It is most heartbreaking hearing God blasphemed by professing Christians in this age. False teachers and self-appointed servants are given to pronouncing lies and sinful teachings in the hallowed Name of the Lord; their followers are barking orders irreverently at God in the vain practice of what they consider to be prayers.
The Lord is the high eternal One, before whom every knee must bow; nobody can tell God what to do! A fruitful prayer life consists of a humble and reverent communication with God, from a heart full of love for Him and lips filled with praise. We will do well to hear what God says of Himself as He reveals His own Person to us in the holy scriptures, and honour Him accordingly.
