So we just want to thank God. We're going to start at Colossians, the second chapter of Colossian. And tonight we're going to talk a little bit on false teaching. This is something that each and every one of us really, you really need to get to know false teaching when you're here. Because there's so much is going on out there now. So God wants us to be able to witness to somebody telling the truth. And Paul, now we're going to read here how Paul, how easy it is to turn away from the teaching, even though you have maybe been taught the word of God. But if you get in a if you're not reading your Bible and get in a low state, it sounds good to the flesh. The enemy always know how to feed your flesh. He knows what you like. So he gives you what you like. He had somebody talk to you and give you what you like. So it's very important. So we look at, we're going to start at the fourth verse. False teaching. Everybody got it. That's why Paul had to deal with it. He didn't just teach about the word, about the cross, but he had to let them know the difference in the cross, the true teaching and false teaching. Because if you don't, you got the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost will let you know that something's not right. That's why it's very important that we stay close to God, so we can hear God when God speaks. So we'll know when He's talking. He said, My sheep know my voice. Strain voice they will not follow. So his sheep know his voice. So when we read, when somebody comes and telling you all this and that, we can't go by, I don't care, we can't go by what things look like. Okay, go ahead, Tyree.

Colossians 2 and 4. And this I say points directly to false teachers, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words, refers to being deceived by subtle reasoning.

Now see that. And this Paul is telling them, and this I say, he pointed directly to the false teacher. He didn't cover it up at all. This I say, he pointed directly to the false teacher, lest any man should begu you, should fool you, lie to you with enticing words. See, when the enemy comes, uh false teaching, it comes with things that your flesh loves. It ain't gonna come with something that your flesh don't love. But it will come with something that your flesh loves, and the devil tell you, or the person will tell you, the enemy using that person, and it will tell you, ain't nothing's wrong with that. Your flesh didn't want to do it no way. Get up in the morning and pray. Your flesh, your flesh doesn't want to, I don't have to meditate upon God's word. Your flesh don't want to do it sometime, no way. Our flesh, a lot of times, want to go the other way. But what happened when we see the word said, meditate on the word day and night. It'd be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bring forth the fruit this season. Your flesh don't like it a lot of times. We too busy. We are too busy, too busy for God. So we get up, we'll read a verse or something like that, and we'll feel good with that within ourselves, saying, I did God a favor. I read, Lord, didn't you see I read that verse? Did you see I read it? But he said, Meditate. Why meditate? Meditate upon it so that it can get in your heart and your spirit, so that you can be a doer of it, not just a hearer of it. So when you meditate upon God's word, you begin to think that God begins to speak to you through the word. But somebody comes along and tell you, Oh, just read the script. You didn't you read it? Yeah, I read it, but you still ain't really got the true meaning of it. You see what I'm saying? You when you start meditating on it, you find that God Holy Spirit begins to speak to you and lead you and guide you. So he said, This I said, point directly to the false teacher, lest any man, I don't care if your mom, your dad, your sister, your brother, or your uh cousins or your friend or your boss on your job, I don't care where it comes from. If it's not lined up with the word of God, it's false teaching. See, we we we we we get caught up with people. We can't get caught up with people. Our soul is at stake, y'all. We're gonna leave here one day, y'all. Who we gonna please, man? Or please God? We gotta make up our mind who I'm gonna please. We gotta leave here. We we close our eyes. The death's angel comes. You did? Your spirit and soul goes one place or the other right then, not tomorrow. It either gonna be with Jesus to be asked from the body to be present with the Lord. It's either gonna be with Jesus or it's going in torment with the devil. And the devil knows that. That's why he used things to pull you away from what God works said. When God tells us something, it always something most of the time comes against our flesh. My flesh, your flesh. It always something that we really don't want to do. We want the easy way out. Well, I don't have to do all that, it don't take all that. We don't want to fast sometime. Well, the pastor said now we don't have to fast. You still fast, the Bible said fast, but you can't fast just to get that sense. You got to get used to words for that. You fast so you can hear God's talking to you. Then you get into the word, the word delivers you. Sanctify them through the truth. You fast and pray. You never stop fasting. The Bible tells us to fast. So the devil tells you you don't have to do all that. That