Welcome to the business owner breakthrough providing you with a quick tips and tools that are designed to help you turn your frustrations into freedoms. After all, you own your business, and it shouldn't be owning you. Okay, here's the question of the week, how simple is it for people to find you, when people Google you, does your name pop up, when you type in your name, you want to have images there, you want to have video there, you want to have audio there, you want to have any of your blogs, or any of the things you articles that you've written, should be showing up there. And if they aren't, then you've got some work to do. And that's okay. Because, you know, this was one of the things that I set out to do. About two years ago, when I said, you know, I'm going to start my own podcast that you're listening to here today. And one of the things I wanted to do was to become more visible. So now I've got, you know, 70, or 80 of my own podcasts out there. And I've also been a guest on another 150 or so during that time. And you can see videos, and you can see audio, I've written over 100 articles now in that period of time. So people that like to read, can get hold of the content there. So what are you doing to create content that is easily found and easily visible, so that it pulls back to you and your business to create your personal brand? And it all starts with? Well, I use what I call a heart model, which is one of the things that I help my clients develop. And really it rolls around what's at the very center, what are you helping clients do? How are you helping them do it? And through what processes and programs are you helping them do it so that they can live a better life. I mean, whether we're talking social networks here, or whether we're talking YouTube, or LinkedIn, or any of these different things, it's just vitally important that you have that consistency out there. In talking around your five P's, your promise your process, your people, your product. And, you know, getting into all of those with full alignment allows you the right amount of profit. And from that perspective, when you have the right amount of profit, then you can start looking at marketing and sending in ad dollars and all of the other things to help create your brand even more if you want to down the road as well, too. And this all started, I was starting to think about personal branding here today. You know how important it is that when people search you, you're found. And when they find you what's next, like what are they seeing? Is it in alignment with those five P's? Is it in alignment with your brand more so than just, you know, my corporate colors for simplifying entrepreneurship are blue and gold. You know, the fonts that we use are similar and all this different stuff. It's important pieces, but it's further down the road as to your strategies and systems that are going to allow people to find you in a very quick, easy way. Because when they do that you only have a split second, it's like walking by used to be in the tradeshow industry. It's like walking by a tradeshow booth. And when they walked by, if you can't pull them in, in a matter of two seconds, they're on to the next booth down the aisle. And this conversation really stemmed from Hussain Talib, who runs the successful grid podcast. I was a pleasure to be a guest on his podcast in July of 2022, as I'm recording this, but he reached out to me and he said, Pete, I'm doing some things around creating personal brand. And do you have a couple of key points. And I started thinking about I said, this is something that we need to share on this podcast as well. So here are a few things that I want you to do. As soon as you quit listening to this podcast today, go into your incognito, Google, and then start typing in your name, type in your business name, type in all of the other things. So when I do this, and I do it on a regular rhythm about once a quarter I'll type in Pete more mo HR, and then see what comes up I'll type in shoe topia, because shoe topia footwear is our shoe stores that we own. I'll type in simplifying entrepreneurship. And then I do do some other searches around the some of the core products and some of the core offerings that we have, and different things like that, too, just to make sure that they're popping up the way I want to. And this gives you the starting point to better understand what you need to do to build your brand so that people can find you in an easy way, is so so important. And it all starts with the clarity of what that strategy is that you're trying to do and the promise that you're trying to put out there to take your clients and your prospective clients from their problem to their better life. That's what it's all about. If you'd like some help doing this, just slide on over to speak to Pete It's one of the things that I certainly do in my coaching practice every day with my clients is to Get clarity around this sort of stuff and then saying, Hey, how can we communicate this better? Whether it's on your website, whether it's on your YouTube channel on your Instagram page or LinkedIn page, how can you communicate your promise, so that you can get your personal brand out there to even more people and enjoy an even better business. Because as we know, your business is there to prop you up and you shouldn't be there always propping your business up. So vital, so important, but we need all of those great customers coming in the door to help us do that. So head on over to Google incognito, because you don't want all of your history, they're promoting all of the stuff that you're looking at already. So that's the beauty of going to the incognito tab is that all of that is gone. Type in your name, type in your business name, type in a few of your other key things that you use, find out where you're standing, and you'll start the journey to have an even better future and it does take some time to build in those gaps and to build in some of those areas that you know you're not in. But that's okay. That's the starting point. So that a year from now, two years from now, there'll be filled in people will find you even better and even easier, and make it more simple.
