And the city, through"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1133.03,"endTime":1136.3,"body":"their credit was very good about"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1136.3,"endTime":1140.17,"body":"selecting a nice cross section"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1136.3,"endTime":1140.17,"body":"of people from all levels of"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1140.17,"endTime":1143.86,"body":"life from young people to"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1140.17,"endTime":1143.86,"body":"seniors, and they also selected"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1143.86,"endTime":1146.05,"body":"people in different income"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1143.86,"endTime":1146.05,"body":"brackets and different"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1146.05,"endTime":1150.28,"body":"backgrounds. The committee did"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1146.05,"endTime":1150.28,"body":"express a lot of varying"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1150.28,"endTime":1154.57,"body":"concerns as we progress. Apparently our old"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1185.99,"endTime":1188.87,"body":"comprehensive plan has those"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1188.87,"endTime":1193.91,"body":"listed as a light industry. And"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1188.87,"endTime":1193.91,"body":"we wanted to make sure we"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1193.91,"endTime":1197.99,"body":"redefine those a bit so that as"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1193.91,"endTime":1197.99,"body":"Goodyear continues to develop"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1197.99,"endTime":1200.84,"body":"that we monitor that growth a"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1197.99,"endTime":1200.84,"body":"little bit So they're not too"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1200.84,"endTime":1204.59,"body":"close to residential areas."},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1200.84,"endTime":1204.59,"body":"Another area of concern was"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1204.59,"endTime":1207.95,"body":"water conservation, which was"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1204.59,"endTime":1207.95,"body":"pretty consistent across the"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1207.95,"endTime":1210.47,"body":"entire committee, kind of an"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1207.95,"endTime":1210.47,"body":"important thing here in Arizona"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1210.47,"endTime":1213.14,"body":"live in the desert. So it's"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1210.47,"endTime":1213.14,"body":"something to always have in the"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1213.14,"endTime":1216.32,"body":"back of your mind. Another"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1213.14,"endTime":1216.32,"body":"concern was making sure that the"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1216.32,"endTime":1220.49,"body":"people in the Mobile area were"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1216.32,"endTime":1220.49,"body":"properly represented as we put"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1220.49,"endTime":1223.58,"body":"this plan together. And so we"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1220.49,"endTime":1223.58,"body":"took extra steps to make sure"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1223.58,"endTime":1226.58,"body":"that their concerns were"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1223.58,"endTime":1226.58,"body":"considered, and that we helped"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1226.58,"endTime":1229.25,"body":"them to preserve the community"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1226.58,"endTime":1229.25,"body":"that they wished to live in as"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1229.25,"endTime":1234.14,"body":"we move forward. Another area of"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1229.25,"endTime":1234.14,"body":"concern was diversified housing,"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1234.17,"endTime":1236.51,"body":"making sure we had the"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1234.17,"endTime":1236.51,"body":"appropriate number and"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1236.51,"endTime":1239.42,"body":"percentages of housing for all"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1236.51,"endTime":1239.42,"body":"income brackets, and all"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1239.42,"endTime":1244.34,"body":"backgrounds, and a good mix of"},{"speaker":"Don McBrayer","startTime":1239.42,"endTime":1244.34,"body":"owned homes and multifamily."},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1244.54,"endTime":1245.77,"body":"It's kind of"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1244.54,"endTime":1245.77,"body":"interesting when you were"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1245.77,"endTime":1248.8,"body":"talking there, Goodyear is a"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1245.77,"endTime":1248.8,"body":"very unique city, because you"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1248.8,"endTime":1252.61,"body":"have this massive amount of"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1248.8,"endTime":1252.61,"body":"growth that's taking place. I"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1252.61,"endTime":1255.97,"body":"mean, 20 years ago, the"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1252.61,"endTime":1255.97,"body":"population was a fraction of"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1255.97,"endTime":1258.94,"body":"what it is now. And then you"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1255.97,"endTime":1258.94,"body":"also have kind of these other"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1259.06,"endTime":1262.39,"body":"caveats, like Mobile, which a"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1259.06,"endTime":1262.39,"body":"lot of residents may not even"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1262.39,"endTime":1265.69,"body":"realize that that is the"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1262.39,"endTime":1265.69,"body":"southern tip of Goodyear, even"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1265.69,"endTime":1267.7,"body":"though you may have to drive all"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1265.69,"endTime":1267.7,"body":"the way through Gila Bend or"},{"speaker":"Host Jordan Byrd","startTime":1267.7,"endTime":1271.27,"body":"Maricopa to get to it.
