Here's a God of the game historic rivalries in sport usually come out of geopolitical reasons, and when those feelings turn into performances on field, we witness sporting spectacles. This Sunday, 24 October is going to be one such spectacle. Cancel your plans. Charge those iPads and laptops. It's time to use all the multiscreen subscriptions as sporting teams across football and cricket are going to fight for pride. We also discuss the minor matters of Champions League, F One and the Denmark Opening. Let's go. Absolutely. Welcome, hello and welcome to episode 41 of Sports Church. Aware we are not recording on a Thursday night, but on a Friday night to discuss the Midweek Champions League games quickly, but spend more time to preview what I personally wanted to call the bazooka weekend for sports fans across the world to do. That all, let me welcome Ishan Hi guys. So excited for this podcast and is it a bazooka weekend, Bala, or just a bazooka Sunday? Good question. Yeah, it could be only bazooka Sunday. There's actually nothing much on Saturday. So let's move on to the Midweek Champions League fixtures that happened during Tuesday night and Wednesday night. The first game, in fact, one of the most top game was Manchester United versus Atlanta. Ole once again finding something out of nothing. Ole finding Christiano Ronaldo. It's as simple as that, but it was quite an interesting match. I really felt that it would have done United a lot of a big favor if they hadn't won it because they didn't deserve to. Olay so far and throughout his United career has been escaping these inevitably by the scruff of his neck. And in the first half it felt like Atlanta would score about four or five. The formation was all wrong. Pogba, by the way, was on the bench, but in the second half, Pogba came on. The game changed. Rashford was finding space like he always does, long balls. And the moment United Rashford scored, you could see the fans at Old Trafford rallying behind because they were, by the way, booed off at halftime. So that Rashford goal actually made a lot of huge difference for the momentum shift. And as usual, Mr. Ronaldo at the end like he always does, Mr. Clutch himself scores the winner for United States for another weekend, I would say. So I used to log into this clubhouse groups during the match. I used to join their watch alongs. It's a little funny to get the immediate fan reaction. So there was a set of United fans who were actually a little sad that United won the game because they wanted them to lose. And the game the Liverpool game in the weekend so that Olay will be finally kicked out of coaching. But yeah, they were in two minds whether to be happy that they have one or they are going to stay. So they are the Rivers of Baziga, I would say. Speaking of confused fans, let's talk about Barcelona's one winner victory over here because Congratulations Bala, you actually won a game but you could see the fans were a bit confused as to should we be celebrating? Should we be celebrating every attack that happens? Because I think right now, especially with Kuman in charge, I think the fans don't know what to expect. More importantly, Kuman doesn't know what to expect but they're still reeling off the Ansu Fati Fever and Jared PK the old man's Court. So yeah, good win for Barcelona as well. By the way, the first win this Champion League. Yeah, first win, first goal. And apparently campaign was only half full so there were lots of empty seats. So yeah, not a great in terms of spectacle. But see if you are a parcel on a fan and not the one who is going to go and watch the games in the ground, you will take any win at this point of time, especially with Classico coming right ahead. But yeah, win is always a win. So those are some of the big games that happened in some of the best games that happened was the Athletico Madrid Liverpool game will just quickly spend about half a minute on this. Issan I was half happy and half sad. Graceman turned her to zero in no time. I think three key pointers for the game. The Liverpool defense with Van Dyke and Marty isn't looking that strong like it used to be. It was quite especially after taking a lead. I thought it's going to be a big win but they again lost their concentration. They've done this in the past against Brentford as well. They lost concentration and Atletico Capitalized point to Greeceman hopefully back in top. Very good, well taken goals and obviously a red card for a super kick Sean Michael style on Feminino. And lastly Jao Felix was almost unplayable. The way he was swimming across the Liverpool defense was great to watch but I think finally just end with Momasala the man of the hour, the guy who can probably take away our Airways from saying Levondowski. I think Salah is the new Lewandowski for us on this podcast. Great. Now other big results. Real Madrid put five against Shakhtar, Ayatz put four against Dortmund and other usual teams like Bayern one four man City one five, one PSG came from behind against Live Six and won 32. So no major upset so far. In fact, the slightly bigger upset was not winning a single game. But other than that all the teams are looking good. So now in the next stage you will see all the reverse fixtures happening. So three games are over, the remaining three games are going to decide who's going to qualify and who are going to get dropped to Europa League. Now here's the big one. In fact, this is the weekend that I have been looking forward to for quite a while, ever since the fixture list was revealed during the beginning of the season because this is where what we call as a football royalty comes in. All the big