As a former family physician, Dr. Michelle May saw that many of her patients, like her, struggled with their relationship with food.
In her own words, her unhealthy relationship with food was her “dirty secret.”
Dr. May is the founder of Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Programs and Training (www.AmIHungry.com), and author of the Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat book series that teaches mindful eating to help individuals resolve mindless and emotional eating and senseless yo-yo dieting to live the vibrant life they crave.
As she states in today’s podcast, she teaches how to become your own expert.
She has trained nearly 800 health and wellness professionals to offer mindful eating programs. She is an Associate Professor at Arizona State University and taught a masterclass on mindful eating for the Calm App.
She is also a Certified Professional Speaker (CSP), have been on dozens of podcasts, and have been interviewed for CNN Health, Fitness, Glamour, Health, Parents, Prevention, Self, TIME, USA Weekend, US News & World Report, Washington Post, WebMD, WomensHealthMag, Woman’s Day, and more.