makes it feel good to your flesh that you want to eat. Ooh, the food looks good, smell better than ever when you're fasting. But yet we got to give up something because we can't hear God. We're too fat. We got too much in us, we too much going on in our minds. So when we fast and pray, fast and pray, what did Jesus do? Jesus went always, got away from the disciple, went up in the mountains. That's why the disciple asked him, Lord, teach us. Teach us how to pray. They want they saw the anointing. They saw what all how Jesus was what was happening when he prayed. They knew there was something different. When he prayed, I mean, not just praying, just saying a lot of words, but I mean coming from your innermost inner being. That's what I'm talking about. Not just praying, let somebody say, How good, how many words I can say, how good I can speak this, how good I can speak. That don't mean nothing to God. Because God is not looking at that. He's looking at our motive. He's looking at why we're saying what we're doing, what we're saying, what we're saying. He looked at if it's coming from the heart or it's coming from the flesh, God. I want everybody to know I can pray real good, I can sing real good, I can do this real good. If God don't look, he knows the most inner being of ourselves. He knows what the motive when we stand before him. He said, That was the motive, that was not of me. I don't know you. So that's why everything we do, we got to do it as unto the Lord. You do something for somebody, do it as unto the Lord. So when something happens and he acts cold towards you or do something to you, you dare to ask unto the Lord. You didn't do it for them to pat you on the back. You're doing a good job. You don't need nobody to pat you on the back. You do what the word of God said. You're gonna get your reward later on, y'all. Jesus is gonna pay you later on. So it's very important that we understand. And Paul is saying here, I said, point directly the false teacher, lest any man he leave at nobody. Lest any man entice you. How do they entice you? Make it sound so rich and good. It sounds good to your flesh. But when you look into the word of God, you know that's no, that's not God. This is what the word says. So that's what he's saying here. Unless you be a God which will enticing word refers to being deceived. People now are being deceived, they are deceived, and they are being deceived. God is not healing today. You know God's not healing today. You see that person down the street, they died. That's the enemy talking. Jesus said, I was wounded. He was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquity, chastised and our peace was upon it with his strength. We are here. One said we were here. So when they come telling you false doctrine, no, you don't need no Holy Ghost today. That was back during the disciples' time. You got to understand where this stuff is coming from. If you don't read your Bible, you go along with it. Yeah, you're right. Yeah, I know. I'm tired anyway. I really didn't feel like getting up there early in the morning praying nowhere. We begin to talk back to the enemy. Not realize that when we're not praying and spending time in God's presence, we're not gonna get to know Jesus. We pray because we fast and we pray because we want intimacy with him. We want a fellowship with him, we want our relationship to build up in him. It takes to build up a relationship, it takes talking, it takes meditating, it takes all this to get into this word so we can get to know him. Then we talk to him, he talked to us, and what happened? We get to know him. Then when the test comes, we are able to go through it. He knows you can't go through your test if you don't know him, because you're gonna date God. You're not gonna believe that he's gonna deliver you. But when you get to know him for who he is through the word of God, when that test comes, you will be able to go through. Why? Because you know God cannot lie. The devil lied, but God can't lie. So when that test comes, I don't care what it looked like, I don't care what it what it looks like. You might look like it's on the doctor report on the x-rays, but Lord, this is what your word says about my situation. See, we got to speak the word, but false doctors tell you it's not for today. You hear a lot of people teach it, that's not for today. The word is for today. He's the same today, yesterday, and forever. The same God. He can't lie. So we got to Paul had to be teaching us, and Paul was teaching us to the uh to the Colossians and all this, because he can see that some of them were sliding back, some of them were backing up from the word. That's why Paul had to really stick to the teaching. And the same thing goes on today. Some people just go to the building, they dress up, go to the building, and and come out. They still don't know nothing. They get hyped, a hype message. Everybody come to the altar, everybody come to the altar. Come on, come on, come on, give$100,$100. You ain't got you already blessed. You are already blessed. God bless you. He already given you everything, he said, I had given you everything you need. When he died on the cross, he said, I it's already yours. But you gotta tap in it by faith. He told you how to get it. The just shall live by his faith. Tap into how do I get it? It's mine. But