00:06:18.512 The title of the message today is Uplifted Kingdom, intercession, and the text is the one I just read Matthew, chapter 8, verse 5 up to verse 13. 00:06:18.512 --> 00:06:30.346 And for the purpose of us being able to follow, as I share, I have outlined this message in three pockets or pigeonholes. 00:06:30.346 --> 00:06:31.687 Three of them. 00:06:31.687 --> 00:06:40.992 The first one is the plea of intercession, the second one is the faith of intercession and the third one the fruit of intercession. 00:06:40.992 --> 00:06:44.232 Let me just repeat again the plea of intercession, possible now, because of where God has put us, to be able to invite the kingdom of God to function in earthly situations. 00:07:15.492 --> 00:07:23.627 And you know, when you invite God or his kingdom into earthly situations, those situations must change. 00:07:23.627 --> 00:07:57.482 They will not remain the same, and so intercession is a very important privilege that God has actually granted to all of us, because the role of a priest has now been removed from an elite group, just a small group of people who are expert prayer experts, or maybe prayer warriors, or a small group of people where others feel this one is more connected to God than me. 00:07:57.482 --> 00:08:04.632 But the priestly role or the call to priesthood is a call for every believer. 00:08:04.692 --> 00:08:19.514 Now, it is for every believer, and for that reason we can intercede, we can actually step in and talk to God the language of prayer on behalf of others. 00:08:19.514 --> 00:08:35.230 We can step in the place of intercession, and as we step into the place of intercession and as we step into the place of intercession, we step there with convictions that God is able and therefore we shall not limit him. 00:08:35.230 --> 00:08:38.008 And that is what is happening in this text. 00:08:38.008 --> 00:08:47.947 There's a man, called a centurion, who steps in the place of intercession on behalf of his servant, and this centurion has a big faith. 00:08:47.947 --> 00:08:50.225 He is not limiting God. 00:08:50.225 --> 00:08:58.192 And as I share this word with us today, I am praying that somebody will be lifted to the next level in the realm of intercession. 00:08:59.201 --> 00:09:35.714 We need many people to come to the place of intercession because where we live, our neighborhoods and even within our families, within our country, kenya, right now, and across Africa and the world, we all know that there is a big need for us to step up in the place of prayer and be able to bring prayer items and speak to God on matters across the boat, without leaving some out and saying only this I can take to God. 00:09:35.714 --> 00:09:47.874 And the amazing thing that makes this possible is the fact that God has opened the door and therefore, everyone can come. 00:09:47.874 --> 00:09:56.841 Everyone can come when you read Revelation, chapter 4, verse 1 and 2 and I'll read it on the screen Revelation, chapter 4, verse 1 and 2. 00:09:56.841 --> 00:10:14.773 You know, john is lifted by the power of God's word and also by the spirit of God, by the power of God's word and also by the spirit of God to be able to come to a place where he sees an open door and in that particular place he sees the throne room and he sees one who sits there. 00:10:14.773 --> 00:10:17.288 Let me just read Revelation, chapter 4, verse 1 and 2. 00:10:18.260 --> 00:10:22.409 After this, I looked and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. 00:10:22.409 --> 00:10:23.552 And that's the way it is. 00:10:23.552 --> 00:10:36.043 Even as I'm talking right now, it is now open, and the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said come up here. 00:10:36.043 --> 00:10:36.985 This is a will show you what must take place after this. 00:10:47.394 --> 00:10:51.701 Amazing, because in that place you get revelation At once. 00:10:52.041 --> 00:11:11.889 I was in the spirit and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it the privilege of intercession, because you see, when you engage intercession and you come to the place of prayer on behalf of others, there are amazing things God begins to show you. 00:11:11.889 --> 00:11:22.128 And the threshold of intercession is seeing God and seeing his attributes and seeing his glory and actually seeing who he is. 00:11:22.128 --> 00:11:30.394 Because you can never succeed in the place of prayer or intercession if you don't first of all say God, show me who you are. 00:11:30.394 --> 00:11:35.071 God, help me understand what you are able to do. 00:11:35.071 --> 00:11:39.783 God, give me a vision and a revelation of who you are. 00:11:39.783 --> 00:11:55.207 And therefore God has allowed every one of us we have equal opportunities to be lifted by the spirit of intercession or the spirit of God to the place where we find an open door, and I don't know how many of us have this experience. 00:11:55.940 --> 00:12:07.246 Every time I come to God in prayer, like I did this morning at 5 am, and I wake up and I say, god, I cannot face this day without you there is a lifting. 