DEI: The Boogeyman to Keep White Supremacy Supreme

President Trump, asserting without evidence that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies were a factor in the deadly midair collision between an American Airlines plane and an Army Blackhawk helicopter, is a reminder of a centuries-old tactic. When those who believe in their superiority begin to see it wane, they manufacture a boogeyman.

Peter, a disciple of Jesus, was a devout Jew whose faith initially taught him that Gentiles were inferior, and that God was only for the Jews. To him and many others, Gentiles were the boogeyman that threatened Jewish supremacy.

However, God had other plans. Speaking through visions and dreams to both Peter and Cornelius, a devout Gentile who believed in God, He transformed Peter’s mindset.

With his heart changed, Peter did the unprecedented—he worshiped with Cornelius and baptized his household. In Acts 10:34-35, he declared:

“I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation, anyone who fears Him, and practices righteousness is acceptable to Him.”

Let us not fall for the boogeyman of supremacy. God has set the standard—we are all equal, and He shows no favoritism. As children of God, neither should we.  Our message to President Trump, is this: With God there is no boogeyman.
