When a winter storm shut down our routines, we noticed something else opening: space to meet God without hurry. We explore “Snowvid” as more than weather, drawing from Job’s question about the treasures of the snow and Jesus’ quiet command, “Sit here while I pray.” Instead of filling the silence with screens, we look at how an altar—simple, personal, intentional—can anchor us when headlines, bills, and emotions run high.

We walk through Mary’s choice to sit at Jesus’ feet, Job’s image of washing with snow water, and the way God often speaks from darkness, whether in a whirlwind or a hidden holy place. Along the way, we get practical: how to build a small daily rhythm of listening prayer, what crockpot worship looks like, and how to shift from information overload to revelation that actually forms our decisions. We also ask hard questions with hope: What if suffering can be fellowship? What if shutdowns are appointments, not interruptions? What if the expanding darkness of our times is matched by fresh light—new “stars” of faith being kindled across the world?

This conversation is personal and grounded. We share a story about stepping away to pray during the Super Bowl, the tug-of-war with our own distractions, and the surprising peace that follows obedience. We reflect on intercession as partnership, on hearing the gentle voice that steadies the heart, and on rebuilding neglected altars so our homes become places of rest, not just refuge. If your soul feels thin, consider this your invitation to sit, listen, and be washed.

If this spoke to you, subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs a quiet word today. Then tell us: what one step will you take to rebuild your altar this week?

SPEAKER_00:

Praise God. Speaking with the Lord this morning, he began to kind of uh knit together a lot of ideas about the winter storm and uh all the snow and the impact of it. There's always more to this thing than what meets the eye. And um, I just believe the Lord uh spoke to me this morning to share this so that we get everything out of this uh that we can. And I'm being reminded at this very moment I was walking with my kids on yesterday through the snow, they were just no angels, and I'm just looking at the scene, uh walking through a neighborhood, and it was beautiful. And there's a beauty in this, right? The Bible says in uh Psalm 90, may the beauty of the Lord be upon us. And then it talks about establishing the work of our hands, that it's the beauty of God, the glory of God that He wants us to experience so that we can get to a place we've not yet been. So the question I'm asking is, have you considered this about the snow? I think it's a question the Lord has for us. Um I'm walking with my kids yesterday and they said um this is snow vid. And I said, Wow. It kinda is. You know, for those of us who are being impacted in a in a way where we can't really get around, a lot of stuff is closing. This is a snow vid. Businesses are closed, we're at home, our kids are not in school, and much like COVID, I believe the Lord has a deeper desire. I've been speaking about how this is the year of the altar 2026. And also about in the Hebrew, on the Hebrew calendar, this is the year of the anchor. And so those things intertwine. The altar is a place of meeting with God, it's a place of communion, a place of surrender, renewing your vows. And it's there that we anchor ourselves in him. We got all this stuff going on, man. What's going on in Minneapolis? We got ICE, we've got everything happening with the White House, we've got Israel and Gaza, we got Russia, we've got uh Ukraine with Russia, we've got all this stuff, and we can get caught up in the news cycle, caught up in our emotions, caught up in politics, caught up in our finances. Things are getting nothing but more expensive. And there are times the Lord institutes and ordains a shutdown, much like he did in the scriptures when he would bring a famine. It was a shutdown. The famines in the Bible were ordained. The Bible says in Job that it's God who ordains the snow to fall. He he commands the snow. Why is he doing it? We need to ask these questions. So I'm gonna take you to a couple verses because I'm not just talking about what I feel. This is what the Spirit of the Lord has been ministering to me. I was reading an end of this yesterday in my normal Bible studies, and I came across a couple of ideas that really stuck with me, and it began to unfold and knit together again this idea of Snovid, this idea of the altar and meeting with God. So why do we get shut down? Watch this. In Job 38 in verses 22 and 23, this is what it says. This is the Spirit of God. This is written by the Lord. He asks the question: Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? Or have you seen the treasures of the hail? There's an idea that when the Lord brings an amount of snow where we take notice, there are secret things, there are hidden treasures, there is something He wants to unveil. There is a knowing, a revelation, there is a peace, there is a fruitfulness, there is a blessing hidden in the snow in the shutdown, in the amount that creates a in an inconvenience where we