Parklands Baptist Church's Podcast
2025-07-02_Wednesday Service;Impartation Of Uncommon MindShift : By PBC Dcn Edwin Isoe, Parklands Baptist Church.
What does it really mean to have your mind renewed? In this transformative message from Romans 12:1-3, we explore the profound concept of uncommon mind shift and spirit-led discernment.
Many of us struggle with questions about our purpose and value. We wonder if we're mistakes, blaming family circumstances or cruel words spoken over us for our current situations. But God's Word offers a radical perspective: you are not a mistake. The all-knowing, all-wise Creator had a perfect purpose in bringing you into existence. He doesn't operate on "Plan B" when things go wrong—He knew exactly what you would face before you were born.
God created humans for relationship—to know Him, worship Him, and enjoy fellowship with Him forever. This mirrors our human desire for connection; we all long to be understood and loved as we are. When sin disrupted this design, God already had the solution planned through Christ. Understanding this mercy transforms our entire approach to life and worship.
Unlike religious systems where people work to reach God, Christianity is unique: God has done the work of atonement for His people. True worship isn't limited to Sunday services; it encompasses your entire existence. When you present your body as a living sacrifice, your thoughts, words, actions, and relationships become acts of worship. No more separation between "church time" and "your time"—it all belongs to God.
Biblical thinking produces sacrificial living. Through practical examples of honesty in the workplace and wisdom in relationships, we see how spirit-led discernment leads to blessing and protection. Even in suffering, we can experience supernatural peace knowing that God is working to develop perseverance, character, and unshakable hope in us.
If you're feeling troubled in your business, relationships, or personal life, God wants to bring you to a place of rest this month. Allow Him to manifest Himself more fully in your circumstances by developing spiritual sensitivity to His voice. Your transformation begins with a mind renewed by meditation on His incredible mercy.

Romans, chapter 12, verse 1 to 3. The Bible says Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters sorry, let us stand in honor of God's word, even as we read the scripture. It's all about him, it's his word, his living word. Romans, chapter 12, verse 1,. The Bible says therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship. This is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is His good, pleasing and perfect will. Let's pray, dear loving Father. It's all about you that you are here, dear Lord, just sharing your living word. Almighty Father, I ask that you shall be the ultimate teacher. Dear Spirit of God, today, even as we look into this uncommon mind shift, spirit led discernment, your people desire to discern you, that you are there to discern everything, to discern your voice. There are many voices nowadays, but, lord, we want to always hear. You Take charge, almighty Father, in Jesus, mighty name, we pray and believe. Amen. It's a new month, the seventh month. You all know what seven means. Seven is the number of God. It symbolizes Completion, completion On day seven, the Lord rested. So it's the month that you are going to rest when you are walking with the Lord. It's the month that he will put you in a resting place. You know you've been troubled by many things, but this month I pray that all of us. It's a time for God to keep you at rest. You've been struggling in business, economically and so on, but it's a month that God is going to bring you to rest. Is that your desire? And come on, Mind shift, spirit-led discernment, uncommon mind shift, spirit led discernment. Do you discern that? Do you discern it or do you still have that fear? Don't worry, it's a new month, a month that God wants to complete you in Jesus mighty name. He's well able to do it. Isn't it A month that God wants to complete you In Jesus' mighty name? He's well able to do it, isn't it?
Speaker 1:I title my message Impartation of Uncommon Mindshift and we are going to dwell on those two scriptures. They are two very powerful scriptures and we cannot go ahead while not thinking about why did God create everything? Why did God create you and me? Why did God create the trees and the plants and all creation? Why did God create the animals? Why did God create the fishes which are in the sea? Why did God create the fishes which are in the sea? Why did God create the earth? Why did God create all this? And yet there is trouble which is troubling us All. The time we are crying, a little happiness, a little crying comes. You go up, you have to go down, but even when you are down, king David says even though I walk through the valley of shadow of death, I'll fear no evil. Why did God create us?
