How Food And Drink Can Dull Your Spiritual Senses

Text me your comments or questions!
If you’ve ever felt spiritually foggy, distracted, or strangely unmoved by things that used to stir your faith, we go straight to an uncomfortable possibility: what if your eating and drinking habits are shaping your discernment more than you realize? We start with Matthew 6:33 and ask a simple but confronting question: do we actually seek God first, or do we seek comfort first and call it normal?
We talk candidly about overeating, binge eating, sugar and caffeine, and the “I deserve this” culture that can turn food into medication, reward, or identity. This isn’t a message against celebration or enjoyment. It’s a call to examine motive, timing, and submission, because the body is not separate from spiritual life. We connect modern realities like obesity, diabetes, and even the temptation to lean on quick fixes (including GLP-1 conversations) with the deeper issue of righteousness, humility, and stewardship.
Then we open 1 Samuel 25 and trace the contrast between Nabal and Abigail: pride that says “my bread, my water” versus humility that moves quickly in generosity, repentance, and wisdom. Along the way we highlight fasting and prayer as fellowship, a practical way to quiet the flesh and hear God’s voice more clearly, and we anchor it with scriptures from Hannah, Job, Noah, Isaiah, Romans 12, and Romans 14.
If you’re ready for a faith-driven reset around appetite, spiritual discipline, and hearing God with clarity, press play. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs it, and leave a review so more people can find the conversation.

Prayer And Focus For The Word
SPEAKER_00Hello, praise the Lord. So glad to be with you and um just sharing the heart of God. I'm not gonna spend a whole lot of time with uh introducing myself or getting um this thing uh set up or table set. I just kind of want to dig in. So I'm gonna pray and we're gonna go right into the word of the Lord. God, we're just grateful for your goodness and your spirit being present with us now. May this be all about fellowship. May this be the Sabbath rest of God for us as we receive what you're speaking. May it enter into our soul and our spirit and guide us, give us a foothold, give us footing, give us direction, and protect us, God because we eat on your word and we survive on it, and we operate it and we need it, and we're grateful and I use my mind and my mouth to minister to you and people, oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer. I pray this in your precious reputation, Jesus. Amen.
Seek First The Kingdom
SPEAKER_00So I trust that the Lord is gonna minister and he's going to guide um put this time together. I'm gonna try to make this as quick as possible. I want to start with a very foundational verse of scripture many of us know, uh Matthew 6.33, and it basically says, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. This is about Jesus. This is about the Father, this is about the Holy Spirit. Your whole life is centered on being in right standing with him and right relationship, and that requires pursuit. It requires activity and decision making and prioritization, making him supreme above all. And that's what we're really talking about today. And um, the Spirit of God has been ministering to me about the impact and the intoxicating impact of food and drink. I'm not just talking about ice cream and pizza, though I am talking about those things. I'm not just talking about wine and beer and liquor while I am talking about those things. I'm talking about the whole gamut. I'm talking about your heart position. Does the Lord own your body? Okay, this is a word not just for you, it's for me. And so I'm I'm very concerned because the Spirit of God has shown me how it grieves him when we're not acknowledging him in all of our ways, when we're not seeking first his kingdom. His kingdom is people. We're not seeking to be citizens, when we're not seeking to be living right in his eyes. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil. We don't want to call something that's injurious a good thing. However, culture does that daily, all day long, and can't stop. So we have to be careful we're not in the world and being like it. We're in the world, but we're not supposed to be like it. We're supposed to show the world what he is like. Glory to God. So
When Food Becomes Spiritual Dullness
