All right, this was Donald's idea. This was not my idea. He's gonna make us play the newlywed game.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yes. This is good for you.
SPEAKER_04Even though we've been married for 20 years.
SPEAKER_0220 years. We're playing the newlywed game. This is Emily, my lovely wife and COO of Dragon Steel, because Dan is on vacation. So, Donald, explain to the audience what the newlywed game is.
SPEAKER_00Happily will. So, as you might notice, our two lovely contestants are apart from one another. They have with them a whiteboard that they're going to write an answer on, dependent upon the question. They're both going to answer the question with the objective being that they write the same thing. I have a list of questions here that we will see if they are able to come up with the same answer. We have some that are character-specific to both Emily and to Brandon, and just a general question to see what they got. Okay. Are you ready, contestants? Yes. Ready. Alrighty. We're going to start with what is Emily's favorite book.
SPEAKER_02What is Emily's favorite book?
SPEAKER_00Now, the fun of this audience, in case it is not clear, is Brandon has to somehow determine what will Emily write as her favorite book. And then when you're ready.
SPEAKER_02I guess that would be the first one. But I think I'm gonna get this wrong.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah? Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Alright.
SPEAKER_00Are we ready to show? Yep. Three, two, one, show. Oh, I did get it right. The blue sword. Alrighty, there we go. The blue sword.
SPEAKER_02The blue sword, Robert McKinley. I worried you would write Warbreaker. Because I wrote it on our honeymoon.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and that's the Blue Sword's kind of like my historically favorite.
SPEAKER_02Childhood favorite book.
SPEAKER_04It was the book that I really loved and read every year. People always ask me what is my favorite of your books. And I do have a special place in my heart for Warbreaker for lots of reasons. But it's always like, well, whatever book he's writing at the moment, that's my favorite, you know?
SPEAKER_02So The Blue Sword, it's a fantastic book. I read it when I was 16 and absolutely thought it was awesome. And then when we got married, when we were dating, you mentioned it was your favorite sword, so I went back and read it. So I've read it twice.
SPEAKER_04And it stands up.
SPEAKER_02It's really great.
SPEAKER_04A lot better than some of the others that I really liked as a kid.
SPEAKER_02The blue sword is a lot like it's a classic archetype. It's the Avatar James Cameron or a little bit dances with wolves. But it's more like the last samurai type thing, like that one where it's a person who has to join with this culture that they think is like that's very different from their own. Very different from their own, maybe considered less advanced or whatever, but it's a woman and she goes off and there's like kind of steppe people, Mongolian horse lord type people. Yeah. A little bit. It's they're they're kind of Arabian, aren't they? It is kind of an Arabian. They're more like Bedouins than they are. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Partly just because Dune is the same, same archetype.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04But but I hadn't read any of that stuff. And I had either. I'm like this cool magic system, very soft magic system, but you know, and strong female protagonist and horses and swords. Like you were a horse girl. I was a horse girl. She was a horse girl. Very much. Okay, okay. Yeah. So and horses, it's not just there are horses, they're part of the story. And you know.
SPEAKER_00So, gotcha. Okay, are we ready for the second question? All right, second question. All right, Emily, this is really testing you. What is Brandon's favorite magic card?
SPEAKER_04Then I have to actually remember some magic cards.
SPEAKER_02Maybe he's talked about it enough. Can you remember? This is a little unfair. This is a little unfair. If you would have asked me what her favorite of her toy horses when she was a girl was, I would not have been able to answer that. But, you know, being book people, all right. All right. I wrote Vesuvan Doppelganger. Oh, Chaos Confetti is a pretty good guess. That's a great choice.
SPEAKER_04That's a very good guess. I was gonna put Black Lotus, but Ah.
SPEAKER_02Safe bet. It's one of the cards.
SPEAKER_04What is that one? I don't even know anything about it.
SPEAKER_02It's just got cool art, and it's one of the first ones that I opened up. And it's Hey, tell me what it is again. I'll I'll remember this for next time doppelganger.
SPEAKER_04Vesuvan Doppelganger.
