Why Iran’s Missile Attacks Get A Global Shrug
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Why is it that global outrage only seems to roar when Israel defends itself, but falls silent when Iranian rockets rain down on civilians? For decades, Jerusalem has endured missile attacks and the world barely whispers, yet when Israel responds to clear military threats, the protests and condemnation erupt around the globe in record time. There’s an undeniable double standard at play—one that exposes just how selective international outrage can truly be. Are we willing to confront this hypocrisy, or do we just settle for the silence?

Monday Cold Open And Banter
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. Yep, yep, yep. It's Monday, David. And I just love Mondays. Sounds like a song. Remember the song? I love Mondays. I love Mondays.
SPEAKER_01That was it. Yep. The booth.
The Outrage Gap Around Israel
IRGC As A Global Terror Network
Houthis And The Diego Garcia Warning
Why Ceasefire Demands Favor Hamas
Antisemitism And A Different Moral Standard
SPEAKER_00I love Mondays. I love Mondays. All right. Let's just jump in. Okay, go. All right. I'm just gonna go. Here's the thing: nobody's polite when companies want to say something out loud. Rules apply to some, and we all know which people they apply to. Jerusalem was hit by missiles. Not only just this week, but for the last 47 years. It's either by itself, it's proxies. Iranian directed, Iranian fronted fronted Israeli civilians killed, wounded on their own streets. You want to do something uh for me right now? I want you to think about the noise level. Think about the volume of the global outrage, the emergency sessions that the UN has taken on, and the president's and the presidential statements in front pages with the viral hashtags. David, do you hear that? Oh, yeah. Crickets, baby. Cricket. That's the sound of the world not giving a flying fuck. Now let's flip it completely. Israel conducts a strike on Hamas military targets. And I mean, really, military targets. Not a metaphor, not a caveat. And within 48 hours, you've got protests in 30 cities, emergency resolutions at General Assembly, editorials in every major newspaper on fucking earth, and half the world's foreign ministers competing to see who can issue the most performative condemnation the fastest? It's a race, a sport. And Israel is the target. So I'll ask the question directly because apparently nobody else will. Why does the world mobilize in hours when it's Israel acting in self-defense and go completely, utterly, cosmically silent when Iran targets civilians with weapons that are actually against Geneva Convention? Yep. You know, the ones that split off. You know, just want to put it out there. So that's not rhetoric questions. It's the actual answer I'm waiting for. Let's talk about what Iran actually is. Not what diplomats whisper in hallways, not what it actually is. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp., also known as the IRGC, is a state within a state that has been running a global terror network for 47 years. Since the Islamic Revolution, 47 years of hostage taking, proxy warfare, assassination plots of American and European soil, funding of the octopus tentacles, Hezbollah, Hamas, Khutis, Islamic Jihad, etc. 47 years of exporting, uh, literally murder on industrial scale. And the response of the Western world. Negotiation summits, frameworks, deals, more negotiations, the Iran nuclear deal, the JCPOA, the JCPOA revival talks, the JCPO revival, revival, revival talks. A summit with a framework. You know, I don't know about you, David, but let's discuss what a framework is. Bullshit. Here's what we know about the IRGC right now. The United States designated the IRGC as a foreign terrorist organization backed in 2019 under the Trump administration. A real designation on the books, official. And the Biden administration spent three years quietly trying to remove that designation as a goodwill gesture during nuclear negotiations. Three years. Goodwill to an organization that was simultaneously plotting to assassinate a former U.S. national security advisor on foreign soil, plotted to kill a current and past president of the United States. That's not talking points. That's documented. The DOJ announced that plot name, the actors filed charges, and the diplomat track kept rolling away. Ask yourself why. Ask yourself why the instinct of Western governments and confronted with documented IRGC assassination plots, documented missile supplies to Russia for the use of Ukraine, documented attacks on commercial shipping, documented straights on Israeli territory, documented foreign actors sent to foreign countries to commit terrorist acts. It's always, always to look to the offering, the deal, to protect negotiating channels. And you ask yourself, what's the instinct in when Israel builds a settlement? Spoiler, it's not an offering. Let's talk about Diego Garcia because people heard that they moved on and that they shouldn't have. Houthi's missiles, IRGC supplied, IRGC coordinated, operations under an IRGC strategic umbrella have been targeting not just Israeli cities, not just the Red Sea shipping lanes, but extended their reach in a way that should be setting off alarm bells in every defense ministry in the world. This is not a regional conflict anymore. This is a global disruptor of terror campaign with Iranian fingerprints on every single piece of it. The Houthis didn't build long-range ballistic missiles in their garage, you fucking idiots. Someone gave them the technology, someone gave them the supply chain, someone gave them the targeting intelligence. Who? Obama, Biden? How about the IRGC? We know the world knows. And the world's response to pressure, Israel agrees to a ceasefire. A ceasefire. I want to talk about this word for a second because it's being used as a moral pludge. And it deserves some