This week is national living wage and national Minimum Wage week. And what this means, is that legally, your employer must - not may, but must increase your hourly rate to the new rates set by the Government.
In this week’s episode we take you through your new hourly rates, we share the top 10 reasons bad employers have given for not wanting to pay the new rates, and we touch on what you can do if your employer refuses to pay.
It's our view, that the more you are able to acquaint yourself with your employment rights in this area, the more your rights will act as an early warning system, which you can use to spot bad treatment or illegal treatment that you may be suffering at work.