SPEAKER_02There you go. So it's very branded. Yeah. Jordo has a giant green monster, because in magic, green is the color of giant monsters that's just gonna beat your face in. And blue plays a, oh, I have one of those too. And Vesuvan Doppelganger is that. I just copies theirs. Or blue copies, steals, or whatever. Doesn't have its own cool things, it just takes everything.
SPEAKER_04That's a very branded card.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. There you go. Alrighty. This is a general question. When did you officially start quote unquote dating? According to you.
SPEAKER_02According to us.
SPEAKER_00Like, how do you define dating? That's up to you guys. When do you define starting dating? That's why this is open-ended.
SPEAKER_02No, I don't think you can ask that question, like, because we can both mention when our first date was. Are we dating when we go on our first date?
SPEAKER_04I would say when you decide you're not dating other people. Yeah, that's what you mean. Yes.
SPEAKER_00Because we were going out on dates. Fair enough. No, no, no, that's fair. Okay. Yeah. When did the relationship when did it become exclusive, if you will? And for audio listeners, they are writing, as you might suspect.
SPEAKER_02There we are. We are writing. All right. I got it. Okay. I see Emily's. This one's easy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02We're both going to say the same thing. Yeah. All right. Three. But in different ways. One. Go. We've got the Batman Knight. The Batman night. That we referenced. Okay. That makes sense. January 2006.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02No, um 2005.
SPEAKER_04No, six. You got married in six. Oh, yeah, that's true. We met in 2005. Yeah. Okay. But it was November, so.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Did you like say, when did you two know? Was it very much just like we are now in a relationship?
SPEAKER_04Or I mean, we were both 30. And so by that time we'd been on lots of dates, and it wasn't if you don't see something going anywhere, then you're not going to go on any more dates. And so we didn't have a full DTR, did we? But we talked about being exclusive.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_04And I said you had to kiss me first and then I would decide.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Okay. Alrighty. On to the fourth question. Another Emily one. Out of any living or dead people, who would Emily want to meet the most? Any. Any. Any. Yes.
SPEAKER_04That's a hard one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. We're testing the knowledge. I feel like this is kind of a bad question. And we'll see in a minute why. This is fair. Because you've already written yours. I think for any religious person, there's only one answer. I don't think it is the right answer. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Yep. That's why it's a bad question. You have to exclude religious figures.
SPEAKER_00All right, so let's exclude.
SPEAKER_02Let's go. We can exclude. It's very easy to be like if you're if you're a Christian, it's like, who do you want to meet? Yes, I want to meet Jesus. All right. Good point. Good point. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That is kind of funny.
SPEAKER_02It's good that we both got it, but yeah. All right. Now who's she going to want to meet? So exclude exclude religious figures, exclude ancestors. Meaning you probably I'd like to meet.
SPEAKER_04So it can be a historical figure. It's living or dead, or do we just say dead?
SPEAKER_00I said living or dead.
SPEAKER_04So someone who is living right now.
SPEAKER_00Living or dead.
SPEAKER_02Living or dead, but not like because I think it's too easy to be like, I'd really like to meet my grandfather that I never you know what I mean. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00No, you're right. We can exclude ancestors from living.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_00But historical figures are totally free game. Like Genghis Khan, go for it.
SPEAKER_04I wouldn't like to meet Genghis Khan. No one actually.
SPEAKER_02No one wants to meet Genghis Khan. No one wants to meet Genghis Khan. Except Donald. Oh good. Yeah. I know that many of the people that are living that you would want to meet, you have.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So I mean, it's hard too because meet someone is not the same as know someone, you know? Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like, who do you want to actually just meet? I have no idea.
SPEAKER_04Just to say that I've met them.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Shot in the dark. Shot in the dark. Okay. We'll see what she says. Yeah. Alrighty. I'm just going with something easy, but Okay. Three, two, one, go. Jane Austen. Ah, Ann McCaffrey. Oh, okay. Yep. Yeah, I could have guessed.
SPEAKER_00Hey, at least you were in the author territory. Mm-hmm. Why am I going to be able to do that?
