Parklands Baptist Church's Podcast
19th October Sunday 2nd Service: Abounding Grace. By PBC Senior Pastor, Rev. Ambrose Nyangao, EBS
Want proof that grace is more than a sweet word? We go straight at crisis, disappointment, and delay, then show how “shameless audacity” in prayer meets a God of much more—more purpose, more provision, more power. Starting with Luke 11, we unpack why Jesus commands us to ask, seek, and knock, not from anxiety but from confidence in the Father’s goodness. Along the way, we pause to pray for a grieving nation and a family in mourning, grounding lofty ideas in a real moment of loss.
From there, we tackle a big tension: why would a good God allow challenges? Using Paul’s thorn and James’ call to “count it joy,” we outline five reasons trials are allowed and how they become a runway for sufficient grace. The Mephibosheth story pulls this from theory into flesh—exile in Lodebar, a self-image of “dead dog,” then stunning restoration and a permanent seat at the king’s table. Grace doesn’t just return what was lost; it relocates you to presence and dignity.
We then frame the heart of the message in three parts. Purpose: grace teaches us to live clean, steady, meaningful lives so we don’t waste the gifts that follow. Provision: the God who supplies seed and bread multiplies both, often far beyond what we ask—think Abraham’s “one child” against God’s “nations and kings,” or a parent’s honest journey from school suspensions and poor grades to an unexpected academic turnaround. Power: like the early church, we witness with great power when great grace rests on us. A simple story of rain stopping mid-prayer reminds us the point isn’t our strength; it’s God’s nearness and timing.
If you’re weary, ashamed, or playing small, consider this your nudge to ask again. Expect a turnaround, receive the “much more,” and let grace seat you where you thought you didn’t belong. If this encouraged you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review to help others find these conversations. Your story might be the next testimony.

While you're standing, we want to read the book of Luke, chapter 11, verse 9 to 13. These are the words of Jesus, and especially as we talk about uncommon grace. I read. So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. The one who seeks finds. And to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of your father, which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish? We'll give him a snake instead. Or if he asks for an egg, we'll give him a scorpion. If you then though your evil, know how to give good gifts to your children. How much more? How much more? How much more will your father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him? This is God's word and gospel saying we may be seated in God's presence. Let's pray. Father, our prayer is simple this afternoon. It is simply to say thank you. Lord as a nation, we have gone through some challenging times this past week. And we want to say thank you that you have brought us this far. Lord, we want to again remember Honorable Raila Odinga, who is being buried today. We thank you for the services that are ongoing, and we want to pray that indeed, again, as we have prayed again and again, give peace and comfort to this family, give peace to Ida, give peace to the children and the grandchildren, give peace, Jehovah God, that passes all understanding. The Bible says, until now you have asked nothing in my name. So we are asking on behalf of this family, uncommon grace to visit them. As we pray for them, we are also saying, uncommon grace to this country. Because God, this is a transition time. And in transitions, God, you give us peace and you give us grace to know what to do, how to do it, when to do it. And so we pray for wisdom to the leadership of this land. The Lord, even in their morning, they look up to God. The Bible says, I look up to the mountains. Where does my help come from? We want to declare that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. So we celebrate you and we thank you because we know many testimonies will come because your grace came through. And Father Lord, even as we hear your word this afternoon, I want to pray that also for each one of us in our various walks of life, challenges that come, crises that come, that that same uncommon grace will see us through and will take us over. What a blessing to be in God's house, hearing your word. Speak to us, Holy Spirit, enlarge our territory. This we have prayed in faith and in thanksgiving. In Jesus' name and God's people say it. Amen. We want to welcome those watching us online, those watching us in the pavilion, parents' room, wherever you are, and we give God the glory. Tell your neighbor grace. Tell your neighbor grace is abounding. Tell your neighbor grace is uncommon. Tell your neighbor grace is your portion. Amen. Abounding grace. Grace that has no limits. And this grace comes from God, a God of the much more. Tell your neighbor it is a God of the much more. It is a God of the more than enough. Okay, just I want you to repeat that so that you can get into your system. I started by saying God of the much more. God of the more than enough. God of the fullness. God of the overflow. And God of the unlimitedness. This is the God of abounding grace. Amen. And this God is available when you pray. Available when you pray. Jesus said, so ask. He didn't say so worry. He didn't say so be anxious. He said he didn't say so be strategic. He said so, ask, ask, ask. And it shall be given to you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened to you. For whoever, whoever, everyone who asks does what? Receives. Whoever seeks finds. Whoever knocks, the door will be opened to them. But that that statement had a context. So let me give you