PRINCE OF PEACE

"He Shall Be Called" Series

Isaiah 9:6. 6 For a child is born to us, A son is given to us; And the government Is upon His shoulder; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

The word PEACE is used over 400 times in the bible.  

  • Luke 2:14: "Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, good will toward men!" 

1 - He's the Prince of Peace in good times, and especially in bad times. 

2 - As a follower of Jesus, He calls me to be an agent of peace as well. 

3 - How to be a peacemaker ... 

  • Provide help when others are in need. 
     
  • Be kind to others at all times. 

  • Be both kind and patient with vulnerable people such as those with disabilities, the homeless and elderly people. 

  • Speak out against discrimination and prejudice

  • Learn to control your temper.

  • Forgive others who have hurt you, whether they've asked or not.

  • Never be a bully ... physically or verbally. 

  • Be kind to others who don't like you. 
     
  • Apologize often. 

  • Take the first step towards reconciliation.