can't be busy like we want to be. How many of us have been basically trying to be as busy as we were? We're trying to fill every moment of the day with something. God wants to sit you down and let you sit at his feet. The Bible says. He says, sit here while I pray. Wow. This is in the Garden of Gethsemane. The Spirit of the Lord told Jesus to speak this out of his mouth. He said, Sit here while I pray. Wow. I found myself praying for a brother yesterday. I can't remember who it was. But whoever I was praying for, I said out of my mouth, I said, Lord, pray for him. And I stopped when I said it. I was like, wow, that was strange. But then I realized that I had to be the Holy Ghost because it just spontaneously came out of my mouth. Lord, pray for him. You know the Spirit of God is praying for you. And there are times he wants you to hear what he's praying. Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? The Bible says that he will give you secret uh treasures in hidden places. God hides things for his friends. And he wants you to enter into the treasures of this snowstorm. Have you just sat down and just stopped working, stop being busy and allow the Spirit of God to minister to you? Sit here while I pray, says the Lord. The Bible says in Matthew 5, or we call it the Beatitudes. The Bible says Jesus sat down and they came to him. How many times do we hear the Lord going to the Mount of Olives to pray? It's the year of the altar. I want you to get acquainted with the idea that God is in control of everything and there's a spiritual connotation and a spiritual treasure to everything happening in the earth. And when he shuts us down, it's a time to be at the altar. The Bible says Mary got the revelation. She sat at his feet while everyone else was busy. Martha's in there complaining to the Lord. God, ask people to help me do more work. And the Bible says Jesus looked at Mary and spoke to Martha, and he said, You are worried about many things, but she has discovered what is necessary. What's necessary for you is to sit at the feet of the Savior. What's necessary for you as we are sitting at home burning up natural gas bills. Hey, if you're gonna pay for it, get something out of it. Our power bills are gonna make people mad. I was in the news for a season. People used to call the station angry about the bill. I get it. But we're using up these natural resources to be comfortable. And the Spirit of the Lord says, I need you to come to me and get peace. I need you to come to me in the midnight hour. You can sleep in. Glory to God. Am I preaching something I'm not doing? No, I've been with the Lord in the middle of the night during these last several days. I was doing it at the beginning of the year and going into the year because I discerned the year of the altar. My spirit is yearning for God. Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? Is the question in Job 38, 22. Listen, some folk like to say, oh, it don't take all that. It's too spiritual. Guess what? The Bible says, first the natural, then the spiritual. What you got to understand is the way God works is he does something in the earth, and then he invites you to find the spiritual meaning of it. Oh, somebody hear the Lord. He doesn't just want you to say, oh, look at all those people protesting in Minneapolis. No, he says, dive in. What am I saying in the earth? It's 2026. 26 is two times 13. Even unbelievers know 13 is a wicked number. Are we surprised that two times the wickedness is breaking forth in the land? What does that mean for those of us who are on the altar? We are to pray. Oh my God, the Bible says if we turn from our wicked ways and seek his face, he will hear from heaven and heal the land. His desire is for those at the altar to humble themselves and pray. The Bible says, if there's anyone sick among you, let him pray. Come on. Are you sick in your heart seeing all this stuff? The Bible says pray. Pray means to meet with him. It doesn't mean to be doing a spiritual exercise just to check a box. It means go after the beauty of Jesus in the middle of a storm. Can I tell you something about Job? When God shows up in Job 42, the Bible says he speaks out of a whirlwind. Oh, bless his name. We're in the middle of a snowstorm. Call it Snowvid. Glory to God. And his desire is to speak to you out of the storm. The storm in your heart, when you're looking at stuff around us, that just makes you upset. God wants to speak to you in this thing. The Bible says the altar, the ark of the covenant was in a place that had no light. The only light that was allowed in that space of the most holy place was the light that came from the holy place. Because when you entered into the most holy place, it was a time of God speaking to someone out of darkness. Somebody give God praise. Can I give you a natural idea, a prophetic sign in the earth? Watch this. The scientists will tell you space is always expanding. Space is literal space, y'all. I know we look up there and see blackness and we see stars and stuff, but it's literal space. It's an empty void that God created. That's what he meant in the in the in Genesis when the Bible says that everything