SPEAKER_04Jane Austen would be a good one. I just think she was an interesting person and she was writing at a time when a lot of women weren't writing that type of at least weren't well known for that. And the whole, you know, Pern books were such a huge influence on me. And I would like to ask her. She has a home in Ireland that's called like Dragon. She did, obviously. She's passed away, called Dragonhaven. And I just think that's super cool. I would love to like go to her home when she was alive and talk with her.
SPEAKER_02I met her. That's right, you did. Yep. But it was not much of a meeting. I sat next to her at a big book signing. She was already in a wheelchair. Her signing line was huge. I just waved and said I.
SPEAKER_04Gotcha. I got a book signed by Lloyd Alexander when he was quite old, not too long before he came together.
SPEAKER_02He came to Utah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he came to BYU. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So cool. I remember when that happened. I was in undergraduate.
SPEAKER_04That's one of the uh perks of my job is I get to meet authors.
SPEAKER_00Alrighty. This is a Brandon one.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_00What is Brandon's secret talent, quote unquote?
SPEAKER_02Quote unquote?
SPEAKER_00Yes. What what do you consider secret, quote unquote, for your your talent that Emily does Brandon have any secrets?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I know what it is.
SPEAKER_00Ooh, alright. And for those who are wondering while they write, yes, these are all questions are from me, and you can absolutely make fun of me in the comments if you are like, these are bad questions. Okay. I see that Emily is finished. Let's reveal in three, two, one.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. Hers is pretty good. Alright.
SPEAKER_00I can't read them, so it's knowing what what is it?
SPEAKER_02I know what time it is generally. Okay. That is probably the true sequence. But it's only in comparison to Emily because she has no idea what time it is ever. Ah, okay. Time blindness. What time is it? And I'll be like, ah, it's like like right now. It's like seven, right just after seven. Oh, yep.
SPEAKER_007.04.
SPEAKER_027.06. You're off my time. I just kind of always know what time it is within, you know, less than like 15 minutes. Yeah, no, but super close. And it doesn't matter. That's probably the real secret. And that's a that's but I think a lot of people are like that. It's just your mom's like that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But I had no idea that people were like that. Because I like I have actual time blindness. I d I have no idea what time it is. I don't know how long something's gonna take me. It just, you know, it's an ADHD thing. And so I'm very glad that Brandon has that talent because he uh keeps me from being too late all the time.
SPEAKER_02But what she said is true as well. Did you see what she said? I didn't see what did you say?
SPEAKER_04That every uh horizontal surface will be covered with magic cards.
SPEAKER_02I'm pretty good that if there's a space that I can put my magic cards in, I will eventually start sorting them and ostentially start putting them in piles.
SPEAKER_04And they just multiply and they just cover every surface. Gotcha. I was thinking of that one because I had to go clean off part of your game table so that our son could use it. And so I was finding piles of magic cards and putting them in boxes and hoping that yeah, I wouldn't mess anything up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Scar's been taking them in to have them go through like the machine. Oh very nice. And there was there's a Badlands he found. What? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's a crazy find. Love it. Um, so alright. Next question. Okay. You both get teleported into the Cosmere. This is for the fans. Which planet do you go to?
SPEAKER_02Do we want to go to, or is it just uh want to go to. Which one do you want to go to? Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Do we get to go as a magic user or just as a regular person?
SPEAKER_02I think it's us getting teleported. Yes. You've been portal fantasy din. Okay. You get your isekai. Yes. You'll get to choose. As you're traveling there, the being that is isekaiing you says, Well, where do you want to go?
SPEAKER_00Now, do you end up on the same planet? Let's see.
SPEAKER_02I have to be honest on these questions. I've answered this one before. So if I do something funky, because I almost was like, oh, let's just add a planet they don't know about yet. But they know. They know where I would want to be.
SPEAKER_00All right. Let's reveal in three, two, one. Uh okay, Scadril, and we've got Roshar from Emily.
SPEAKER_02All right. But that's not an illyway question because you had to ask, what would Brandon do or what would Emily do? Yeah. So we have to guess.
SPEAKER_04I probably would have put for you, I probably would have put Scadrill.
