Speaker 1:

We want to read a scripture, a very brief scripture John, chapter 1, verse 11 to 12. Shall we stand as we just read this? The Bible says he came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. So let me read that again he came to that which was his own. He owned it, but his own did not receive him. Tell your neighbor, receive him. And then it says yet, to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become the children of God.

Speaker 1:

Father, we thank you for the reading today. Father, we thank you for the reading today and we thank you, lord, as we celebrate fathers, lord, as we celebrate the theme for the month and common reception, may you minister to us, to that man, to that father who came empty. There's nothing in him. And yet, lord, you came to your own people and to those who received you, who believed in you. You gave them something, you gave them the power to become. And so, lord, I pray for those watching online, those in the sanctuary, those who will watch this later. We pray a blessing upon all of us because we have prayed In Jesus' name. I'm going to say amen, amen, be seated. Be seated. I want to talk about uncommon reception activated. Uncommon reception activated.

Speaker 1:

By the way, the last two weeks that I have not been here, I've been here but we have had a very busy schedule. The first time I went to Mombasa went to Likoni. We had a meeting there with them, with the pastors in Likoni, and had a three-day conference actually two days and the third day I did a wedding. Hallelujah, one of the pastors who was actually the chair of that committee had been married for a long time but he had never wedded hallelujah, never wedded. We have been in Likoni for the last two years and so this was the third year and we are kind of mentoring the pastors and the churches that are down there and I believe that through the two years God was beginning to do something and shift something and change something. But the third year this pastor, who was the chair of that entire committee, felt it was time for him to actually solemnize his marriage and we were able to work things out. He was able to go to the AG's attorney general's place the Sharia House in Mombasa Attorney General's place, the Sharia House in Mombasa was able to actually get married and actually do that official ceremony in the AG's office and then when we came that Saturday we blessed the marriage.

Speaker 1:

It was an amazing day because that gentleman his background was SDA when he became a believer and started going to the churches that preach the gospel we don't say that SDA doesn't do that, hello but his parents kind of disowned him. His parents said that he has gone to the churches that worship on Sundays and the churches that worship on Sundays are completely lost, and so for years they had put him aside and said we don't know that man. But at this time, when he was now preparing to do this wedding, and that Saturday the parents traveled to Mombasa From all the way I think it was Huma Bay, when Liguri and the parents, the father and mother came. They had never come to Mombasa. This was their first time to come to Mombasa and it was an amazing testament because for them to even leave Migori and come all the way to Mombasa it was a testimony that they had seen something shift and change in their son's life for so many years. And I gave them an opportunity to say something, as I was about to just bless this couple and the father spoke and the mother spoke and you could just see that they had honoring their son for the God he served. And what a blessing to have done that wedding. It was a celebration, it was just a blessing.

Speaker 1:

And on that particular Saturday it rained, it rained. I Saturday, it rained, it rained. I'm saying it rained. I've never seen such rain in Mombasa. But I told God God, when I'm officiating or as I'm blessing them, please put a canopy over us. And at the moment when they started coming in, the rain stopped and we finished that. When we finished, the rain continued.

Speaker 1:

But I want you to know that that was an amazing moment in time and I want to encourage some of you in this church. You may have been married for now. You went and got your wife parents, nini, nanini, and for the last 15, 20 years you've not actually officiated your wedding, your marriage. I want you to know that we are ready to bless your marriage. I want you to know that we are ready to bless your marriage. I'm saying we are ready to bless your marriage. Now some of you are not clapping because you don't want people to realize. And you did not sin, by the way. You did not sin, you don't need to repent, you just need to repent, you just need to come so that we bless your marriage, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

And then last week we had what we call the Africa Conference. Paki was hosting I am the chair of the Kenyan chapter of Africa United Pastors Fellowship and so we were hosting the Africa Conference right here and we had people from different countries coming in. About eight countries came and we were just having an amazing time on Wednesday, thursday and Friday and what a blessing to just see the nations coming together, pastors coming together to receive the challenge that Africa must arise. I'm that Africa must arise. I'm saying Africa must arise and we talked about Africa. Arise and build, arise and unite, arise and go on mission. And those are the opportunities that God has given me recently to be able to just see some of these things happen, and for me to be in the service today is a blessing and to say thank you for praying for me.

