In this week's podcast, Tom Catt and Toni Homeperm review Season 3 Episode 1 of Maude, entitled, "Maude Meets The Duke", which originally aired September 9th, 1974. In this episode, we find out that Arthur has been sending fan letters to John Wayne for years. When John Wayne visits the town to promote his new film, for publicity he has a scheduled stop at Arthur's home. But the ceiling caves in, and the event is held instead at Maude's place, much to her consternation due to the fact that John Wayne was a staunch conservative!