SPEAKER_00let's talk about intoxicated food and drink and what the Lord has put in my spirit. I just want to foundationally say if you don't listen to any of the foundational scriptures or the illustrations that I'm about I'm about to provide, I want you to know this now. And you could turn this video off if you don't have time. What the Spirit of God has shown me is that it grieves him how our overeating, binge eating, um, our obesity, our overweight lifestyle in culture is intoxicating us to a place of dullness. It is bringing us to a place where we're not as aware. Jesus said, watch and pray. And in the scriptures, there is an exclamation point there to signify the intensity and the urgency of the word of the Lord there, that it is a very high priority to God that you're able to watch, to see, to be aware, to be as a watchman, one who is seeing things as they really are, in order to protect yourself and others. It's part of my job in the body of Christ is to alert, warn, protect, guide, encourage. Amen. So that's why I'm here. God wants you to be able to watch. God wants you to be able to hear his voice. His voice is often whispering to you. He's not going to scream at you all the time. He doesn't scream, mainly. He will do that that if there is an urgent need or an intensifying need that will preserve your life. He will do that. He does that by saying things more than one time often. But it's not always volume in your soul that you discern. Whoa. It requires a seeking, a pursuit. So what happens is when we're eating and when we're drinking, not just wine and spirits. I'm talking about Coca-Cola. I'm talking about orange juice. You know, these things are filled with sugar, they're filled with caffeine. You know, there are effects on your mind and body. And so I'm not one of those people that's going to tell you I eat pure, but I'm going to tell you that God is put me on this journey now to submit my body to him as his body, because it is. We are the body of Christ. We are to care for his body. Jesus loves his body. Jesus cares for his body. He cares for you and me. He attends to us, he nourishes us, he gives us nutrition, he washes us, cleanses us. And these are the things we can do in a practical way as well. And so I want you to understand the trick of the enemy is to think, oh, well, I'm saved, I'm healed, I'm gifted, I'm walking in the Spirit, I'm doing all this ministerial wonders, but you could still be dull and not know it. There's a scripture in the Bible that talks about an axe that is dull, it creates more work. When the axe is dull, you can chop down a
Submitting Your Body As Worship
SPEAKER_00tree, but it takes a whole lot more. That's in the scriptures. It's actually causing you to be tired. Can I go to the scriptures now? Let's go and talk about Nabal. All right. We're going to 1 Samuel chapter 25. And I'm going to read a lot of this, okay? I feel like I should read this to you. And I'm going to do it slowly, and then we're going to dig into it a little bit and go into a few more other scriptures. But first off, I'm telling you, if the Spirit of God is arresting your attention, it's because he wants to now purify the way you eat and give his mind to you about food. Glory to God. Jesus came eating and drinking. So it's not, we're not saying Jesus does not want you to enjoy yourself. He doesn't want you to have dessert. But there is a motive. The motive should be worship. The motive should be submission. The motive should be be in fellowship with him as you were eating it. Oh my God. So in 1 Samuel 25, we have the story of Nabal and David. All right. So David and his mighty men were in the wilderness. They were in the woods, and they were in Nabal's woods, the land he owned. And the Bible says in 1 Samuel 25, verse 4, when David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep, David sent 10 young men. So what was happening is they were guarding the shepherds that Nabal had who were caring for his sheep. And so David was volunteering his services. Amen. So he sends this cadre of ten young men. And in verse 6 it says, David says, This is what you should say to him who lives in prosperity. See, prosperity can be intoxicating. When you have access to a lot of things, you think, oh, because I have access to it, that means I should indulge. Well, we don't want to indulge. We want to be submitted. We want to be walking in love, joy, and peace and long suffering. These are the fruit of the Spirit. All right. He says, Tell this man, peace be to you, peace to your house, peace to all you have. God's saying this to you right now, peace to your house. This is how you're going to find it. He says, Now I've heard that you have shearers, your shepherds were with us, and we did not hurt them, nor was there anything missing. Verse 8, ask your young men and they will tell you. Verse 9, I'm abbreviating. So when David's young men came, they spoke to Nabal according to all these words in the name of David and waited. So it's like the Holy Spirit, who is sent from the Father to speak to you. He's a messenger. So these ten men represent the work of the Holy Spirit, who is to what? Remind you of what God is saying, or to give you access to his mind. So here comes the power of the Holy Spirit. But what does Nabal do? In verse 10, Nabal answered David's servants and said, Who is David? And who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants nowadays who break away each one from his master. Shall I then take my bread and my water, who really owns it? And