SPEAKER_00I've seen this done both ways, where it's can you find the same answer to the same question?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, but you said you get or I would put Emily on a different planet.
SPEAKER_04Where would you where would you send me?
SPEAKER_02I would send you probably to Nalthis.
SPEAKER_04Yeah?
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Hmm. Well now, Emily, we have to ask, where would you send Brandon if you could Scandriel? They have computers. I can write.
SPEAKER_02Like, I don't want to go to any planet that doesn't have a word processor.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_02Right. Fair enough.
SPEAKER_04Because, you know, stylus and a tablet are just too slow.
SPEAKER_00Okay. All right. Well, next question. What is Emily's favorite snack? Oh boy.
SPEAKER_04I know what you're gonna put.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, that's what you're supposed to do. You're supposed to put down what you think the other person is gonna put. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_04Even if it's not what I actually are changing.
SPEAKER_02All right. I'm changing the game. All right. Let's see if I can write down what is actually afterward. Okay. Bonus answer. Bonus answer. Yeah. What you would actually write. But I know what she's going to write. Okay. But what she would write if she weren't playing the newlywed game. What would it be? Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_00Let's see. Because I see Emily's got her bonus answer. Yeah. Um. All right.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Let me barely read this. All right. Okay. So the official answer is circus peanuts. Okay. The second answer is Reese's eggs. Oh. Yeah. Okay. Why both? All right. Go ahead, Emily. You can tell from the story.
SPEAKER_04So I like circus peanuts. They're those really gross marshmallow-y things that are orange and squishy. And I think they're actually like banana flavored. But for some reason, I just really like them. And I've I found them to be quite divisive. People either love them or hate them. And I love them. I I don't know why I just do.
SPEAKER_02They're not our absolute favorite, but they've become a meme. Yeah. Because she says she likes them. And half the people are like, that's nasty. But what does she actually like? She likes Reese's peanut butter cups. But she doesn't like the Reese's peanut butter cups as much as she likes the eggs from Easter time. Because the ratio of chocolate to peanut butter is better in the Reese's eggs.
SPEAKER_04And the chocolate's softer. Like the peanut butter cups have kind of the hard wavy edge and the Reese's eggs.
SPEAKER_02So we both got both of those. That's pretty good. That was pretty impressive. The real answer and the for the camera's answer.
SPEAKER_00There you go. Alrighty. This is one that I think will be hard, maybe. What is Brandon's favorite flower?
SPEAKER_04Real or imagined.
SPEAKER_00I went with real. Does Brandon know his favorite flower?
SPEAKER_03Hmm.
SPEAKER_00Alrighty.
SPEAKER_02See if she managed to write it.
SPEAKER_00Yep, let's flip.
SPEAKER_02Dead ones. Because of allergies. Modi's allergic to them. Whoa! Okay. That was pretty impressive. I actually had none. But then I thought dead ones was funnier. So I erased it and wrote dead ones. So we did get the same answer.
SPEAKER_04Ben's allergic to everything. Oh, I didn't know this. Yes. Well, I wouldn't say, but I mean your common environmental allergies. I made him go to the allergist, you know, fairly early on in our marriage, because I'm like, maybe we can figure out something to help you with your allergies. And the list of all the different plants one could possibly be allergic to, he was allergic to all of them.
SPEAKER_00Gotcha.
SPEAKER_02So Okay. And so we'll go outside and it's springtime and I play it up because I take an allergy pill. It doesn't actually bother me anymore. But I play it up and there's all these beautiful buds. And Emily's like, oh, spring. And I'm like, kill them. When will the summer come that'll burn all of these terrible plants away? I think that part of we've talked about this, part of the reason I like rainy days. And she doesn't because that affects her mood. I do because rain washes the pollen out of the air, and I feel better on rainy days. And I think it goes all the way back. I can remember being in second grade and crying on the floor with a wet towel over my eyes because that's the while the teacher could do the free. Because of my bad hay fever. Yeah. Dang. And it was terrible until the modern versions of antihistamines when they came up with Zyrtech and Claritin. Because what do you do? You take a Benadryl and then you fall asleep. That's not good. Or you lay under the table, being too young to not note or not rub your eyes. By the time I was in middle school, I knew not to rub my eyes. Like I didn't like it, but it wasn't nearly as miserable. Right. But when you're a little kid, you just can't. Yeah. And then I got clarit in like in my 20s, and that was a game changer. So gotcha.
