the first guy was making. But I didn't want to come off as being some kind of gold digger because I'm not I'm not. I'm not. I just want the finer things in life. Though I'm young and I have a lot to do and want to do with my life, I mean I could see myself being a stripper until I retire. Jesus Christ, you freaking kidding me. Being a stripper until you retire, that's wow. But I want a stable home for my family when I decide when I've when I decide to have children because I want to give them the best life that I never had before, and I think working towards that is a goal to have in mind when looking for a partner. Icon, is it wrong for me to have high hopes to have a man that can provide for me? I mean, sure, I love what I'm doing now, and if I keep at it, maybe my French Charm will walk right to that door and say, Diamond, you're the one. Let me take you and give you the light that you've always wanted and dreamed about. Oh, Diamond, you are clearly delusional. I've honestly honestly believed that the men that come that come through here want me as their wife, and I honestly do have a problem with that, but I need to know the finances first because I can't be with some man that is less than me. I mean, icon. I didn't always have a good life. My parents were hardworking people that provided a stable home for me and my two sisters. I graduated high school just recently, and though they wanted me to go to college, I wasn't about to go through my life, always on some boring career when there's real money to be made. What the hell? Yeah. So my parents weren't strict, but they were always making sure that I lived up that I lived the right way, and they were always nagging on me to do better and keep focused on the road ahead, but Icon. The rolling ahead involves me getting money. And I don't have time for college, and it was community college anyway. I have dreams. Those dreams are clearly becoming my reality. Because while my parents work a boring ass 9-5 job, I'm out here getting this money, and I didn't think I would see money like this coming in so fast, so I will continue to do me and get the right man for me because I deserve to be happy, and I will do just that. Oh boy, yeah, well, I know, I know. I'm grown. Those famous words, I'm grown. I will continue to stay on the path of being great. I will show my parents and my sister what this life and money is all about. Because in my mind, dreams do come true if you believe
When Parents Aren’t The Problem
SPEAKER_03that they do. So, Icon, I understand that you have daughters as well. Wouldn't you want them to make money and to prove you wrong that a regular ass job doesn't bring in the cash you want but can overflow with you, but can overflow with all the money you wanted and desire? I'm only saying it's because I'm tired of people telling me that I have potential to go far in life, but I need to work hard for it, and the money will come. Well, the hell with that. I want the life now and I won't have it now. Icon, if this was your kid, what advice would you have for them? Because my parents are not the best and I still love them. But this is my life and I will choose to live it how I want to. And though I have tried to reason with them, they seem to think that I will eventually come back crawling to them, and I told them I'm grown and I won't ever need anything from them. Haikon, what advice do you have for me? And what can I do to land my friend's charm? Well, first off, um, damn it, Diamond, um, you have lost the better part of your rabbit ass mind. Like real tall. Um, this is why I said this letter took a turn for the worst, because I clearly thought she was talking about something else, but this letter turned into like a blame game of her and her parents. And I did have some questions for Miss Diamond, but before we get into those questions, I gotta say you are wrong as two left shoes. I mean, I don't know what the hell is your mentality in reference to stripping in a career. Listen, I'm not knocking the stripping game. I don't do strippers, I don't care for strippers. How you get your money is how you get your money. You want that kind of money? All money ain't good money, all money ain't fast money. Real talk. Now, as for you asking telling me about my daughters, first off, sweetheart, my daughters wouldn't even do no shit like this. Um, not unless they have to answer me. Because when you're raised right, and if you choose to want to go out to make those kind of decisions, you said you're grown. Sweetheart, you're 19 years old, you're fresh out. So I don't think you're that much grown because you ain't got even a clue to what life is just yet. Okay, let's calm it down because you know I'm getting in my feelings right now. So I have some questions for Miss Diamond. Um, because I really wanted to know. Um Here's a question that I asked her. Did your parents beat you? No, but my mom slapped me for sassing her and my father did nothing. I asked her how long ago was that? It was when I was in eighth grade because my best friend that came over told me that her parents would never hit her because she gets anything that she wants. Damn it, that's the first goddamn mistake that you made. Are you still friends with her? Yes, she is the one that said I should come out to Vegas. And I was like, wait, both of y'all live in Vegas? She said, Yes. We stay with some other girls in the house. It's like five bedrooms, and we even have transportation to and from work. This is where I thought that this kind of got a little bit dark. And I said, uh, is this a brothel type of home? She asked me what was a brothel. Oh. A brothel is a place where people engage in sexual activity, uh, or commonly known as prostitutes. She said no, but she and her best friend share a room together. And I said, Who takes you to work? The lady that owns the home, which in
