SERMON ON THE MOUNT - HOW GOOD IS GOOD ENOUGH?

The Sermon on the Mount is Jesus’ longest recorded sermon in the Bible. His words to the disciples and curious crowds were radical! And they still are today. Instead of just teaching people to follow a list of religious rules, Jesus taught them the importance of obeying God from the heart.

True followers of Jesus follow Him in all things, even in their most private thoughts. Essentially, Jesus uses the sermon to ask us this question: Will you really follow me? Our answer to that question has eternal significance. It is only as true followers of Christ, with the help of the Holy Spirit in us, that we can accept Jesus’ words and live life from the right heart.