my meat that I have killed for my shearers, and give it to men when I do not know where they are from? Nabal's exemplifying pride. So when we walk in prosperity and pride, we have the perfect mixture to intoxicate our senses in the spirit, not to know who God is. He didn't even recognize the voice of the Lord. He didn't even recognize the voice of his king because he was so caught up in what he thought he owned. Now we're going to talk about his lifestyle, which led to this pride in a moment. But David's response, listen to this. These young men came back. The Holy Spirit goes back and forth. You know, he's a messenger. David said to his men, every man gird on his sword. It angers the Lord when we reject his word. Now, God is angry but does not sin. So don't be upset that he's angry. He's angry because he grieves and he is disturbed when he's being good to you and you reject it out of pride. Now, if you reject it out of just not knowing it's the Lord, that's different. But when he sees the pride, it's just like Satan's pride. Okay? So he took 400 men, he was going to kill this man. Now listen to the woman who was walking with the Lord. Her name was Abigail in verse 14. One of the young men told Abigail, Nabal's wife, look, David sent messengers from the wilderness to greet our master, and he reviled them. So this is blaspheming the Holy Ghost. We cannot reap when we blaspheme the Holy Ghost. When we hear God's voice, but we say, that's not
Nabal And Prideful Ownership
SPEAKER_00God. We can't reap the harvest. So many of us are overweight, sick, diabetic because we are rejecting the word of the Lord in our lives. That we're thinking, oh, it's my food, my money, my restaurant, my outing, my way of relaxing, my way of medicating my pain and my stress, my way of enjoying the foods I like. And so pride's crept in and it's causing us to not reap. We failed to reap the goodness of God in our bodies. Amen. Somebody. They didn't get fat eating manna. I'm going to say that again. They did not get fat eating manna. Mana was pure. It came from heaven. It did not, and then the Lord, what did he do? He gave them boundaries. He says, only take enough for yourself for the day. Are you hearing the spirit in the mind of God? He foundationally wants to protect you from yourself. Your nature says, Because I can, I will. Because I have access to it, I will eat it. Because I have access to it, I will drink it whenever I want. I won't have any discipline. I won't submit my body to be disciplined by the Spirit of God. It angers him. It angers him. So watch what Abigail does in verse 18. The Spirit of God comes to bless you, but when we reject God in pride, now the Spirit of God is compelled to correct you because he wants to bring you into his heart. He doesn't want you to stay there. Abigail didn't have that problem. But watch this. In verse 18, Abigail made haste and took 200 loaves of bread. Look at this generosity. Two skins of wine, five sheep already dressed, prepared for eating, five sias of roasted grain, one hundred clusters of raisins, two hundred cakes of figs, and loaded them on donkeys. She received the word of the Lord in her spirit. This is a good man, and he deserves all that I can give. And she did it without permission. She didn't want to go to her husband for permission. Oh, hey, can we give this to them? She knew in her spirit, no, this is a time for generosity. And so we forget our body is supposed to be given over. What does Romans 12 say? It says that we should give ourselves over to be living sacrifices. And it literally says, Your bodies. Glory to the Lord. She said to her servants, Go on before me, I'm coming after you. But she did not tell her husband Nabah why. His heart was hard. Is your heart hard to this word? Is your heart hard to the idea that the Lord does not want you overweight, that he might want you to have a six-pack? I'm not saying you got to be a gym rat, but I'm saying you're being dulled if you're not in the spirit with food and drink. I'm going to show you that in a minute. So it was as she rode on the donkey, she went down under cover of the hill, and there was David and his men coming down toward her, and she met them. Her purpose was to meet the king. If you want to meet with God, if you want to be near him and have fellowship with him, you can't step away from that when the plate comes. You can't step away from that when you walk into the restaurant. You've got to bring him into it. Lord, what on this menu would you like me to have with you? Because you're doing it with him, or should be. Amen. So she met him, and David says, Surely in vain I've protected all this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that belongs to him, and he has repaid me evil for good. So when we re-reject God's wisdom, first of all, we're not walking in the fear of the Lord. The Bible says a person that does not change is a person that does not fear the Lord. So in our areas of life where we're not