The Prince Charming Strip Club Myth
SPEAKER_03my mind that would be the madam. Okay. So, um and I said, What is your rent for you and your best friend? Get this, it's $1,200 a month each, and utility are split among the girls. Okay, and I said, and what were your parents charging you for rent? She said, nothing. And I asked her, how are your parents bad? What do they do to you? Here's what she told me. They wouldn't let me stay out past 12 a.m. They constantly monitor my every move, and they would always put me in these activities that I didn't care for. And I'm thinking of activities like activities in school? I mean, I don't really see the problem in that. And if they're monitoring you, well, hell, I monitor my damn kids, and they're grown. Especially my girls. Well, one of them's grown, one of them's still in high school. And I asked her, what did they what happened after graduation? Get this, they got her a 2020 Honda Accord, her dad paid cash for, but she didn't take it because she wanted a Tesla Model X. Who the hell turns down a 2020 Honda Accord after graduation that you didn't even pay for? What the hell? I asked her, I said, What do your parents do for work? She said, My dad works for the railroad, been there since he since she can remember. And her mom works as a nurse. So clearly they have a good paying job, and they gave you a life that you can only even dream of. And I asked, Did your mom and dad? Did they ever separate? She said, No, they were married right out of high school. Okay, normal. And I said, Did you have your own room? She said, Yes. Last question I asked, I said, You have sisters. What do they think of you? You said, I don't know. They don't talk to me that much. They said I was ungrateful and self-centered. I have to agree with the sisters on this. Because Diamond, you lost every bit of your rabbit ass mind. And I'd be damned if I let my daughters um come up that way. Now, here's the crazy thing. Diamond has had a good upbringing. She's had a good life, parents worked hard, daddy's with the railroad, mom was a nurse. Clearly, your daddy has been with the railroad probably even since before you were born. So I'm pretty sure he has a good pension, a good retirement plan, a good everything. It sounds like the home that you were brought up in was just one that only a kid could dream of. The fact that you would sit here, write me this letter, and tell me that stripping is a career for you, and that you're living in a house not only with your best friend but other girls, and there's a lady that takes you out to and from work, which I calmly known as the madam of the house. Just because you're not doing prostitution, don't think you ain't gonna get there because I gotta I guarantee you something else is gonna go down. The fact that you would say that you're gonna try to prove your parents wrong, that you don't want to work a boring 9 to 5 ass job. What the hell? What what the hell? Okay, a 9 to 5 job is that is a starting point. Let me tell you something, young lady. You're not grown yet. You ain't even seen grown. Grown ain't even hit you yet. It ain't even came to you yet. You are 19 years old, you are fresh out of high school. You should have stayed your ass at home. You should have stayed at home, you had a car, you had everything going for yourself. If people tell me I have potential and that I that I'm destined for great things, well, damn, I'm gonna do those great things. What you did is that not only did you slap your parents in the face, but you slapped your own damn self in the face because you decided you wanted to go to Vegas and be this high-class stripper. Let me tell you something stripping is okay for some. I'm not knocking it. I'm not. I'm not knocking being a stripper because that's what some people navigate to, but here's the thing. Not all strippers make it a career. They either do it because they either get like money to pay for schooling, college, or bills or whatever. So I'm not knocking it. But the reason you're doing it for is because you want to have a career out of it. You said you would be there until you didn't retire. Let me tell you something, girl. At a certain point in your age, stripping ain't gonna be in your damn future, and you'd be lucky if you make it a 40 while you stripping. Because I even though I don't frequent strip clubs, I've never seen I've I've been in a couple, but that's just not me. It's not me. I can't see myself throwing money at a female uh just to watch her either dance or move a certain way. If I wanted to watch somebody dance, I'd just go turn on TV and watch the videos. Or better yet, probably watch porn. I'm just saying, we all adults here, right? Diamond, you are every way, shape, form, or fashion, you are wrong. You're wrong about your life, you're wrong about your parents. Your sisters think that you're very ungrateful and you're self-centered. I tend to agree with them on that because I've never, well, I've seen it before, but and this is stuff you kind of see out in public, and you say, Oh, well, you know, it's not that bad, but it is kind of bad. You made it seem like your parents were just diabolically bad and just rude and just mean and that you didn't have the best life you