What if your words could do more than just communicate—what if they could transform reality itself?

This profound episode explores the extraordinary power of spirit-led speech through the fascinating biblical story of Balaam and his talking donkey. When God can open the mouth of a simple animal to speak truth, imagine what He can do through you—His chosen creation made in His image and filled with His Spirit!

Discover the four remarkable characteristics of uncommon, spirit-led utterance that can revolutionize your communication. Your words can erupt with divine power to disrupt confusion and darkness, just as Peter's Spirit-empowered message at Pentecost transformed 3,000 lives in a single moment. They can heal and restore, as demonstrated by the centurion who understood that Jesus' words alone carried enough authority to heal his servant from a distance.

We examine how Nathan's carefully crafted story convicted King David of his sin, leading to genuine repentance and spiritual realignment. And we witness how Jesus speaking a single name—"Mary"—at the tomb completely transformed grief into joy, showing how spirit-led words comfort and embrace the brokenhearted.

Throughout this message, Scripture comes alive as we see God working through ordinary people who allowed their speech to become an instrument of His extraordinary purposes. Whether in boardrooms, family conversations, or moments of ministry, your words carry supernatural potential when aligned with God's will.

Life and death truly are in the power of the tongue. Will you allow the Holy Spirit to guide what you say today? Your next spirit-led utterance might just change someone's eternity.

Speaker 1:

God. God is good and all the time. God is good, and that's his nature. The Bible says that two or three are gathered in his name. They are in the midst of them, he is present. And so we have gathered in God's presence and our lives will never be the same again. Because he's faithful, he says don't you see I am doing something new? Amen. So God is doing something new in our middays today, even as we conclude the month of the impartation of uncommon at-rance, spirit-led speech.

Speaker 1:

Praise God. You know, I read the book of Numbers 22 the other day and I realized kumbe donkeys can talk. Praise God. Have you ever come across that scripture? Maybe if you could share with us the book of Numbers 22. And I want us to be very keen with the conversations in that passage.

Speaker 1:

This is the story of Balaam and Balak. Then the Lord opened Give me from verse 1, please. Passage this is the story of Balaam and Balak. Then the Lord opened give me from verse 1, please. Take us to verse 1. Verse 1.

Speaker 1:

So the Bible says then the Israelites traveled to the plains of Moab and come along the Jordan across from Jericho. Now Balak, son of Zippor, saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, moab was filled with dread because of the Israelites. The Moabites said to the elders of Midian this horde is going to lick up everything around us as an ox licks up the grass off the field. So Balak, son of Zippo, who was king of Moab at that time, sent messengers to summon Balaam, son of Beor, who was at Petho, near the Euphrates River in his native land, balakside. A people has come out of Egypt. They cover the face of the land and have settled next to me. Now come and put a curse on these people, because they are too powerful for me. Perhaps these will be able to defeat, perhaps I will be able to defeat them. No, please, not. Even the enemy knows you are very strong, praise God. So he has to seek powers from elsewhere so that he can defeat you. Now he wants the children of Israel to be cursed and drive them out of the land. For I know that whoever you bless is blessed and whoever you curse is cursed.

Speaker 1:

The elders of Moab and Midian left, taking with them the fee for divination. When they came to Balaam, they told him what Balak had said Spend the night here, balaam, said to them, and I will report back to you with the answer the Lord gives me. So the Moabite officials stayed with him. God came to Balaam and asked who are these men with you? Balaam said to God Balak, son of Zippor, king of Moab, sent me this message A people that has come out of Egypt covers the face of the land. Now come and put a curse on them for me. Perhaps then I will be able to fight them and drive them away. But God said to Balaam do not go with them. You must not put a curse on those people, because they are blessed. Please tell your neighbor I am blessed. Turn to your other neighbor, tell them I am blessed and whatever God has blessed, no man can curse.

Speaker 1:

The next morning Balaam got up and said to Balaak's officials Go back to your own country, for the Lord has refused to let me go with you. So the Moabite officials returned to Balaak and said Balaam refused to come with us. Then Balak sent other officials, more numerous and more distinguished than the first. These ones were more distinguished, amen. The first ones were Kienyeji, kienyeji. They didn't look that serious, praise God. So he had to send people who looked more serious to be able to convince Balaam. They came to Balaam and said this is what Balak, son of Zippor, says Do not let anything keep you from coming to me, because I will reward you handsomely and do whatever you say. Come and put a curse on these people. For me, the enemy is even ready to bribe for your downfall. Amen, you see what the enemy is doing. But Balaam answered them even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything, great or small, to go beyond the command of the Lord. My God, now spend the night here so that I can find out what else the Lord will tell me. That night God came to Balaam and said Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you. Do only what I tell you.

