Welcome to Blue Genes and Boots everyone!


In this episode, Serina Taluja and Ramiah Vickers host the Chair of the Genetics IDP here at Texas A&M, Dr. David Threadgill, to discuss current research in his lab and advice to heed when applying for and beginning graduate school.


Dr. Threadgill received his B.S. in Zoology as well as a Ph.D. in Genetics from TAMU. After appointments at Vanderbilt University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Threadgill returned to Aggieland in 2013 as faculty at the TAMU Health Science Center. In addition to being the Chair of the Genetics IDP, Dr. Threadgill holds joint appointments in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics and the Department of Molecular and Cellular Medicine. He is also the Director of the Texas A&M Institute for Genome Sciences and Society. Tune in as we get the inside scoop from the man in charge!