Speaker 1:

Last week I was online when Pastor Keniti was challenging us. Thank you, jesus. Challenging us, and he challenged us and challenged us. And then yesterday he and challenged us and then yesterday he baptized 115 believers and I know that he was assisted. There were 33 men baptized One of the few 82 women, 82 women More than 10 in the youth were baptized. Four children under 15 years were baptized and two of our talking hands, beloved ones, were baptized. So, pastor Kennedy, I don't know where you are, but we, we thank. Yes, we thank God for you. But as fear, yes, continue eating a lot so that you can baptize more people. Yes, we thank God for you. Banas Few yes, continue eating a lot so that you can baptize more people. Banas Few, but we thank God for all the deacons and the others who assisted you in that process.

Speaker 1:

Tell your neighbor believe, receive, become, live, receive, become. You see this theme uncommon reception is not about weddings. There's no reception of a wedding. You have a wedding and you go for a reception. It is not having a celebration. This word reception came from the word receive. We are talking about uncommon reception, uncommon receiving. Tell your neighbor there is an uncommon receiving. Many of us really don't know how to receive, and God wants us to receive.

Speaker 1:

So let me read those verses John, chapter 1, 11 and 12, basically talking about Jesus coming. It says and he came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him Yet. To all who did receive him, to those who believed. And so it begins by believing, they believed, and when they believed, they received. When they received, they were given the power to become, and that's where God wants us to be. Many times, god has given us everything we need, but we don't receive.

Speaker 1:

Let me read this other verse in Acts, chapter 7, verse 7. Again, talking about prayer, and the Bible says this Did I say Acts? It's Matthew 7, 7. Sorry, matthew 7, 7. Sorry, matthew 7, 7 and 8. Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Nor can the door be opened to you.

Speaker 1:

Now look at the next verse, for everyone who asks must do what Must receive. The one who seeks will actually do what Must receive. The one who seeks will actually do what Find, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Now, usually we don't, we don't memorize this verse very well, because we say ask and you will receive. It doesn't say that. It doesn't say ask and you shall receive. It says ask. Say that. It doesn't say ask and you shall receive. It says ask and it shall be given to you. Then it says for he who asks because it was given shall do what, receive what he has been given.

Speaker 1:

The reason why there are still many, many people who have never given their lives to Christ, even though Jesus died 2,000 years ago and salvation has been given. There are still many people, though salvation has been given, they have not done what they have not received. Because the word receive is a very active word. Tell your neighbor, amen, receive is very active. Receive is not just that saying okay, give me no. Receiving is going to a buffet and finding that everything has been provided for. So it is up to you to begin to pick and take what you want. God has put a buffet for you. I came that you may have life and have it abundantly. Now, take it. Take it, hallelujah, hallelujah, take it, hallelujah, take it.

Speaker 1:

The illustration that always comes to my mind is those days before Ugali started being cut into pieces. Ugali is cut into pieces and people pick the pieces and they eat the pieces. Before those days was a time when Ugali was put in a sufuriya and cut it from a sufuriya and put upside down on a plate Hallelujah. And then the sufuriya was put aside and the Ugali is smoking and there's a stew, not a lot, but the ugali is humongous. The father in that house would come and lift his five-fold ministry and tell God, help me to move the mountain. Then, with the first five-fold ministry, he would come and land on the Ugali Kapa.

Speaker 1:

Now that is what we call receive. Hallelujah, it is active. He received the ugali, lifted the ugali up, did something like this and put a hole in it and, before you knew it, the mountain was moved. God has put the ugali of many provisions before us and he says now, lift up your hand and take that which belongs to you. Don't wait for it to be cut and for it to be put in your plate. Receive and, after the part you received has disappeared, receive more and receive more and receive more.

Speaker 1:

God, the Bible says the eyes of the Lord go to and fro in the earth of the Lord go to and fro in the earth looking for a man that he may show himself mighty on their behalf. The amazing thing is that he rarely finds the man. And it is my prayer that during this month, as we talk about reception and receiving, that God will cause you to arise and take your portion. Take your portion, tell your neighbor, take your portion. But in taking your portion, there are three attitudes that a man needs to have. A father needs to have you need to have as a mother, as a child. You need to have three attitudes and I want to bring them before you, even as we celebrate fathers today. Number one attitude God is looking for a man after God's own heart. Number two a man who does not falter. Number three a man who works the works. Let me repeat that again A man after God's own heart, a man who does not falter, a man who works the works. And as we talk about fathers today, we are saying we're looking for a father after God's own heart, a father who does not falter, a father who works the works. But all these apply to all of us.