how do I get it? Just like your money in the bank, it's yours. But you gotta go down to withdraw, you can't just go there and say, That's my money, give it to me. You see, we gotta go through the process. So the same says with our spiritual life, it's yours. Jesus already told you it's yours. So why listen to the enemy telling you, yeah, but get the bite, it's mine. He told me when he died on the cross, that's why he went to the cross to give us everything we need pertaining to life and godliness. He said, I have already given you everything you need pertaining to life and godliness. Where is it? Through the knowledge of him. But the enemy will come along and tell you something different. Yeah, well, it might work, it might. Then that's why you start keep picking up dice and unbelief. Only thing the enemy is doing is throwing unbelief and dice in your mind. Now you don't believe nothing. You you say, Oh no. Then that the enemy got you. Because why? Because it calls for faith. For you to get the things we ever think for God is faith. We walk by faith, we live by faith. Everything we need is by faith. That's the only way, it's not by money. I don't care how much money you got, you can't get it with money. It's faith. So Paul's going over there, he goes on to the next verse. Paul says, You're being deceived. People nowadays are being deceived. You can tell people, they said, No, this ain't works, is they're doing a lot of works. Well, I visited sick, you know, I do this, I go to church every Sunday, I do this. That don't mean the devil goes to church too. He probably right now, seeing who he can get. See, you can't see him. He's working in the mind. You see what I'm saying? So it's very important. Not just go to the building, but hear what the Spirit of God is saying unto you. You are the church. The body of believers is the church. So, what do God require of me? First thing, my mind gotta be made over. I can't think like I used to think. I can't act like I used to act. I got to think on those things that be pure, true, lovely, honest, just good report, virtue. If there be any praise, I gotta think on those things. I can't go back and think about, well, this happened, that happened, uh, this way back there. I can't go back there. I was talking to somebody the other day, and they were telling me about things, and they're so much in bondage. They're telling me about things that they're going through right now. That happened way back when they was a little child. They gotta get away from it. They're not ready to let it go. He's running from it. You can't run from the problem, you run to Jesus. That's what Adam and Eve did. When this, when Adam and Eve realized that they had sinned, God told them not to eat up that tree. They ran from God and still running to God. When we are in trouble, we run to God. He is our deliverer. He comes to set the captive free. He said, I send my word. See, we got to get into this word, let this word get in us. So that's it's very important that we understand what God is saying to each and every one of us. Because we can very easily be deceived. If I don't know what the word is saying, I can very easily be deceived. You too. We all. But he said, speak to, we speak to the things in our lives. We got to speak to those things. He said, I give you power. Yeah, but I want this person. God said, Look, I give you power. You got authority. I give you power of all, not some, all the power of the enemy. I don't care which way he comes, I give you power. All the power of the enemy, and nothing, I don't care where it comes from, shall by no means hurt you. Why? Because you got the power. You got the authority. Well, you don't know you got it. That's just like a child. You give them a hundred dollar bill, they don't know they got it. Mama, I need this, I need that. You got the money. I put it, I gave you the money. Go get what you need with it. That's what God is saying to us. We got it. Our healing, our delivery. Just because you don't see it happen today, don't give up, don't take down. And say, Well, uh, well, I know he might be there for other people. I don't know if he's gonna do it for me. God wants every one of us free. He said, This is the problem. I come, I come to set the captain free. I don't care how big the bondage is. He said, I come to set you free. You might have life abundant, not drift, but abundant life. But we can't receive a lot of things from God because of this disbelief, unbelief. If thy kins believe, he said, all things, something, no, all things are possible. It's possible. You can get your whatever that need is, you talking to God about it's possible, you can get it, but it takes faith. Walk by faith and not by sight. We too busy look at that. Mm-hmm. I don't know. Well, it might. We talk too many negatives, it might happen. I don't know. I hope it happened. You don't have to hope it happened. You get in the word and see what God said. Lord, what are you saying about this situation? He began to talk to you. That's why Paul had to bring this thing down. So go ahead. Uh 5 verse.

Colossians 2 and 5. For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, refers to Paul's human spirit, joining and beholding your order and steadfastness in your faith in Christ. Speaks of holding rank and refers to maintaining one's faith in the Christmas.

