Well, hi there.

My name is Spiwe Jefferson and welcome to the first ever Mindful in 5 podcast invitation for the week. As we kick off these nuggets, I wanted to share with you the thinking and intention behind them. I originally launched the Mindful in 5 book series in response to a lot of busy professionals I encountered who were looking for more peace and joy in their busy lives.

Mindfulness Meditation can set you on that path of peace. But when you are busy juggling home, and family and all the things in between, it's daunting to think of having to learn one more thing.

Not only that, but sometimes people think of mindfulness meditation as this separate thing I have to do and learn. And I'm already taxed to the max with all the other stuff I'm already worried about., and concerned that I'm not even doing that well.

Enter the Mindful in 5 invitation for the week. It is just one short thought and one quick invitation for you to do just one mindful thing.

Each week, what you will find is that you are already being mindful, but you may not fully appreciate what that looks like. The invitations train a spotlight on these activities, accompanied by a short reflection over time, my hope is that you not only start to recognize your own mindful behavior, but you are more intentional in incorporating these behaviors into your regular day.

This can lead to a decrease in your stress, your joy will increase you will feel more cheerful and clear. You will be softer both on yourself and others. And that in turn will make you feel more supported from within and perhaps from your colleagues and the people around you. To support this endeavor.

Please join me on the Mindful in 5 podcast LinkedIn group and share your thoughts and experiences. Let's take this journey and operate on our peaceful path together. Look for the first topic in the coming weeks and thereafter. You will receive an invitation for the week, every other episode. Until next time, this is Spiwe saying Be mindful and be well.