cross-examination. Who benefits from a ceasefire? Think about it structurally. You have one side, Israel, that is fighting to destroy a terror infrastructure that spent two decades embedding itself into a civilian population against the Geneva Convention. I just want to add, you have another side, Hamas, backed by Iran, who also embeds itself in that type of manner, whose entire strategic doctrine depends on surviving long enough to reconstitute, re-arm, and do October 7th and other horrible acts. Again, a ceasefire doesn't end a conflict. A ceasefire is an intermission. Get some popcorn, David. It's a logistic pause for the other side to reload. And our leaders know this. They're not stupid. When they push for a ceasefire, they're not pushing for peace, they're pushing for a pause. And let them stop talking about it. That's why at this point, political convenience, dressed up as humanitarianism, is like putting lipstick on a pig and calling it something else. But let's stay with the double standard because this is where I need you to stay with me. Because this is the part they really don't want examined. Since October 2023, the single largest mass occur since the Holocaust, the international community has produced more condemnations of Israel than Hamas. Let's sentence land more condemnations of victims, the perpetrator of UN Human Rights Council. And let's say it clearly, the UN Human Rights Council, which counts its member countries with zero functioning human rights. That's multiple special sessions targeting Israel. Not Iran, not Hamas. It's a joke. They knew what Hamas was before October 7th. They had reports. They had documentation. They had years of Hamas explicitly stating its genocidal intentions of its own governing charter. International community response was pressure Israel to ease a blockade, transfer tax revenues, allow reconstruction, feed the machine, stabilize the machine. The machine could operate on October 7th. They all knew it. They all were comprisive. They all funded it anyways. Here is where it gets personal. And I'm not going to apologize for that. This isn't just geopilla politics to David or myself. The targeting of Israeli civilians, Jewish civilians, is a pattern that has been escalating globally for years. It's not an accident. Anti-Semitism incidents in the United States hit a record in 2023 and has been climbing in 24. In the UK, Community Securities Trust logged over 4,000 anti-Semitic incidents in 2023. But Islamophobia, guys, you gotta be fair, more than any other year in history. In France, Jewish institutions are under permanent armed guard. In Germany, Jewish communities are debating whether they have a future here, once again. And when Jewish communities raise this, the climate's becoming dangerous in response to progressive institutions, incredibly. The question is whether their concerns are being used to shield Israel from criticism. That's where Jewish people are reporting that they feel unsafe because of political. Listen, I can bring this back to the missile crisis and go on and on and on. If Iran launched missiles that killed civilians in a Western aligned country, any other response would be immediate, severe, global. If those missiles hit Paris, London, any U.S. military city, they would not have a conversation. It would be proportionally restrained.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_00They would go out and blow the fuck out of these assholes. But why is Jerusalem? Then the question is: why does the world think differently when Israeli lives have a different calculation? Whether the death of the Jewish people, their own capital, it's simply worth less. I'm gonna close and let David grabble a couple of minutes here. It's not a solution, it's not a policy prescription, it's just a question. The one that doesn't go away no matter what summits you hold and who holds them. What does a ceasefire do? Why are the rules so different? And who exactly are they for?
Montreal Iranians March Against The Regime
Nightly Missiles And Civilians As Targets
Final Blessings And Sign Off
SPEAKER_01Well, thanks for taking up almost the whole rant there with that. Was good again. Really very little to say in that point. But folks, let me let me just throw a couple of little nuggets at you, which Stuart really went through pretty quickly. There was no attention paid to the fact that the Iranians are firing, they don't care who they're hitting. Simply put, in one attack, a Palestinian village in Bet Allah near the near Hebron was hit from fragments from cluster bombs. Now, you gotta understand that they they send a bomb, a missile filled with these little bombs. They call bomblets, they call it, and they'll fall everywhere to create and to to effect maximum damage. Four three Palestinians were killed, fourth person was wounded. I didn't see one single protest in the street, not one, you know, stopper on, not a word. It was just silence, the steward said. Now, when you talk about the three holiest sites, the three, sorry, the site for the three whole holy site for the three of the Christians, Jews, the Arab, the Muslims, very holy site. And you know, you go on and on and on and on. You know, here's what the world does. In order to protect the safety of the people at this time of year, you're the end of Ramadan, we're closing in on Easter, Passover. Unfortunately, because of these bombs and these missiles and these cluster bombs that are falling in and around Jerusalem, the police have had to evacuate people so that they don't go pray in public. So here's what the world does. There's a picture, a video floating around right now of Israel having to disperse Muslims who prayed in the streets of Jerusalem. They could disperse them for their safety. What was they blame Israel for? Denying Muslims the ability to pray during Ramadan. This is what they wanted to focus on, not the truth. Israel was trying to protect the safety