Speaker 1:

So let me start with the first one very quickly A man after God's own heart. This is a man who believes in God's majesty. And I want to read that verse in Acts 13, 22, because it talks about David. The Bible says after removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him. I have found David, son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do. A man after God's own heart. This is the kind of man that will receive whatever God has given to them. And, by the way, when God was talking about David, he was comparing David with King Saul, because King Saul did not follow instructions. King Saul, though he was a king, his heart was not for God. He did not seek God with all his heart. He was always falling short of the instructions that God gave him through Samuel. And then God comes and testifies and says I'm going to remove Saul because I have found a man after my own heart. David was a man who did not testify about himself. God testified about him. So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor does God have your testimony him? So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor does God have your testimony? That's amazing, because if you read the book of 1 Samuel, chapter 15 and going on, and chapter 16, you'll find that God said those words to Samuel before even David knew he was chosen. David had no idea. But David is in the backside of life and God is seeing a man after his own heart.

Speaker 1:

No wonder David would write a psalm, psalms 27. Let me read it from verse 1 to verse 4. This man searched for God. This man was looking for God. The Bible says this Psalms 27. 2-7.

Speaker 1:

An amazing psalm. He says the Lord. Now he's saying this the Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid when the wicked advance against me to devour me? It is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear Though war break out against me. Even then, I will be confident. Now listen to verse 4. One thing I ask from the Lord. This only do I seek that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

Speaker 1:

A man who believes in the majesty of God, not when he is in church, but on Monday, behind his desk, on Tuesday when he is in his business. On Wednesday when he is in his business on Wednesday when he's in the social setting of life. On Thursday when he's in hospital with a child who is sick, on Friday when he's celebrating a birthday, on Saturday when he's attending a wedding. But his heart is searching the majesty of God. God is majestic, he's awesome and he's living. And God is looking for men who can believe in his majesty. Tell your neighbor, god wants you to believe him. Amen.

Speaker 1:

Another Psalm, psalms 103. David, after searching God, looking for his majesty. He then says something like this Psalm 103, verse 1 to 5. This is the verse you know. And something like this Psalm 103, verse 1 to 5. This is a verse you know, and it says this Praise the Lord, my soul, all my inmost being. Praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits Guess what? Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

Speaker 1:

Then he goes on let's keep going. He says the Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses. Is this the people of Israel? The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever. He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us as a father? Hallelujah, that's God. God is a father. As a father has compassion on his children, so the lord has compassion on those who fear him. He knows how we are formed. He remembers that we are dust a father. So david got to know this amazing father and, by the way, david grew up in a family that the father was not very interested in him.

Speaker 1:

And so when Jesse came looking for the one to anoint, they bring the firstborn, eliab. Eliab comes in, a mighty guy. He goes to the gym every day. Hello, he has the the gym every day. Hello, he has the body like Alex Barton, but he's just. He meets this man and the spirit says uh-uh, not him. He goes to another guy. He says not this one. Then the third born, shama. He says not Shama. And he goes to seven people and the Holy Spirit says none of this. Then Samuel says don't you have another son?

Speaker 1:

That's when the father remembers ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, there's a cowboy. I'm telling you, all the cowboys are about to be promoted In Jesus' name. Maybe you're the last born in your house, maybe you're one person who is not even regarded, maybe you're nothing in life. But I'm telling you you're about to come from the backside to the front side of life. So they go call David. David has no idea of the agenda, he has no, nothing, he doesn't know what is happening. The father did not think about him, but this cowboy thought about the heavenly father, and no wonder God says that's a man. After my own heart. I'm going to make this guy the king. He may not have enough education, he may not have much in life, but he has much of me.

Speaker 1:

This is my prayer that if we have that kind of attitude, we'll be able to believe and receive and become what God wants us to be. Hallelujah. I'm telling you, never give up on you, never give up on yourself, never, never, never give up on yourself. And I think in the seasons that we're in, the man has been beaten up and beaten up, and beaten up and about to die. But I'm saying today, the men in this house are the pillars that God is building his house on. Let me say that one more time the men in this house are the pillars that God is building his house on and God is searching for you. But God is saying what attitude do you have? What attitude do you have In your house?