that context. Jesus is teaching the disciples how to pray. And then he gives them an illustration. Luke chapter 11, verse 5. Let me pick it from verse 5 so that you can understand the God of the march more. Then Jesus said to them, Suppose you have a friend. And you go to him when? At midnight. Usually do you go to your friend at midnight? No. But suppose you have a friend and you go to him at midnight and say, Friend, lend me three loaves of bread. A friend of mine, so this friend is asking for a friend, a friend of mine on a journey has come to me and I have no food to offer him. And suppose the one inside answers, Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can't get up and give you anything. I tell you. Even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of what? I'll just say it. Because of your shameless audacity. So look at your neighbor and see if they are shameless. If they just look shameless. Ah, this time it is not friendship. This time is that they are asking and they are saying, hey, I'm not leaving this place until you do what? Until you ask, and until you give me, because of their shameless audacity, he will surely get up and give you as much as you need. So I say to you. Now that's why he's now saying, So I say to you, ask. But ask how with shameless audacity. In other words, ask and keep on asking. Why? Because the person you are asking, number one, you know they have capacity. Because if you don't have capacity, you are surely going to be bothering them. And you're surely going to be annoying them the more you ask. Because they don't have capacity. But this God of grace, this God of abundance, you can ask and keep on asking. And then he says, How much more? How much more. And I want to say, as believers, as we talk about abounding grace, sometimes we are afraid to ask for much more. We are afraid. Because, number one, we don't know if God is going to give. Number two, we have gone through many difficult disappointments that we believe that even God will do what? Will disappoint us. He has failed us enough times. But I want to say to do and assure you today that God is never a disappointer. You see, sometimes God will allow challenges to come your way for a reason. He will protect you, he will watch over you, but he will handle the challenges for you. But there are five things that God wants challenges to produce in your life. Number one, God allows challenges or a crisis because they will cause you to come near to God. There are some things that will never bring you to God, like challenges and a crisis. So God will just allow a crisis because number one, he knows the crisis will not kill you. But the crisis will bring you where? To him. Sometimes that's all he needs. And sometimes, even if like for parents, parents are just enjoying themselves, having a good time, until there's a crisis. God causes one of your children to be a serious problem for you. Not because God cannot handle that child, but because it will help you to bring to bring you where? To God. As simple as that. Simple as that. And the moment you come to God, God sorts out the problem. Number two, challenges and crises enhance your desire to pray. When things are going very well, you don't really pray. And you pray very fast. But when there's a crisis, when there's a challenge, you don't pray from your head, you pray from your heart. You really pray. And that's all God is looking for. He wants to tour you so that you can really pray. Hello. Number three, God allows challenges and crises to strengthen your character. Hallelujah. Just to make you a better person, to strengthen your character. So if your character is a heavy heavy, expect some crisis. I'm saying expect some crisis. They will not kill you, they'll just cause your character to be stronger. Number four, challenges and crises will set you up for a testimony. Hallelujah. They'll set you up for a testimony. And number five, a crisis or a challenge will release sufficient grace for you. Hallelujah. So look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor. I'm praying that challenges will come my way this week. Somebody saying shendo. But that's the only pathway for that to happen. Hello? Because abounding grace is about to locate you. And it locates you in challenges. Let me read this verse in the book of 2 Corinthians 12, verse 7 to 9. Hear what Paul is saying about grace. And he says this. Okay, so that's that verse is picking up from verse 6. So let me just pick it from there for. Therefore, it's okay. Just go to therefore. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given what? A thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. Amen. Let me read verse 7 in the Amplified Version. It says it in a different way. This is what it says. Amplify. Because of the surpassing greatness and extraordinary nature of the revelations which I received from God for this reason: to keep me from thinking of myself as important, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan, to torment me and harass me, to keep me from exalting myself. Concerning this, I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me. But he but he has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you. My loving kindness and my mercy are more than enough, always available regardless of the situation. For my power is being perfected and is completed and shows itself most effectively in your weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may completely enfold me and may dwell in me. