Later in this episode, Physician’s Weekly speaks with Professor Richard Sullivan, Professor of Cancer and Global Health at King’s College London, and Director of the Institute of Cancer Policy (ICP) and co-Director of the Conflict and Health Research Group. Prof. Sullivan's studies the impact of conflict on health. Professor Sullivan qualified in medicine and trained in surgery (urology), gaining his PhD from University College London. He was also clinical director of Cancer Research UK between 1999 and 2008. Prof. Sullivan talks about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and how healthcare there will be drastically affected.
But first, Physician’s Weekly’s correspondent talks with our regular contributor, Dr MedLaw. Dr MedLaw is a board certified radiologist as well as a medical malpractice attorney, and today she turns her focus on expert witnesses, how are they selected, what are the expectations, and she gives some juicy bad examples of expert witnesses as well.
