What if salvation isn’t just a destination but a position you live from right now? We open Scripture to reframe a passive view of faith and reveal a threefold identity that reshapes how we pray, work, and love: chosen, royal, and holy. Drawing from 1 Peter 2:9–10 and Ephesians 2:4–10, we explore how God names our worth, grants access to His presence, and sends us with purpose grounded in grace.

First, we talk about value. You are not plastic décor to be dusted; you are a living work tended by God. “You are a chosen people” means worth is conferred, not achieved. When you receive that, the anxious need to prove yourself begins to loosen, and stewardship takes its place. We walk through practical ways this identity reshapes decisions, habits, and boundaries so your life can actually bloom in season.

Then we lean into royalty and priesthood. Royalty here is not status play—it is confidence under God’s authority. Priesthood is intercession and service. Together they form a posture that changes rooms: bold prayers, steady presence, and a willingness to stand in the gap for others. We connect this to everyday faith—workplaces, families, and neighbourhoods—showing how spiritual authority looks like blessing, listening, and faithful action.

Finally, we consider holiness as nearness. Belonging to God means living present to His presence, bringing your voice to Him often and honestly. From Ephesians, we anchor all of this in grace: you are alive with Christ, seated with Him, and sent into the good works He prepared. No boasting, just gratitude-fuelled obedience. If you’re ready to trade a ticket-to-heaven mindset for a lived identity that bears fruit, this conversation will meet you where you are and call you forward.

SPEAKER_00:

God is good, and all the time God is good, and that is nature. I thank God for this time to just bring you some word from the word of God, an encouragement that has really encouraged me in this month of uncommon positioning. We are in the time and age where, you know, Christians think that uh they have a ticket, a bus ticket to heaven, and that's enough. You know, I'm going to heaven, and uh that's it. Everything else remains as it is. But that's not the case because from the word of God, I realize that the Lord has positioned us in a key place. From the book of 1 Peter, chapter 2, verse 9 to 10. It says that, but you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. Verse 10. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God. Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. That verse has three points that I that I put down just to share with you. The title is Uncommon Positioning, and uh it has three points: position to value, position to royalty, and lastly, position to holiness. All that in verse 9. But you are a chosen people, you are a person of value, just as you are. Just if you look at the creation of God, I chose, I plucked one of these flowers from our garden here. It looks like a simple flower, but it's it's really expensive to maintain it, for it to remain this way. We normally have uh fake flowers that you can, you know, you can wipe it after some time and it remains fresh. But what about this one? Who wipes it in the garden? Who takes care of it? It will cost you to take care of this flower for it to remain the flower alive as it is, for it to bloom in its own season. But we are told in the word of God that you are more than this flower, you are valuable. This flower needs attention. You need to attend to it. It will cost you time, it will cost you some resources for you to make it even grow to be even more beautiful. And that's what God tells us here. You are a chosen people, he has chosen you. You are more than the flower. He takes his time and his attention to take care of you because you are chosen. At some point, he says that you did not choose me, but I chose you. And then you are positioned to royalty. Yeah? A royal priesthood. Just imagine the Old Testament. The priests they represented uh God, they represented the people in the holy of holies. You are in that position. You are positioned to royalty, you are a royal priesthood. And lastly, you are positioned to holiness, you are in the presence of God. God is there all the time, wanting you to hear, wanting to hear your voice. Just the same thing, you like listening to the voice of your child. He wants you also to be very present there. You are a holy nation, you are a royal priesthood, a people belonging to God. Verse 10 says, Once you are not a people, but now you are the people of God. Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Lastly, in uh Ephesians chapter 2, verse 4 to 10, the Bible says, But because of his great love for us, God who is rich in mercy made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions. It is by grace you have been saved, and God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. The uncommon position. Your position to value, your position to royalty, your position to holiness. Walk in the presence of the Lord in Jesus' name.