of the people, their citizens, even the non-M, you know, those that came to Jerusalem. Israel's vilified for denying religious, you know, this is the irony, right? If you go to Iran, Jews can't practice, but it's okay. Here in here in Jerusalem, that's no, no, no. We we have to let them do whatever they want. Because that's your anarchist answer. You know, we talked about, excuse me, we talked about here, Stuart brought up Diego Garcia. Diego Garcia is in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Many people don't even know where the hell that is. It's a military base, it's an island, middle of the Indian Ocean, and it has a strategic value in terms of protecting the Indian Ocean and as a base, it's shared with the UK. Now, the missile missed, but the point is that the missile had that range. The Iranians lied to the world about what they have. Yep. And there was absolute silence. Yep. Stuart, on Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, I should say, I went marching with the Iranian community here in Montreal. It's a coordinated um protest to the Islamic regime. You know what the amazing thing was? Thousands and thousands of Iranians were there marching. And as I'm walking up, I see Israeli flags, and I'm thinking, oh, somebody I know must be Jewish. It was a Persian, who's an Iranian. Wow. Then I went to another one, and they're carrying an Israeli flag. And I pull them over and I said, I'm and I'm meanwhile, I've got on my back, I'm draped with an Israeli flag. My wife and I were walking through, and the and and the people are like thanking us. I'm like, why are you thanking me? Israel's the only one who's understanding and listening. The chant free the people from the Islamic regime. Free the people from the Islamic regime. This is what they're asking for. Get rid of the mullahs, allow freedom, install Reza Pallavi is the new Shah, and they want Western democracy in Iran. And the only people who seem to listen are the Israelis under Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump and the American system. That's who they're thanking. They sang the Star Spangled Banner. Apparently, last week they sang the Israeli national anthem Hatikfa. They were mode, they are so emotionally, you know, invested in this. They understand who's on their side, and they're disgusted who's on not on their side. Pro-Palestinian protesters have tried in the past to infiltrate, to disrupt, to cause anarchy here. Because how dare you thank Israel? How dare you legitimize Israel? This is what we've done. We've turned everything upside down. Guys, universities have taught kids, and we're in a second generation, adults and children are being taught to hate Jews and to love and to support terrorism. This is insane. When a cluster bomb falls on the holy site for three religions, and the Pope doesn't respond, the UN doesn't respond, you're asking yourself, what the hell is wrong? This is where we're at, Stuart. This is why the world is upside down today. This is what gate gets my blood boiling. You know, every single time, every single time this happens. Now, I don't understand this. Israel, uh for those of you who don't seem to know or don't seem to care, missiles and drones are fired at Israel every night. It's been three weeks people haven't been able to sleep in Israel because the sirens go off all night long and they tell people go to the shelters. This is what's happening in Arad, in a town of Arad. Listen, here's what you didn't get to. Israel fired at in Nance at the uh atomic uh facility, the Iranian nuclear facility, sorry, and went after it. What was the retaliation by Iran? Attack this the city next to Dimona, which is allegedly has the Israeli nuclear facility, and go out and attack civilians. A missile did go through in the town of Barad, you know, dozens and dozens and dozens of people were injured, and again, silent nothing, no response from the world, no condemnation, war stories. You know, it's very interesting how the pro-Pali movement was screaming and yelling, and other community, other politicians and other haters were saying, What about the civilians? What about the civilians? We need to protect the civilians in war. And here, Israeli civilians apparently don't matter whether they're Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Druze, it doesn't matter. These, if you are living in that area, it doesn't matter. Here's where I'm gonna wrap it up. You who are denying them the freedom are the enemy of democracy, not Trump, not BB Netanyahu. You are you're the one denying democracy to be to be spread around the world because you believe in this anarchy, you believe in terror, you believe that people like Hamas, the Kutis, Hezbollah, and all that have a legitimate right, you call them freedom fighters, you deny Israel's existence. When people like Anna Kasparian, who say Israel is an illegitimate state and should not exist, and you approve of that, you're you are vile. When you say there should be no country based on religion, but you allow 40 plus Islamic states to exist, including Iran that caused the Islamic Republic. There's only one message, it's clear. You could care less about Israel, you could care less about democracy, you could care less about what the Iranian people desire. That's what this weekend taught us, Stuart. That at this point, the poor people of Iran are not alone, but unfortunately, people are isolating them for imagine, asking for freedom.
SPEAKER_00David, listen, that's all we've got for tonight. Yeah, I'm fired up, you're fired up. Done. Let's go. Sorry about it. God bless Israel, God bless America, God bless the men, women, and uniform, God bless those that are in the state of Israel, God bless those that are innocent in Iran and that are on the front lines. God bless freedom. And for now, the world still remains quiet. So wrap it up, David.
SPEAKER_01Let's go, everybody. Have yourself a great week.