had. You had your own room. I'm not sure what kind of house they have, but judging by what he does for a living, I'm pretty sure they have a nice size house and they took care of you and your sisters. Now, you say that you're looking for a Prince Charming. Sweetheart, I got I got news for you. Ain't no Prince Charming gonna walk to no damn door of a strip club and gonna turn a hoe into a housewife, real tall. That's what I'm gonna say. Because you want a reality check, you're damn sure about to get one here. You're damn sure about to get it. That's the problem with you little young ass females. Y'all get y'all get at that age where you think that you know everything that you don't. Listen, don't bring my daughters into this because my daughters don't wouldn't do nothing like this. And if they did, they're pretty sure they have the answer to me. But being the parent that I am, I may not have what your parents have, but my kids have a damn good life. And I try to provide them with the best life that they can possibly have. Now, if they want to be a stripper, that's fine. But I ain't heard no talks of nothing like that. I ain't ever heard nothing like that. You're 19 years old, you started dancing at the age of 10, but you were doing ballet. Maybe your parents and other people seen something in you that you could have had a career in the ballet or the arts or whatever. Or maybe they seen something in you because if you graduated and that you don't want to go to community college, college is college, you can learn anything at any college, maybe not be the college that you want, but damn it, they're trying. They try, and I know this is gonna hurt your parents more than it's probably gonna hurt you because well, hold on, maybe it's gonna hurt you more than it's gonna hurt them because there's two that you have two other siblings sisters at the home that clearly think you're ungrateful, and that that you're so self-centered. I'm trying to read how the hell do you even get this? Oh, I know how the the damn best friend that you have, yeah. Yeah, I would have nipped that right in the butt. Yes, I would have. I would've nipped that right in the butt because she came over to your house and had you feeling some type of way that you can talk to people any old kind of way. And the fact that your mom smacked the hell out of you when you were in eighth grade, clearly you didn't learn. You didn't learn. Don't look for a man to take care of you to do anything. Because let me tell you something, if you're looking for this man to come take care of you, I'm pretty sure he's probably gonna own you in some type of way. I'm not calling you no ho, but you you it's it it sounds as what you're leaning towards, and I don't oh my goodness, I don't understand it. Oh, hold on. So what I think you're doing is just not evil, but I just think it's just diabolical the way you're thinking that your parents who has worked so hard for you for probably your whole damn life, and that they were trying to get you to a place that of greatness, and that they believe in you, that they want to believe in you, but you're not believing in yourself. You're taking what your best friend told you, and you're gonna run with her. I got news for you. It's not gonna be what you think it is. That Prince Charming is gonna be somebody who's probably gonna go upside your damn head. No, you know what? I'm not gonna say that. I'm not gonna say that. I'm gonna say that Prince Charming could be somebody that's probably not gonna be good for you. He could be a wolf in sheep's clothing while you think he's good and he's gonna give you this life and this and the other. Screw let me tell you, Las Vegas is since city. I don't know anybody that goes to Vegas and comes out on top. I mean, I'm trying. Let me rephrase that. I don't know anybody in Vegas with your mindset that goes to Vegas and comes out on top. That sounds a lot better because your mindset is that you want to find a man in a strip club that's gonna walk to the door and whisk you right off your damn feet and take you to a place of life and life of laugh and luxury. No, you can get that on your own. See, had you would have stayed home and still be with your parents and probably put your life on together instead, you're running, you're you're running behind somebody, so you're being a follower, you're not being a leader, you're being a follower, you're following your best friend, which clearly I don't know what she does or what she doesn't do. And but if she talked that crazy to her parents and she told you that she does that with her parents, why would you want that for yourself? Sassy, I can't understand why it is that when we have friends that come over and friends think that just because they do what they
Fast Money Ends And Bills Stay
