What A US Navy Blockade Of Iran Really Means
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The world just witnessed the United States Navy slam the door on Iran—no more ships in, no more ships out, and that blockade is happening right now, not just another empty threat. The peace talks have collapsed, and with no agreement on the table, it’s clear you need a willing partner to make real progress. The Gulf is bracing themselves for a new era of tension, the consequences will ripple far beyond the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.

Welcome back, everybody. Welcome back to the Random. You know, I gotta tell you, it's a weekend of fun. The the P the again that word which we talked about last week, you know, the peace talks fell apart. I wanted to throw up listening to those statements. Uh Stuart, it's it there's no peace talks, people get over it. You can't have peace without a cessation, you can't have cessation without an agreement. And clearly, not only there was no agreement, but they're just proof proof positive that you need a partner on the other side to get anything done. But Stuart, this morning is or as we are like you know, starting to think of this rant and whatever, Straits of Ormuz, the good old streets, 10 a.m. Eastern people. Oh, still wants to talk.
US Navy Announces Iran Blockade
What Ships Get Stopped
Why Hormuz Matters For Oil
Leverage And Negotiations With Force
Israel Angle And Regional Coordination
SPEAKER_01So so, guys, brace yourself, brace yourself. Yeah, as of this morning, right? You know, and this has been fluid, and by the time we hit the release button, this could change. As of right now, today, the United States Navy is blockading Iran, not threatening it, not drafting a strong worded letter at the UN about it, no, not considering it pending committee review, doing it. And I want you to understand exactly what that means before CNN spends the next 72 hours telling you it means something else. Here are the facts. Straight from U.S. Central Command. No spin, no inter no interpretations, right? This morning, April 13, 2020, Sencom announces it is enforcing a full Navy blockade of maritime traffic entering or exiting Iranian port on the Gulf of the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. This source is SETCOM, right? SETCOM's own words, direct quote. SENCOM. SENCOM forces will be implementing a blockade of maritime traffic entering and exiting Iran's ports as of 10 a.m. Eastern Standard. Official statements, guys. Now listen, the scope of this blockade applies to vessels of all nations, right? It doesn't matter if your flag is Chinese, Russian, Turkish, Indian, Greek. If your destination is Iran's ports, the United States Navy is stopping you. Full stop. Commercial mariners in the region have been told monitor notice to all mariner broadcasts and contact U.S. naval forces directly, bridge to bridge, channel number 16, in case you didn't know it. When operating in the Gulf of Uma and the Strait of Home approaches, that is not a drill. That's the U.S. military running active maritime traffic control in one of the most contested waterways on earth. Now, here is one critical distinction that the media will get wrong. So I'm going to say it clearly. Senco was explicit. They will not interfere with vessels transiting the Strait of Armood and from non-Iranian ports. So therefore the streets say open for now. For everyone else, Saudi crude, UA experts, Qatari LNG, that traffic moves. What gets choked off is Iran. Specifically, surgically, Iran. And here's what and why that matters. The Strainer Muth is 21 miles wide, and it's the narrowest point through 21 miles of flow, somewhere between 20 and 21 percent of the world's entire daily supply of oil. And that's verified by just so you know, IEA, because now we're doing all this verification just in case they decide to, you know, shut us down. Every time a dictator in Tehran has felt concerned, the first thing they've threatened is to close the strait. They've called it their nuclear option, not a bomb, the strait, because they know what happens when the global economy, if waters close. And now the United States has called that bluff. We have parked the U.S., United States, Navy outside every Iranian port and says, You want to play a game with global energy, we can play a game too. This isn't reckless, this is leverage, maximum pressure with a uniform and a warship behind it. This is what it looks like when America stops writing memos, draws red lines, and starts making real moves. Understand, this is happening while diplomacy is still technically on