She started off her career teaching Home science to students in the prestigious Mount Carmel College of Bangalore. She quit her teaching profession and then started off on her own. She explored and ventured into the business of  hand embroidery to bring awareness of Kasuti from North Karnataka.

Her love for Kasuti is very much visible in each and every product that she designs and that has been widely accepted and appreciated by the people who got to interact and know about her unique designs.