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor, challenges are good. Let me give you one more verse. James chapter 1, verse 2 to 4. The Bible says this. Go ahead. James chapter 1, verse 2 to 4. These are good verses. Please read them. It says, Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Then it says, Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. In other words, get excited. Get excited. I'm saying, get excited when all challenges come your way. Why? God is so He He is He is secure because He knows the challenge will not destroy you. The challenge will make you better. The challenge will take you higher. Hallelujah. Good things are coming your way. And God's grace is sufficient, it's abounding. And so when you are in a challenge, ask, it shall be given to you. Seeker you will find, nor can the door will be given to you because there's much more coming your way. I'm saying there's much more coming your way. I'm saying there's much more coming your way. You see, Kitambo, when I was young and in the youth, I bought myself a bicycle. Tell your neighbor, Amen. I mean, from my first salary, I said, wow, I bought myself a bicycle. That bicycle was amazing. It took me everywhere. I used to stay quite far. I used to stay somewhere in Kabete. And I used to go to school to teach in Shaurimoyo. And so I would ride that bicycle on this Wayaki Way. When Wayaki Way was only one way. There were not two ways. One. And I would roll down the road, roll, roll, roll. Mpaka Shaurimoy. It was an amazing rolling. But then I would go on that bike climbing. And I used to walk on this highway when I could not ride until I reached Kabete. Hallelujah. And I used to enjoy that. I would come as a youth leader at Parklands Baptist Church. I would park that bicycle. I really loved that bicycle. It was shiny. It was blue. It was just amazing. And I just I just enjoyed that bicycle. Then a crisis showed up. One day another friend of mine told me, why don't I can I give me a ride? I want to ride this thing, Bana. So I gave him a ride. In other words, I told him you can ride, and but it just goes around the buildings, he comes back. I want you to know that's the last time I saw that bicycle. The bicycle went, went. Pastor Keniti, I was so traumatized. I'm telling you, I reported it at the Parklands police station. And I told them this bicycle, I described it so well. And I told them I don't know where it went. I had given it to a friend of mine, he disappeared, and I said, just write it in the OB. My friend, they are still looking for the bicycle. There is no report that the bicycle was found. But that it looked small, but that was a big crisis in my life. But God needed to take the bicycle away because he had something much more. Much more. Tell your neighbor much more. So don't count your loss as something that is finished. God is going to replace it with much more. But stand because the issue is not the thing you lost, the issue is your faith and your character in God, where you allow his grace to abound towards you. And I want you to know, God will reach out to you. King Saul was such an enemy to David. And one day King Saul died, killed in battle. And because the regime was going to shift and David became king, his whole entire family started running, and many of them were killed. Jonathan, who was David's good friend, also was killed. But his grandson and all the others scattered. One of the grandsons called Mephibosheth, while they were running to escape, fell. He became crippled for life. And he went so far from the palace to a place called Lodeba. Now let Lodeba is a Hebrew word. That simply means when you want to say no in Hebrew, you say lo. Debar means a word. So when you say lo Debah, you're saying where there is no word. And that was in the wilderness. It is so far. And Mephibosheth needed to go so far from David, so far. He wanted to be forgotten. He did not want any word because he knew if King David found him, he would kill him. But something happened. Even in that crisis, something shifted. Let me tell you this: it doesn't matter what you have gone through. God is about to change your situation. I'm saying God is about to change your story. God is watching over you. God has not forgotten you. And even when you pray and say, Oh, God, why me? Why have you forgotten me? God has not forgotten you. And so in the book of 2 Samuel, chapter 9, something begins to develop. May grace catch up with you. The Bible says this in 2 Samuel chapter 9, verse 1. David asked, He was just sitting one day in his palace. Then he asked, Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan's sake? Now there was a servant of Saul's household named Zeba. They summoned him to appear before David. And the king said to him, Are you Zeba? At your service, he replied. Zeba answered the king, There's still a son of Jonathan. He is lame in both feet. Where is he? The king asked Zeba. Zeba answered, He is at the house of Makir, son of Amel, in law Debah. So King David had him brought from Lodeba, from the house of Makir, son of Amel. When Mephibosheth, son of Jonathan, the son of Saul came to David, he bowed down to pay him honor. David said, Mephibosheth, at your service, he replied, Don't be afraid. David said to him, For I will surely, I will surely, I will surely show you kindness, not for your sake, but for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore you to you all the land, all the land, all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul. And then he said something much more. And you will always eat at my table. Hallelujah. Tell your neighbor that's grace. Tell your neighbor that's grace. He would have given him the land and said, Sour, we'll see you next time. But he said, You sit at my table. Next verse, verse 8. Mephiboshet was so shocked by this grace. He bowed down and said, What is your servant that should you should notice a dead dog like me? Now, if he had just said dog, that would be fine. Because let me tell you this: if somebody calls you a dog, it is serious. Especially if they call you a dog in