Speaker 1:

It is your wife who prays for everything Prays for food, prays for children, prays for the watchman, hallelujah, praise, praise, praise. And you never open your mouth because you think you cannot pray like her. When she prays, she prays and cries Jehovah Mwadani Before she goes to another center. You, as a man, you say I am not going to pray like that, I am not going to be found praying like that and I'm not going to cry, and so you never pray. So your wife prays, the children pray. You never pray because you do not want them to see your weakness. Let me tell you this you're not weak. God is just saying come and run after my heart and pray just like you. Don't pray like your wife. Your wife attends prayer meetings the whole week. You are at work, Hello, and so just pray like you, pray like you and just start saying God, you know God, you know I'm not my wife, and so what I'm just going to say is this we had a good day. My boss was not very nice, but I'm glad to be home. Thanks for mama, thanks for the children, and all glory goes back to you. Amen, that's it. Don't even add hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, god doesn't care about. Add hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, god doesn't care about the hallelujahs.

Speaker 1:

Hello, am I talking to a man? Huh? God sought for a man that he may show himself mighty on his behalf, and God found David, a man after his own heart. Let me tell you this David was not perfect, and you know the story of David. You know his gymnastics, hello. You know his waywardness and how he did this and he did that. Let me tell you this David loved many women, hello, hello. He was given one by Saul. Then he saw another lady, abigail. Hello. Then he saw another lady, abigail, abigail. Hello.

Speaker 1:

You know, one time I was driving down Valley Road and I'm driving with Martha Sitting there. So I'm driving down Valley Road and then I saw a creation of the Lord and I acted as if I had not seen the creation of the Lord, and I acted as if I had not seen the creation of the Lord across the road. And as I passed, I now started looking through the rear mirror and Martha said boom, what are you doing? I'm celebrating what God has created. Ay, ay, ay.

Speaker 1:

God is not looking for perfect men, he's not looking for intelligent men, he's not looking for men who have accomplished everything. He's looking for men who can break down before him and be able to say things like the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he restores my soul. He makes me walk in paths of righteousness for his name's sake, and though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I'll fear no evil, for thou art with me, hello. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And, lord, even when I stumble, I will fall. When I will sin, I will arise and repent, and, god, I'll keep running after you.

Speaker 1:

Those are the men that God is looking for. Those are the men that God uses, men like Peter, who denied Jesus three times. I don't know that guy, simjui, simjui, simjui times. I don't know that guy seem, do we seem, do we? Then he went somewhere else and said I don't know him. And Jesus later caught up with him and said Simon, son of John, do you love me? And someone said Lord, you know I love you. Then said again Simon, son of John, do you really love me more than this? Simon said Lord, you know that I love you. Then he repeated one more time Simon, son of John, do you really love me? And Peter said Lord, you know that I love you. And that's the gentleman on the day of Pentecost who stood up and spoke and 3,000 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ. These are the men that God is looking for. This is the man that God is looking, a man after God's own heart, hallelujah. That's the attitude of a man who believes, receives and becomes, but very quickly. There's another attitude a man who does not falter. Tell your neighbor a man who does not falter. Tell your neighbor a man who does not falter. This is Abraham.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says in Romans, chapter 4, verse 20 and 21, a very interesting scripture. Here it says this this Abraham. Yet he did not waver, he did not falter through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. And the Bible says this is why it was credited to him as what His righteousness. Let me tell you this like I shared some time ago, abraham took a long time to catch up with God's agenda of things. Took him about 24 years. Sometimes he would catch, sometimes he would not catch, but then there came a time that Abraham said this God has been so faithful to me. Whatever he says, I will believe it.

Speaker 1:

A man who does not waver or falter concerning the promises of God, he believed God's promise. He believed God's promise. He believed God's declaration. There was one time he doubted a bit. So let me read that verse Genesis 15, verse 106. And I remember sharing that some time back. This was Abraham.