That's why it is so important to get to understand all that Jesus accomplished on that cross. It is so important. I can't tell you how important it is. Don't take it lightly. Don't take it for granted. If you don't know, get into the word of God and see all that he accomplished. God became, from the time God became man, God said, prepare me a body. Why? So he can get in it. He became man. He was God and man. He walked around this earth. He went through things just like you and I go through, but he trusted, he always prayed. He always came out because he prayed. Trust the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit leads him and guide him. He didn't use his all his dignity and stuff when he was down here on the earth. If he did, you would have said, Well, he made to go through because he used his dignity. No, he went through the pains and stuff. Bible said, We're not serving a high priest who cannot be touched. We just feel nine firmness. He was just like we are in all points. He was tempted just like you and I tempted. He went through too. But he knew when the enemy came to him, he knew who he was. When we understand who God made us or who we are, we were united with him. When he went to the cross, we too went to the cross. When he was buried, we too were buried. We got to understand that same power that brought Jesus, that Holy Ghost power that brought Jesus back at that grave. That was the Holy Ghost with him all the time. Jennifer Holy Ghost in you. That power that brought him by the grave, that same resurrection power is in us. We have eternal life now. Well, I'll wait till I get on the other side. You have eternal life now. That same Holy Ghost power that brought Christ from the grave is in us. You got that same power, but we don't know how to use it. Just like having a gun, if you don't know how to use it, you ain't somebody coming and knocking the head. But if you know how to use the word, you gotta be skillful. God wants us to be skillful and use his word. And that's why Paul was trying to teach them that. For though I be asking Paul in jail, but though I be asking in the flesh, I'm not there with y'all in the flesh, but Paul was still writing letters to the churches while he was in jail. He didn't sit there and cry over because he understood who he was. When you understand who you are, you don't go to your test and oh God, why had to happen to poor little me? I don't understand. Everybody else looking doing good by me. You understand, Paul. You see, nowhere with Paul Grother in jail writing letters to the people that he had written, all the different churches he written letters to. Why did he do that? How could he do something like that if he didn't understand who he was? He would have been worrying, pulling his hair out. Well, I'm gonna get out of here. Same thing with Joseph. Joseph didn't worry. God was with him while he was in jail. We got to understand one thing. Jesus promised us, he said, I will never leave you. I'm with you always, even to the end of the world. Where is he? You got to understand, if I don't feel him, I know he's on the inside of me. The Holy Spirit is on the inside of me. See, that's what we got to understand. You ain't gonna feel him every day. It's a faith walk. None of us feel him every day. When we start to pray to worship him, we we feel him a lot of time. But sometimes we wake up in the morning, we don't feel, we don't feel his presence. It's all by faith that he's there. He's still on the inside. He ain't left last night. He didn't get out of you last night. When you laid down, went to sleep, he left. He's still there because he said, I'll never leave you. I won't forsake you. I won't leave you. But I'll be with you. We can stand on his problem. He can't lie. I'll be with you always, even to the end of the world. Until we leave here and we go on the other side, he's still with us. So we what we got to worry about. It's nothing that we're going through that he don't know about. We act like sometimes if we're not careful, he don't know what I'm going through. Either he allows it, he let it go through. Then you know he loves you because he died for you. So you know good way. He got your best interest at heart. He knows what's best for every one of us. He loves us enough to go to the cross. So you can't say, Well, he don't love me, so he let me this happen to me. He loves you in a relationship. Wife may walk out, husband may walk out, or sick to hit your body, or this happened, or that happened. Well, Jesus don't love me. Why let this happen to my mom? Why let this happen to my dad? Why this, why that? Jesus was on it, he knows what it needs to get every one of us to the place where we need so we can make it in. Some of us right now, if Jesus was not uh letting no tests come, we'd be gone. What our business. Doing what we want to do, when we want to do it. But God knows He loves us. When somebody loves you, I tell people all the time, somebody loves you to tell you the truth. When somebody tells you something and it's and you know good and well, they just tell you to pat you on the back. They ain't doing that trying to drill you in. Tell a person the truth. That truth is what's free people. But we it's people that tell people, okay, yeah, God's gonna work at that after a while, God's gonna do this. You better trust God yourself and stop worrying about after a while, whatever it is. God knows the right time to bring you out. You say, Lord, I thank you. I don't understand it all, but I know you got it all in control. You know everything going on within me. You know my thoughts are far off. You talk to God, you talk to him. Don't expect somebody else to talk to God for you all the time. You talk to God, he's your father. You talk to him and let him know how you feel. You can tell him how you feel. You can tell, you can talk to them about anything. Just like he told that man in the Bible, he said, uh the man said, he told that man but fear. He said, but help now have my unbelief. But help, Lord, I need you to help my unbelief. You see what I'm saying? He let the man let God know. I I I just can't graph it right now. But I need you to help my unbelief. I want to believe, but Like something blocking me. Why we don't receive a lot of times because we don't trust God. If we don't trust people, we got to trust somebody. You can trust God. He will never leave you, He will never forsake you. He is there. Always. He's chasing us at times, trying to get us to come back to the place where we need to be at. Sometimes we move away from Him and He allows something to happen. So the enemy, it's just like a child. A