SPEAKER_03do at home that they're gonna do it at your place. No, it didn't work like that. Because I'm gonna tell you right now, none of my kids' friends have done none of that. Though I've seen them talk disrespectful to their parents, I would never allow that in my home. Ever. So you are a young 19-year-old little girl. I pray nothing happens, nothing bad happens to you because it seems like you're just being misguided and you're being misled by your best friend. And though your best friend may get the run of the world and gets the run of muck in her parents' house, that should not even go, not even close to what you're coming up with. Because it sounds like that she has it out for her parents, so you feel like you want to have it out for yours. And that's not fair because your parents have done everything right, everything to provide a roof over your head, to send you to school. Your daddy bought you a 2020 Honda core and pay cash for it. Who the hell? I wish I could do something like that for my kids. I do, but you know what? My kid's not ungrateful like you are. You're a very ungrateful young lady, and a day of reckoning is gonna come for you, and that reckoning might be really soon. And that said that I have to come to this, it has to come to this, but young lady, you need a serious reality check. And I pray to God that you get that reality check really soon. I pray that this life that you're going towards, I pray that nothing bad happens to you. I pray all the positivity over you, I pray that you just get yourself together because what you're going, the life that you're headed down now, is not gonna go the way you think it's gonna go. It's gonna go in a totally bad direction. The fact that you're staying with other girls in this house with with the lady who is is running this house, which I clearly still think this is some kind of brothel or some kind of something who takes you to and from work. I don't even know how that how would you even have time to do that. I don't get it. Oh my goodness, I don't get it. The positive thing in this letter is that your assistants are not following your footsteps. Because I got a feeling that they see the sacrifice and they see the taut, they see the blood, sweat, and tears that their parents are showing you or putting into this family that they don't want to follow your path. That's a good thing. The bad thing is that you're just really so arrogant and so self-centered, and you are very ungrateful. You're a very ungrateful young lady. I wish my parents would have given me a car from my graduation, but you know what? I didn't get that. But you know what I did do? I graduated and I told my mom thank you because I loved her because of what she did for me. So we not all may not have your lifestyle, we may not all be brought up in your lifestyle. But kids dream to have a lifestyle like you. I don't dream to have that lifestyle because I think the way that God gave me my life is what I is what he intended it for. Because look at me now, I'm a hardworking father who loves his kids. And though I may not have the best of any and everything, my kids still love me. I still am so glad to wake up to see if they're safe and that they're doing bigger and better things. And that's all I want. But you, young lady, you don't want that. You want to go out here and get this fast money. There's no such thing as fast money. You might be stripped, you might be a high dollar strip, you might be doing all this stuff in the clubs. But I guarantee you, again, that reckoning will come for you. Because while you're getting this fast money or doing whatever, I pray to God that you're not turning to drugs or that drugs don't take you in a way. I just pray to God that you're not doing none of that because it sounds like the best friend that you have sounds like she's a really bad influence, and you need to distance yourself away from her. This is why I don't have friends. Because friends are not going to influence what I do with my life, and that's exactly what this young lady's doing. She's trying to live through you because she's miserable, she's angry with her parents, so she wants you to be angry with your parents. Now, if her parents let her run amuck in their home and they let her get away with it, why should you go do that to your parents? Your life and her life is not even nowhere near close to being the same. Not even close. I can guarantee you, if she's not an only child, she's damn sure sounds like an only child. But you are not an only child. You have two other siblings that for the most part, or for the better part, looked up to you as you were going to school. And I got a feeling that they want the same for you as much as I want for you. And I want you to be positive. I want you to be a
Social Media And Dating Clients Warning
SPEAKER_03woman that knows how to go out and get things on her own. Use this and not this. Don't use what you got to get what you want. You should make the man work for. Don't give it up to him because you feel that his pockets are deep and that he can take care of you. There's no such thing as that. The kind of love that you want is not based upon love, it's based upon materialistic things, it's based off money. That never ends well. Never. While you're basing your life off the finer things in life or how you can live a certain way, you should be getting that on your own. You don't think going to work and dancing the strip falls a regular nine to five job? I got news for you. Just because your work is at night and you don't get out to like three or four o'clock in the morning, you're still working. Though you might be getting this money, I got another news for you. I hope you're paying taxes on it. Because if you ain't, they're gonna come for you. They gon' come for you. Ooh, this girl sent me into a frenzy. I've never known, and this is stuff you only see in the movies. I've never known any man to walk into a strip club and say, I'm gonna make you my wife. I've never known that. Maybe it does happen, maybe it doesn't. I don't know if it does or doesn't. And I'm not saying it can't happen, but some of these women that are that that do this, it's just because they're trying to get ahead in life. Because some of them don't have the college-backing parents that you have. And I don't care for this community college. School is school, college is college. You can learn