the table. Right? Technically. American envoys are still in talks with the Iranian counterparts. By the way, they showed up with like 75 people. Like, who's in charge? I don't think they even know. But the Iranian counterparts over the nuclear program, right? There is no more nuclear program. That's the thing. Full stop. They're not like Mark Kearney or Little Kearney in Canada. They are saying Iran will not have nuclear, period. Simultaneously, the US military is physically blocking every point in the country. That is not a mixed signal. That is called negotiations from straight. Good old, good old Reagan comment. A concept that was completely absent for the last four years of the administration. Now, let's talk about Israel. Israel has been watching Iran's nuclear program accelerate for decades. Israeli defense and Israeli intelligence officials have made it no secret to either government over the last 20 plus years of the fact that a military strike on Iran's nuclear facility remains on the table. Verified. Now, let me tell you something. A naval blockade that pins Iran naval assets degrades Iran's ability to resupply Hezbollah and the Houthis and strains the Iranian economy from the sea, that's not coincidence. That is coordination. Or a very, at very minimum, the loudest green light in history that Israel has received from Washington in years. Here's what I want everyone to understand what happens next. If Iran retaliates, and that is genuinely, if not a certainty, the most likely move is that they will threaten for 40 years, mining, physical, blocking the strait. And if it happens, economic shockwave dust don't hits Tehran, it hits you at the pump and the grocery store and your heating bill because 20% of the world's oil supply will get disrupted overnight. And it moves fast and ugly. This is the moment. This is the pressure point. The world has been building towards this for two decades of failed Iranian diplomacy. Obama's disastrous nuclear deal that handed Tehran billions in American hundred dollar bills. Biden's attempts to revive it while Iran kept spinning centrifuges, right? And now finally, an administration has decided the answer is aggression isn't another agreement, it's a blockade. David, I'm coming to you right now because the story doesn't end with Washington and Tehran and Israel. Let's sort of end it up in Canada, you know, like Hungary, the Canadian tankers. How about the Carney?
Retaliation Risks And Price Shock
Canada’s Politics And Carney Critique
UN Committee Vote On Iran
SPEAKER_00You know, I'll tell you where Carney is, Stuart. I'll tell you where Kearney is. Carney had his liberal convention this past weekend, and it was all about, you know, the raw-raw, the and I we've been in those conventions, and it's all about rah-rah, Stuart. It's all about like our leader is the greatest thing, and it's the policies and whatever. And of course, the policy towards the Middle East is always the same, you know, the screaming of a two-state solution with the with the Palestinians. It's, you know, let's we're we're we're dead on Trump because everything Trump does is bad. You have a very wonderful media here who has been helping and pumping up Carney as the great savior in Canada. In the meantime, our economy is tanking. And Alberta has been saying for years, guys, if there is one chokehold in anywhere in the world, our gas prices are gonna go through the roof. And Stuart, as I told you in the green room, you know, we were we're we're paying probably 30 to 40 cents more per gallon here, thanks to taxes and thanks to our stupidity in Canada. And Mark Carney's response has been very simply, you'll see prices will come down. Well, yeah, when soon. Oh, what's what's what's soon? And again, it's a typical Carney move. You know, when they talk about Trumping taco, you know, Trump always chickens out. What they're not saying in Canada is that Kearney always flips the flips flips flip-flops, and that is the Kearney position. I'll tell you what the Canadian position is, Stewart. Okay, after on the weekend, this is what the Iranians demanded. They wanted to end all sanctions, they wanted to control the Strait of Hormuz to charge a dollar a barrel. Imagine a dollar a barrel for every barrel that goes through the Strait of Hormuz, which would result in millions of millions of dollars per day towards the coffers of the Iranians. They wanted to write to enrich uranium, fuck you, to the United States. They had a compensate compensation for war damages, and of course, finally, a binding urine resolution to make sure that everything is kosher and all that