child sometimes runs away from the parents, walking real fast in the front of the parents. Their parents don't want that. Come back here. Child running, that's why a dog, you see a dog, hit a child, go run away, go right back to the parents. Right back to the parents. Why? That's right. Right back to the parent. And that's the same way we do. We walk over sometimes, we get in our own flesh and we do what we wanted to do. As soon as the test comes, whoo, Lord Jesus. Let me get back in. We right back in praying more than we ever prayed. Fasting and praying. Couldn't get you to do it before. Now all it wants you to fasten and praying. Nobody ain't got to tell you to come to church or pray. Why do they have to do that? He chases us, those that he loves. We are not bastards, we're sons. So he chased those he loves. So we got to understand that who we are. Main thing we got to understand about Jesus, what he did on the cross. Then we understand who we are. We are more than conquerors. Not just a conqueror, we are more. If he said we are more than conquerors, that means that that authority that he has given to every one of us, that we can walk in it by faith. We don't have to cry every time something happens. Oh, poor little me. The enemy wanted to feel sorry for ourselves and then turn away from God. That's why you know what I'm saying. Why God let this happen to me? I don't understand. It ain't happening to that person, and then live as good as I'm living. Yeah, you know how that person lives. You don't see that person's heart. We don't see nobody's heart. Only God see the heart of man. God looked at the heart. He had mercy on who he wants to have mercy on. We are the clay, he the potter. Put us back on that spinning wheel again. You ain't ready to come off that spinning wheel. Mold and make us shape us what he wants us to be. So it goes on. For though I be absent in the flesh, Paul saying, yet am I with you in the spirit. Referred to Paul's human spirit. Join and behold in your orders in the steadfastness of your faith. Paul said, I want your steadfastness. I want you to be steadfast in the faith, the things that I've taught you concerning Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I want you to be steadfast. Don't move from it. Don't let the enemy move you away from what God promised you on that cross. That's what Paul is saying here. Be steadfast of your faith in Christ. Speak of holding rank and refer to maintaining one faith in the cross. Hold fast to the profession of your faith without wavering. We said it all the time. Hold fast, I think it's in Hebrew. Hold fast to your profession of your faith, the faith that you profess without wavering. One day I believe it, next day I don't believe it. Either we believe or we don't believe. Which way are you going? Up or down. We got to believe God's word or we don't believe. So Paul is telling them that even though Paul was away from them, that's why I say you ain't got to be with that person all the time. Just like some of you, you talk to people on the phone or whatever it is. You can get that word in people. I talk to people on the phone, and people ain't gotten the Holy Ghost over the telephone. You can talk to people on the phone like Paul. Paul in jail, but he writes letters to the church. Well, I gotta be right there, I gotta be right there. No, you don't have to be there all the time. Now when God leads you to be there, yeah, you be there. But you don't have to be there all the time. But what I'm trying to say is Paul was not able to be there. He was in jail, y'all. When he was in jail, he writing letters to these different churches. He never gave up what God had called him to do. His that was his assignment. And you have to realize what whatever your assignment is. When you go to your test, stay, stick with your assignment, what God gave you. So he goes on. He said, For though I be after in the flesh, yet am I with you. I'm still with you. He he he made he builds that faith up. I'm still with you. You know, you may call somebody on the phone, you say, I'm still praying, I'm praying with you. I'm praying for you. You like, well, I gotta go through this next week. Okay, I'm I'm praying for you. You gotta believe it. He said they're praying for you, you gotta believe it. They're praying for you. They don't have to be in your house to pray for you. They can be praying for you crossing town somewhere, you over this side of town, you on that side of town, but yet they're praying for you in your spirit, your human spirit. So he's telling them, I'm praying for what he reads every time I'm joining, beholding your order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. But I want you to hold fast to your steadfastness of your faith. Don't you don't lose your faith, don't lose your confidence, what he said in God. Faith means my confidence, my trust. What Jesus said he did on the cross, we got to hold fast to it. I don't care how bad the pain racked our body, I don't care how bad the enemy tried to play with our minds, we gotta hold fast to what he's accomplished. When he said it is not gonna be, it is finished. Everything you needed. Now he sits on the right hand of the Father. He finished the job, no more sacrifice that remains no more. It's it. Either you receive this sacrifice or no more sacrifice. He's not coming back no more to the cross, go back to the cross again. We got to believe what he already have done on the cross. But we got to get into the word of God and find out what happened. Animal sacrifice couldn't do it. It took the blood of Jesus, he had to shed his blood. He had to no man couldn't take his life. He laid down his life, he gave his life. He could have called all the legions and whatever he wanted to do to stop the what he wanted to do, but he allowed to happen. Why? Because that was his assignment. He wanted to go to the cross so he could redeem us. He couldn't have redeemed us if he hadn't gone to the cross. We'd be still in our sins, we'd be still with the devil. He sat down there laughing. But when Jesus went to the cross and went down there, hmm, those people that died in faith looking to the cross, he delivered all of them, brought them all back up. Suppose he ain't going to the cross. The devil had every one of them. Same way the devil had us today. But because we believe in what Jesus did on the cross, our faith is rooted, be grounded and rooted in him. That's why the Bible said, Let the word drill in you richly. Let the word stay in you. Don't never let that word get away from you. Always remember what God promised you when he went to that cross. All right, uh, Tyree.