Kikuyu. I'm telling you, it is bad news. Hello? And then when they now say a dead dog, you know how a dead dog looks like. But for the fever shirt, he's not being called, he's calling himself. And that is why sometimes how we respond to God's abounding grace. We say, Not for me. I don't deserve it. I have been in this house, a 10 by 10 house, all my life. I have a Mabati house. This is my my life. This is my all. And then one day somebody offers you a three-bedroom house and gives you the keys, and you say, Not me. Hello? Not me. I'll sell it. Not me. Hello? Grace. Grace. Tell your neighbor, you're not dead. And you're not a dog. Tell your neighbor you are a child of the king. And by the way, deacon uh chaired chair PDB, Mephibosheth was actually royalty. King Saul, Prince Jonathan, and then Mephibosheth. He was in the lineage of royalty. But in his mind, he had reached a stage where all he could see around him is I'm a dead dog. Unfinished. And yet he had left lands, he had left servants, he had left so much, and David gave it back to him. And he said, You're not going to work anymore. You will sit at my table all the rest of your life. That is abounding grace which he did not deserve. He deserved to die. But David said, Uh uh, you'll sit at my table. The Bible says in that verse, let me finish this. Then the king summoned Zebba, Saul's steward, and said to him, I've given your master's grandson everything that belonged to Saul and his family. You and your sons and your servants are to farm the land for him and bring in the crops that your master's grandson may be provided for, and may Phoebe, grandson of your master, will always eat at my table. Hallelujah. That's grace. I'm saying that's grace. I'm saying that's grace. Grace will qualify you. Hallelujah. Because many times grace is only for our day of salvation. We get saved by grace, but we don't realize that grace will work with us all the rest of our lives. God's grace will locate you, God's grace will take you where nobody else will take you. Hallelujah. And I want to predict and prophesy to somebody today that your story is changing. Hallelujah. Because of grace. Because of grace. Hallelujah. I'm talking to a lady here because of grace. Your husband is in Geneva. You're not married, but your husband is in Geneva. Let me talk to the ladies on this side because nobody seems to be receiving this. Which one do you want to go? In fact, they're watching you online. So you better start smiling nicely. Hallelujah. In other words, grace will locate you, but be ready to receive it. I am saying, be ready to receive it. Be ready to take it. How the guy will reach out here, I don't know. How you'll go to Geneva, we don't know. But what is grace? How much? How much more? How much more? How much more? God is good. Grace will locate you. And so I have three things that I want to say about this grace to summarize what this abounding grace is all about. And it's my prayer that you will sit at the king's table all the days of your life. Not because you deserve it, but because the king has invited you at the table of grace. Abounding grace. So number one, much more purpose. Tell your neighbor, much more purpose. Number two, much more provision. Number three, much more power. I want to start with much more provision because God is really a God of purpose. Titus chapter 2, verse 11 to 14. The Bible says this. I'll read it in the NIV. For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to how many people? To all people. It teaches us. Continue. It teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self. Controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age. While we wait for the blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself our people that are his own, eager to do what is good. God wants to give you things, but beyond things, God wants to give you a purpose. And God gives purpose to each one of us. None of us was created without a purpose. It's only that some of us have not discovered that purpose. And it is my prayer that in your journey of life, you will allow grace to open your eyes to see that purpose. One of the reasons why people even sometimes get depressed and sometimes commit suicide, they don't commit suicide because they are depressed. They commit suicide because they don't have purpose. There is no reason to live. Everything is just working against them. And they wonder, why should I live? Let me tell you this: you are not an accident. You did not come on this planet as an accident. Hallelujah. There are some people who came into this world through rape. Your mother got raped, and you were born, and you live this life as if God did you the worst favor to bring you on this planet. But I'm telling you, God has a purpose for you. I'm saying God has a purpose for you. Pastor Keniti, I don't know about if you know this guy in the Bible, who the Bible says that his mother was a prostitute. And one day they were looking for a king. And nobody wanted to be a king. And so they came to this guy whose mother was a prostitute. And the Bible says the mother was a prostitute. In other words, that was his tagline. That's how people viewed him. No matter how much how much good he was doing, they would only finish and say, so and so, whose mother is a prostitute. And that that defined him. But let me tell you this they looked for everybody, and nobody wanted to be a king. When they came to this guy, he said, Fine, I'll be a king. It was in the time of the judges. And the guy became a king. He became a judge. And I don't care what your tagline is. When grace locates you. I'm saying when grace locates you, things will shift for you. Abound in grace will take you to levels you have never been. In Jesus' name. Because God doesn't care about taglines, God cares about you. As you. Hallelujah. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor, I'm so valuable. Tell your neighbor I'm so valuable. Tell your neighbor I'm so excellent. You don't need to give me a job, just tell them. Because God is going to give you a job, He's going to take you to places you've never been. In Jesus' name. So, God wants to give you a purpose. The purpose is for you to live a life that is right, a life that pleases Him. A life full of faith and grace. A life where others are happy when they see you. I'm saying a life where when people see you, they are happy to see you. You know, there are people when they see you, they take off. They don't know what to do because you don't bring goodness to them. But let me tell you this: even in that stage of your life, God loves you and God wants to take you to the next level. Somebody's story is about to change. I'm saying somebody's story is about to change. God's grace wants to give you purpose to live a life because you're a new creation. You're a brand new person. Inside you're new, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. You have what it takes, you have capacity, you're good. Even though right now you look bad, but you are good. I'm saying you're good. I'm saying you're good. I'm saying you're good. Inside you there's goodness. God did not create something bad, God created a new creation. You're God's workmanship in Jesus' name. Yes, you are a blessed person. You need to believe that. You need to believe what God created. Believe in you because you have a purpose. Parklands Baptist Church as a church has a purpose. There's a reason why Parklands Baptist Church is in this locality because he has a purpose. When God took us from Parklands and brought us here, there was a purpose for us to finish and to complete. And you became part of the purposes of God within this church. But also the city of Nairobi, for you to be born in this city, for you to live in this city, there was a purpose. Some of you were not born in this city, but you came to this city. I want to tell you this. This Ambrose, most he grew up in this city most of his life. I'm a city boy. Hallelujah. I am a city boy. Hallelujah. Went to Nazareth school. At Jericho Nassari School. Passed with flying colors. Went to Jerusalem. Jerusalem is not in Israel. It is in Islam. Went to Dr. Livingstone Primary School. Class 1, class 2. Then my father was taken to another location, so I repeated class two. I'm saying I repeated class two. That is to help some fathers here who repeated. And it has traumatized them all their life. And you know, Pastor Kennedy, sometimes people need to to to repeat. So that the people they were with were not the right people. They needed to go forward so that you would come with the right people. I repeated class two. And in repeating, I relocated from Islands to Nairobi South B. I went to Narobi South B primary. Hello. Then my father shifted from Jericho and we landed in South B at the railway training school. At the railway quarters. The railway training school. I was in class 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 in South B. I passed with flying colors. In maths, I got an A. Tell your neighbor, don't be envious. In English, I got an A. In in general paper, I got an A. That enabled me to go to Jamhuri High School. When Jammuri High School was Jammuri High School. Hallelujah. The Duke of Gloucester, my friend. You cannot tell me. But you see, God was weaving my purpose. When I went to Jamouri High School, I was still in South B. But when I went to From Four, my father was promoted and he came to the railway headquarters, which meant that he was given a new place to stay. And he was given the quarters, the relevant quarters at Parklands. So we shifted from Parklands. We shifted from Narobi South B to Parklands. And in Parklands, Dad said, Look for a church near here. Because we used to go to St. Stephen's Jogo Road. And he said, just look for any church near here. And the nearest church, which was five minutes from where we were staying, was Parkland's Baptist Church. God was locating me. Purpose. Hallelujah. And then it was in being in Parklands who knew this boy would one day be the senior pastor of that church. Let me tell you this: God knows the plans He has for you. Plans for welfare, not for evil. To give you a future. And I hope that is what is called abounding grace. And when grace means to take you where it needs to go, there's nothing the devil can do about it. I'm saying there's nothing the devil can do about it. And so you are in Parklands Baptist Church today here in Westlands because of abounding grace. Amen. Receive that in Jesus' name. Come on, receive it in Jesus' name. Abounding grace gives us much provision. Tell your neighbor much provision. Let me read these verses very quickly as we tie up this message. 2 Corinthians chapter 9, verse 8 to 10, that God wants to provide for you. And God is able to bless you. How abundantly. So that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written, they have freely scattered their gifts to the poor. Their righteousness endures forever. Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. God wants to give to you much more. Tell your neighbor much more. So let me read that in Genesis 17, verse 15. At that particular time, by the way, Ishmael was born. But in chapter 17, God is making a covenant with Abraham. And he said, This God also said to Abraham, As for Sarai, your wife, you're no longer to call her Sarai. Her name will be Sarah. And then listen to what God said. I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. Now, Pastor Riggs, you see, Abraham just needed a son, but God needed nations, God needed kings. And sometimes you asked for something when God actually is setting you up for much more. By the way, Abraham, even though he was a man of faith, really started laughing. Look at verse 17. Abraham fell face down. He laughed and said to himself, Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Just look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor it's never too late. Tell your neighbor your life is about to shift. And you're not even 40. Just tell them. Hallelujah. You're not even 40, and you are you are just waiting and saying, How will how will I make it? My friend, God is always in time. Will a son be born to a man 100 years old? Will Sarah bear a child? And I says, a child, a child. And God is saying, nations. Kings. You see, that's why when I pray for Parki, I pray for big things. When I pray for you, I pray for big things. I pray that many of us will be located in every nation of the world. Some of you, of course, need to go to Greenland and you're saying, uh-uh. See, Fiki Uko. I will stay in Kino for the rest of my life. My friend, I'm declaring that your boundaries are enlarged. In Jesus' name. Why should you get stuck in Kino all the rest of your life? God is a God of the much. More, believe him. Believe him. I pray for big things for you. I pray for big things for Parklands Baptist Church. Because I know our past has been great. Our future is going to be greater. Hallelujah. So look at your neighbor, tell your neighbor your future is going to be greater. In Jesus' name. Amen. Much more. God wants the much more for you more than you need it. Why? Because He wants to be glorified. He wants to boast because of the testimonies that will come because of what He has done for you. How many are about to receive the much more? I'm receiving the much more. I'm believing that your children will be mighty in the land. Hallelujah. I'm believing your children will be mighty in the land. Right now, some of your children are a disappointment. Hello. And you're just having a trough. There was one time I really thought my son Caleb was becoming a problem. And number one, he didn't like to study. And even though we told him many times to study, he would just look at you and say, Ma Soma Bana. Oh my Soma. Caleb is not Somari. His grades are just not going where they're supposed to go. And as parents, you begin to get agitated. You know, you're praying in the name of Jesus. Oh my God. My God. You know when you're in trouble, your voice even changes. My God. Oh my God. And you're just supposed to talk to him and say, Father, Jehovah God, Jehovah God. You know, I have a son, hallelujah, who is a disappointment. My father, I prayed that he was born in another family. But he was born in your family. There's nothing you can do. So one day, Caleb was suspended from school. He was going to Lanana school. Suspended. And he was told, You will come back, not with your mother. You will come back with your father. That was the time when I never wanted to be a pastor. That time when the principal calls you to school. Said that they were found with other kids drawing on the walls of the toilet. They were painting. Graffiti. I'm sitting there saying this graffiti thing, where did it come from? Then you were told when you come with your father, come with four liters of paint, one liter of turpentine, and two new brushes. It is at that time you want to disown your son immediately. So can you imagine, Chair PDB? I'm walking into Lenana school carrying two liters of paint. Now neighbor an honorable person like me. Carrying these things in my hands and two brushes. And I'm telling Caleb, how can you do this for me? How can you do this to me? And Caleb, do you think he's bothered? He's not bothered. He's just okay. We arrive in school when the principal's in office and he's telling, so you are who? I said, My Ambro, my name is Ambrose Nyangao. Forget reverend. That time you don't, this reverend thing, you don't want to even whisper. Can you imagine the principal saying, Ah, Ambrose, Ambrose Nyangao? Have I seen you somewhere? I said, No, no, no, no, you've never, never seen me anywhere. This is the first time you're seeing me. And all because of this cassan of yours. Hello. So we we said, okay, he shouldn't do this. This is a punishment. We gave him the paints, they were going to paint that place. And you know, you walk out of that school saying, Why did God bring me to this? Then you start saying, I don't deserve this. Then instead of Caleb improving in his grades, he just went on becoming going from C to From C, where do you go? You go to D. Then from D, you go to, and that's where Caleb was. He was functioning constantly under the sea level. Under the sea level. In other words, he was D and E. He could not swim above, and you just feel this is this is finished. You know, sometimes our children really can break you down. But I'm telling you, I used to pray and say, Lord, you know the plans you have for this boy. There are plans for welfare, not for evil. May your grace abound in him. May your grace abound in him. I'm saying, may your grace abound in him. Though I'm saying that spiritually, physically as I see him, there's no improvement. But I want to tell you this: that God's grace works behind the scenes. And in form 4, around second time, he told his mother, Kiswahili is the one that gives me problems. I need a tutor. Pay for a tutor to teach me Kiswahili. I need to understand Kiswahili. Let me tell you this: the day he made that decision, something shifted. Because it was not about Kiswahili, it was something in his spirit that shifted. And he took about four lessons. We paid for it, about four or five lessons. And then he said, Leave me, I'm going to do these exams. Something shifted. And this is where our faith was. Mattha and myself, we said, we told we told we told Caleb, Caleb, listen, just do your