Speaker 1:Do you sometimes feel as if you are a mistake? Are you a mistake? Maybe our parents did not? It was a mistake for our parents to bore us? It was a mistake for our parents to give us life.
Speaker 1:I used to complain. Why was I created? That's why all this is happening to me. You know, all this is happening to me because of my family. All this is happening to me because of my great-grandparents. All this is happening to me because there is someone who spoke something in my life and my life was ruined. Is there someone you are blaming for the position that you are now and you go back to God and you say that, lord, really, I'm tired, I don't want to live anymore. We've had young people taking away their lives. Why? Because there is no hope left, there is no reason to live. Why is this happening? Why is this happening?
Speaker 1:The perfect, wise God, he's an omniscient God, all-knowing, all-wise God had a purpose for creating everything that he created. He did have a purpose. He had a purpose for creating you. You are not a mistake. That's one of the mindships and common mindships that God wants you to have. It does not matter how you came into the world. It does not matter, even if you are told that you are a mistake. God had his always. He does not sit somewhere in heaven and say that, oops, okay, plan B. They don't talk in heaven with the angels. You know, angel Gabriel, what happened now? I think, what will happen to her now? What will happen to him now? Is there any other plan that you have for their life? Because their life is messed up? The Word of God tells us that he is a perfect God. Nothing comes by mistake. Did you know that God already knew what happened to you? Did you know that God already knew that you will exist? I believe that's why you and me. We are alive. Today. God is reminding us. You know what? I'm not done with you yet. I'm not done with you yet. I gave you life. Now I haven't taken it back.
Speaker 1:If he was to be done with our lives, we were not to be alive, isn't it? He created people to know him, to worship him and enjoy with him forever Fellowship and communion. God created us to have fellowship with him. God created us to know him, to have communion with him and to worship him. Look at our human relations. We always long to have someone who will understand us. We always long to have someone who will understand us. We always long to have someone who will love us as we are. And the person who loves you as you are becomes your best friend, isn't it? We want to be loved, we want to relate with someone. That's exactly what God wants. That's exactly why God created us so that we can love him. He can love us. We can have fellowship with him. So God intended for us to know him and enjoy him and worship him. And then we know in the Bible it's written Immediately God created what was supposed to know him, what was supposed to worship him, what was supposed to enjoy together forever. Sin showed up. Now when sin showed up, now when sin showed up, things changed, problems came, and those are the problems that we are dealing now Sin, sin, life without God.
Speaker 1:Where sin can get people to Good relationship begin, sin creeps in. It destroys the relationship. The Bible says the enemy he comes to kill, to steal, to destroy. That's what he's best at doing. To steal your joy, to kill your future, your destiny, to destroy your relationship and people who will help you to walk in that destiny path. That is sin and that's what sin does in any relationship.
Speaker 1:Romans, chapter 3, verse 23,. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. So we need impartation of an uncommon mind shift and I have two points to share with you. Number one is meditation on God's mercy. Number two is true worship. All that is based on Romans, chapter 12, verse 1 and 2. Meditation on God's mercy and true worship verse 1 and 2. Meditation on God's mercy and true worship, despite all have seen and fallen short of the glory. But there is good news At the right time, god mercifully came in person of Christ into the world to redeem and restore that broken relationship.
Speaker 1:So the full story of God and creation. What is this full story of God and his creation? Why did he have to create everything that he created? God created everything good to have fellowship with his creator. Sin came in To disrupt the good plan, but, as our senior pastor always says, mungo ni nani Alikuwa na plan. God already had a plan. It did not come by mistake. It did not come that.
Speaker 1:Oh, what happened to? What's wrong with this Satan? That is my snake. I created that snake. Why is he using it? I'm a Sunday school teacher, so sometimes we put ourselves there so that we can understand the truth of God. Put yourself in God's shoe. You have created man and the wife. You have told them to name everything and then come to Kanatokalezea. Instead of making his own means of communicating, he uses God's creation. Why? Because he's counterfeit. God is all-powerful. It's God who created. The enemy is not the creator. The enemy comes to destroy because he wants to be God.
