April Theme Vision Week 3_The Art Of Prayer
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Most of us know what it feels like to run to God with a list of needs and then wonder why prayer feels scattered or thin. We wanted to slow things down and share a simple, grounded framework for Christian prayer that helps you connect with God as a person, not as a last-minute solution. Prayer is relationship, and relationships grow best when we learn how to speak and listen with care.
We model a clear pattern drawn from the Lord’s Prayer and break it into four easy movements you can remember: adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication. We talk about why adoration matters, how praising God first re-centres your heart, and why confession is not about shame but about honesty and restored closeness. We also spend time on gratitude because so many of us skip it, even though giving thanks for life, health, family, and church fellowship changes the tone of everything.
Then we move to supplication, bringing requests to God with a steadier confidence because worship, confession, and thanksgiving have already shaped our perspective. If you want a practical prayer routine, a better way to pray daily, and a simple method for spiritual growth, this conversation will give you a structure you can use immediately. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs encouragement in prayer, and leave a review telling us which step you want to practise more this week.

Welcome And Ongoing Prayer
SPEAKER_00Hi Paki family, it is always a joy to uh to connect with you on our media platform, and even as we did last Monday, we continue in the place of prayer. And for those who are listening to me, um both on our socials and live, we are praying that you get to be blessed, that we learn more about prayer. Even as we said last week, that uh prayer it is our relationship with God, it is not just a one-off thing, it is something that we got to know that we have to keep praying and connecting with God in our spiritual life or in our work with the Lord.
Modelling The Lord’s Prayer Pattern
SPEAKER_00So today I wanted us to model the prayer that uh we were given to pray. That is our father's prayer that we all know about. And if we can be able to connect well with our father's prayer, then we can be able to have a relationship that is all-rounded. And this this is what it includes.
Adoration Starts The Conversation
SPEAKER_00It includes um it includes our relationship with God, and this is whereby we adore God. We begin by adoring God, and in Psalms 145, verse 3 great is the Lord and most worthy to be praised. When we begin by adoring God, we are telling him how great he is, how gracious he is, how wonderful he is. We just don't begin by telling him many things other than adoring
Confession And God’s Forgiveness
SPEAKER_00him. The second thing is confession, uh, that is acknowledging our sins. You know, many are the times that we really fall short of the glory of God. But John 1, John 1 9 says, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us. So when we go to the Lord, as we adore him, as we exhort him, we should also be quick because many are the times we fall short of the glory of God that we confess of our sins.
Thanksgiving Before Asking
SPEAKER_00And then thirdly, we give thanks. Many are the times we are very quick to go to God with our hearts of asking, oh, for this, or for lament lamenting, other than even uh being grateful. Are you grateful for the life God has given you? Are you grateful for the gift of health? Are you grateful for the family that you belong in? Are you grateful for your church, Parklands Baptist, and any other church where you fellowship with other believers? It is important to be grateful for everything.
Supplication And Confident Requests
SPEAKER_00And then we go to supplication. And when we talk of supplication, it is uh whereby we are now able to bring our request to God. And when we bring our request to God, the Bible says in Matthew 7 7, ask and it will be given to you. So when we are asking now, we are comfortable because we can be able now to come to God because we have poured ourselves out in adoration, in confessing our sins, in um in thanksgiving of being grateful to God, and then bringing our supplication to God. That is how we should be able to connect with God in a nice way or in a good crafted way, so that the Lord can be able to connect with us in every dimension.
Wrap Up Blessing And Farewell
SPEAKER_00So, blessed brethren, I want to pray that as we have learned about arts, adoration, confession, um, adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication, that will help you even as you continue in your relationship with God through communicating to Him in prayer. God bless you. Have a fabulous week ahead. Amen.