thriving in true prosperity, which is where we've submitted to God all that we are and what we think we have, we're not walking in true prosperity. And so we're missing it, and we're not getting goodness. We're actually repaying the Lord evil. I hope that gives you a reason to repent. Turn toward God. He says in verse 22, May God do so and more also to the enemies of David if I leave one male of all who belong to him by morning light. I mean, this is how angry the enemy can make us to God. The enemy tricks us and tries to make us no longer well pleasing. Oh my Lord, don't have time. But look at what Abigail did. She repented on behalf of her household. The Bible says a spouse, a wife, can sanctify her household. Watch this. Abigail saw David. She dismounted quickly from the donkey. She did not waste time to be generous, fell on her face before the Lord and bowed down to the ground. So she fell at his feet. This is worship. O me, my Lord, on me, my Lord. Let this iniquity be, and please let your maidservant speak in your ears and hear the words of your maidservant. Please let not my Lord regard this scoundrel, Nabal.
Abigail Steps In With Generosity
SPEAKER_00His name means fool. So when we are not submitting our possessions, including our bodies, to the Lord, we're acting like a fool. Bible says, fools despise wisdom and knowledge. For as his name is, so is he. Nabal is his name, and folly is with him. This is Abigail. But I, your maidservant, did not see the young men of my Lord whom you sent. Now, therefore, my Lord, this is her prayer, as the Lord lives and as your soul lives, since the Lord has held you back from coming to bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hand. Now then let your enemies and those who seek harm for my Lord be as Nabal. And now this present which your maidservant has brought to my Lord, let it be given to the young men who follow my Lord. Please forgive the trespass of your maidservant, for the Lord will certainly make for my Lord an enduring house, because my Lord fights the battles of the Lord, and evil is not found in you throughout your days. So she's praying and she's worshiping, and it's as she is doing unto the Lord Jesus, but it's it's to her practical, present, physical King David. It's showing in the spiritual principles that we can employ as we do this with our Savior, with our brother Jesus, with our Father, and with the Holy Spirit. Submit to Him. Like, look, God, I on behalf of my whole household, I repent, we have not submitted our bodies to you, we've not submitted our possessions that you've graced us with as good stewards to bring you a return on your investment. Remember, God gives and he expects a return. And so we should return to God a body physical that is okay and prepared for work. What kind of work? Not just getting money from your employer kind of work or from your business, but work in the spirit. And so by your senses, you have to pick up the Spirit of God, the word of the Lord, the work of God. What is he doing? And we are being tricked by the evil one that in our prosperity in this nation and in the Western world, that means that we shall eat what we want. The Bible says, don't touch the unclean thing. Let the Spirit of God teach you what's unclean to you. What is it the Spirit of God says you should not eat? Other people can, but you can't. I don't know what it is, but God's going to show you. Now let's go down to Nabel. I talked about this intoxication. What happened here was David then took Abigail as his wife. What is the principle here? That as I continue to give over myself, including my body, my dietary needs, my dietary decisions, I become more of a bride to Jesus. I become more bride-like. I become more well-pleasing. He brings me into his tent, into his camp. This is where the Spirit of God speaks, in the secret place. And so there are things and secrets and treasures many of us don't have reasons why some of us are still in poverty, some of us are still struggling in certain areas of our lives. It's because we've been medicating with the thing the enemy has put before you, which is food and drink. And he's trying to convince you, oh no, God overlooks it. Well, no, it's not about him overlooking it, it's still not healthy for you. The Bible says, love him with all your heart, soul, mind, strength. And then Jesus comes and says, All your mind. The way you think about food should come from Jesus. So, verse 36, 1 Samuel 25, now Abigail went to Nabal, and there he was, holding a feast in his house like the feast of a king. This is his issue. He thinks I'm the king. I'm going to live like a king. Sisters and brothers, I'm going to tell you, this is rampant in the church. People that think that being a son means being a king that is full of pride. No. No. We're to be like Jonathan, the one who can see the work of God and we pursue the work of God. No matter what is surrounding us, no matter how much power and influence is around us, we are