Speaker 1:You know the story of Satan, but that's not what we are going to dwell today, this plan that God has while you are still existing today. God is aware and this is the message today that he wants to share with us. He had a plan to restore that relationship. In other words, he's saying that you do whatever you want to do, but I know what I'm going to do. Do you desire that restoration? Do you desire your life to be restored back to how God intended it to be? The choice is yours.
Speaker 1:God is a gentle man. He never forces us. Man creates a robot so that he can control it. The robot cannot live without man. But God is a relationship God. He wants you to choose. He shows you what is truth and then he leaves the choice to you. That's what a good friend does, isn't it In our relationship? God helps us through our relationship so that you can understand his relationship with us.
Speaker 1:Yes, we cannot see God. God seems so far away, but just look at our relationships. You want someone to love, and someone who will love you, someone who will accept you as you are, becomes a person that will entrust your life to. But because of sin, sometimes we do a mistake. The people we think that we love so much. They hurt us dearly. Then you have to look for this God, but you don't have to look for him when trouble has come. That's why he's here, he's existing. That's why you're still alive, that's why he wants to come and help you.
Speaker 1:Have this uncommon mind shift. We need to shift our minds from all these things that we are used to for in order to have that transformation, we need that impartation of uncommon mind shift, otherwise sin will continue to deprave and continue to degrade man. We need that impartation of uncommon mind shift, otherwise sin will continue to deprave and continue to degrade man. How can we position our minds to align ourselves with God's destiny? The verse that you have just read, romans, chapter 12, verse 1 and 2. It goes along, but we'll dwell on those two verses.
Speaker 1:We see Paul challenging believers to think biblically, to live sacrificially. Think biblically, live sacrificially. We don't have any book to know this God, have any book to know this God. We only have one book called the Bible. It's the only book which talks with authority. It's the only book where there is someone who says that I am the way, the truth and the life. No one will see the Father but by me, but through me. It's the only word that will tell us where we are coming from and where we are going. It's the only word that will help us not to be confused, especially now in the last days. So Paul tells the Romans. Therefore, he starts with a therefore, god seems silent to the lost world.
Speaker 1:People are looking for God at wrong places, but God already did what everyone thinks that they need to do in order to get God. Isn't it interesting? Everyone knows that there is God somewhere and they are looking for a means in order to reach that God, in order to please Him. Yeah, they sacrifice their lives so that God can see them and can say that. Ah, yes, they do pilgrimage. They walk from here until I don't know where. I've been in a country where they go and dip themselves inside a certain holy river Once in a year, or once in a month so that they can please God, or once in a month so that they can please God. People are looking for this God, and yet God already finished to be looked for. He actually is the one who came to mankind, but people are still lost, looking for this God, and yet this God is looking for them. We also have Christians who are still looking for God and they haven't found him. The ones with a Christian religion I know no one here or no one online who is listening to me is in that category, because it's sad to be a Christian and yet we are still looking for God.
Speaker 1:Yeah, if you are here and you don't know, you are not sure that you are born again. There are some people you tell them that. Do you know that you are born again? Yeah, so are you super spiritual than me? How can you know that you are going to heaven? Only God knows. I just hope that I reach heaven. But if God is alive, he wants you to know your friend. If you are walking with your friend, your friend wants to know your plans. You want your friend to know your plans and that's why he or she is your friend and that's why you even got married to this person, because everywhere that they are, you need to know. Anything that they are planning. You need to know, and that's what best friend does, isn't it? So God wants you to be his friend, and that's what best friend does, isn't it? So God wants you to be his friend. He wants you to know that you know that you are saved. He wants you to know that you are in this category, where you know where you are heading, where your destiny is.