was void. He had already banished the demonic spirits, and they were in a place that God did not call good. It was called darkness. And then he spoke into the darkness light, and that light was himself because it was before he created the sun. Glory to God. And so in darkness, God reveals himself. But space is always expanding. You can read about this. NASA's been doing studies. The light years of space are being created every single day. Space is expanding so fast, we'll never catch up. What does that mean? The Bible says, as darkness covers the earth and gross darkness, that the light of the Lord will break forth. As space is expanding, as darkness seems to be expanding in the natural world, God is doing what? He's bringing more light. And space, outer space is what I'm talking about, is expanding. There are quasars and brand new suns being created. Glory to God. There are brand new sources of light always being created. And God, when he spoke to Abram, he said, look up at the stars. Your descendants shall be more numerous than those. So every time darkness is being created, God's bringing more believers into the land. Come on, somebody. Are you at the altar praying and saying, God bring salvation in the midst of the storm? Are you sitting with Jesus and letting him pray through you as a vessel? May you be a voice in the land that's breaking things down. There are walls that are coming down in the spirit. God is inviting you into these times of prayer, intercession. What happens in the earth is a partnership between the Lord and his people. Do you believe our report? Is his question. When you hear the Lord speak, pray. The Lord wants me to give you this testimony. I was watching the Super Bowl like four or five years ago, and he had warned me that he was gonna do it. He said, Frank, I'm gonna ask you to steal away and pray during the Super Bowl. It was a test. Sure enough, I'm watching the Super Bowl. It was one of those Super Bowls the Chiefs were playing in. Spirit of God says, Frank, it's time to go pray. My flesh hated it because I wanted to see the game. I love, I love sports. Spirit of God then told me who was gonna win. He said, Come on, let's go pray. Guys, do you know how much he enjoys spending time with you? Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? Can I tell you what the treasure is? The treasure is Jesus Christ. You want to know Jesus better? Give him your time. The Bible says, Job 38, have you entered into the treasures of the snow? Have you seen the treasures of the hail? He wants to reveal himself to you in these times of Snovid. You're sitting down at home thinking, oh, let me just turn on Netflix and chill. Listen, that's demonic. It's sensual and it's devilish. Your spirit is asleep. If you have no desire to seek God in the middle of something unusual, wake up your spirit by beginning to go to the altar. May the Lord draw you to the altar and begin to do this. Watch this. I'm not done. Watch this. Look what else God does in the snow. This is also in the book of Job. Watch this, y'all. This is so good. The Bible says, Job 9:30, I wash myself with snow water. Oh God, give us glory. And he says that I make my hands never so clean. He wants to cleanse you of the earth's residue on your mind. He wants to cleanse you of traumas. He wants to cleanse you of depression and anxiety. You know how many people are on Zoloft right now? Because they don't sit with Jesus Christ? Shalom is his name. He is the Prince of Peace. He owns it, he rules over it, he distributes it, and he gives it unbelievably well. He will give you peace. So many people just need to sit with the Lord and let him pray. The Bible says you don't live on bread alone, but out of every word that comes out of the mouth of God, if you're not living on what God is speaking into your spirit, you're leaving things on the table. This is a time to sit in the valley and let God set a table before you. Don't dive into depression, don't dive into just social media consumption. Get into the spirit, get into the presence of God. I'm not asking you to memorize all the scriptures. I'm saying when you go into a room, into a closet, into a space in your home, sit down in a chair, bow on the floor, get on your knees, will you go and lay prostrate before the Lord? Turn on some worship music, turn on something instrumental that's been dedicated and offered to the Lord as a sacrifice and invite him to be your husband. Oh my God. Will you invite him to be your husband again? He's shutting us down because this is the year of the altar. Come on, somebody. Oh, do you see the mysteries that God has for you? He brings them in the middle of chaos. Hallelujah! Because chaos will bring you to a cave like Elijah when he thought a Jezebel was gonna kill him, and it was God's design to drive him into a dark, deep cave so that he could hear the whispers of the Holy Ghost. Oh, while the Lord is trying to get the whispers into your spirit, the world's getting louder. We're in the information age. Ain't been more confusion in the history of man. We got more information than mankind's ever had, and more folk are confused than ever. More folk using chakras