When Justice Feels Delayed
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Justice can feel slow when evil is loud. We start with Psalm 94, a fierce and honest prayer that refuses to gaslight suffering, names the arrogance of the wicked, and reminds us that God sees, God knows, and God will not abandon His people. If you’ve ever wanted words for the moment when you’re asking “How long?”, this passage gives you both language and a backbone.
From there we move into everyday battlegrounds that shape a life: peace at home and faithfulness under pressure. Proverbs 27 puts domestic conflict in blunt terms, and we talk about why a peaceful home strengthens marriages and families in ways people often underestimate. Then we read Luke 22, where Jesus tells His disciples to take supplies and even to buy a sword, and we sit with the tension of readiness and restraint as the story turns toward betrayal, temptation, and the moment Jesus stops the violence.
We also touch on courage and national memory through a World War II account of Francis Xavier Burke’s heroism, and we reflect on faith and liberty in American public life, including what it means to remove prayer and forget the God who gives life and freedom. The thread running through it all is a Christian worldview that takes Scripture seriously, prays for leaders, and calls a nation to turn back to Jesus Christ.
If this helped you think clearly and pray more honestly, subscribe, share the episode, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What line from Psalm 94 or Luke 22 stuck with you most?

SPEAKER_00Psalm 94, starting with verse 1. O Lord, the God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, let your glorious justice shine before. Arise, O judge of the earth, proud what they deserve. How long, O Lord, how long will they allow? How long will they speak with arrogance? How long will these evil people boast? February 2026, York, UK. Woman raped and sexually assaulted after being lured from a nightclub by Ed Anwar Najir, felled Egyptian Muslim asylum seeker who entered the UK illegally in 2022. That is Islam, folks. Peace At Home Matters
SPEAKER_00President, vice president on down, admirals, generals, senators, representatives, judges, governors, mayors, legislators, to the military law enforcement. Firefighters, EMS, please go out with those who defend us from evil. Protect them, keep them safe, bring them home safe to their families. Help our nation to turn back to you, Father, and to your son Jesus Christ. And guide my words here, please. Your son's name we pray. Amen. Proverbs 27, 15 through 16. A quarrelsome wife is like the dripping of a leaky roof in a rainstorm. Restraining her is like restraining the wind or grasping oil with a hand.
SPEAKER_01Having a home that is not peaceful is a huge deal.
Why Jesus Mentions Swords
Psalm 94 On Wicked Rulers
Wise Words And Real Work
Book Review And Support Requests
SPEAKER_00In a bad way, whereas having a home that is peaceful is also a huge deal, but in a positive way, it makes the marriage stronger, the family stronger. Luke 22, 35 through 53. Then Jesus asked them, his disciples, When I sent you out to preach the good news, and you did not have money, a traveler's bag or an extra pair of sandals, did you need anything? No, they replied. But now he said, Take your money and a traveler's bag, and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. For the time has come for this prophecy about me to be fulfilled. He was counted among the rebels. Yes, everything written about me by the prophets will come true. Look, Lord, they replied, we have two swords among us. That's enough, he said. We need to remember that verse too, today, folks. Too many times we try and take out anything that seems to tend toward violence. And that's just that doesn't match with scripture. He tells his disciples here to take swords. In fact, he tells each one of them at first. Then, accompanied by the disciples, Jesus left the upstairs room and went as usual to the Mount of Olives. There he told them, Pray that you will not give into temptation. He walked away about a stone's throw and knelt down and prayed. Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine. Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him. He prayed more fervently, and he was in such agony of spirit that his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood. At last he stood up again and returned to the disciples only to find them asleep, exhausted from grief. Why are you sleeping? he asked. But even as Jesus said this, a crowd approached, led by Judas, one of the twelve disciples. Judas walked over to Jesus to greet him with a kiss, but Jesus said, Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss? When the other disciples saw what was about to happen, they exclaimed, Lord, should we fight? We brought the swords. And one of them struck at the high priest's slave, slashing off his right ear. But Jesus said, No more of this. And he touched the man's ear and healed him. Then Jesus spoke to the leading priests, the temp the captains of the temple guard and the elders who had come for him. Am I some dangerous revolutionary? He asked, that you come with swords and clubs to arrest me? Why didn't you arrest me in the temple? I was there every day. But this is your moment, the time when the power of darkness reigns. Psalm 94, verses 1 through 23. O Lord, the God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, let your glorious justice shine forth. Arise, O Judge of the earth, give the proud what they deserve. How long, O Lord, how long will the wicked be allowed to gloat? How long will they speak with arrogance? How long will these evil people boast? They crush your people, Lord, hurting those you claim as your own. They kill widows and foreigners, they mort murder orphans. The Lord isn't looking, they say. And besides, the God of Israel doesn't care. Think again, you fools. When will you finally catch on? Is he deaf, the one who made your ears? Is he blind, the one who formed your eyes? He punishes the nations. Won't he also punish you? He knows everything. Doesn't he also know what you are doing? The Lord knows people's thoughts. He knows they are worthless. Joyful are those you