Keeping Your Eyes On The Prize

"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Life is full of distractions—worries about money, success, and the future can cloud our vision. But in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gives us a clear directive: seek first God’s kingdom. Instead of chasing temporary treasures, He calls us to focus on what truly matters—living for Him, walking in righteousness, and trusting His provision.

When we fix our eyes on Jesus and His purposes, everything else falls into place. Worry fades when we trust in God’s care. Our hearts find peace when we live for His glory rather than the world's approval.

So, the question is what are you seeking first today? Are your eyes on the prize of God’s kingdom, or are they distracted by the temporary?  My prayer is that we all fix our eyes on the prize seeking first the kingdom of God.