Speaker 1:There is a certain kabook here. As I was preparing this message I came across. I wrote it a long time ago, I don't know where I got this from. It says this no man can see God and live as man. Men could touch, see, hear the voice of the invisible God through Christ. Because he had lowered himself to be like man, god revealed himself through Jesus. Then Christ was glorified and arose and ascended to heaven. Now God reveals himself today through Christians who have put their faith in Jesus. When he comes the second time to be seen visibly by everyone, it will be the end of grace. God is spirit.
Speaker 1:People wanted to know God, to see God.
Speaker 1:He came in the person of Jesus Christ. They did not understand. He came in the person of Jesus Christ. They did not understand. Actually, the people who claimed that they knew the word of God, they are the ones who crucified him. But he was crucified, he died, he rose again and then he ascended to heaven.
Speaker 1:And now people are still looking for God. And yet God now is living in Christians, those people who have accepted the Lord Jesus to be a personal Savior. So now the Lord Jesus lives in them. So everyone who is looking for God, when he sees a child of God needs to see God, but now, when he comes in person, when he shall come, come, that will be the end of grace. Now God seems very silent, but the people of God knows that God is not silent because you have a relationship with him. He talks with you, you walk with him, he gives you blessings. He is not silent, he is very alive in our lives. But when he appears, that will be the end of grace. You can imagine the position that you are in, and that's where this verse comes in.
Speaker 1:Paul encourages us to give ourselves, to sacrifice ourselves, not to sacrifice ourselves, to give our lives as a sacrifice, and we are going to know more about that. You and I therefore need to be transformed, having spirit-led discernment when imparted with the uncommon mind shift. We have the God Spirit, the Holy Spirit, who directs us. My first point meditation on God's mercy. God's mercy transforms our lives. Verse 1 of chapter 12 says in view of God's mercy. Now, therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, in view of God's mercy, what is this God's mercy? Just a snapshot of man's position without God. Romans, chapter 1, from verse 18. Romans, chapter 1, from verse 18,.
Speaker 1:What does the Bible say, the wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Go on. Have been clearly seen being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him. But their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Let's go on.
Speaker 1:Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools Very strong language there and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images you can imagine, made to look like a mortal human being, and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore, god gave them over, in the sinful desires of their hearts, to sexual impurity for the degrading of the bodies. With one another, they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator, who is forever praised, amen. Because of this, god gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God. So God gave them over to a depraved mind. To a depraved mind so that they do what ought not to be done.
Speaker 1:They have been filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, god-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful. They invent ways of doing evil. They disobey their parents. They have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy, although they knew. God's righteousness decree that those who do such.
Speaker 1:Have you ever read that verse? That's where sin can take a man without God. That's where sin is taking man A portion there in your life. I'm in the children ministry and we see these things LGBT and all those things. You know the mind of man without God, improvising ways away from godliness or what God created to be. In some schools in the US they say that you know what you feel like a lady. I think you are trapped in a body of a man, so there is something you can do about it, and they call it surgery. In other words, you are telling God that, god, you did a mistake. You trapped me in a body of a man and yet I'm supposed to be a woman. Can you imagine? Now that is a snapshot of man's position without God.
Speaker 1:Now let's see God's solution for man Romans, chapter 3, verse 21 to 31. Chapter 3, verse 21 to 31. But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the law and the prophets testify. The righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness because in his forbearance, he had left the sins committed beforehand and punished. He did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, the law that requires faith. We cannot do anything about it. We cannot do anything about the sin, and that's why Jesus had to die on the cross.
Speaker 1:You can imagine how Jesus already finished that work. And yet people are trying sacrificing their bodies, sacrificing their ways of life in order to catch the attention of God. And yet sin already caught the attention of God long time ago, before even we were born. Ask Noah, ask Lot and Abraham, and what God did about it. God already made a way. That's God's solution. God forgives. He sent Jesus Christ. He has given us salvation. Everything that was needed to sort sin is done no room for works, not even tithing, not coming to church every Sunday, not reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Amazingly, there are people who don't even trust in Jesus and yet they are crammed from Genesis to Revelation in order to debate that Jesus is not God. Everything that was needed to sort sin was done. Now it's just believing in the finished work of Christ. I didn't say tithing is bad, but tithing does not give me salvation. Tithing does not get to God and say you know, ah, you have tithed more. Today.