The Call Home Plan And Next Steps
SPEAKER_03anything, anywhere, anytime, any place. It's all up to you and how you perceive that dream. But if you want to keep going down this road, you're gonna spiral so bad out of control that it's just gonna be a devastating blow to you. I honestly don't think you and your best friends are gonna be good friends in the future. I really don't. Because her life is not your life. Because I got a feeling that she's just miserable for no damn reason. To me, it sounds like she's to me it sounds like she's an only child. And the only reason why I say that is because it sounds like that she's projecting her life onto you and then you're falling in line with her. So you're not being a leader, you're being a follower. Why would you want to follow somebody like that? Why would you want to follow somebody who knowingly disrespects their parents? That life is not gonna end well for her. It's not. And I don't wish nothing bad on you and her, but my suggestion to you, Miss Dime, is that I would take my ass back to Texas, I would apologize to my parents, I would kiss them and tell them thank you for any and everything that they continue to do for me. And as far as a car, it seems like you got a lot, a lot, a lot going for yourself. Not really a lot riding on you, but you have a lot going for yourself, but you're just trying to piss it away for no good reason. And I don't understand why you would do something like that. Why would you want to piss away a good life for somebody who don't give a damn about you? So clearly I made this pat that y'all were going to go to Vegas and be strippers. You may be 19, you may be young, you may be hot, you may be beautiful, but that don't last forever. It don't. You know, there was a stripper a while back. I'm not sure if some of you guys know that she was a stripper, and she was up on this poll, and she fell like, oh my god, she felt hard. And she like had to have her jaw wired or something like that, and and she, I mean, she felt really, really hard. And she finished her, she finished her dance, but then she went to the hospital. And then she told she went on the news or when she could talk and said that was her wake-up call. That she wasn't gonna strip anymore. She turned her life over to Jesus and got right with herself. Now I'm not saying that's gonna happen to you, but again, the kind of money that you're looking for is not gonna be good money. You don't know that the next man that walks through that door could be He could be projecting an image of success in order to succeed, but on the inside, he could be somebody totally different. Somebody who don't have your best interest at heart, somebody who doesn't really give a damn about you. You may be young, you may be 19, but you're very naive and you're very stupid. And I don't really get down on you know the people that send me letters, but sweetheart, you are very dumb, you're very stupid. You need to check yourself because you are having not even a valid crash out. This crash out is not even warranted. I think what you're doing is just very stupid, and I if if you were my daughter, I'd probably slap the hell out of you again. Just get some act right in you. Because the fact that you keep disrespecting your parents is just ridiculous. I mean, you have a dad who works with a railroad, and that and that job ain't hard. I know he's making good money. I know he's making damn good money. I know that for a fact. And your mother's a nurse. Why wouldn't you want to follow that lead? Why wouldn't you want to say, hey, let me prove my parents right by getting the education I need? Why wouldn't you want that? You know, I don't know why young girls think like this. And I and again, I blame social media for this. Um well, I can't really say I blame I put I put I blame social media 50% of the time because though we want to give our kids leeway and we want them to do the right thing, social media is gonna be out there. It's gonna be out there, it's gonna be out there for them to discover, but it's it's all about how they use the information and how they take that information and how they choose to go about life. So it can be a good thing or it can be a bad thing. In this case, I think it was a bad thing because not only did your friend entice you, I gotta say, if you're probably posting videos on social media, you need to be careful about that. I don't think you're using your real name, um, which I'm assuming this is your real name, um, but I'm pretty sure they gave you a stage name, and you have guys like coming in, sharing you gifts, you gotta be careful with that. Because some of these guys are just not right in the head. You know, they can detect your pattern, they can watch you, they can, you know, sit back in the cut and just trying to make their move at any given time. So I hope you're being safe and I hope you're being careful. And you're saying you're going out with these guys. Major red flag, major. You're going out with these guys because they're sharing you with gifts. The wrong guy, you're gonna take the wrong guy out, and though what you think he's gonna be sharing you with, he's gonna want something in return. So, I don't know if you're sexually active, I think you are, you probably are. You're 90 years old. If you're following your little hothead best friend, I'm pretty sure that you are. But in any event, you need to be careful because this is what I would do if I