We "wood" love to talk about forests and trees forever, but to wrap up the season, we're bringing you three bonus episodes of the Sustainable Carolina Podcast.
The episodes are re-releases of our webinar series. This first episode comes from ourWelcome Back Webinar, which aired in fall 2025. It features Chief Sustainability Officer Mike Piehler, Sustainability Analyst Melanie Elliott, and UNC Transportation and Parking.
In it, we discuss the history of Sustainable Carolina, our current initiatives, athletics sustainability, and safe and efficient campus transportation.
Sustainable Carolina works within the UNC Institute for the Environment to increase the University energy and water efficiency and decrease waste sent to the landfill. We work with student, staff and faculty to connect University research with these operational efforts.