humble. Because if we're not humble, he will humble us. And this is why we have issues. If we're not handing over our bodies to the Lord or other things, but in this context, we're talking about how we minister to the Lord and minister to his body. You are a member of the body of Christ. You are part of his body. He chose you to be part of him. He wants you to be nutritious. He wants you to be nourished. He wants you to be healthy. He wants me to be. Amen, it's a word for me as well. Abigail went to Nabal. There he was, holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king, because that's who we thought he was, but he was a fool. So many people who think they're walking with God and I'm walking like a king and a son of God. That pride, I'm telling you, it's subtle, but that thing makes you a fool. You can't even see it because you're blind. This is what Nabal's issue was. He was blinded by this idea that I've arrived. I don't need to be submitted. I can't even hear the voice of God, even though I think I can, because my prosperity is proof that I can hear God. See, the Bible says a rich man should be highly excited when he's brought low. That means a person of pride. You should seek God to bring you low.
Drunken Feasting And The Cost
SPEAKER_00It says, and Nabal's heart was merry within him, for he was very what? Drunk. See, you're getting drunk by eating the wrong things at the wrong time. I'm not saying don't have a birthday party and eat cake. I'm saying at night at 11 o'clock, don't reach for the cake. I'm saying, is there time God has for you to be in prayer that you've actually been spending time with him eating? This is why fasting was instituted by God. Our flesh is desperately wicked. It's deceitful above all things. And so we can't really hear him and be close and near to his heart sometimes until we stop eating. It is quieting the voice of your flesh so you can hear God and know his heart. And what? Renew your vows, renew your commitment, improve your stock by what? Seeking the word of the Lord. That's why we fast and pray. It's not just fasting, it's about fellowship. Listening. He was very drunk, intoxicated, dull, blind, and deaf. Therefore, listen to this. Abigail told him nothing. She couldn't even talk to him. There are times the Spirit of God can't talk to you. She told him nothing, little or much, until morning light. This is why some of us get dreams. This is why sometimes when you wake up in the morning, it's like, oh, this is when I hear God best. Yeah, that's actually. Principle that seeking him in the morning, you're going to hear him. But sometimes because you've been medicating with pizza at 10 p.m. Verse 37 So it was in the morning when the wine had gone from Nabal. Listen to this now. So it was in the morning when the wine had gone from Nabal. It was only after he had come down from his intoxication of his what? Body, which is also connected to the mind, because when you're intoxicated, your brain cells are being impacted, your ability to process. And his wife had told him these things that his heart died within him and he became like a stone. Then it happened after about 10 days that the Lord struck Nabal and he died, because he still wasn't going to change. And the truth of the matter is, some of us are not going to change. You're not going to think this is really God. I pray he doesn't kill you. I mean, I'm not saying he's going to kill you, but it kills your spirit. I really get concerned when I see I'm not going to go there. Verse 39. So when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the Lord who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal and has kept his servant from evil. For the Lord has returned the wickedness of Nabal on his own head. God sees your unbridled feeding as wickedness. Gluttony, you know, they say is one of the seven deadly sins. I don't know where that really comes from in scripture. It's not my job here today to do that. But I'm going to give you some other verses of scripture just to fortify what we're talking about. God is really in tune to this. I mean, we're in an obesity epidemic. We have a diabetic epidemic. Um, we have a heart disease epidemic, um, and it's not the will of God. And so here's what bothers me is we will pray for people to get healed, but we don't tell them you need to eat different. So we're putting the car before the horse. We're saying you don't need to be obedient in worshiping God through your body. Just eat how you want, and we're going to pray for you to be healed. Well, the revelation of God's love for them is really principally hidden in their um discerning the need to submit to him their whole lives, including how they eat. And believing God by faith that he can do it. Many of us don't think we can, and we have medicated ourselves to think that's okay. God overlooks it, he turns a blind eye to it, oh, he knows how I am, and I'm gonna eat how I want, and and and really that's a faithlessness. In 1 Samuel verse uh chapter 1,
