Show Notes

This week's episode of Ghana in Focus is Part One of  a three part series looking at Land and Building in Ghana.  This episode focuses on Land acquisition.

Land in Ghana is a very contentious issue because it is a prime commodity that can be used to build, farm or develop .  Land is also contentious because many people from the diaspora have been burnt by greedy individuals who have sold land to multiple people.  This presentation aims to inform and educate people so as to avoid these pitfalls.

We go through the types of lands such as stool and family that are available in Ghana and analyse the steps and processes to secure land in a legally binding way including land search and land registration.

We strongly advise people from the diaspora to acquire the services of a lawyer well versed in land issues so as to avoid litigation.