Speaker 1:My brother here also said not prayer, not a lot of prayers that catch the attention of God. We pray because we have a relationship with God. Why do you talk with your children so that you have a relationship? There is not even a reason that you give and so on. It's because he's your child. That's why you talk together. It's weird to have a child and then you never talk. It's unnatural, isn't it? The same thing to God we pray why? Because we have a relationship with God, but not works. I come to church why? Because I with God, but not works. I come to church why? Because I love God. God requires me to be in church so that I can continue to know him, so that we can continue to help each other to walk in this faith. That's why I come to church. I don't come to church so that I can earn salvation. I don't know about you, but there are some Christians who base these things as if, but from Monday to Saturday they separate from God.
Speaker 1:God's mercy is not getting what we deserve. What do we deserve? Romans 6, verse 23,. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God. It's a gift. We don't deserve it. We were actually even not born. I was not born before Christ died for me, but I'm glad that he died because I know myself. He is very patient with me. Why? Because of his mercy he is very patient with me. Why Because of his mercy he is very patient with you because of his mercy. Now, when you know God's mercy, your life is transformed.
Speaker 1:Meditation on God's mercy transforms our lives to true worship. When you know what God has done for you, when you know that Jesus has died for you on the cross, your life will be transformed, transformed. Not to do the works in order to get to God. You're already in God Now. You have a relationship with him. You want to please him. That's what we do, isn't it? For people we love? We want to please them so that our relationship will not be broken. You are not forced to love this person. That will not be love. That will not be a friend who forces you to be a friend, and that's the relationship that God wants us to. My last point true worship. Meditation on God's mercy transforms our lives to true worship.
Speaker 1:That same verse, romans, chapter 12, verse 1 to 2, the whole of it. Now Just put it so that I can read it again. Let's put it so that I can read it again. Therefore. That's why now Paul says therefore, because of what God has done, therefore, I urge you. Yeah, paul is urging as a child of God. That's what we urge you as a believer. You urge those ones who don't know God. Oh, there's no God. Oh, if God is there, why is all this happening? That is happening. Don't worry about what is happening. Just know that there is God and he wants you. He wants to talk with you. Urge people that's why we share. We don't debate with people to know Christ. That's not our work. God never debates in his word. He talks with authority. You know, I am the way. The Bible talks with authority. There's no room for debate. Why? Because he is the truth, he is God. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship.
Speaker 1:Biblical thinking and sacrificial living. We talked about that Biblical thinking, sacrificial living. Why biblical thinking? Because we don't have any other book to find the answers for our lives. Why do we go to schools? Why do we take our children to schools To read those textbooks, textbooks written by people. Even you yourself, you don't know those people. Have you ever seen the person who wrote your child's English textbook? It's irrelevant, isn't it? Go to school so that you can get knowledge, but when it comes to the things of life, the most important thing we want first to figure out where God is. You can't find him. He is spirit. Can you find spirit? Can you find oxygen and touch it? Can you touch the wind? Oh, I don't believe there is wind. Where is it? It's blowing when? But we have a tangible thing here, called the Bible, which will teach us in the ways that's biblical thinking. Forget about anything else Now. Catch our attention to this In the ways that's biblical thinking. Forget about anything else, now catch our attention to this. And then, because it leads us to sacrificial living, 2 Timothy 3, verse 16 to 17. You read that at home. And Joshua, chapter 1, verse 8. Yeah, biblical thinking.
Speaker 1:Christianity is the only one God has done the work of atonement for his people. That's why previously I was saying that. I mean, you know Jesus did not come to start another religion. We are full of things and works. We are full of trouble, we are full of the sin is already troubling us. Why will he bring another burden of religion? Yeah, that's not what he brought. Yeah, and he finished the work. That's why he came and died on the cross. You know he did the work.
