GKG's Managing Director of Inclusion & Culture, Donnielle DeMesme, hosts a conversation about Juneteenth, on this episode of the Golden Key Group On Air podcast. Donnielle is joined by guest Stefan Bradley, Professor in the African American Studies Department at Loyola Marymount University in California. Stefan discusses the origins of Juneteenth and its historical significance and shares his thoughts on how Americans should celebrate and remember Juneteenth.

Stefan will be appearing in a History channel documentary premiering June 19th that is produced by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar entitled, “Fight the Power.” Stefan is also the author of the books “Upending the Ivory Tower: Civil Rights, Black Power, and the Ivy League,” and “Harlem vs. Columbia University: Black Student Power in the Late 1960s.” He has received many awards for his scholarship and is frequently invited to lecture across the nation. We're so thrilled he joined our podcast!