discipline, Lord, those you teach with your instructions until a pit is dug to capture the wicked. The Lord will not reject his people, he will not abandon his special possession. Judgment will again be founded on justice, and those with virtuous hearts will pursue it. Who will protect me from the wicked? Who will stand up for me against evildoers? Unless the Lord had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. I cried out, I am slipping. But your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Can unjust leaders claim that God is on their side? Leaders whose decrees permit injustice. They gang up against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the Lord is my fortress. My God is the mighty rock where I hide. God will turn the sins of evil people back on them. He will destroy them for their sins. The Lord our God will destroy them. Proverbs 14, verses 3 through 4. A fool's proud talk becomes a rod that beats him, but the words of the wise keep him safe. Without oxen, a stable stays clean, but you need a strong ox for a large harvest. It's a pretty good one to go back to, right? 17, 18, and 19 of Psalm 94, unless the Lord had helped me. But your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Countryside, Book of the Wise. Grooming Gang Case Recalled
A WWII Story Of Courage
Faith And Liberty In Public Life
Repentance And Final Blessing
SPEAKER_00Luke with his family, a new circle of friends, and in a brand new world is dead center in the mystery and mag of a lifetime. I know it's a middle school book, but I'm now hooked on the mystery of it all. Very kind five-star Amazon review from MPS on Amazon. And I can get there. 2001-2006, Rockdale River, Manchester, UK. Two girls started at age 13, groomed, plied with alcohol, repeatedly picked by a gang of seven men, all Muslims from Pakistan, led by Market Traitor Mohammed Zahid. Francis Xavier Burke, first lieutenant, World War II, Bullet Company, 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry, 3rd Infantry Division, U.S. Army, April 17th, 1945, Nuremberg, Germany. He fought with extreme gallantry in the steep streets of War Turn for Nuremberg, Germany, where the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry was engaged in rooting out fanatical defenders of the citadel of Nazism. As battalion transportation officer, he came forward to select a motor pool site and desire to perform more than his assigned duties to participate in the fight, he advanced beyond the lines of the forward riflemen. Detecting a group of about 10 Germans making preparations for a local counterattack, he rushed back to a nearby American company, secured a machine gun with ammunition, and daringly opened fire on the Superior Force, which deployed and returned his fire on machine pistols, rifles, and rocket launchers. From another angle, a German machine gun tried to blast him for his empanement, but first Lieutenant Burke killed this gun crew and drove off the survivors of the unit he had originally attacked. Giving his next attention to any infantrymen in ruined buildings, he picked up a rifle and dashed more than 100 yards through intense fire and engaged the Germans from behind an abandoned truck. A sniper nearly hit him from a cellar only 20 yards away, but he dispatched this adversary by running directly to the basement window, firing a full clip into it and then plunging through the darkened aperture to complete the job. He would drew the fight only long enough to replace his jammed rifle and secure grenades, then re-engaged the Germans. Finding his shots ineffective, he pulled the pins from two grenades and holding one in each hand, rushed to the enemy-held building, hurling his missiles just as an enemy threw a pistomasher grenade at him. In the triple explosion, the Germans were wiped out, and first Lieutenant Burke was dazed. But he emerged from the shower of debris that engulfed him, recovered his rifle, and went on to kill three more Germans and meet the charge of a machine pistolman, whom he cut down. He then retired toward the American lines and there assisted a platoon in a raging third against formidable armed hostile forces. This enemy group was repulsed, and the intrepid fighter moved to another enemy group, which broke the power of a German unit armed with a 20 millimeter gun in a fierce firefight. In four hours of heroic action, First Lieutenant Burke-handedly killed 11 and wounded three enemy soldiers and took a leading role in engagements in which an additional 29 enemies were killed or wounded. His extraordinary prayer and superb fighting skill were an inspiration to his comrades, and his entire voluntary movement into extremely dangerous territory hastened the fall of Nuremberg and his battalion sector. Accredited to Jersey City, New Jersey, not awarded posthumously, December 18, 1945 at the White House by President Harry Truman, born September 29th, 1918, New York, died September 6, 1988, New Jersey. Buried Veterans Memorial Cemetery, MHKNAC, 1894, Arnyton, New Jersey. Francis Xavier Burke. That was delivered shortly after the Supreme Court declared prayers at school unconstitutional. Man, that's killed us. The same phrase, in large words, inscribed in the marble, backdrops the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Above the head of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Ten Commandments, with the great American Eagle protecting them. Moses is included among the great lawgivers in Herman McNeil's marble sculpture group on the East Front. The crier who opens each session closes with the words, God save the United States and this honorable court. On the south banks of Washington's tidal basin, Thomas Jefferson still speaks. God, who gave us life, gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are God? Indeed, I tremble from my country when I reflect that God is just. If we don't, as a people, turn in Jesus Christ. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not to temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen. God bless y'all. God bless your families. God bless your marriages if you're married. God bless your nation around the world. You're listening. God bless America. We'll talk to y'all again, folks. Looking forward to it.