teams. When I say big teams, historically significant teams fighting against each other, fighting for pride, there's a lot at stake, not just three points. These are the big Derbys that happen across Europe. We are going to start with probably the biggest one ever. This is the El Classico, Barcelona versus Real Madrid. Now this is happening on a Sunday night, 07:45 p.m. Indian audience. As you say, it's on MTV, it's on wood. So Ishaan let's start with this. Based on current form, based on what we have seen in the last two, three weeks, what is your initial predictions? It's a Classico. I'm very superstitious about these games. I don't want to give predictions because at the risk of failing miserably, historically, when I last gave a prediction, we lost 61 or 62 and I had predicted a phone in Real Madrid victory, so that didn't go too well. So I'm going to stay away from that. But speaking of record breaking, Real Madrid have a chance to make history. This will be the first time ever in the Classic that any club like either bastard. Madrid won four on the trot and Madrid are at three and four. If they win this game, it will be for, which is unbelievable. Will that be enough for Kuman to go? I don't know. But when you look at form, Madrid coming into the game as favorites, they have a match and why I say that is one. They have players in form, plus they have experience, as we saw against Shaktar, Ancelotti, went back to form, went back to default with Casamiro, Cruz, Mordridge. Those three guys again, even like the likes of Gavi Pedro, they're really talented players, but still maturing, that might be a difference maker. Plus they have Kareem Benzema. So I would say onset of this game. I would say Madrid are favorites, but it's Barcelona at Camp Nou. They're expecting about 70,000 people, not full capacity, but 70,000 is good enough. So it could go any other way. It could change the season momentum of the season for either of these clubs. What do you think, Bala? Pretty much exactly what you think. Otherwise, I don't expect Basa to win this game. I would at least want them to draw if possible. But everything points to a real victory. I hope it's not an embarrassing one, but I see a player is missing again. The team itself is not that strong. We all know about that. There's no hiding away from that fact. So the only place where Pasa can find a little bit of happiness is that Madrid's defense hasn't been that awesome so far. They still haven't found their best back for yet. So if Basa could do anything, Memphis Departed and An Safarii can combine better. So that's the only area where Bassa can in fit some sort of paper otherwise. I think if Kuman is smart, his advice to Bassa will be just play the ball quickly because Madrid are an aging team. They're experienced. But if you keep passing the ball quickly, there will be gaps opening up in the defense as well as in the midfield, which can give openings to Dapai or on suicidea. I think if they focus on that, there might be chances. Barcelona will have chances, no doubt. Will they take them? That's it. If you don't have Lionel Messi at the end of the ball, which is a 100% goal against Madrid. So it's going to be very interesting. I'm so excited for this. So that's the L Classico guys. In fact, as I said, it's happening on Sunday night or the most historical games ever in the history of European football. It's between two regions. It's between the Catalonia region and the Murder region. So don't miss this one. It's also Bala Versacean. Yeah. That's another important factor. It's between the teams that we support. Now, if you're going to start watching this game, at some point, you might have to shift to other screen or other channel where So this will be a very tight game. I'm totally looking forward to this Ishan what do you think? Will that victory against Atlanta made any difference? Not really. Also one Disclaimer. We've always built up the Liverpool United game over the last couple of years, and it's been such a boring game, I don't think it's going to be anything but that. Thank you very much for bringing that up. Yeah, because it's been boring. But I would say this is one team. Liverpool is one team. Ole might not be able to escape out of the front street triumphant of Salafamino and Mane. And if not, Fermino Jota, I think, would prove a bit too intubating, too strong for a man United without a Raphael Varane. Maguire been out of his depth in the last couple of games, but I think the difference maker will be the midfield who will only lay a line up. Will he start with Pogba or will he go defensive with McTominay and Fred? If he starts McDonnell and Fred, I think United can be boring and get a drop. But if he starts with Pogba, you're looking at spaces opening up for Liverpool, and then it can get a little scary. So I hope for the sake of us as fans. Ole takes a risk and goes with Pogba, but knowing only he'll go with Fred and McDonald. Score prediction. Four mil Liverpool. That's very pessimistic. Now I'm going for a boring one. One draw or a nil nil draw. It's going to be very kg. another historic clash, another big match between Manchester United versus Liverpool. Now this, again, not just a clash of two football clubs. This is actually a clash of two cities. Also like Barcelona and Madrid. Manchester and the city of Loopers also have had a historical rivalry. So this game has tons of history. But to look at the current form right now, one can easily say that Liverpool are walking into this game as favorites. But once again, United, what we have seen under Ole is somehow find something in these big games. They're able to get that spirit.