Colossians 2, 6. As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, refers to the manner of one salvation, which is Christ in Him crucified, so walk you in Him. Behavior is to be ordered in the sphere of Christ in the cross. See what it's saying?

As you have therefore received Christ Jesus, did you accept him? Yes. Well, if you have received him, he said, referred to the manner of one salvation. That's salvation. Jesus died on the cross for our salvation. One of the things he died for. So we accept him as our Lord and Savior. So he said, now since you have received him, walk in him. Live your life according to his word. You can't do it in your own strength. That's why he gave us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is on the inside of us to lead us, guide us, and direct us. The Holy Spirit lines up with the word of God. Not what we want, but when we walk according to the word of God, the Holy Spirit is there to lead us, guide us, show us a way. So he said, as you have therefore received Christ, we receive him when we accept him as our Lord and Savior. As him coming to our heart and be Lord of our life, that's how we receive him. Now, it's by faith. You got to believe that he came in. You got to believe in it that when you accept him, he came in. It said, refer to the manner of one salvation, which is Christ and Him crucified. You got to believe everything he did on the cross. Now, since you have received him, you believe that he's living in you now. So you understand that because Jesus lived on the inside of me now, I can't walk, I can't live like I used to live. I can't lie, steal, kill, whatever, whatever I was doing before. Pardon and doing whatever. Now I live by the face of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. I live by the word now. That's what he's saying. Walk in him. So walk in him, your behavior, how you act, is to be order in the phrase of Christ in the cross, according to his word, the New Testament. How did he act? So it's very important. Our behavior, behavior is how you act. It is to be order. We can't do what we want to do. Well, I know what I'm gonna do. You don't belong to yourself. How are you gonna say I know what I'm gonna do? You don't belong to yourself. How can you just do what you want to do when you want to do it? That's what I'm talking about. You want to do this? Is what I'm gonna do. I don't care, I don't care what nobody said. I'm gonna this is what I'm gonna do. Well, then you have already left the cross. You're not doing what God told you to do. You're not walking in him, you're walking in your flesh. So, what are you saying here? As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him. How did I receive him? I accept what he did on the cross. I believe it by faith, and I accept it. I asked him to come into my heart, be Lord of my life. I want you to rule my life. I no longer want to rule my own life. I want you to tell me what to do, what not to do. How does he tell us? Through the word, the Holy Spirit leading us and guiding us through the word. That's why he said, I'm leaving you, but I'm sending you the comforter. He's gonna be in you. God in us. You got to realize God is in us. Every time you go to do something wrong, realize you God is saying if you go for smoke a cigarette or whatever, cuss word or whatever comes out of your mouth, you gotta realize you're doing all this on top of God. God is, and people going to that fornicating and stuff like that. They're doing that, all that stuff, you're hooking your body up to uh uh a whore and stuff like that. God does that's that's that's God hasten because we belong to Him, our bodies belong to Him. We can't just go ahead and do what we want with our bodies when we feel like it, how we want to do it. So it's very important you your body belongs when you go for the allowing stuff to happen, somebody pulling all over you and smelling all over you and sniffing you and stuff, you know, all kinds of stuff going on, and you're single and stuff like that, and you committing fornication and and you're letting that person do all that to you. God said, mm-mm, your body belongs to me. Your body belongs to me. Why are you allowing this to happen? I told you to walk in the spirit. Your mind now gotta be made over. You gotta be renewed now. You got a new mind now. There's therefore now no condemnation to them who walk not after the flesh. You not no longer can be walking after the flesh, but walk after the spirit. My words are spirit in their life. We can't walk the way we used to walk. When you were in the world, you could go out there and you see these girls and boys all hugged up and laying up on each other. This is the thing that the false doctrine will teach you it's nothing wrong with it. Y'all gonna get married one day, so it's okay. That's false doctrine. God said what? No. God said marriage is honorable