Previously, he had multiple roles with High Performance Sport New Zealand preparing them for the Tokyo and Beijing Olympics. Prior to that he actually ran a Cafe while also working for UK Sport. Richard also founded the National Cycling Training and Development Center in Calgary, Canada.