Participant #1:
By the way, Salah has scored in nine consecutive matches for Liverpool and he is the first ever Liverpool player in their history to do that. Wow. Just before we move on, if you had to pick a Liverpool team with either Salah Suarez, Fernando Torres or Michael Owen, who would you play? One centreforward is there. Please speak of their ability. It's a very tough pick between Salah and Suarez. It's very tough between Salah and Suarez. It has to be one of those two for sure. Oh, not Michael Owen, not Michael, no. But at this peak, Suarez is absolutely. I've seen those goals, man. Cool. So I think we have two big games left and both the games. I think one of the bigger games is called the Old Lady Classic. What's it called? No, it's Derby the Italia. Derby the Italia between the two most successful Italian clubs, the Narrazuris and the Biancais, which is Juventus versus Inter Milan. What do you think? Based on form, I would say you may have the edge. What do you think? Yes. And you may have been doing UA things for the last three, four weeks. In fact, allegory was under massive criticism, massive attack from the general media and people like us. But yeah, the credit to UAE. They have won the last four games, one nil. If I'm not wrong, even the last game they won one nil. So that is UA at their peak. And they won the midweek Champions League game. But last week I think they lost two Lazio. So it's advantageous, definitely. And I'm going for another one. I agree with you. I'm going for a one mil Ye win and I'm going to go out on a limb and say Kiesa will score the winning goal. So let's see how that goes quickly. Two more games we have, which are not that big, but for both football fans like us, they are pretty interesting. Roma versus Napoli. Quick prediction. So Roma just suffered. In fact, I have to say Maurino just suffered his worst defeat ever in his career. Yesterday night against Bourgland. Six one they lost. Morino has never considered six goals ever in his career and apparently he gave a Rawling in King to the entire dressing room. He came out and as usual, through the players under the bus. But the fact is he's angry and this is one of the perfect games for Mourinho to express it on the field. But Napoli has been nothing but clinical so far. In fact, they also won their Europa League game midweek and they have won all eight on it. So I'm going for a draw. I'm going for a very tight draw. You built it up like an Undertaker versus the Rock and then you went for bloody parties akadar match result. See? Boring. You just considered six goals, man. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts eight different. The last game is PSG versus Marte. I wouldn't call it a traditional giant versus giant because there's only one giant and the rest is really put in France. But it's historically very bitter match. A lot of controversies in these games. If you remember last year there was a name or spat like flesh being thrown on the field, a lot of red carpet. So it's going to be an exciting game in that regard. But do you see anything but a PSG wind? Definitely. I am seeing a PSG win, but this match I am predicting that will get abandoned and will be known for all off field reasons than the onfield reasons. Just to give you guys a heads up, there has been at least seven or eight fan clashes in the last three four months. In France alone, many games were postponed, abandoned, delayed for a lot of fan trouble. And Marseille is nothing new for creating a lot of fan trouble. Marseille, as Just Ishan spoke about, they have a very dirty relationship. They are extremely bitter off each other to a level where when PSG lost the Champions League finals, Marseille fans took it to the streets to celebrate. So my prediction is this game is not going to get completed. I feel everyone will get red carded but only Messy will remain in the Stadium with a standing ovation and then some Marseille guy will come and take a selfie with him.