to bear under fire. But the false doctrine will tell you, well, y'all are gonna get married in a month. So, you know, everything will be all right. But you know within yourself, according to the word of God, marriage is honorable to bear under fire. So we know what homemoggers and stuff, the devil will tell you it's nothing wrong with it because you're gonna get married. But God says something wrong with it. Y'all see false doctrine? So now that your flesh wants that. Your flesh loves that. Your flesh always loves the things that please the flesh. The things that people tell you it's okay to do that. Your flesh loves that. Why? Because the flesh always had come against the word of God. So we have to do it God's way. God's word way is the suffering way. We gotta suffer as he suffered. Suffer with him. We want to range with him, we gotta suffer too. Thing that we're going through now, the Bible says not to be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us. Yes, we're going through a lot right now. Yes, we feel like we're giving up a lot right now. But really, you're not really giving up because you're receiving. It's just like putting your money in the bank. You're receiving the interest on the entry zone. You're not losing nothing. So when we do it God's way, we're not losing nothing. We're gaining. We're gaining eternal. One day we'll forever be with the Lord. You ain't seen nothing yet. You've seen a little bit you're getting down here. But when you see all, because I read Revelation, all that, and see all the stuff that you're gonna be getting there, you say, whoo, it's worth it. Yeah, it's worth it. So not to be compared to the glory. That's why the Bible says things that we're going through now, things that you have to give up and stuff now, is not to be compared to the glory that should be revealed in us. One day, I'm going with Jesus. I'll be caught up to meet him in there. So shall we ever be with the Lord. That's gonna be a great, great celebration day, knowing that you don't have to be in the devil's hell for eternity. I'm telling you, you'll be glad that you did what God said to do. It's worth it all. So that's what he said here. As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, he said, Walk in him. Walk me, live in him, live in his word. What is it? If we don't read his word, how are we gonna know how to live in his word? What is his word saying to us? You can't do it with your own flesh. I can't live this life in my own flesh, neither can you. We need help. We need God's help. He is our very present help. The Bible says, in time of trouble, he's our helper, he leads, he guides, he directs us. So that's what Paul was saying, as you have therefore received Christ. Let's look at uh 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1. Uh hold on to this and come back here. 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1. See, our flesh always called for saying disobedient and all this kind of stuff. That's what your flesh calls for. Is God did God really say that? He did the flesh, what the enemy does put dice in your mind. Just like David Adam and E. God don't want y'all to be wise like him. Pastor don't want y'all, she just wants y'all to do that because she wants y'all to do that. That's what the devil tells you. That's what Pastor wants y'all to do. Not realizing that God is using me to tell you what I'm telling you. You won't see that because the enemy won't let you see it. All I'm saying, you'll see is, uh huh. I'm not gonna do it. I don't care what she said. And that's the same, that's that same devil that talked to Adam and Eve. That same devil, he ain't changed. You know, he ain't changed. Bible says, go around, that's a ruin line, seeking who he may destroy. Do you think the enemy is gonna give up on you? Get a little weak and you find out. Stop reading this word, you find out if he's giving up on you. I'm telling you, it's hard to get back in once you get out there. It's not easy. You get back out there, and just like some people right now trying to get back in, they can't get back in. It's hard. You keep on saying, I don't know why they don't come. I don't know why they don't do the can't do their own strength. Until they repent and trust God. And people, sometimes you got to get people to praise through to get back where you need to be. When you walk away from God, I'm telling you, it's not that easy. Stay with God while you're with him. Don't walk away from him. Because it ain't that easy to get back in. When you begin to go down, it's not easy to build yourself back up the way you were. You let yourself go and go down here, and God was using you when you were down here, it's hard to get back up there. Hold on to what you got now and add more to it. Don't don't let that go. Do more for God. Okay, uh 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1 said, What uh tiny.