and stones and praying of these demons. They don't even know why. Because they've been so consumed with information. What does information do? It creates things, it is a formation in your mind. God wants your formation to come from his voice. People get offended when you say, the Lord told me. Why? Because it's unusual. Not because you're crazy. Get into the presence of God and begin to learn his voice. It's a compassionate voice. It's a gentle voice. It's a kind voice. It's a slow, stewing voice. It's a crock pot voice. God said, stop being so in a hurry. Sit down and let's do some crockpot worship. Glory to God. What do you do when it's cold outside? You want some comfort food. Comfort food comes from the voice of the Lord. He wants to be your comforter. He wants to bring comfort into your spirit, but it requires stealing away and sitting with him while he prays. And the Bible says you will be washed with snow water. It's the word of the Lord, the washing of your soul by the water of the word. He wants to speak spontaneously into your heart, where the storm in your emotions has been driving you to be carnal and afraid. God says, Let me bring my perfect love where there is no fear. God wants someone to know this morning, you ain't got to fear your bills. Glory to God. Somebody on here is afraid of that gas bill because you've been living paycheck to paycheck. Can I give you an up? Can I give you some encouragement? God's gonna bring solutions, but you've got to be, you've got to have your ear to the heart of the Lord to find what he's saying. We want God to move, but we will pray and then we'll stand up and lead. No, pray and then listen. The Bible says, be quick to listen, slow to speak. This is a spiritual principle that I'm unveiling. We always talk about, oh, that's a that's a major key. I'm giving you a major key this morning. Stop talking and listen to God. Let the spirit of the living God, He's a living God, may He speak into the gates of your soul. Begin to yearn to hear Him, that He might enter into the gates of your soul and begin to evolve your emotions so that they line up with His emotions. Jesus has a soul and He wants you to know His soul. He doesn't want you to be going through issues of your own soul. He wants you to adopt His mind. You have the mind of Christ available to you as a believer, but you've got to receive it. And the Bible teaches in Mark chapter 4 when God speaks into you, it's the issues of this world and your heart that are hardening and eating up what he's speaking. And you've got to allow him to get that worry out of you so that you can receive the word of God. It takes time. I don't know about you, I've entered into prayer thousands of times with a lot on my mind, and it took time for me in silence, just laying before the Lord, before I could hear him. Sometimes hours. And see, this is gonna offend some people because you haven't yet apprehended the beauty of Jesus. And I'm not afraid of offending people because offense is a sign. It's a sign that your soul is not at rest in a truth. The Lord wants you to know the truth so that you'll be free. He doesn't want you to just hear it, he wants you to know it, be acquainted with it. His name is Jesus. Be acquainted with Jesus and his ways. Amen. That's why he washed the disciples' feet and said, That's enough. I just need to keep your path straight. I just need to keep your feet in the gospel. I just need to keep you established. I just need to keep you pursuing. I just need to keep you yearning for me. I just need you to keep walking in the spirit. I just need you to keep walking in the light. I just need you to be like Enoch and walk with God. It's all with God. We're in God, under God, we're dwelling. The Bible says Moses wrote this, and Moses knew God really well. He says, You've been our dwelling place from generation to generation. In this year of the altar, in this year of the anchor, make God your dwelling place. Somebody is getting their tallit out, somebody's getting their Bible, somebody is reacquainting themselves with the altar. And you're like Elijah on Mount Carmel. You're rebuilding an altar that has been out of use. Make that thing deeper, make that thing wider, make that thing more important in your heart. Look, your flesh will not like it. But listen the more you begin to hear the Lord affirm his love for you, the more you will seek the altar. It's worth the cost. Glory to God. We're gonna pay these, we're gonna pay Piedmont Natural Gas. Come on, somebody. We're gonna pay Duke Energy. Why? Because they'll shut it off if you don't pay the cost. Oh my God, we can't be like that with Jesus because there comes a time the Spirit of the Lord will cut you off. If he sees a heart is so wicked and unchanging and will never soften, he'll do just like he did with Pharaoh. He said, Pharaoh, let my people go many, many, many, many, many times. And eventually he took his son. Because his heart was hard and wicked and would not change. And so we don't want to be like Duke Energy. We don't want to experience what Duke Energy is going to do to some folk if they don't pay the bill. Listen, Duke Energy is not going to turn the