So all these games are on Sunday night like Sunday evening with the Joby plan. If you're even a borderline of a sports fan, just cancel everything. And this is the time where you have to use all those multi screen subscriptions. So open a laptop, open a tab, open a phone, put it on TV, try to watch two or three games side by side. All our Indian trader friends who have five phones for different trading options, right? They're going to be the winners here. Their bets have come true. This is when they need them the most. Now we are not just done with the great games of the weekend. In fact we were just talking only about the football games. The big one is the cricketing rivalry. The biggest cricketing rivalry. Ok, Australians and the English fans might argue with that. Thank you. But for Indian fans like me who grew up watching 90s Indian cricket, there is nothing bigger than an India versus Pakistan. Well not exactly a charger but slightly away from Charda. It's in Dubai. So Isshan, based on what we are seeing in IPL and Pakistan, okay, they aren't a great team as they used to be, but they are still a very good team. They still have a right mixture of experience and youth what do you expect? What are you looking forward to? Man for man. As you rightly said, India far superior, but it's like a classic man. India versus Pakistan. You never can predict Pakistan have for me, one of the finest batsmen of our time. Barbarazam probably pitch perfect when it comes to watching him bat. He can make a big difference. But I just feel India just too strong. They played too many games. They played a lot of games, so they match fit. If you look at Pakistan, they've barely played in the last so they have not seen the experience international that often in the recent last couple of months. So I think that might play a role. Plus, the IPL just happened. India far more familiar with the pitches, the atmosphere, the vibe. So I would say all points towards an India victory, but I think it's going to be a great game nonetheless. What do you think? Yeah, it's going to be a super game. I don't think it's going to be a high scoring game, but it'll be really tight. As you said, there are some really interesting matchups. Barbara versus Boomera. There is Shahina, Freddy, there is Koli, there's Raul. So that's another one to watch out for, guys. This is again on Sunday Night 07:30 p.m.. So I can assume 99 out of 100 will be watching this and some of the very ardent United and Liverpool fans will have the other game on the other tab. Now that's about it for the major weekend Bazooka games in cricket and football. In the next section, we will quickly run through the other updates in our Speed Point section. In Speedpoint, we are going to start with a quick one line use the one that was expected, one that we have been waiting for a long time, which is Steve Bruce has finally been, well, according to what they have said, have mutually parted ways. Well, that's kind of the modern way of saying fire. So whatever it is, he got his 8 million paid out. But yeah, he was a decent coach. He wasn't a great coach, but he was subject to a lot of abuse by Newcastle fans. They haven't found a replacement yet. Apparently, Paolo Fonseca is the leading candidate, but we don't know that yet. Now Isha the biggest F one race or probably one of the biggest F one. Most expected one is the US Grand Prix. With what we have right now, when it comes to Championship table so close, how crucial is this race and what we can expect? I think as we reach the ending of the last few handful of races left, every race is pivotal and it's just not the podium finishes. Each and every constructor finishes in the top ten. You get points. So it's a battle for 1st. 2nd, obviously, but it's also a battle for third and fourth because those four places in the constructors get the most amount of money in terms of funding to build their engines and cars for next year. So it's a very important phase right now. But coming to the Championship, the Uscompio has generally been a Mercedes winning. They have historically been very good there. But what stepping and break the odds because I truly feel that it's his season this year. Hamilton will try his utmost, but I feel that the time is now to move hands the baton over to the next era of Champions and that should be what happened. But let's see, it's a very fast race then. Not too many offense, Americans. There's not too many sharp turns, not very sharp.

Participant #1:
The zones in the back. It's going to be very fast and that's on the street. Mercedes is a better car. So let's hope it rains because in the rain we all know Mercedes is not the better car. Now I say I was just reading about this circuit earlier because it used to happen in Indianapolis. I think F One had a big issue with Bernie Austin specifically, like he didn't want to raise in Indianapolis. So F One in us wasn't happening for at least five, six years or something. I don't remember exactly. And then I think they got back to this new circuit at Austin, Texas. It's apparently a NASCAR circuit. So you can understand what you are saying. Like there are not many shaft turns NASCAR doesn't like to Indianapolis. The thing was the big issue in Indianapolis is basically a circle on an Oval and it was also a NASCAR track. So it was just completely against the models of what our F One ratio should be. Austin has a bit more like curves to it. It's a little curvacious and hence it's more of an appealing track for the viewers as well as the F One authorities. Great guys. So that is again on Sunday evening or Sunday night so you can watch that also on Hot Star. Now to cover all this, to finish off this episode, we'll just give you a quick update on how our Indian backminton stars performed in the Denmark Open, 2021 Denmark Open. Actually, it's not great news. Pretty much all our Batman players are out. The last one who's currently playing is Samir Varma is playing his quarterfinals game. Rest every other Indian players have lost syndrome. I think today only she lost her quarterfinals game. Doubles mixer, doubles, men's doubles, women's doubles everywhere. There are no Indian players playing. But this is pretty much all the pinnacles of Batman Championship. So if you guys are Batman fans, want to watch this, you can catch this again on Hot Star. That's about it for episode 41, guys. So you make sure you go and check out all those weekend matches we were talking about. In fact, T 20 World Cup is starting tomorrow. India, Pakistan is on Sunday, but T 20 is starting tomorrow. So what we will do is we will watch all of them come back on Monday and talk about it like we do every week. So until then it's buy from Bala. Shit, I've never seen Bala so excited but meaning now that's got me pumped as well. So have a good weekend guys. We'll see you on Monday. Hopefully with results that make me happy and Bala said all right. Thank you everyone for listening.