stuff. And basically, what uh JD Vance said was get the out of here. 21 hours of negotiation. He says we have no partner here. And Canada, what does Canada do? Stuart, I'll tell you what Canada's done. Here, here it's not just Canada, there's a wonderful uh committee called the United Nations Committee for Program and Coordination. This is like a board of directors at the United Nations, it's composed of 34 UN member states. Iran has been on this, and it was time to re-elect or elect the different different you know countries to be part of it. Now, this committee, Stuart, is responsible for you know all the policies towards women, terrorism, everything that Iran is notoriously great at, right? Ha ha okay, and who who you know you know Iran came up again for an election, and the roster of people who voted for Iran to stay on this committee included Germany, France, Spain, the UK, and uh Stuart. I need your applause. Give me your applause. Right, my drum roll, the applause, Canada. That's right, Canada elect re-elected Iran to be on this board of directors. So if you ask me where the Canadian position is, and where the UK and where France and where all of these states that said on one hand, you know, uh, yeah, we gotta do something about Iran, but no, no, no, we're NATO states, we we don't give a shit. You want to know what Carney was doing, Stuart? Was giving everybody a high five that Canada avoided the two percent at NATO for years. Okay, in 2025 we gave in, but we for years we've avoided it. Ah, we've screwed the United States. That, ladies and gentlemen, is leadership in Canada and why the Iranians are laughing their asses off, going, wow, if we continue to have this effect on the UK, on France, on Spain, on Canada, solid members of the G7, we'll be okay. Iran's playing the wonderful game, Stuart, the political, the public game that you know that is is out to get the United States. It's out to get Trump. He's out to embarrass Trump. You know, Stuart, the Arab states around Iran begged the United States not to go to a ceasefire, but to finish the job. You know, uh Mohammed bin Salin, who's the prince of of Saudi Arabia, has been begging the United States to finish the job. Guess what, Stuart? It doesn't matter what Canada wants. Because in July, when it's time to reopen the Canadian, USM Mexico Agreement, Kuzma, the United States is gonna come in here and I'm gonna see what they're gonna, they're gonna crush Carney. And everybody's gonna blame you, Trump, because that's what the media has to do. The Trump derangement syndrome is the I wish there was medication for it provided to you by Medicare in Canada, but there isn't because the Trump, the the the obsession of you know, going after him is it's there, Stuart. It's it's it's fascinating. So when you talk about U.S. strength, you know, power through strength, you know, peace through strength, it's a policy that Israel has put in place because in the Middle East, Stuart, they don't know anything else, they don't know about this so-called diplomacy that Westerners love and crave. They know one thing power. And whoever holds the power gets to control the region.
NATO Spending And USMCA Pressure
SPEAKER_01David, I told you everything you need to know. America acted. America acted today with warships and a blockade, with a full weight of the United States military positioned between the world's most dangerous regime and the rest of the globe's economy. No committee, no resolution, no strongly worded UN action, right? And while that's happening, while history is being made in the Gulf, Oman this morning, Canada's prime minister, had nothing to say. A G7 nation, a NATO ally, a country drowning in oil, it can't get to market because its own government spent a decade strangling the pipelines that would move it. Iran has been the world's most dangerous sponsor of state terrorism for 47 years. 40 years of negotiation, 40 years of deals, 40 years of broken promises, spinning centrifuge, and and an approximar from Beirut to Baghdad to the Red Sea. Iran is the state sponsor of terror, of terrorism in the in the world since 1984. And it's been ongoing since 1984. And finally, somebody did something about it now. That's the story. Not a hand-wringing, you know, not think peace about escalation that's already been written in every liberal newsroom in America or Canada right now. That's the story in America showed up. Should be Stuart, let's go with the show. The only question left that should be is what every Canadian awakes to later on today, you know, after they finish work. Well is whether Ottawa will ever wake up.