best. If you can make your E a D. And if you can just make your D a C. We never saw anything beyond that. We shall be fine. We shall be fine. But this God, He gives much more provision. He gives much more provision. When Caleb did his exams, and he had a rough time just before the exams, because the devil is alive. So Caleb sits for exams. We have already trusted God for him. We have done a prayer day. Things are going to work out. And he does the exams, he finishes the exams, and the results come. They came into Martha's phone. Martha saw them, he sent them to me. I called her. I said, Whose results are this? He said, They are Caleb's results. Because in those results, there was no E. There was no D, there was no C, only A's and B's. Come on, somebody better tell God thank you. Thank you. You see, when he was getting E's, I used to tell Mother, that's your son. When I saw those results, I say, This is my son. Somebody say hallelujah. I'm telling you, you know, fathers, we want to just always be on the winning side. But this is the same guy. And I'm I'm encouraging a parent here to tell you this God will make your children might in the land. Come on, you better give God a big hand. Thank him. Thank him. God gives the much more. Right now, there don't seem to be much. But God who believes in you will send grace that will take you to the next level. Hallelujah. So let me tie this down by talking about much more power. Tell your neighbor much more power. The verse Acts chapter 4, verse 33. The Bible says this this was for the disciples. With great power, the apostles continue to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God's grace was so powerfully at work in them all. I pray that God's grace will grow in you until it is very powerful. Second Peter 3, verse 18, which is the last verse. This is what Paul says about grace. 2nd Peter 3:18 says this. But do what? Do what? Grow. Tell your neighbor, grow. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory, both now and forever. Amen. Last week, when I was talking to you, I said that God's grace is not just a lady's name, God's grace is powerful. It's a divine force, it is a creative power. And let me tell you this: that grace can work in Ambrose and work in you in even in a greater way. And I know some of you are in situations and challenges that actually this week you need grace. I'm saying this week you need grace. Grace will promote you, grace will elevate you, grace will take you where nobody else can take you. Grace is very powerful. And God wants you to use that grace to fulfill his purpose. On Friday, I was on a prayer on a prayer day at Pangani Girls. And I went to Pangani Girls and they were meeting outside in the compound. There was a tent and things like that. And as the meeting went on, it began to become cloudy. And I started praying and said, God, please don't let it rain. Let me finish preaching, then you can it can rain. And the cloud just kept coming and the wind was blowing. And you know, sometimes in a situation like that, when you start preaching, you're distracted. The students are distracted, you're distracted, and things like that. But guess what? God just waited until I stood up. When I stood up to preach, it started raining. I mean, it just poured. And the girls started running this way, this way, they were got quite unsettled. And then I asked myself, you know, if if if if you're in that situation, what would you ask God to do? What would you ask God? And you are the preacher of the day. Huh? You'd ask God to do what? To stop the rain. But sometimes you say, but maybe it is God's will for it to rain. But it is raining at the wrong time. So I stood up. And when the girls were unsettled, I say, excuse me, let us pray. Now it's now pouring. I said, Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for these girls. And for the words I'm about to tell them. And dear father, stop the rain. Do you know what? The rain suddenly stopped. Stopped. The girls were just shocked. The rain stopped and it stopped. And it did not rain the rest of the program. You know, when that rain stopped, I got shocked myself. I was so surprised. Because maybe inside I was telling God, stop the rain. But if you don't want to stop it, we are going to just survive. But the rain suddenly stopped. Kabisa, I got so shocked. Then I was preaching. I a cathode entered into me. Ambrose, you are powerful. I realized it was not powerful. The grace of God. The grace of God. Come on, somebody. The grace of God. And He will give you much more. Much more. Much more. Pangani girls have a have a great they want to reach 10.4. And they were saying, Pastor Ambrose, please pray we hit this 10.4. And the God who answers prayer is able to do much more. Much more. Much more. So stand on your feet because you're about to receive the much more. Hallelujah. Yes. Stand on your feet. Look at your neighbor. The one on the left, the one on the right. If there's nobody on the right, just smile. Ah, hallelujah. And tell them, much more. Hallelujah. Not because of who you are, but because of who he is. He is the God of the much more. And you know, every day I come and stand on this pulpit. You know, I always tell myself, Maze, God has been good to me. God has been good to me. The God of the much more is walking with me. And if that God of the much more is walking with me, that God of the much more will walk with you in Jesus' name. So receive it, take it now. In the name of Jesus. Amen. Much more. Much more. How much more will God give the Holy Spirit to those who do what? So this week, expect a miracle. The first service I told them that by Wednesday, this week, there'll be a turnaround. So I'm telling you now. By Wednesday. This week, there's going to be a turnaround for you. There's going to be a