May Week 3 Theme Vision: Your Testimony is Powerful.
Have you ever felt your story wasn't significant enough to share? The Samaritan woman might have felt the same way – five failed marriages and living with yet another man hardly seemed like credentials for ministry. Yet her simple testimony transformed an entire town.
Your personal testimony carries more power than you realize. Drawing from John 4:39, we explore how one woman's straightforward account of her encounter with Jesus led many Samaritans to faith. Your testimony isn't just a story – it's a powerful tool for kingdom advancement that serves three essential purposes.
First, it declares what God has specifically done for you – something completely unique and irrefutable. Like the man healed of blindness who simply stated, "I was blind but now I see," your testimony stands as evidence no one can take from you. Second, it serves as a signpost pointing others directly to Jesus. The Samaritan woman didn't glorify herself but directed her community toward the Messiah. Finally, your testimony brings glory to God as others witness His transformative work through your life.
The beautiful truth is that no testimony is insignificant. Whether dramatic or quiet, sudden or gradual, your authentic account of God's work carries divine power. We often downplay our stories, thinking they're too ordinary compared to others. But that's precisely where we err – each testimony is uniquely designed to reach specific people that perhaps no other story could impact.
Will you accept the challenge to share your testimony with someone today? Your story might be exactly what someone else needs to hear. As you share openly what God has done in your life, you'll witness firsthand the extraordinary power of testimony to change hearts, transform communities, and glorify God.

Welcome and greetings, blessings. In the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, jesus Christ, I want to share with us a word titled your Testimony is Powerful. Your Testimony is Powerful. Let me read from John, chapter 4, verse 39, just to underline the fact that your testimony is powerful. This is what the Bible says that your testimony is powerful. This is what the Bible says. Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Jesus because of the woman's testimony. He told me everything I've ever done. You have a testimony and that testimony is powerful. Don't hide it, don't cover. It is powerful. Don't hide it, don't cover it. Just go forth and tell the nations and the world your testimony.
Speaker 1:This lady in John chapter 4, we call her famously the Samaritan woman she was from a town called Sychar, which was in Samaria, and Jesus came and transformed her life, which was in Samaria, and Jesus came and transformed her life. Then the lady went into her town and shared her testimony. That's what we just read. She shared her testimony and because of her testimony, many of the Samaritans in that town called Sychar actually believed in Jesus. Your testimony is powerful, actually believed in Jesus. Your testimony is powerful. Don't put it under a basket. Put it on a lampstand so that it can send light to the people and that many people would come to know Jesus.
Speaker 1:There are three things I want to share about this testimony. Your testimony that is powerful. Number one your testimony is powerful because it tells the world of what the Lord has done for you. What God has done for you. No one can take it away from you. It is very, very special. It is very, very unique, and you need to tell the world what the Lord has done for you, just like in John, chapter 9, verse 25,. There's a guy there who had been healed of blindness and people tried to take him this way or that way. He said Whoever healed me, I don't know whether he was a sinner or not, but one thing I know I was blind and now I see your testimony is yours and it is unique. Don't hide it. Simply go ahead and tell it to the world, because it's what God has done for you and therefore it's powerful.
Speaker 1:Secondly, your testimony is powerful because it points people to Jesus. This lady knew what the Lord had done for her at Jacob's well. She had lived a life, you know, with five husbands. Now she was living with a sixth husband. Jesus was the seventh man meeting her at the well in her life and Jesus just turned her life around in her life. And Jesus just turned her life around and she simply used her testimony to point her city, saika, to the one who transformed her life.
Speaker 1:Your testimony is powerful because it will point people to Jesus. It's like a signboard. You know, it's very, very unique, like I said in the first point. But secondly, it will point to Jesus, people to Jesus. I received Jesus when I was about 17 years old and I've shared my testimony for the last many years that I have served the Lord and every time I share it, I share it. I see people led to Jesus just when I share my testimony.
Speaker 1:But finally, let me say your testimony is powerful because it brings glory to God. When people hear of what the Lord has done for you, when people are pointed to Jesus by your testimony, then God is glorified. Where you are right now, whether working place or at home or in school, you need to let the glory come to God by sharing your testimony. Your testimony is like a light. It lights up a world that is dark. When you begin to tell people what the Lord has done for you, then they start saying hallelujah and praise the Lord. The people in Sychar began to acknowledge God because of the testimony of this lady.
Speaker 1:Today, I challenge you and encourage you to share your testimony. There is no testimony that is small or big. Any testimony is powerful. Just I challenge you to share that testimony with one person, maybe three people, five people in your own world. Begin to share your testimony. It's a powerful tool for changing the world and so, even as we look at impartition of uncommon utterance, there's something you can share with your lips that will change your world. Give glory to God by sharing your testimony, like this lady, the Samaritan woman, did in her town called Sychar, which was in Samaria. As you share your testimony, god bless you. May the world around you change. May God be glorified, amen.