Speaker 1:No need to separate. Sometimes, you know we separate church things and our things. You know my business, this is my business. I work from 8 to 5 and so on, and then, when it comes to God, I change the way of walking. I'm going to church. When your child talks something or calls a friend, an animal's name, you're in church. But at home they can talk, they can abuse each other. You don't worry because they're not in church, but at home they can talk, they can abuse each other. You don't worry because they're not in church. See, that's what we normally do. We separate God and our things.
Speaker 1:Now this verse tells us present your body as a living sacrifice. You don't need to separate your time and God's time. You don't need to separate your time and God's time. Yeah, this is my time, this is God's time, this is my time, this is God's time. It's all God's time. I don't have my time. So, whatever I'm doing with my designs, god is already inside there. He wants me to treat this client like a child of God. And when I'm in church, I'm talking with you. Then we are talking like brothers and sisters in Christ. When I'm in a matatu and we are talking with that conductor, god is already there. I haven't left God in church, all time becomes God's time. Monday to Sunday, it's all God's time.
Speaker 1:In the Old Testament, animals were sacrificed, but Christ became our sacrifice. Can you imagine? In the Old Testament, yes, god had a time. He had put that time when Jesus came in Bethlehem In his mind. He had that time. But now, before that, there are people starting with Adam and Eve. Now, because of what he has, christ will come and be sacrificed. That's why now, instead of sacrificing and do away with Adam and Eve, he sacrificed an animal instead. So all those people had to sacrifice those animals before Christ died. Now Christ died. Now we don't sacrifice those animals. Christ took our punishment. It's the humans who needed to be punished, not those animals. That's the love of God.
Speaker 1:Some people say now why? I see, oh, poor animals, so he wanted instead you to be punished and the animals to be left. Who created those animals? Anyway? See, it's him and he can do whatever he can do with his creation. And the person who is saying poor animals always sacrifice the chicken and eats it so that he can get some energy and nutrition. Oh, I love pork. Where did that pork come from? I love chicken. Oh, I'm a vegetarian. So why are you killing those trees, those trees, those vegetables. They have life, isn't it? Why are you killing them? Anyway, god sacrificed the animals and spared man because he knew that he's going to send his only begotten son to be sacrificed. The body of Christ became a sacrifice. God himself became a sacrifice.
Speaker 1:God does not have a daughter or a son or someone else. You know the children ask us if God has sent his only begotten son, only son. God only has one son, only one child. Just imagine God has only one son. It's not about Just imagine God has only one son. It's not about the son, it's about that relationship, god. We have sons and daughters. We can relate. Just imagine giving your son or your daughter to be sacrificed. Can you do that? But God wanted us to understand that relationship. No human is to die eternally. This is biblical thinking. Because of time, I want to conclude. Biblical thinking that will lead you to sacrificial living. Your whole life becomes a sacrifice. Yeah, your thoughts, your words, you start speaking truth, no lies, you say. What do you mean? It's easier said than done.
Speaker 1:You know, when I was working in one company and sometimes I used to oversleep. You know, I used to love movies, so I watch a movie and then I sleep at 2 am and I need to wake up. I need to be in Westlands at 8. Now I oversleep. I wake up at 7. At 8, I need to be at the workplace. Now, at that time I do what we call passport. Only men know what that is. We do that passport and then a matatu. You get into the matatu. The matatu does not want to move. They are waiting, standing, standing everywhere. They don't know that I'm in a hurry and if you ask, you'll be told by your own car.
Speaker 1:So my boss calls me one day. I'm in this Harakati of lateness. But you know, I think, should I lie? There is traffic, there's no traffic in my route. There's normally no traffic. You get traffic when you reach here in Sarit, but at that time I'm very far away, no traffic. So what should I say? But anyway, I received that call. Hello, where are you? It's almost 8 and there's something that you need to do. I just say the truth. I'm sorry, I overslept and I woke late, that's why. So I'm late. I'm just in Amatatu, but I reached there. I'll walk late. That's why. So I'm late. I'm just in Amatatu, but I reach there. I'll be late.