were you. I would call my parents, I would tell them that I love them, I would tell them that I'm sorry, that I said the bad things about them, about their jobs, because I know that the only thing you're trying to do was make sure that me and my siblings have a better life. Then I would go home. I would go home, I would hug them, I would kiss them, I would say, hey, I'm ready to go. I don't think I'm gonna do this, it's not for me. I would get into that community college, I would take the car that my dad bought first off, ooh man. Um I would kiss him and tell him thank you, thank you, thank you. Because I gotta be honest with you, you want a Tesla model, what is she saying? Tesla model X? Is that what she said? I don't know. I'm not a Tesla lover, and you can get those things, you can get those things as soon as you decide to get up off your ass and work for. Now, I'm not saying you can't get it now by stripping because you probably could, but let me tell you something, sweetheart. The maintenance on a Tesla alone in your area is probably gonna run you about maybe three, maybe $1,500 to $2,500, maybe. Because I know out here in this area it's about $1,100 a month on the maintenance, and those things you gotta keep up with. So if you want the finer things in life, why shouldn't you work for the finer things in life? You have a job now. If you want this life where you just want to sit at home and do nothing and let the man take care of you, I guarantee you that's gonna get old really quick. Because if he's not taking care of you, he's gonna be taking care of somebody else. So while you have this dream, I can even say you will have dreams of being a housewife. It sounds like you have dreams of being a gold digger. That's what I think. You say you don't want to come off as a gold digger, but to me you kind of are coming off as a gold digger because you want to have this life where the man takes care of you. And you want to build a home for your family. Well, how can you build a home if you're not contributing? How can you build a home if all you want to do is just sit back and kind of create the benefits? You don't want to work for, but you just want to enjoy the benefits. I don't get that. And that shouldn't even be that way. Because you are coming off as a really, really, really, really, really big gold digger. And and it shouldn't even be like that. It shouldn't happen like that. This is the problem with guys coming into the strip club because they see a woman up on stage and they think majority of them think that they can get this woman by just flashing a little bit of cash or saying what they do or what they don't have. Or what they do have, not what they don't. Because let's let's be honest, when you go into a strip club, you're being sold on a fantasy. A fantasy that these girls want you, a fantasy that these girls won't do any and everything that you ask them to do. They're only doing it because you're throwing money at them. I'm not sure how much money you're making out there in Vegas, but I guarantee you, again, you're young, you're beautiful, that ain't gonna last forever. Whether you choose to be a stripper for the rest of your life, I don't know. Cause I ain't never seen no woman past the age of 45 stripping, let alone 40. I don't know. Maybe I've seen it, I haven't. I ain't. But that's what I would do because I think the life that you're gonna think you're gonna get, I don't think it's gonna be the best life for you. I think you're going to come crawling back to your parents as well as you should. I think you should be thanking them from the bottom of your heart for what they have done for you and what they're continuing to do for you. Who cares if it's community college? I don't know what you want to be when you grow up, but apparently you have a mind for something, a mind of greatness for something. So if they're seeing that in you, I would take that and I would run with it. I would put that mind to work. Don't be like your friend and don't disrespect your parents because she feels the need that she I can I can imagine what their phone conversation is like every week if she calls her parents. I'm not even sure why she's rebelling. I don't. I don't get it, I don't know. But truth be told, no. Diamond from Texas. You went from Texas to Las Vegas to pursue your dreams of being an exotic dancer. That's not a dream, sweetheart. That's not even a career. That's just something that gets you over to where you need to get to. Maybe you can use that for that, I don't know. But it doesn't sound like you want it or needed for anything. It just sounds like you had two loving parents that really cared about you and that give a damn about you. And again, most kids would want that in their life. There's a lot of kids out here that don't even have that would want what you have. But they don't have that. But you have that, and you're just gonna squander away because you want to follow your best friend. I wish the hell I would follow somebody that I know that wouldn't have my best interest at heart. Again, I think you're there to make her feel good. You're there because she's probably lonely or she didn't have any siblings, or I don't know what her parents' situation is. I don't know. But I know your parents don't want this for you. I wouldn't even want this for you. Maybe you should talk some sense to your best friend. I hope this podcast finds you in good form. I hope that everything that I'm saying is kind of resonating with you. Because again, I have daughters, and I wouldn't