Tune in for a special announcement! I need your help, and your feedback. Help to grow the podcast, and feedback on...daily journals! 3 things to take joy in, 3 things to pray for, 3 things to be thankful for (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

#SetYourMindAbovePodcast

Welcome back everyone to the Set Your Mind Above Podcast for a special announcement. I’m going to go off script here for a minute to ask you for your help! The first is something I need you to do, the second is some feedback that I could use from you the listeners!

First, the best way to grow this podcast is organically through you! That takes place when you share this podcast with others, and the easiest way to do that is through social media! By going to the Set Your Mind Above Facebook page, you can quickly and easily invite all your friends to join us in this journey together! An announcement detailing how to do that step by step has been posted on the Facebook page, so if you are able to, head over there, follow the steps, and let’s see how many more people we can encourage to set their minds above!

Second, I need your feedback. Recently my brother-in-law started journaling each day three things that he is grateful for. He shared with me and others how much it has benefitted him spiritually and mentally to do this every day. I started doing it and I found that it helps me tremendously to set my mind above at the start of each day. As I started doing this, my mind went to 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 which says, “Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” That’s when it hit me: how much would it help for me to start or end every day in a journal by writing about these things?

I have started to design a journal to this effect. Every day I would write 3 things to take joy in, 3 things to pray for, and 3 things to be thankful for. To top it off, on each day at the bottom, there will be a section to write down what every day, ordinary event taught me an extraordinary spiritual truth. So the feedback I need from you is this: would something like this help you in your spiritual walk to set your mind above? If you would like me make something like this available, please reach out to me via the Set Your Mind Above page or my personal Facebook page & let me know! I need to hear from you about it.

While I wait to hear from you, I want you to know that I will be doing this every day. In fact, I stopped into Hobby Lobby today and got me a new journal to use in the meantime. I believe this will be a wonderful practice to help me with my spiritual walk every day, and I want to invite you to do it with me. Until we publish the journals, nothing is stopping you from doing this along with me now. Grab a piece of paper, a new notebook or journal, the back of a receipt, anything will work. And starting tomorrow, write down 3 things to take joy in, 3 things to pray for, and 3 things to be thankful for. If you want to go the extra mile, at the bottom start writing a brief lesson you’ve learned from an everyday, ordinary event that day. I hope this helps you as much as it will help me, and I can’t wait to hear from you soon! Until then, know that I love you, that God loves you, and may we all each & every day set our minds above!