SPEAKER_00Well, I feel like we have to flip the question then. What is Emily's favorite flower? Can you do that one? Is this too easy? It's pretty easy. All right. Let's flip it.
SPEAKER_02Gerbera daisies, not roses.
SPEAKER_00Oh, is there a difference?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Gerbera Daisy is a type of daisy. But just she doesn't like roses in the way that roses are cliched and overdone. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's not not like I hate roses. I think roses are beautiful and smell great. But if you're gonna give me flowers, I like some that are different.
SPEAKER_02She likes a good variety pack. Yeah. If there's a rose or two in there, she'll actually like that. But she doesn't want a dozen roses. She wants a variety pack. And Gerbera Daisy's is the one she brings up that she likes the best. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Hey, it's very easy. All right. Well, leaning into the couples thing, excluding your wedding and proposal, what is your favorite couple moment?
SPEAKER_02Oh dear. Oh no, that's gonna be hard. 20 years? Excuse the proposal. You're smart on this one. That would have been the easy answer. Favorite couples moment from 20 years.
SPEAKER_04The ones that we can actually say on camera?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Ones you can say on camera. Uh-huh. We have to exclude kid moments too. Yeah, kids would be too easy. I agree.
SPEAKER_00It's too easy. It has to be the two of us. The two of you. Couple moments. And no one else. And no one else. Yep.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because I was going to put Joel baby, but that's that's not answering the question. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00The intent, you understand the intent. Yep.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I thought this one would be tricky.
SPEAKER_01Favorite. Favorite.
SPEAKER_02Excluding what proposal?
SPEAKER_00Excluding proposal and marriage.
SPEAKER_04But not excluding.
SPEAKER_02Not excluding.
SPEAKER_00Oh, alright, alright. We can include the marriage and honeymoon at the same time, right? Okay, what about dating? Dating is totally free game.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_00See, the reason, audience, why I picked this one in specific is I I forget that you guys have been married for 20 years, so you've got a lot of history to pick from.
SPEAKER_02So I'm just trying to think, like, we have a lot of everything is great moments. Yeah. But are there specific moments?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, can you pick one? And will you pick the same one? That's the big one. There are a few, it sounds like Emily, you're going through with your mind. Alright. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Are you confident in this answer, Brandon? Oh no. Twenty years. Twenty years. Fair enough. There's a lot of good moments. There are a lot of good moments. And thankfully, favorite is. Think of what would be the And favorite is subjective, audience, because clearly the intent of the question is, right, we're we're trying to lock it down to one but both can guess at the same time. It's gonna be hard. Okay.
SPEAKER_04I want to just write a a dumb one. Okay. Just to make you laugh.
SPEAKER_00Alright. I think Emily gotta lock one in soon.
SPEAKER_01What would be the dumb one she would say? That's what I'm wondering. Yeah. What would be the dumb one?
SPEAKER_00Can you think of something that you've done that's instrumentally dumb that's so funny for you to?
SPEAKER_02I'll write the dumb one as well.
SPEAKER_00Okay, bonus question, dumb one. Yep. Audio listeners, I should say. You should watch this on uh on camera.
SPEAKER_04And are we excluding proposal, marriage, honeymoon, all of that? Yeah, I'm not sure. Those are the dates.
SPEAKER_00No, dating is totally free.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Alright. I've written a one number one, a number two, and a dumb.
SPEAKER_00Okay. We got a couple. He's covering his bases. It makes sense. Alrighty. Do you want to do multiple emily? Are you content with the one? One is fine with me. I just was Yeah, you've got a couple. All right. I think we're good. We can flip it this time. All right.