Speaker 1:Maybe you are thinking that he said that you, you, you, you, if you continue. No, that's not what my boss said. My boss, yeah, he listened to me and somehow God brings your words to be gracious. And then I feel, and then you know he waits for me to reach there and then he gives me what he was supposed to give me. Several times he did that, but you know what our relationship changed? It was no longer employee both. I was the only one out of all employees who used to drive his Mach X. Mach X is a type of car and you know, in the year 2014, it used to be top. Now we have many, but at that time, mach X KCA, I'm the only one who used to drive it Going to buy cake for parties in the office and so on and so forth. No one else. When I'm not there, someone else will be sent and will take a cab or a matatu Relationship Trust. That man trusted me. That's not all.
Speaker 1:One day he called me on Sunday and I was busy preparing myself to come to church and then I said, no, I did not answer the call because I was preparing, but I got a missed call and a text please come. You need to come because there is a client who needs the work done before Monday. I looked at the text. I thought of what to say. You know what I wrote back. I wrote a text back saying that I'm preparing for Sunday school at 11.30. Some of you are like you are crazy. Yes, I was crazy. I think it was uncommon at that time. You know I'm preparing for a Sunday class, but you know what it's Sunday. But don't worry, we will not lose that business. That's what I wrote. Then I sent it. He did not reply. So you can imagine what I was thinking Monday blues, what will happen in the office? But anyway, it expected what I expected.
Speaker 1:I enter the office, he calls me to his office Butterflies I don't know if it's butterflies which fill in the stomach, and so on and then he looks at me, he looks at his phone. He showed me. You see this text that you sent. I forwarded it to the client. Somehow. The client understood and he said that you have to go and work in his office and you need to finish all those projects. And that's what I did. I went by 2 pm I had finished all the logos, all the posters and so on, and then afterwards, you know he increased my salary a little bit. You know, that increment of the salary, it was God telling me that I noticed.
Speaker 1:Does it mean that I used not to lie? Oh, I was a liar, I used to be bitter, I used to be angry, but God started dealing with me in those things. From this verse, you know present yourself as a living sacrifice. God already knows that you are going to lie. Before you lie, god is the one who gave you that job. That's what I knew. God is my ultimate boss. So in our relationship, she'll be truthful, and when it's truthful, god does his blessing. And you know, you prosper in your own ways. And you know what. That client, long story short that client who followed me, is the one when I left employment, when I started my own business. You know how hard it is, you don't have clientele, and so on. That client whom I served that day, he followed me and he's the one who supported me to start my own business. Maybe you're asking me then why are you not a millionaire?
Speaker 1:Faith is the substance of things hoped for. I'm still hoping to be and I will be. Watch this space, amen. Why did I share that? Thoughts, words, your words, your actions, your attitude, how you treat others, your senses your senses not for personal gratification but to bless others You'll be able to design godly relationships.
Speaker 1:If you are a young man and you see this young lady has come and so on, maybe this lady does not have a father figure, maybe this lady does not have a brother, maybe this lady does not have that true love of a father. And then this lady comes and then you see that he's smiling so well, and then you misunderstand that relationship and then, selfishly, you misuse that. Then you hurt. But spirit-led discernment, you discern that ha, I'm not yet married, this is not my wife. Yes, we love each other, but we are friends. She's looking at me as a brother or as a sister, vice versa. Then our relationships will be wholesome. We will not hurt each other. Why do relationships get hurt? It's because it was not intended to be. It was just intended to be brotherly love, three-sisterly love.