Speaker 1:

Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the Moabite officials. But God was very angry when he went and an angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam was riding on his donkey and his two servants were with him. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, tell your neighbor. The donkey saw the angel of the Lord. Tell your neighbor, the donkey saw the angel of the Lord Standing in front of the road with a drawn sword in his hand, he turned off the road into the field. Balaam beat it to get it back on the road. Praise Jesus on the road. Praise Jesus. It's interesting how the donkey was able to see the angel. But the man of God was not able to see the angel. Instead, he punished the donkey for veering off the track. Praise Jesus.

Speaker 1:

Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path. Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path through the vineyards with walls on both sides. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it pressed close to the wall, crushing Balaam's foot against it. So he beat the donkey again. This is the second time he's beating the donkey, but remember the donkey keeps seeing the angel opposing that journey. Then the angel of the Lord moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where there was no room to return either to the right or to the left. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it laid down under the bale and he was angry and beat it with his staff. Then the Lord opened the donkey's mouth. Then the Lord did what Opened the donkey's mouth and it said to Balaam what have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?

Speaker 1:

This is a donkey speaking. It has never been into a nursery school, never been taught pronunciations, but now talks to a man who has been talking to God every day. Balaam answered the donkey, you have made a fool of me. If only I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now. The donkey said to Balaam Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden To this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you? No, he said. Then the Lord opened Balaam's eyes and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell face down. The angel of the Lord asked him why have you beaten your donkey these three times? Now you can imagine being the donkey, because I'm sure the donkey is hearing this conversation. You start jumping around because the Lord is now fighting for you. But remember the reason why Balak had sent for Balaam is to go and cast the children of Israel, and these are people that God has already blessed. Remember life and death are in the power of the tongue.

Speaker 1:

As we conclude the month of the Lord's uncommon utterance. Remember your words should be spirit led. Praise God. Your words should be spirit-led. Praise God, your words should be spirit-led. I'm glad Balaam kept on inquiring of the Lord. Praise Jesus. When the officials from Moab came to him, he would respond to them and tell them let me sleep over it and see what the Lord will say. The next morning he would come with an answer. But at this time he's going to Balak's place and God doesn't want him to go there, because Balak's goal is to curse the children of Israel.

Speaker 1:

Praise Jesus. Tell your neighbor the weapons fashioned against me will not prosper Because God fights our battles. Praise Jesus Now. If God can open the mouth of a donkey, how much more the mouth of his children? Praise God.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says we are the chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God. He has created us in his own image. He says our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. He lives inside of us. We are anointed with the power of the Holy Spirit. Praise Jesus. He lives inside of us, and so our speech should be spirit-led. Praise Jesus. Our speech should be spirit-led. And I want to share three characteristics of the Lord's uncommon utterance. Spirit-led speech Number one this speech erupts, amen. It erupts, this speech heals, this speech convicts and this speech comforts. Praise Jesus, Tell your neighbor. It erupts, it heals, it convicts and it comforts.

Speaker 1:

Remember the story of Peter during the Pentecost in the book of Acts, chapter 2, media. If you could share us Acts chapter 2, acts chapter 2, from verse 1, please Give us verse 1. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Praise Jesus, remember. They were just relaxed, they had prayed and then, all of a sudden, they are filled with the Holy Spirit and they erupt in speech. And now they are speaking in other tongues. Now they are staying in Jerusalem, god fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.

Speaker 1:

When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment Because each one had their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked aren't all these who are speaking Galileans? Then now is it that each of them hears them in our native language Pathians, medes and Elamites, residents of Mesopotamia, judea and Cacodosia, pontus and Asia, pygia and Pamphylia, egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene. Visitors from Rome, both Jews and converts of Judaism, cretans and Arabs. We hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues Amen. Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another what does this mean? Somehow made fun of them and said they have had too much wine.

Speaker 1:

Then Peter stood up with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd, fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem. Let me explain this to you. Listen carefully to what I say. Remember this Peter is the one who denied Jesus three times. Praise God, when a lady rose up and said this is one of Jesus' disciples. He denied Jesus the first time, the second time and the third time. He was filled with fear at that time, but this time he received the Holy Spirit and he erupts. He stands up and he tells the people. Let me explain this to you. But remember, through his speech, 3,000 people turned to Jesus Christ. Praise Jesus. So this speech erupts to disrupt the confusion, the disbelief, and it draws people close to Jesus Christ. Amen. So this Peter, who is timid, now, is bold enough to declare the word of God and 3,000 people give their lives to Jesus in an instant. Praise Jesus. So in that boardroom, in your workplace, in your businesses, let your speech erupt with power to bring glory and honor to God and display the image of our Lord, jesus Christ. Number two this speech heals. You.