SPEAKER_02All right. Let's flip them over. You're gonna say what my number two is. Nope. First kiss. First kiss. And what did you do? I wrote Castaway Island Fiji. Oh, okay. That was pretty cool. That was pretty cool. Number two was HMS Penafore when she made a joke on our first date about the thing, and then she panicked because she thought that.
SPEAKER_04Well, because see, in my family, during plays and movies and stuff like that, we make stupid comments to each other. But I had done that with friends and on dates in the past and had the person just be really confused and annoyed that I was talking. And so I made some dumb comment about the play, and then I was like, oh no. And then Radan made a dumb comment back, and I was like, He gets my sense of humor.
SPEAKER_02So that's what was my best guess for what you'd write. First guess is very Emily, though. We just had a very romantic time on Castaway Island in Fiji. It was really nice. I really liked it. The bonus is French cat hits the door of a cafe. Wait, what? Okay. You clearly got this. So there's the dumb internet video that I saw. Oh that what happened is there's this newscast happening, and they're just they're talking about like a bakery being closed. Okay. Right? Bakery strike or something like that. It's in French, but they're just straight up and they cut to B-roll.
SPEAKER_04Like they don't even cut to it. It's just in the background. It's just in the background. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And they're talking about it in French. And there's the bakery. And the door is open, and a cat comes running along the sidewalk and hits the glass door and bounces off of it. And the newscasters just keep talking.
SPEAKER_04They kind of look behind them and say something, but Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And it's it's and this is the first time I showed Emily. Like I thought, oh, that's funny. I showed it to her. She about died. She was laughing so much.
SPEAKER_04In my defense, it was very late at night.
SPEAKER_02You all you only show dumb internet videos to Emily late at night. Okay. And she started just giggling. She could not stop giggling. And this is the first time that I got something that got that much reaction. And so now I watch for videos of animals doing dumb things and running into walls or things. She doesn't want them to actually get hurt. No. The idea of like this video is so funny because it's so incongruous. Right. But also, there's a sort of you know slapstick humor to it. Yeah. So that's when I learned what would really make Emily laugh. Okay. So that's the dumb one. That is a favorite moment of, ooh, I now have a button to push. Let's see if I can find videos like this.
SPEAKER_04And he does. And he shows them to me late at night, and I almost die of laughter.
SPEAKER_00I love it. All right. We got a couple last few. Okay. We'll go through them. All right. If Brandon could only play one video game for the rest of his life, what's he playing? I think I know what the answer is, but I'm not confident in it. I think you and I have the same answer, Emily. Yeah, we do. Okay.
SPEAKER_04No peeking.
SPEAKER_00No peeking.
SPEAKER_04Uh oh, he's writing long stuff.
SPEAKER_00Here it is. Alright, let's see it. Uh, okay.
SPEAKER_04Oh, should have known Civ. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So Civ is more replayable. Yeah. Like I would maybe rank Elden Ring above it as a game, but because there's so many different civilizations, yes, I would need something that is more roguelike to be the only game I can keep playing.
SPEAKER_04And you do that with Civ. Like you'll play it over and over with different scenarios and as different people. Yeah. Yeah, that that makes more sense.
SPEAKER_02It is a tragedy of my life that Civ 7 just didn't click with me because I have been I waited to be. We're so excited for it. So excited. They've got a new revision coming up in two weeks that they are saying might fix some of the things. And a lot of people have been playing it over the years. I don't have time to just Right. Yeah. Yeah. They've said that it's gotten better and better and better. So hopefully Civ 6 will eventually be a game that is fun to me as four, five, and six were and one. I didn't get to play two or three as much. I didn't have a computer then. Right.
SPEAKER_04But I played some Civ games on the iPad. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Civilization Revolution, which they took down because they just didn't keep updated. And so you can't get it anymore, which is really annoying because it was a nice. It was like Civ 4, but a little simplified rules. But for dummies. Cool. I played it a ton too. So if it's for dummies, then I'm a dummy.
SPEAKER_00Alrighty. This is an Emily one. If Emily could only have one food for the rest of her life, what would she have? And this will sustain you perfectly. You'll stay alive, healthy, and everything. One food. One food.