You see that? We beseech you, brethren, exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us, that's what Paul is saying, how you ought to walk. Paul taught them how they ought to walk and to please God. Paul taught them the way to walk to please God, not please flesh. Then he tells them, so you will abound, grow, bound more and more. Your growth will begin to go higher and higher and higher. Because now you're doing it God's way. Full of more, then we receive you. We beg you. Besie me, I beg you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, Paul said, that as you have received, what did we receive? We received salvation of us, how you are to walk. You receive the word of God, the word that Paul was teaching. Jesus Christ and Him crucified. You receive the word. Now, as you have received that word, all that Jesus done on the cross for you. Now walk in it. Live in it. That's what he's saying to us. So you were bound. Why? And you live in it, what Jesus had taught you. Walk in it. I mean, Paul was teaching him, walk in it, live in it, and guess what? You begin to grow from a little runt on up, up, up, up. After a while, you know it's saying that my God, you've grown so tall in God, if you could see it in the in this in the natural. You done got so spiritual. I mean, you know God's word. You could the anointing so great upon you, and you're not afraid of the enemy. You know when the enemy comes in like a flood, spirit of God on the inside of you will lift up a standard against the devil, let him know he get off it. That's what I'm talking about. That's what Paul said. You got to walk in it now. I'm taught you this word now. You gotta walk in it. You listen to all this word of being taught. Now you got to demonstrate it in your walk. You see what I'm saying? You demonstrate it in your walk. It's no use to keep on eating, eating, eating, and and and don't demonstrate the word. Yeah, I'm gonna do it after a while. Yeah, I'm gonna try. You don't try, God, you do it. You don't try. You do what God said do. That's what that's what's growing me. I continue to grow. I drop off something that's not of God, and I begin to move forward. Some things you gotta let go. Some things you gotta drop off. The Bible said there is a way that seems right to man, but the ends are all the ways of death. That seems like the devil got a way, ain't God got away. Which one, which path you won't travel on? You make up your mind. Jesus don't twist our own, make us do nothing. We choose. It is so important that He let us have that opportunity to choose. So we can't say, Well, He made me do it. The devil made me do it. Ain't nobody made you do it. You did it because that's what you want to do. Your flesh. Very important. We get we get a choice. We get we get to choose, y'all. Ain't that so? We get to choose life or death. Which way you want to go? See, and in that a lot of times the one-way sign say you gotta go that way. You can't go that way. But we get to choose this way, right? This dignity. Ain't that some? We can choose. I don't have one way, that's a one-way street. You can't make no left there, so we don't get no choice. We have to go the way they said, right. But this way we can choose left or right. That's what I'm talking about. God, we can't we stand before God. Will you made me do this? No, no, no. You had a choice. That's for me and my hearts. We're gonna save God. You had a choice. You had a choice to believe me or disbelieve me. But I didn't know. You had the word. You're like that, like Lazarus, the rich man, and Lazarus end up in hell. But nobody to call her. Can you go back? Can do Lazarus? Can he just reach out and just a little bit of water? Cool stuff. Can he go back and preach to my brothers back there? Let them hear the preachers. Let them hear the word back there. Somebody back there preaching the word, my word. Let them hear that. He wants to send people back to tell his brother, don't come out to this place. We got the word. We don't have to go there. We can tell somebody else you don't have to go there. You can be delivered. You gotta want to be delivered. You gotta want to be free. You gotta want to live for God. So, Paul, what Paul was teaching them, he was teaching them false doctrine. False doctrine please your flesh. False doctrine is religion, it makes you do what you want to do. You're doing a lot of works, but you're not pleasing God, you're not but putting your face in what Jesus did on the cross. Because why? He said, Except you deny, deny yourself, take up the cross. Follow me. Take up the cross. When he said take up the cross, he means all that I accomplished on the cross. In my word, follow me. If you continue in my word, you should know the truth, and you should be my disciple indeed. I can remember exactly how that scripture goes, but you'll be my disciple indeed. You should know the truth, and it's the truth that will have set you free.

He wants us to grow, grow, grow, grow in grace and the knowledge of God. Knowledge means knowing, getting to know him, grow in grace in the knowledge of God. Full of more, he said, I beg you, brethren, and exhort you by the law. He said, I'm exhorting you by the Lord. Jesus didn't come down here and tell him, but Paul taught it. God gave it to Paul. Paul taught the cross. And when Paul taught the cross, Paul recognized, and we look back at Romans the seventh chapter. He recognized he couldn't mix grace and uh uh law together. He came to a place in his life and said, Oh, Reshmain that I am. Who's gonna deliver me from this thing? Who can deliver me? I tried. Paul said, I tried. I tried to mix them two together. He can't mix nothing with grace. We gotta accept what Jesus did on the cross. We can't mix other stuff with it. We can't mix other stuff with what Jesus did on the cross. We can't mix just like grace and law. We can't mix those two together. Same way we can't mix what Jesus did on the cross. We either gonna believe that what he did on the cross and receive it, or we're not gonna receive it. We can't mix it. False doctrine have you mixing all. Kind of stuff together. And when you start mixing stuff together, the Holy Spirit can't help us. And then we wonder why we're not getting help. Because we are mixing stuff. False prophet tell you it don't take all that. You're doing good. You ain't doing good. Only one good, Jesus. We all trying to we're striving to enter in at the straight gate. Straight as a gate, narrow is a way. Now you gotta drop off some stuff. So it's very important.