Democrats Accused Of Undercutting Strategy
SPEAKER_00No, David. Stuart, you keep you keep pounding Ottawa. I have a problem with you, Stuart. Your own Democratic Party can't seem to get wake up and realize what's going on wrong here in the United States. Because when when Iran when he attacked Iran, there was no strategy. There was no strategy. When he blew up their nuclear program, there was no strategy. And all of a sudden, Chuck Schumer, who for years said Iran is the biggest problem, we have to do something about Iran. Suddenly, when Trump did something about it, no, no, no, no, it's wrong. We shouldn't be doing this. And this is what your Democratic Party is doing, but the King Jeffries and Chuck Schumer continued to pound away. And even through the Sunday new news programs, only message they could do is that Trump has no strategy, Trump has no strategies, Trump has no strategy. Folks, if you didn't pay attention since the beginning of the war, his strategy was to devastate their nuclear program, to take out their entire ability to fire rockets, which they're not there yet. There's admittedly that's that's the situation, but to keep the Strait of Hormuz open. That was what they were doing. And if it brings Iran to the knees to negotiate a new deal, that's what was going to happen. But the but the Democrats wanted their way, which is whatever Trump doesn't do is their way. So if he wants to call for a ceasefire, they opposed it. If he goes to war, they opposed it. And this is your party. So while you could crap on Canada all you want, and you are right, that Carney has done nothing. The Democratic Party is the party of Iran, it is the supporter of Iran, it has it is actually mobilized millions of Americans to oppose Trump's move in the Middle East. In fact, thanks to Joe Biden's dumb policies of not producing more oil, the United States would have sold more oil to these countries who depended on Iran. Now, thanks to Trump's move in Venezuela, in other words, he's forcing these countries to buy the crude from the United States so that prices can stay down. Now let's see what the Democrats do.
SPEAKER_01I want 30 seconds, I want 30 seconds on where the demon is. Because I remember vidly vividly, every time Donald Trump so much has looked at Iran sideways, the entire Democratic Party loses its mind. When Trump pulled out of Obama's disastrous nuclear leader in 18, the deal that handed$150 billion in relief,$1.7 billion in clash, flown on pallets in the middle of the night to the Middle East. You know what? You know what, guys, listen, Democrats called it reckless, dangerous, a provocation. Chuck Chucky, little Chucky, got got on the Senate floor and warned about war, right? When Trump ordered the strike that took out Hassem Salomani, the most prolific state sponsored terrorist on the planet, right? Nancy Pelosi drafted a war powers resolution to punish the president for eliminating a man with American and worldwide blood on his hands. So where are they now? Well, Chuck Schumer today. Well, where's Adam Schiff? Where is the squad? Where is Alexander Cortez, Ilan Omar, Rashida Talib? We know where they are. We know that couldn't condemn.
Final Take And Wrap Up
SPEAKER_0030 seconds are done. Let's get real. Let's get real and we'll wrap this up. It's really very simple, Stu. Your Democratic Party, and I say you, I mean Americans Democratic Party, is exactly where they should be. It's in the cheerleader. Remember, these are the same people who cheer when you know when when Democrats win something, they're cheering when the Republicans lose their. You know, when the Republicans they can catch the Republicans with their pants down, no problem. Where's Eric Swalwell today? Where's you know, where is he? Where's all these guys? You know, it's funny because they the the Democrats are accusing the Republicans of not, you know, again, Trump loving. You all you guys do is you you you you you praise Trump at ad nauseum. What'd you do with Biden? Biden did nothing with Iran. Biden except gave him billions of dollars. Biden said the way to peace is to bribe uh the other side. It didn't do the job. The only way to stop the other side is to blow them up. And when Nancy Pelosi and Hakeem Jeffries and all these other idiots from one congressperson to another continue to push the 25th Amendment and said we need to impeach Trump. You know what you're creating, people, and you started this. You started this, you've created such a huge divide in the United States, you've created such a wedge in the U.S. that instead of getting together and saying, Let's finish this up, we will finally be a prosperous nation, we will finally be able to get rid of state-sponsored tenorism. Instead, you encourage getting rid of the person who's actually doing something. You are no better than the IRGC. Wrap it up, Scorpio.
SPEAKER_01All right, it's wrapped up because David finished talking.