SPEAKER_02Circus peanuts. I would get tired of circus peanuts. I would get tired of everything. I would be tired of everything. Yeah. But what is acceptable?
SPEAKER_04Acceptable?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Alright. I'm gonna I'm gonna put that.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna write one that I doubt you're gonna write.
SPEAKER_00Alright. He's writing us, he's got his bonus. Three, two, one, go.
SPEAKER_02I wrote salad.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02Uh fruit, that's a pretty they're similar. Yeah, yeah. A thing that has some variety to itself. Yeah. That's probably actually a better idea. Salad is probably cheating because it's a genre. But fruit is too. Yeah, I suppose that's true. Um it was almost gonna be soup. But soup, their genre.
SPEAKER_04Soup is a genre, yeah. And soup, you know, you don't want to eat soup on a hot summer day. No. Like I can eat salad any day.
SPEAKER_02So yeah. So you should change your answer to salad. I bet you'd be happier if you're eating salad. Fruit salad. Fruit salad. Yeah, there you go. Fruit. We do like fruit.
SPEAKER_00But fruit is a genre. We both cheated. You both did cheat, but we'll we'll be nice. It was uh we're we similar answers. All right. Last one. Okay. You can only keep one thing before it's destroyed. We'll assume from like your house. Kids are safe, pets are safe. Okay. You get one thing to take from home, what do you take? You're both perfectly safe afterwards. Right, right.
SPEAKER_02So we have to write it for ourselves and for our spouse.
SPEAKER_00Yes. What are you taking? What are they taking? And what is she taking?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00Um was it easier to answer for you, Brandon, or for her?
SPEAKER_02It's easier for me. Okay. And she has a really good chance of getting mine. Okay. But I don't have a very good chance of getting hers. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I'm changing mind. Okay.
SPEAKER_00And we'll do what are you taking first? What am I taking first?
SPEAKER_02Can you have mine written down yet, Em? Yes.
SPEAKER_00You can have both written down, that's fine. But just for the audience. Alright, let's flip them over.
SPEAKER_02For me?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I I wrote both of them on. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's perfect. That's perfect.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, my cube.
SPEAKER_00Okay. What is Emily taking?
SPEAKER_02Some magic card. Emily, did you write down yours? No, I didn't write mine. Okay. You didn't see mine that I wrote for you. I didn't work. So she got mine.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, she got yours.
SPEAKER_02Can I get hers? What would I Really?
SPEAKER_00The cube would be the first thing you I'm assuming we're talking about the power cube.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. What other object Right. There's nothing else. It's all right.
SPEAKER_02It would have been my computer, except now the computer is stored in the cloud. Right. Okay. And so I don't have to save the computer anymore. The computer is a is Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's the hard thing because I don't really care about stuff. I got two things. Two things.
SPEAKER_02I crossed out one and wrote the second, but it could be either one. I'm curious if you'll get the same ones. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Hmm.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the cloud does help a lot with this because photos at this point, you're like, I'm not saving the old photo album. They're all digitized. So okay, I see Emily's got it. Let's do it.
SPEAKER_02Her journal.
SPEAKER_00Oh. She wrote her guitar.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. That's that's a good one. I wrote your rose petals first from our first date. You still have those? Yeah. Wow. Yeah. But then I'm like, no, the journals are more important than the rose petals. Is the guitar more important than the journals?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. Because it was my dad's.
SPEAKER_00Is your dad's guitar? Oh, that was gonna be my question. He gave it a guitar.
SPEAKER_04And I don't even play it very well, but just having it is special. Right.
SPEAKER_00No, it totally makes sense. All right. Well, before we go, I'll I'll open it to you. Do either of you have one you want to ask before we close out?
SPEAKER_02No, don't ask us stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00That's too hard. Okay.
SPEAKER_02That's the harder question. That is the harder question. I think we did pretty good. I think you did too. You guys, you surprised stay married.
SPEAKER_00All right. 20 years in July. Dang. Mm-hmm. Alrighty. Well, I think that's it from us. Brandon, you want to close us out? How's that, Emily?
