Joan Comrie is a SLP who has worked closely with IBCLC's to support tongue tie families. In a world where IBCLC's and SLP don't always see eye to eye on how to work with families struggling with infant feeding, Joan was able to work on a "dream team" with an IBCLC in a NICU for many years. While SLPs are more focused on suck and swallow mechanics, and IBCLCs are more focused on supporting the dyad, they both can educate and support each other as professionals to help families with complex feeding issues.