Speaker 1:If there's something like that, until God leads you to have your own personal love or partner, then you say why are marriages being broken nowadays? I don't know. But all I know is that if it's broken, stay with God. God did not do a mistake. God is not wondering what happened. He's not figuring out now who will he give you to? But what he's waiting for is you to presenting yourself to Him. Let Him lead you through ups and downs. Let Him lead you through valleys of the shadows of death. Let him lead you. That's what he wants. Then you get fulfilled. It does not matter what happens in our lives Emotional. There is an artist who sang Machozi, nia Ibada. You stop crying because of what is happening, but you start crying because of the mercy of God leading you through whatever that he has led you.
Speaker 1:Galatians 2.20 says I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. Yet. Not I, but Christ lives in me. Let me conclude because of time. When you meditate on God's mercy, it leads you to true worship. Romans, this last verse. Romans, chapter 5, verse 1 to 5. Just read this and then we stop. Romans, chapter 5, from verse 1 to 5. Therefore, another. Therefore, this is still Paul speaking.
Speaker 1:Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God. We have peace with God. We are always looking for peace in this troubled world. The answer is there, since we have been justified through faith. Don't cry because of all that is happening. Don't worry where the economy is taking us. Don't worry about what the Gen Z's are up to. Don't worry about why people are being killed now and we need to pray about that, but know that God already knows what is happening. But it's for you, as a believer, to stand on the gap, to truly pray, and God can transform things. Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord, jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand and we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in the sufferings. We also glory in the sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character, character, hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Praise the Lord when you meditate on God's mercy. It leads you to true worship. You can be led into that throne of worship.
Speaker 1:Biblical thinking and sacrificial living Is God's will for us all. What area of your life is God's will still a mystery? When you hear about God's will, is it still a mystery? Proverbs 22, verse 6, says that Train up a child in the way he should go. When they are old, they shall not depart from it. We are children of God. We need to be trained in the ways of the Lord. Then, as we are growing spiritually, we shall not depart from God, but we shall share Him with the others. People need to know God. When people are looking for God, let them see God in you. Be a solution to the world, not a problem the world has enough problems but be a solution. It does not matter what is happening, but be a solution.
Speaker 1:When people are saying Kenya, you say that I refuse it in Jesus' name. Kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya, kenya. Because Kenya is among us and even if bread will be 1,000 bob, I will still have. We are praying for it not to be 1,000 bob, but I will still afford it. I will still buy that bread 1,000. In Jesus' name, let's pray.
Speaker 1:If you are here and maybe you don't know this Jesus, you are hearing this message for the first time, or maybe you have been hearing and you haven't. You don't know that you are born again. This is your time. This is your time. It's just a prayer away. We just say dear Lord, jesus, come into my heart. I believe that you died on the cross for me. Forgive me, lord, and help me walk with you always In Jesus' name.
Speaker 1:If you have prayed that prayer, you can come after the service and just share what the Lord has done, because if you have prayed that prayer, the Lord is here and he has heard you and you have become a child of God. If you are a child of God already, I don't know about your life. I don't know what has happened about your life. I don't know why I shared what I shared today, but God already knows, and if it has spoken to you, it's your time that God wants to fulfill himself to you. God wants to manifest himself in your life. God wants you to know that he is present. He knows what is happening in your life and he's able to lead you through. So you can pray together with me. Just make a prayer, talk to God and tell Him that you want to follow Him. You want to have that rest. You want to have that peace that surpasses all understanding. You want to experience him in a special way this month. You want to desire his leading.
Speaker 1:Thank you, lord, for everything. Thank you, lord, for you did everything for us. You already finished the works. We don't need to work anything out, but we just need to trust you. We just need to have faith in you. We just need to rest in you To know that our life, you already have our life on your hand and there is no one that can separate us from you. Thank you, dear Lord, for ministering to your people today. May you always. May you help us in our spiritual sensitivity to be very sensitive to hear you amidst all the voices in the world. That, lord, we can differentiate and we can know your voice. We can know you are leading. Thank you, dear Lord Jesus, for giving yourself for us. We love you, lord. Thank you for loving us first, for it's in Jesus' mighty name we pray and believe, and God's people said let's appreciate the Lord for what he did for us.