change of your story. When? By Wednesday, because it can happen today. If you believe it, that shift can happen today. Amen. Somebody can just drop keys for a car just for you. But before you clap, before you clap, you need to know if somebody gives you a car today, you need a place to park it. Hallelujah. And if they give you a car, you'll have an expense to pay for fuel. Hello? Because a car comes the responsibility. But let me tell you this: God who gives can also give you much more. Receive it now in Jesus' name. Amen. I'm going to pray in a minute. Worship team. Just a reminder, Pastor Simon. Is in Machakos. I'm saying Pastor Simon is in Machakos. Uh, Pastor Simon is going to be awarded something for Mashujad Day. So he's in Machakos because tomorrow is Mashujad Day. And um he's there to be celebrated. So let's remember him in Jesus' name. Next Saturday, what is happening? Shepherd's Forum. 8:30. Be here. We'll be finished by lunchtime. Come. If you're a leader, come. So look at your neighbor, ask your neighbor, are you a leader? But then also before you ask them that, just check that do they look like leaders? That's called perception because perception can also be deceptive. So tell them, Shepherd's forum. Saturday the 25th. They need to come. But before that day, this week, grace will abound to you. Grace will abound to you. Grace will abound to you in Jesus' name. Father, as we are standing here today, I want to say thank you. That Lord, regardless of the crisis in our lives, the challenges in our lives, you are the God of the much more. Much more. God of the much more, God of the more than enough, God of the fullness, God of the overflow, God of the unlimitedness. If you could be able to get Mefibasheth into the palace, that was amazing, grace. How sweet the sound to us today. And I want to pray for somebody, Lord, who may have been thinking of themselves like Mephibosheth. I'm just a dead dog. I'm not qualified. I don't deserve it. I'm not educated for it. I don't have papers for it. I don't have the opportunities. Lord, may your grace locate them. May your grace lift them up. Because grace is about to place them at the king's table where they're going to eat for the rest of their lives. And Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that this grace will teach us to be holy, to walk lives that are pleasing to you, to say no to ungodliness and to live right. This grace will open doors for us to be provided for. This grace will give us power to do the will of God on this planet that we are on. My God, much more grace, much more grace to everyone listening to me in the pavilion, in the parents' room, online, and in this sanctuary. May much grace go before you go before you every day of this week. If you believe that, you better say, I receive it. I take it. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Come on, come on, somebody. You better tell Jesus thank you. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Pastor Kennedy, come here. We thank God as you release us today. We are going into our victories. We are going into our blessings. And next week, Sunday, you're coming back with your testimony. I'm saying you're coming back with your testimony. For some of you, your testimony starts this afternoon. I'm saying your testimony starts this afternoon. In Jesus' name, Pastor Kennedy.
SPEAKER_00:Release us. There's a preaching pastor. Somebody. Some celebration for our senior pastor. I can't hear you celebrating our senior pastor. Come on, somebody. Glory to Jesus. Amen. Amen. We give God all the glory. Thank you very much, senior pastor. May the Lord bless you. Let's say much more for the senior pastor. Much more to you. One more time. Much more. One more time. Much more in Jesus' name. Senior pastor, I realize that if you miss much more of purpose, even if you get provision and power, it actually destroys you. Therefore, probably you're here this afternoon, you've listened to this word, you've never given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ. That is where purpose is anchored. So I want to give you an opportunity. Maybe you're here, you're not born again. In the next one minute, Christ is inviting you. He's saying, Come, and I'll give you life, and I'll give you much more. And then the rest will follow. Provision will follow, power will follow, anointing will follow. And so if you're the one I'm speaking to, this is your moment. Whatever you are, you just need to lift up your hand. We're just about to bring this to a close. Anybody you haven't given your life to Christ and you're saying, I need the much more of purpose. Let me see by a show of hand. If you are at the pavilion, we have our leaders there. Just lift up your hand. Somebody will see you, somebody will locate you. Christ is inviting you to this grace this afternoon. Is there anyone who would like to give their life to Christ? If you are online, let us know, and we are also going to reach out to you. If that is you, if that is you, don't live without giving your life to Christ. Amen. Much more to all the ladies in Jesus' name. Much more to all the men in Jesus' name. Much more to all the young people in Jesus' name. Much more to the families in Jesus' name. Much more to our country in Jesus' name. Much more to Parklands Baptist Church in Jesus' name. I am also tempted to say much more for Manil fans. Much more for Liverpool fans. Much more to all of us in Jesus' name. Much more on Monday. Much more on Tuesday. Much more on Wednesday. Much more on Thursday. Much more on Friday. Much more on Saturday. And much more testimony on Sunday in Jesus' name. Hallelujah. Amen. And now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forevermore. Amen. And surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen. God bless you.
