Graventown
A kindness, positivity, mental health and music-magic-based informal conversational town hall created, authored, and produced by award winning Canadian singer songwriter and ex-journalist Matty McKechnie (known musically as Graven). Whether he has acclaimed or interesting pals, comedians, musicians or artists to interview - or even if it's just a solo-yolo convo that he "sends into the universe", Matty would always want you to know that you - whoever and wherever you are - are ALWAYS welcome in Graventown.

Graventowners and Getdowners; welcome back. As I continue to pump these episodes out into the ethersphere, I'm so stunned and thankful to meet and connect with some pretty lovely and special folks in this space. Matt Beisner is no exception to that rule. I actually became friends with him on IG before I knew what he was all about and I appreciated his positive outlook and love for dogs - but Matt Beisner (founder of his company THE ZEN DOG) is actually a world renowned certified professional dog trainer and the star of "Dog: Impossible" (a series on Disney+) and was a guest speaker on Netflix's "Inside the Mind of a Dog". Based in Austin TX, Matt specializes in common, confusing, reactive and aggressive behaviors in dogs, and Matt’s humane approach is guided by evidence-based positive reinforcement, to help humans get their dog's needs met and improve their quality of life as a whole. We had a pretty beautiful and all-encompassing chat and I hope it finds you well. Thank you for being you and for keeping your dial on Graventown FM. Y'are loved.
My new album "Geographics" is releasing (on my Bandcamp page only) through late January into late February 2026, and every Monday and Friday of those months, I'll have a new song up for you to digest into your ear canals. You can preorder the digital, cd and vinyl versions of the album, (which helps me greatly) but I understand that cash is tight all over the map, so you can also order a five dollar Geographics sticker. 5 beans! This album is really special to me (as my friends Melissa Payne and Charles Austin played all over it) and I hope you'll come along for the supersonic ride. Follow me @gravencanada on all the socials, and check my website to see when I'm playing live in a town near you. Join Graventown today to support yours truly for only 8 clams a month.
