Athena Jane Churchill is an Artist
She creates installations, imaginary worlds, projects and experiences inviting viewers, participants and audiences to step into a world between the real and the imagined and journey within.

Recently she created a site specific installation called 'Free as a Bird' and in this podcast she speaks to us about the process that led to the installation at the same time as caring for her mother.

During the exhibition her mother Sandy, was coming to the end of her life, and she died the day after Jane's exhibition.
Jane talks candidly about the experience and shares with us how she lived all that was going on - I witnessed her during this time and she did so with enormous presence and grace

 More about her work....
 It includes:
Theatre set design
Visual Arts in many different media
Heritage Artist
Creator of Imaginary worlds.
Curator.
Project leader
Art Engagement Artist
Community Artist
Creative Development with organisations, museums, schools and communities.
One to One Creative Development for Individuals.

Her work encompasses all these realms and she loves living a creative life following her inspiration, creating artwork in many ways and working with people.

Her work is highly imaginative expressing her inner world, at times that takes the form of theatre sets or walk through installations, gallery exhibitions, or art that appears in unexpected places. Sometimes it is tiny boxes of memories and dreams. Sometimes it takes the form of creating projects and working with others to help them develop their creativity.