Speaker 1:

Remember the story of the centurion servant Media. If you could share with us the book of Luke, chapter 7, from verse 1 to 7. When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Kapernaum. There, a centurion's servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die and about to die. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jew to him asking him to come and heal his servant. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded honestly with him. This man deserves to have you do this because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue. So Jesus went to him. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends To say to him Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word and my servant will be healed. Just say a word.

Speaker 1:

Jesus did not need to travel and maybe visit the centurion's home to lay his hands on the sick. He needed to just say a word. What word are you speaking today in your situation? Is it a word that heals? Amen. Remember, balak wanted the children of Israel to be cursed, praise Jesus. But here the centurion wants his servant healed and he knows, if Jesus says a word, he will be healed.

Speaker 1:

Let me tell you, the Bible says if your faith is small as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain be moved, and it shall be moved and thrown into the sea. Remember, jesus spoke to a fig tree and the next day the tree had withered, moved and thrown into the sea. Remember, jesus spoke to a fig tree and the next day the tree had withered from the roots. He created each one of us in his own image. Your words are not just mere words. They contain power, they are alive and whatever you say shall return to you with fruits. Praise Jesus. So watch over what you say. The centurion servants just say a healing word Amen. Speak a word of provision in your situation. Amen. Speak a word of protection in your family. Amen. Speak success in all your endeavors. Praise God and they shall come to pass. Praise Jesus. The. They shall come to pass. Praise Jesus. The third one. We said this speech convicts. Praise God.

Speaker 1:

Remember the story of Nathan and David from the book of 2 Samuel, chapter 12, from verse 1, please. The Lord sent Nathan to David. When he came to him he said there are two men in a certain town, one rich and another poor. The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle Verse 4. Of sheep and cattle, verse 4. But the poor man had nothing except one little lamb he had bought. He raised it and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him.

Speaker 1:

Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from talking to him, from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare A meal for the traveler who had come to him, to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the old lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him. David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan as surely as the Lord lives the man who did this must die. He must pay for that lump four times over because he did such a thing and had no pity. Then Nathan said to David you are the man. Praise God. Remember David had already passed a judgment. What should be done to that man who had done the injustice to the poor, amen.

Speaker 1:

But then Nathan tells David you are that man I'm talking about. You are the man. This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says. I anointed you king over Israel and I delivered you from the hand of Saul and gave your master's house to you and your master's wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah, and if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Amorites.

Speaker 1:

So when it was revealed to David that he is the man who had done wrong, these words pierced through his heart and the guy broke. Praise God. And beyond breaking down, he repented. Amen. That's conviction at its best. Praise Jesus. So this uncommon speech. Remember what Nathan was telling David was meant to help him know that he had done a mistake and turn around and repent and come back to the ways of the Lord, praise Jesus. So this speech convicts to realign and David repented and he was realigned to God, praise Jesus. And the Bible calls David a man after God's own heart, because whenever he was convicted of any sin, of his wrongdoings, the guy would repent and run back to God. Praise Jesus. He is faithful and there is none like him. And lastly, the Lord's uncommon speech comforts. It wraps souls in peace. It comforts to embrace. Praise God. We'll read from verse 1, please.

Speaker 1:

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and other disciples. The Lord Jesus laughed and said they have taken the Lord out of the tomb and we don't know where they have put him. Verse 3 please outran Peter and reached the tomb. First he bent over and looked in and the stripes of the linen lying there, but did not go in. Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the stripes of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus' head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally, the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went inside. He saw and believed. They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead. Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.

Speaker 1:

Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. She was weeping as she wept. She bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her Woman, why are you crying? They have taken my Lord away, she said, and I don't know where they have put him and this? She turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus and asked her Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for? Who is it you are looking for, thinking he was the gardener? She said, sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him and I will get him. Jesus said to her Mary. She turned towards him and cried out in Aramaic Rabboni, rabboni. Remember.

Speaker 1:

Earlier she was seated outside the tomb, weeping and weeping, thinking that Jesus had been taken away. But look at Jesus' sword. He just called her name and the weeping turned into joy. Praise Jesus. May God call your name tonight. Amen. May your name be mentioned in big offices out there. Amen. Whether you know it or not, amen, and bring you that comfort. Jesus only mentioned Mary's name and she was back to her senses and her sorrow turned into joy because she knew the Lord had risen from the dead, amen. And so this spirit led speech comforts to embrace what was the first point. It erupts to disrupt a man. It breaks in with power. Two, it heals a man to restore, praise Jesus. Three, it convicts to realign and, lastly, it comforts to embrace Jipige makofita fadali.

