Kia ora, I’m Eve! I used to host TV & radio shows here in Aotearoa New Zealand and now I’m up to my elbows in Mum Life (and often the bodily fluids that come with that.) I’ve never been happier, more exhausted, more fulfilled or as challenged as I am in this new role of parent so I created this podcast to share the highs and the lows with a community of like-minded people because let's be honest, parenting can be lonely sometimes. This week, I’m joined by the one and only K'Lee - singer, presenter, and supermum, who is raising six kids (yes, SIX!) ranging from a 7-month-old to full-blown teenagers. We dive into the real-life juggle of parenting a big whānau, from managing chores like a team sport to setting social media boundaries.
K'Lee opens up about raising her daughter Honour, a strong and independent four-year-old who has already braved major health challenges and come out shining. We talk about the power of embracing cultural diversity in a blended whānau, teaching kids to be proud of who they are, and how on earth she manages the logistics of running a household of eight.
With her refreshingly positive vibe, humour, and trademark warmth, K'Lee reminds us that parenting doesn’t have to be perfect if it's full of love.