Speaker 1:

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abraham in a vision Do not be afraid, abraham. I not be afraid, abraham. I am your shield, your very great reward. So let me say that one more time I am your shield. You see, sometimes God gives us a revelation and the revelation is not information. He's not giving us information. When he gives us a revelation of himself, it's because he's about to do something in your life and he wants you to catch that revelation because the next thing that are going to happen in your life need that revelation. They need that word. So when you come to Sunday to a service like this and God is speaking to you, it's because there are things that are going to happen to you this coming week that need this revelation to prepare you to handle those things that you're going to you this coming week, that need this revelation To prepare you to handle those things that you are going to face in the week.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, the Father. So God says something and he wants Abraham to catch it. So he says Abraham, I am your shield, your very great reward. The next sentence starts with what? But God has given a revelation and Abraham begins to become a knowing Noah, a knowing Noah, unknowing Noah Mjuaji. He says. But Abraham said, sovereign Lord, what can you give me, since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is a liaison of Damascus. And God is saying but I'm your reward. He says but you haven't given me anything. Let me tell you this God has laid a table before us and he's going to do what he said he will do, and God is looking for a man who can believe God's promise and not waver. Let me tell you why Abraham had a challenge in this wavering thing here it was about. He has not given much challenge. Later, god begins to give him guidance and help him.

Speaker 1:

But in Romans, chapter 4, the Bible says this, if I can pick it up from verse. It says I have made a power of many nations, I have made a father of many nations. He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed, the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. Then he says, against all hope Abraham in hope believed God not. Then he says, against all hope Abraham in hope believed God. Now, at this time, abraham was about a hundred. By that time. He could not. He had no ability to make a child. Sarah had no ability, at 90, to give a child. So their hope had gone. Kwee Shayanisime shiapu Hello. But then he says, against all hope Abraham in hope. In that hopelessness, abraham did what Believed, and in his believing he became the father of many nations. Just as it is written, it has been said to him so shall your offspring be, verse 19,.

Speaker 1:

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead. So, ladies and gentlemen, facts are facts, never deny a fact. God does not deal with facts, he's not challenged by facts. Right now you don't have a job. It's a fact, and it doesn't seem there's going to be a job in the near future. That is a fact. But let me tell you this he doesn't wait on facts. He does what he says he will do. God is not a man that he should lie. So, without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead, since he was about 100 years old, and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief. Unbelief is when you begin to say God will not do what he said he will do. But I want to tell you this God will do what he said he will do. Facts may say everything else opposite completely but rely on this God who says don't falter. You may doubt, but don't falter in your faith. Right now, businesses are a big challenge and sometimes people are beginning to even sell their businesses so that they can do something else.

Speaker 1:

But I want you to know that there comes a time when there is famine in the land, but God is saying I will still bless you. Tell your neighbor, god will still bless you. Tell your neighbor, god will still bless you. The Bible says in Genesis 26,. Because there was a famine in the land and Isaac was beginning to feel like Abraham in his time. Genesis 26, verse 1,. Very quickly Now, there was a famine in the land Beside the previous famine in Abraham's time and Isaac went to Abimelech, king of the Philistines, in Gerah.

Speaker 1:

He was looking for an investor. Tell your neighbor amen, hallelujah, looking for an investor. Things are not working. Let me ask you do you think God knows that things are not working? Yes, and he knows that he'll work it out. The Lord appeared to Isaac and said do not go down to Egypt. Live in the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, come on, be patient and I will be with you and will bless you. For guess what? To you and your descendants I will give these lands and will confirm the oath I saw to your father, abraham.

Speaker 1:

Fast forward, verse 12. The Bible says in verse 12, isaac planted crops in that land and the same year, the same year, the same year, 2025, the same year Things are bad now, but the same year he reaped a hundredfold. Why? The Lord blessed them. The Lord blessed them. I'm releasing that blessing to you right now in Jesus' name. The Lord did what? Blessed them. And guess what? Look at the next verse.

Speaker 1:

When the Lord blessed him, the man became rich and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him. It is not over until God says it is over. Hallelujah, it's not over. And so God is looking for a man who will not falter or waver concerning the promise he made. Did God make a promise to you at the beginning of the year or last year? Let me tell you this Keep holding on to that. Keep holding on to that. Things may be bad, that's okay, but God is God. He can turn a situation in 24 hours. I'm saying he can turn a situation in 24 hours. I'm talking to the men in this house and I'm saying don't waver, amen, don't waver. I Don't waver. I'm talking to the women in this church. Don't waver, concerning what God has promised you. But let me tie it up with this last part.

