Graventown
A kindness, positivity, mental health and music-magic-based informal conversational town hall created, authored, and produced by award winning Canadian singer songwriter and ex-journalist Matty McKechnie (known musically as Graven). Whether he has acclaimed or interesting pals, comedians, musicians or artists to interview - or even if it's just a solo-yolo convo that he "sends into the universe", Matty would always want you to know that you - whoever and wherever you are - are ALWAYS welcome in Graventown.

Episode 97: Interview w/ Dylan Black
Friends, Countryfolk and city dwellers; lend me your digital devices. Welcome back to another regularly scheduled closed circuit television program called Graventown. I was lucky enough to get a few minutes with an insanely busy Ottawa celebrity, radio and tv broadcaster, comedy advocate, philanthropic community connector and all around lovely dude and dad - Dylan Black. Dylan is someone whose interview path I happily crossed many times on Rogers Daytime TV when promoting a local Ottawa show or an album release. We had a great convo about the changing landscape of journalism and print media, online landmines, music, comedy and all things fatherhood. I hope you enjoy it and I hope you know that you are perpetually welcome in Graventown.
Catch me in a town near you in 2025 alongside Melissa Payne, Stephen Stanley (Lowest of the Low) and many other rad artists by visiting my website to see where I'm playing. If people can hate for no reason, I can love for no reason - and I love you. Thanks for stopping by Graventown. Yer always welcome here. As a full time independent artist, you can support me by buying the Always Everthing vinyl or brand new "block heater" toque here or by joining my SUPER RAD subscription service at https://ko-fi.com/gravencanada - and remember - you're always welcome in Graventown.