Fasting To Hear God Clearly
SPEAKER_00it talks about Hannah. Um and it says in verse 9 in 1 Samuel 1, Hannah arose after they finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. So they had gone to the feast and she had an issue, she didn't have a son, and the Bible says she did not eat. So she had gone to her husband with this issue. He was like, Haven't I been better to you than ten sons? I mean, why do you think you need to have a son? But she knew what she heard, and she was not satisfied, and so her body she gave over to the Lord. I'm not gonna eat, even though everyone else around me is feasting at a holy convocation. It was for the temple. They would have gone up to the feast. It wasn't like the people were being unholy, but she knew for her to be submitted to God fully, God was saying to her, No, no, no, what I have for you requires you to submit your diet to me. And so she goes to Eli and prays. And of course, we know Samuel was born, and all of history was altered. Listen to this in Job chapter 1, verse 13. Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house, and a messenger came to Job and said, The oxen were ploughing and the donkeys feeding beside them, when the Samians raided them and took them away. So his sons and daughters are eating and drinking wine, intoxicated, dulling their senses, and this messenger came to Job. They had no idea what was going on. Why is that important? That they didn't know, that they couldn't watch and pray, that they had no sense of what was going on. Let me tell you why. Because it goes on to say in verse 18, while he was still speaking, this was the messenger, another messenger came and said, Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house, and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they were dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you. Because they didn't know what was going on, and they were dull and medicated by food and drink and merriment. The Bible calls it um uh Lord, what's the word I'm thinking of? It's revelry, but that's not the word I'm thinking of. It's gonna come to me. But they didn't know what was going on, and they they they they were unaware and died. They were eating and drinking in the beginning, and they were eating and drinking and they died. Alright, let me show you again. Jesus says in Matthew 24 But as the days of Noah were, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. Listen to this. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the Ark. And listen to this in verse 39. And they did not know until the flood
Hannah, Job, And Sudden Loss
SPEAKER_00came and took them all away, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. Physical eating too much, eating at the wrong time, eating, just overeating, and and and worshiping food is what we're talking about. And drink, sprite, coke, sandpellegrino, I don't know. Worship of food is is an idolatry and it keeps you blind. They didn't know. Noah was preaching. I guarantee you, Noah was telling people what was coming. And these folks couldn't even hear him because they were living it up in prosperity. Isaiah 5 and 18. Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity and sin as if it were a cart with a cart rope, that say, Let him make speed and hasten his work that we may see it. Talking about God, mocking him, and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come that we may know it. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight. Woe to men mighty in drinking wine, woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink. This is not just metaphor. Isaiah is speaking the word of the Lord that people who live like this are people who are mocking God, saying, Oh, well, if he's God, let him speak while I'm drinking and do what I want. If he's God and he loves me so much that he can speak to me, well, here he is speaking. And God says, Woe to those people, because they're calling evil good. They're saying, I don't need to be holy, I don't need to be sanctified, I don't need to be submitted to the Lord. I can live how I want. Romans 14, 17. For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Let me tell you something foundational that's happening in the body of Christ. We are so tempted and falling into temptation about practical treasure, material things, material power, what we're seeing in government, and how it's being called righteousness. No, it's pride and it's woe because it's being called good when it's actually evil. It's wickedness, power mongering, rebuking nations, making fun of other nations and their people. I'm not getting political. I'm telling you what God hates. He hates pride. He hates it. It is an abomination. So if you have a problem with homosexuality, I hope you have just
Noah’s Days And Isaiah’s Warnings