want my daughters to go down that road. Because we know in Vegas prostitution is legal. I'm not sure if that's what you're leaning towards. Not saying that you are, but you want that kind of money? Who's to say what you won't do for that kind of money? All money ain't good money. Again, I'm not knocking anybody that is a stripper, I'm not, because if that's like you want. To choose that's like that you want to choose, and again I say I only knew of two strippers when I was living in Alabama, and they used that job to further their career, not as being a stripper, but to put themselves through school, through college, to get a better education or a better degree or to be something better than themselves. And that's fine. That's fine. The other lady I knew, she had gotten pregnant and she couldn't strip anymore until she had the baby. I don't know if she went back to stripping, but my hat's off to those women that do that. Because you young women today, I don't know what y'all think this life is. And if you're looking at social media to say, well, I can have I can have him and he can do that for me, don't think like that. Think that you are a woman, that your mind is a valuable asset to you, not your body parts, not what's on the outside, but what's on the inside is the only thing that should matter to you. Because when you use what's on the outside to get what you want, it's not gonna end well. You could come up pregnant or a disease or worse, you can be raped. I don't want that for you. I don't want that for no female. I think that's a horrible way to go. So I know that we see um we hear about people that used to be a stripper because I think Cardi B used to be a stripper, but she's not stripping no more. She's a multi-selling platinum artist or whatever. But and she used that platform to better herself, to better her life, and I'm not knocking that, and that's fine, that's good, but that shouldn't be your dream. Your dream is only beginning, it's just not starting. Don't let this dream become a nightmare for you, because I got a feeling that's what's going to happen, and I don't want that for you. I want you to be happy, I want you to be proud of who you are and what you're doing and what you're becoming, and that's what your parents want for you. Because if you were my daughter, that's what I would tell you. I would tell you I'm proud of you, I tell you I love you, and that I want this life for you. You're only 19 years old. To me, you're grown, but you're not somewhat grown. And I hate when people say they use those fans, I'm grown, because you're not grown.
Real Eyes Realize Real Lies
SPEAKER_03If you're emailing me about trying to get a French trying, I'm not gonna tell you how to get no damn man. I'm gonna tell you what you need to do for yourself, and maybe that man will come to you. Because if a man sees a woman taking care of himself, taking care of herself, and doing what's right, who's to say that man wouldn't fall in love with you? Because that's what men want these days, they want a strong woman. Some men don't, some men want a woman they can control. That's not me. I don't do that. And you shouldn't want that for yourself neither. Because if this man, if let's say you get with a man and you find your Prince Charming in the strip club, how do you think that's gonna end? You think you're gonna get married? He found you in a strip club. Let's just say that he can go back to the strip club anytime and find somebody else. You never know it could be your best friend. Never know. That's
Closing As A Father Plus Follow
SPEAKER_03all I'm saying. So it could be her, so it could be her, you never know. She could be the one that could take what you have. Because why? I don't know why. No, I know why, because you followed her, and if you're following her, and if let's say that she did take your man, what would you do? Would you be angry with her? Would you be pissed off at her? I don't know. No, I do know you would be pissed off with her, you'd be angry with her because she was your best friend, but she brought you out to Vegas, hooked up with your man, and took your life. How do you know that life's gonna even be a good life? That life may not even be a good life, that life may be just a life of pain and misery and sadness and just unhappiness. Realize, realize real lies. Real eyes, realize real lies. So, what I can say to you is Miss Diamond is that you need to think about everything that I'm saying. Think about the life that you want, think about the life that you want to create. Do you want your life to be an easy life or do you want it to be hard? And what I mean by hard, if you keep going down this road, it's gonna be a lot harder than what you think. Because this life, I don't think, is gonna be for you. I think when you guys just got to Vegas because you got fresh out of high school, to me, you're still kind of fresh out because you're only 19. So I think that you need to think about the life, the moves that you want to make in life. Because if I have a mind like yours and I had parents like yours, I would be I'd be at home with my parents. So again, you can get all these things by just working and putting your putting your best foot forward. You don't have to go down this road. When you start reacting to everything, life becomes much lighter. And what I mean by that, the reaction of your best friend. I don't care about losing people who don't want to be in my life anymore. I've lost people who meant the world to me, and I'm still doing just fine. And I think if you