Speaker 1:

I know today was a celebration Wednesday and we will be celebrating birthdays for the May babies Any May babies in the house. If you're born in the month of May, let's celebrate our birthday babies. And before we invite the birthday babies, I want to ask if there is anyone with a testimony. Anyone with a testimony? It's been a wonderful month. God has been faithful, god has been kind to us, someone has said something positive to us through the month or we have said something positive to us through the month, or we have said something positive to someone through the month. Anyone with a testimony, so that I don't lock you out Ashes, please prepare the birthday cake cake as they prepare the cake for the birthday babies. I am awaiting a testimony. Hasn't God been good to each one of us? If God has been good to you, please come and share your testimony. Your testimony will encourage someone, will comfort someone, will heal someone, will comfort someone, will heal someone. Amen, praise God.

Speaker 1:

So we are celebrating three things today Birthdays, testimonies and the Lord's table. And I believe all of us have been served with the communion elements. And if you haven't been served, let me ask the ushers served with the communion elements. And if you haven't been served, let me ask the ushers to pass the elements across so that each one of us is served. And as the ushers attend to us, let me ask the media team to share with us the book of 1 Corinthians, chapter 11, from verse 23. Verse 3.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you. The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said this is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper, he took the cup saying this cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this whenever you drink it in remembrance of me, for whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. And drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord. Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat the bread and drink from the cup, for those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ, eat and drink judgment on themselves.

Speaker 1:

It is out of love that God gave his only son, jesus Christ, to come and die for us on the cross, and the sin that was upon us was washed away by the blood of Jesus that was poured on the cross. Praise Jesus. The blood of Jesus has power to heal, power to restore, power to redeem, and so he was pierced for our transgression, and by his stripes we were healed. I believe each one of us has been served with the elements. Just take a moment, bow down and thank God for his love, for his mercies, for his goodness.

Speaker 1:

We have power to speak. Speech that is spirit-led because of the great works that Jesus did on the cross, and he said those who believe in him. The things that he did, we will also do, and even much more. If his speech erupts and pierces through the hearts of men and convicts them of their sin and draws them to Jesus Christ, your speech can do the same because it died for you. If his speech can heal, your speech can also heal. If his speech convicts the hearts of men, your speech can also convict people In your workplaces, in that matatu, in that taxi, your speech can still convict people.

Speaker 1:

If God's speech, if God's utterances comfort, your speech can also comfort your family, someone who is grieving, someone who is struggling. You are there and God wants to use you to comfort them and embrace them, and this is because of the works that Jesus did for us on the cross. So, father, we thank you for your love, we thank you for your mercies, we thank you for sending your only son, jesus Christ, to come die for us on the cross. His blood was shed for us, his body was broken for us and the life that we live today we live by grace because of the works that Jesus did for us on the cross. We thank you, father, we praise you because you alone our God and there's none like you. Your death and resurrection brought us eternal life, life that conquered the grave, life that made it impossible for the grave to hold Jesus Christ. That life flows from the crowns of our heads to the soles of our feet. Every bone of our body is of mighty God and every fiber of our being has the life of God. Eternal life, everlasting life, resurrection, life, life that is everlasting. And so, god, we praise you and we worship you for love and mercy.

Speaker 1:

May our speech erupt to disrupt, heal to restore. May our speech convict to realign. May our speeches not comfort to embrace, because you are a faithful God and there is none like you. As we partake of your body and of your blood, let your power be manifested in us, because you are a faithful God and there is none like you. And let it be known in all the earth that you are loving and there is none like you. For this, we pray in Jesus' name and God's people say Amen. You may partake of the elements together. Thank you, lord, amen, king of kings, we thank you for the month of May.

Speaker 1:

It has been a wonderful month, the month of the impartation of the Lord's uncommon utterance.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, father, for your Spirit, who lives inside of us, speaks in us, with us and through us.

Speaker 1:

Almighty Father, may we be alert with our antennas high, almighty Father, with our signals strong, almighty Father, to receive from the whispers of your Holy Spirit, even as as high.

Speaker 1:

Almighty father, with our signals strong, almighty father, to receive from the whispers of your holy spirit, even as he talks in us, almighty father, and as he speaks in us, almighty father, may we be bold enough, like Peter, to speak forth your message in our spheres of influence, because you're a faithful God and there's none like your mighty father.

Speaker 1:

Help us not to be careful in our speech, almighty Father. Teach us when to be silent, when to speak, when to guide and when to raise our voices, almighty God, because you are a faithful God and there is none like your mighty Father. May our words not go out in vain, almighty Father. May they bear fruit that last, because you are a faithful God and there's none like your mighty Father. We trust in you, for you have never failed us. You have never disappointed us. You have never disappointed us. You're too faithful to put shame on us, almighty Father. So God, be glorified and be magnified, for you alone are God and there's none like you and this. We pray in Jesus' name and God's people say come on, let's celebrate the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