Speaker 1:

A man who works the works. A man who works In fact, if we could just stop there. A man who does what Works, tell your neighbor a man who works, in fact. If we could just stop there. A man who does what Works, tell your neighbor a man who works. And working does not mean sitting on your couch and watching Champions League. Hello, a man who does what Works. But let me show you what that work means John, chapter 6. Verse 28.

Speaker 1:

Then they asked him what must we do to do the works God requires? Jesus answered the work of God is this. Now look at that statement. The work of God is this To do what? To believe in the one he has sent. Your work is to believe. Tell your neighbor, believe. When you believe, things get activated in your life. That is your work.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says in John 14, verse 12 Jesus said something that was interesting. He said very truly I tell you, whoever does what Believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than this because I'm going to the Father. Let me read another verse Mark 9, 23. Again, jesus was dealing with a father who was very challenged. If you can take that to around verse 20, if you can just go back to verse 20 there, then I can pick it up to where it is now. The Bible says there was a man who had a father, who had a child. So take it back around verse 18, because we want to see the whole sentence. Again, verse 17, because I need to that sentence to start. Okay.

Speaker 1:

A man in the crowd answered Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground, he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not. Then Jesus says what you unbelieving generation, this is what has made you stuck. Jesus replied how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me. So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. Jesus asked the boy's father how long has he been like this? And the father said from childhood. I've been looking at this boy all my life and you know when a father sees that all his life, his faith disappears and he reaches a stage where he says this will never change. It has often thrown him into the fire or water to kill him.

Speaker 1:

But if you can do anything, now listen to what he says. If you can do anything, jesus, if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us. Then Jesus says what did you just say? You said if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us. Then Jesus says what did you just say? You said if you can? Did you just say if you can, daddy, did you just say if you can, then you're blaming me. If I do it and don't do it, you're blaming me. And if you can, jesus said listen, daddy, everything is possible for one who believes. It is you that God is waiting to believe. It is you. It is you. It is you that God wants you to believe. When you believe, all things become possible. All things become possible.

Speaker 1:

You know, one time there was a gentleman, there was a family I used to visit. They used to stay around Chiromo and when I arrived there, I was those days when I would. I had just gotten out of my father's house and went to look for my own house. So I had an SQ. Tell your neighbor SQ. I don't know what they call them these days, but it was a kawan room Studio. Okay, I thought studio is where you make music, so words have changed there. Studio. That family was an amazing family. There was a father and she had two very nice daughters Too little to girls, too little to nice, too chubby girls, and sometimes I would sit with those girls, I would visit the family, and all that.

Speaker 1:

Very soon I realized there was a problem in the house. This gentleman is a lawyer, married to a lawyer, thank you Jesus, and I found the man was not very happy. But as time went on I found out from the wife that he was not happy because he had two daughters. But as a man in his culture, they were beginning to push him and tell him Bana, we need a bull in the house, we need a man in the house, we need a man in the house. So the man said I just have two daughters. But he was beginning to get upset. Then the wife got pregnant and the man says now I have a son, I have a son, I have a son, I have a son. Guess what? It was a girl. You know how sometimes you get a son and the father says it is a son, and then suddenly it is, it is a girl, but there were two nice girls. So he said no problem, he will wait on the Lord.

Speaker 1:

Then the wife got pregnant again. What he didn't realize that the miracle was not in the girls. The miracle is that the wife got pregnant, got pregnant, but this time he told the wife if this child is a girl, you and the rest of your children will leave this house. And I want you to know this child who was born was a girl. And he chased everybody out of that house. The mother went out with those girls and they were nice girls, I'm telling you, nice girls. And for years, years, these girls grew. Of course, he took care of the girls. They went to school, went to secondary school, they went to the university. One of the girls graduated I don't know if she became a lawyer or what, I don't remember and they were separated for many years.

Speaker 1:

But there was this lady. She just kept believing and saying God, one day we shall come back together. She just believed. The issue was not that the man was bad to her, she was violent to her. It's just. The problem was what? The girls? Because in some places in Western Kenya you walk around saying I have a son. Thank you, jesus, I have a son. You know, I usually say if you don't have daughters, where will the men have wives? Get as many daughters so that our sons can get wives. But you know, she just believed. It was last year she sent me a call. She says, pastor, guess what? I'm getting remarried to my husband. I'm not saying that. That's how always things happen. Sometimes they don't happen like that, but for this particular lady they actually got remarried and the children were there. She was there, she wanted me to come, but on that particular day I think that was last year, when I was unwell, I couldn't just go. But I said I'll pray for you. But I can tell you, this lady just believed and waited on the Lord and what she believed for became a reality.