00:12:07.246 --> 00:12:18.724 There is a lifting you get, and there is also a warmth you experience and you feel like you are taken on a journey and you begin to see things you have never seen. 00:12:18.724 --> 00:12:30.605 You know, like scripture says, what no eye has seen, nor your heart, nor the heart of man conceived, god has revealed, has revealed to those who love him. 00:12:30.605 --> 00:12:51.947 And that is why you can enter bold intercession, because you have the intercession convictions and the intercession understanding that you're not talking to a deaf God, that the gates are open, that the throne room is there, the king of kings is sitting there and you see him. 00:12:51.947 --> 00:12:54.168 You know, you actually see him. 00:12:54.168 --> 00:12:58.232 You can never succeed in the place of prayer unless you start there. 00:12:58.232 --> 00:13:07.682 And you know, john is lifted and he began to see this place and he's seeing Jesus sitting there and his loving eyes and his kind eyes. 00:13:07.682 --> 00:13:14.802 And the rest of the story is flowing from such a connection and such an understanding. 00:13:14.802 --> 00:13:25.010 And let me say, then, the threshold of intercession is actually that lifting by the spirit of God and being able to see and understand who God is. 00:13:25.591 --> 00:13:32.831 And let me tell you this this centurion that we are talking about here has realm of the human I mean the realm like a human being but at another level, and therefore that understanding and that engagement Is very, very critical when it comes to intercession, uplifted kingdom, intercession, kingdom work coming down, and so God shows you, lifts you, shows you, and he says, for that matter, you are praying over my desire and will is this one, and the pattern in heaven for the destiny of what you are praying on earth, the pattern that is in heaven already, is this one. 00:14:45.779 --> 00:15:05.855 Therefore, my child, talk to me, begin to talk to me, talk to me about that family, begin to talk to me about that person, and then God shows you the plan, he shows you the pattern, and then you start speaking a language which is heavenly, because when you are praying at the place of intercession, you are not speaking earthly things. 00:15:05.855 --> 00:15:26.128 You are beginning to speak what God has already put in your heart and that's what I would encourage us here that, as you come to the place of intercession, begin at the place of saying God, show me who you are, god, show me what plan you have for this situation and God, help me pray. 00:15:26.128 --> 00:15:29.566 And let me tell you, prayer does not come from man. 00:15:29.566 --> 00:15:31.791 Prayer comes from the spirit of God. 00:15:31.791 --> 00:15:41.386 You pray as God prays in you and you can tell somebody who is praying as prayer that God is praying within them and one who is just praying a human prayer. 00:15:41.587 --> 00:15:46.100 There is a very, very big difference Intellectual prayer and a spirit prayer. 00:15:46.100 --> 00:15:54.863 There is a total difference between the two, and so the language of prayer is intercession, is spirit language. 00:15:54.863 --> you begin to fetch it in terms of your prayer and then you start decreeing it, and that's why you find in the revival season 10 decrees and also declarations. 00:16:18.711 --> 00:16:28.105 I wrote 15 of them and for each one of them I had put a scripture, because that is the language of the kingdom, and for each one of them I had put a scripture, because that is the language of the kingdom and Roman. 00:16:35.350 --> 00:16:52.253 You'd call him, not even a believer, but thank God, he has understood, he has followed Jesus somehow and he has understood that as he comes to the place of prayer and is coming to the place of intercession, he is not dealing with an equal. 00:16:52.253 --> 00:16:58.572 He is not dealing, he's not a familiar place, he's not just dealing with somebody at his level. 00:16:58.572 --> 00:17:16.023 He's dealing with someone who is able and therefore I want us to understand that God is calling us to the place of intercession and God has chosen to work only through prayer and is waiting for someone to come to the place of prayer so that he can move. 00:17:16.023 --> 00:17:26.703 If you find a neighborhood where God is not moving, it is because maybe there are no people there who have gone to the place of prayer and they are tiring there. 00:17:26.703 --> 00:17:32.008 Instead, they are using their own human strength to change things in their neighborhoods. 00:17:32.488 --> 00:17:58.609 But I want to tell you there are spiritual realities about everything that, unless you have the secret and understanding that everything is first of all spiritual and then manifests in the physical and therefore, to be able to touch the nerve center and the foundation and the roots and the bottom of every development, you must connect at the spiritual level. 00:17:58.609 --> 00:18:11.570 And so, in that neighborhood, within your family, those issues that have been deep-seated, very complicated and very difficult, I am telling you there is a God in