were to lose your best friend, I think that would be just you. I think you'd be doing just fine. Because let's be honest with you, I don't think your best friend has your best interest at heart. I think she's clear, I think she's conveniently using you. I think when she decided she wanted to go to Vegas, she didn't want to do it alone. She needed somebody back from back home to go there with her to try to prove her worth, but clearly I don't think she's doing just that. I think she's gonna get you mixed up in something that you have no business being in. And I think she's gonna in the end, I think of it, she's gonna hurt you. I honestly believe that. Because I'm not saying this to be bad, but I think that she's just not a good friend for you. Your mind has to be stronger than your feelings, it has to be. Because if it's not, what are you left with? What are you left with? Feelings. You're gonna feel some type of way because if you two are sharing this room now, and again, I thought you guys went out there to have your own place, you're living in the house with other females, and what I perceive to be a madam, but could not be a madam, because she's taking you back and forth to work, you guys are paying twelve hundred dollars a month in rent each, and you're splitting the utilities. I can almost guarantee you this is damn near a brothel. Now, using a brothel, you don't really pay rent, you the madam usually collects on the interest of the females providing a service to the men. I think you're missing, I think you're leaving something out. I think this is a brothel, and I don't know if you want to get out of it, but you should get out of it. Because let's just gotta just be honest with you, it's not a good look, it's not a good idea. So, ooh, Miss Diamond. So to get ready to close it down, the most dangerous lies are not the ones people tell you, they're the ones that you keep telling yourself to excuse someone else's behavior. Take that how you want, Miss Diamond. What I'm selling you, what I'm telling you is true. What I'm telling you is that you should be in your own lane, you should be your own person. Don't follow anybody. Make your own way in life. Make moves that you can be happy with because I got a feeling you are not happy. I think again that you should go home. I think you should go back to your parents, your siblings, and just be happy. If you want to follow up with me, please do that. Let me know how it goes. But as we get ready to close the show out, I want to say thank you to my listeners. Thank you for this show. This was a really not really a tough one, but uh kind of stinged a little bit because she's a young lady, she's 19 years old. My daughter, as you know, turned 18 and she graduated high school, and she's trying to find her way in life. But I'm guiding her to that way because that's who I am as a father. And again, they may not have had the best of any and everything, but my kids still love and they still appreciate me, and that's all I want. My kids know I'm not rich, my kids know I work hard for them, and that when I can get it, I'll get it for them. And that's all you need. You just need to be understand, you just need to be understood that your parents love you, that they only want what's best for you. Because if you as my daughter, that's what I would want for you. I want what's best for you, and I want you to succeed in life. I don't want you to go through life with heartaches and problems that have been created on somebody else's dying. Because that's what this is is a problem, because your best friend kind of created this problem, and you're just kind of following her, and you're not thinking for yourself, and you're not having your own thoughts and your own opinions. I'm so curious if not to know what your best friend's parents do, but then again, it's all up to you. So, while I hope the best for you, Miss Diamond, I hope that you will find your way in life, and I hope that you understand that there's more to life than just the finer things in life. There's family, there's the love of your family. There's the people that love you and that care that want to see you succeed. Go do that. Succeed at something, be great at something. Don't sit back and let somebody else take your dream away. Because the dream that they're taking away from you is gonna quickly become a nightmare. And when it becomes a nightmare, you're gonna be all upset, you're gonna really have a valid crash out, a really crash out. So well, people, as we get ready to close it out, I want to say thank y'all for listening to the show. Hopefully, you guys are having a good day. Miss Diamond, I hope this podcast finds you in a good way, and I hope you really take heed and listen to what I'm saying. If I can speak to you as a father, I am speaking to you as a father. I know I may have come off a little bit hot in the beginning, but it was warranted. It was warranted. I'm not calling you dumb, not calling you stupid, I'm not calling you nothing like that. I just think you need to make the right choice and do what's smart for yourself and go home to your family because they appreciate you. They appreciate you. Your best friend, I don't think she does. So I want to say thank y'all again for listening to the show. I am the icon. I'm gonna let y'all enjoy with this track, I'll let y'all glue this track. It's called New Car Smell. Not sure why it's that title, but by Bagel and Timothy Infinite Infinite. So until next time, y'all take care of yourself and each other. Y'all have a good one!