Speaker 1:

Some of you have many testimonies of believing and you have seen God come through. So look at your neighbor, tell your neighbor. The pastor is about to finish the message, but before he finishes he's asking you to believe, to believe God. So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor I'm going to believe God. So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor I'm going to believe God.

Speaker 1:

Pastor Simon was preaching the other day and he said this year, this month, you're going to receive, by the way, pastor Simon, Alifika Canada. Reach safely, come on. Let's appreciate God for that. He reached safely with the daughter, precious Alifika Vizuri. And then Pastor Susan, also Alifika Canada. I'm saying Pastor Susan, alifika Canada, because she's also going for that graduation. It's happening on the 18th of this month. I think that's coming this coming week and Pastor Simon told me to just give you the greetings. He may be watching online. If you're watching online, pastor Simon, we celebrate, you, celebrate Becky and your children. Pastor Susan, have a wonderful time and if you're eating any cake, eat it on my behalf and if you can, carry someone in your bag, thank you Jesus. I don't care if it is stale, but just bring it. Tell your neighbor. Believe, please, stand on your feet.

Speaker 1:

Three attitudes A man after God's own heart. Number two a man who does not falter concerning what God has promised. Number three a man who works the works. The word works, not works, works the works. The number two works is miracles, god's amazing works, but they happen when a man believes, believes, believes, hallelujah. Man believes. Praise the Lord.

Speaker 1:

And there's a man in this place I don't know where you are. There's a man. Either your name is Ezekiel or Hezekiah. There's a man. That man has been struggling to believe Too many things Rotating around your life as a man. That man has been struggling to believe Too many things rotating around your life, but God is saying to you today is your turning point. Today is your turning point. Ezekiel or Hezekiah, if you're here, I want to pray for you, a man after God's own heart. If you're here, just start walking to me, because I want to pray for you, a man after God's own heart, and for us in the service. God is also saying your heart should be after him, run after him. You shall seek him and you shall find him when you seek him with all your heart. You may be online and I'm still going to pray for you Because I know there's a shift that is about to take place in your life. Tell your neighbor, there's a shift. Tell your neighbor.

Speaker 1:

This month is the month of uncommon reception and that reception is about to be activated. God is good. If you're standing next to a man, tell that man. You're precious in the sight of the Lord. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Learn to receive from God. We've been announcing about this book Inspiring Leaders for effective service. It is my prayer as fathers, as leaders. This copy Will be very helpful to you as you serve effectively In whatever capacity God has given to you.

Speaker 1:

Father, in the name of Jesus, just pray, wherever you are, for the fathers men. Pray For the ladies. Pray for the men in the house. Pray for the fathers in the house that they will be men after God's own heart. They'll be men who do not falter. They'll be men who work the works of God. They will believe and in their believing they will shift the culture, they will shift the atmosphere of where they live, where they stand.

Speaker 1:

My God, we worship you and we thank you. We celebrate the men in the house today. They are pillars that you want to build your house on. Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. So, father, we thank you. Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. So, father, we thank you. Yeah, just keep praying and just begin also to thank God for the families that these men come from. Doesn't matter what has happened in those homes, but just thank God for these families that these men come from and thank God for yourself that you're also a person after God's own heart, that you're a person who does not falter concerning the promise of God, that you are a person who does not falter concerning the promise of God, that you are a person who believes and works the works of God. Father, thank you for this Father's Day.

Speaker 1:

What a blessing to be in God's house to receive your word and, dear Lord, I pray that in Jesus' name, we shall take that which you have possessed for us. We shall take it with all the faith that we have. Our doors have already opened. May we go through them. The opportunities are already before us. May we seize them.

Speaker 1:

Dear Lord, may we be like David, who said said one thing have I asked of the Lord that will I seek? After that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. Thank you for hearing our prayer, lord. We bless you and we honor you. We thank you for the report of more than a hundred people who were baptized yesterday and we want to bless them. Some of them are here with us. We want to celebrate them and we want to just say thank you. Dear Lord, in a moment we shall be leaving this place. May your grace abound upon each one of us Because we have prayed in Jesus' name and God's people say come on, let's give God a big hand. Thank you.