bill off in the snowstorm. Oh, somebody get the prophetic word. Because the law of the land says it's cruel for them to turn off your gas and your power when you could die. And the law of the heavens, which the spirit of the God of God talks about in Job as well. There's a law of the heavens. And the law of the heavens is being revealed through the laws of the earth that there is a law. He will not cut you off in the midst of a storm. Oh man, we get offended when the storms show up. No, it's time to lean in because Duke Energy and the Spirit of God, He's not gonna cut you off in the middle of a storm. It's in the valley where the table is set. You learn God in dark times, you learn God in inconveniences, you learn God on the cross. You learn the fellowship of his sufferings. Hold on, wait a minute. Suffering is fellowship? Yes. To suffer is an opportunity to become closer to Jesus Christ. Oh my God. Listen, I'm getting off of here. I just wanted to encourage you. I'm gonna record something here in a minute about this and put it on our Faith Fire website. Listen, I am so committed to the work of God in 2026. God has set me free. And so I'm gonna ask you to share this word. I'm gonna ask you to get people to hear the voice of God. I used to be like, no, I'm not gonna ask people to promote it. Listen, if we could promote all this silly stuff out here, I'm gonna ask you to like and share. Get this thing into the spirit of as many people. Go to FaithfireWorldwide.com. We've been there since 2020 and we've been speaking the word of the Lord. We've been preaching all over the world. I see people in public. Frank, what are you doing now? People don't even know. I'm gonna start telling you what I'm doing. I'm going to Colombia, I'm going to Kenya, I'm going to South uh South Korea, and I'm preaching the gospel, and I'm laying hands on people, and they're getting set free from demonic oppression. Demons are crying out as people are getting set free. People are getting baptized in the Holy Ghost. We're seeing it. We're seeing it again and again in nations where they're hungry for the Lord. Listen, it's the poor in spirit that received the kingdom of God. So it behooves the Lord to make you poor. It behooves the Lord to break materialism in your life. It behooves the Lord to bring you to a place of humility. It behooves the Lord for you to experience rejection from people. The Bible says that he was a man who was rejected and considered, he was considered rejected, a man of sorrows. Listen, when you get rejected, say hello to Jesus and allow him to minister to you the beauty of his cross, because you have not had to suffer unto blood, striving against sin. But yet he saw enough pleasure and treasure in you that he gladly ran to the cross. This is Snovid. I want you to hunker down in prayer. Let's pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus, I believe you are bringing us to another level of intercession. I believe you're bringing your fruitful bride to another level of bringing forth. Glory to God. You called the bride when you spoke into Eve, Lord, the prophetic word, the mother of all living. The church is the mother of all living. You are bringing us into a place of spiritual fruitfulness in storms. Glory to God. Climate change has come from Jesus. And we say thank you. God, all these floods, God, these tornadoes that are going to be coming in the spring. It's an ordination of your will. You're letting the devil do a lot in the land. And instead of getting us to focus on him, I pray that you draw us back to the altar. Oh my God, I pray that when we come to the altar, we get ready to slay demons in the spirit. Oh, Elijah killed the prophets who were false. He took them out. Why? Because they were infecting the land with cancerous lies. God, I pray that we begin to get on the altar and to exhume all the lies that have been buried and hidden in the land and get rid of them through our prayer and intercession and partnership with you through our romantic surrender to your beauty. God, I pray that primarily what we get is what Job prophesied: that we see the treasures in the snow. And that we get cleansed by the waters of your word. This is my prayer, God, in the name of Jesus. And I ask that you come like the dew of Hermon and rest on your people. Gentle Spirit of God. Somebody's gonna begin to experience the dew in the morning of the Holy Ghost and how he brings peace. I pray that you, whoever's watching and listening to this, will be so in love with Jesus Christ that you will refuse to yearn for him and not answer the yearning. That you will refuse to discern AA. Your heart is far from him and refuse to do something. I declare in the name of Jesus from this day forward, you will not be able to ignore the magnetism of the love of Jesus Christ. I love you. I praise God for you. And Lord, I pray that the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart have been acceptable in your sight. I pray you will enter into the treasures of the snow during this snow day. May God bless you. May his face shine upon you, be gracious to you, may he lift his countenance upon you, and give you peace. I love you much.