SPEAKER_00as much of a problem with pride. I hope that you get just as disgusted with people mocking other people and saying this is how God acts and being prideful and winking and smirking and trying to oppress people, put their feet on people's necks, and show who's boss. You better not talk to us like this. We've done this for you. It doesn't sound like Jesus because it ain't, and I want you to hate it because God does too. And it's the same with your body, because the kingdom of God, the people of God, a kingdom is a people, is not a kingdom of eating and drinking. It's a kingdom of fasting and praying. Do you find it hard to fast? It's time to deal with your diet. It's time to deal with what you eat. What was the first thing we learned about Daniel after they were taken into the palace of their oppressor? They refuse to eat like those around them. They refused to eat like those who were living in prosperity. They could have left those behind who were called Jews and said, We're special. We're going to govern and we're going to act like they do, and we're going to take on their attitude. And we're going to what? Dig into all this treasure that's being given to us because we're special. No, these brothers said, I'm not eating from that table. That's a table of wickedness. God gives you a table in a valley, it's a humble place. Our prosperity is in our humility. I pray that you humble yourself before the Lord. I'm going to wrap this up with just this thought. God loves your body. And he wants you to love your body more and more and more like he does. Present your bodies as a living sacrifice. Oh my Lord. Present your body as a living sacrifice. I know this is the word of God, and I know he's preserving and protecting and literally snatching some of us out of the fire right now. And God, I pray now you anoint this word with the power to perform what you sent it to do. Some of us are going to have a hard heart, and he's going to know that's what you were going to do before he sent it, and you're going to reject this word. But for those who might even have shallow earth, I pray, God, that you cause their heart to soften, even those who are hard-hearted, I pray for the anointing of power with this word to impact the hearer, not to be a hearer only, but to be a doer. Oh my God. God says you're not just going to hear this word, you're going to do it. For those
Living Sacrifice And Final Prayer
SPEAKER_00of you who have been struggling with your weight and doing the GLP ones, listen, I don't think that all medicine's bad, but I'm going to tell you something. Have you sought the Lord first and his righteousness? And the Bible says, if you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, then all these other things will be added. God wants to add to your life, he wants to impact your life. It starts with humbling yourself before the Lord, seeking him and his righteousness, and he will give you the ability to serve him. You don't think God wants to give you the ability to serve him? He says he gives you all that you need. I am your shepherd. You have all you need. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. You can have a complaint before the Lord, you can have a yearning before the Lord, you can have a need before the Lord, but God has already given what you need in that moment, and He's giving you a word right now to receive faith to do what you might think is impossible. Serve God with your whole heart, your mind, your soul, and your strength. Strength comes from being weak. Oh my God. Strength comes from strength comes because we've said I'm weak and now I'm going to be strong. I'm presenting my body as a sacrifice. What does that mean? God take my body and slaughter it for your glory. May blood flow. May the sacrifice give you glory. May the cost be my indication of my heart being sold out to you because you're worth the cost of the pain of my body saying, I want more, and me saying, No more. I'm gonna bless the Lord. Oh my God, Father, I'm thankful for this anointing of your love. The anointing is love. That's what it is. Put your love on us now. May your love bring us into your goodness as always through this word. In the name of Jesus, I'm declaring breakthrough in your life because of his reputation. The Bible says he cannot deny who he is. When we are faithless, he is faithful. It's never about us, it's about our affections. We are limited by our affection for him. How much do you love me, Peter? Do you love me? Insert your name there. Do you love me, Miranda? Do you love me, Dana? Do you love me, Donald? Do you love me, Darius? Do you love me? Abigail. Abigail loved the Lord. And she saw the foolishness in her household. She says, It's not going to be me. I'm going to be generous. No matter how much we think we own, it belongs to the Lord, and I'm giving it to him. Everything. I'm not going to be intoxicated by what I have access to. Because what I really want access to is Him, my God. May this be done unto you as He has spoken. I praise God for you sitting through this. If you read or watched or listened to this whole word, may the Lord bless you and keep
