Understanding Expectations
Hello, and welcome back.
In this episode, we’ll talk more about expectations.
Your expectations will impact on your understanding of what Cornucopia is and how it can support your entrepreneurial journey. In this episode, I will continue to shed light on what I suspect that your expectations must be. I understand how important it is that our expectations align with your expectations as well as your needs and wants.
If I ever miss addressing something specific to your situation, feel free to contact me through Patreon. I’ll then address your concerns as best I can. I do believe, however, that as you continue to listen and learn, all of your concerns will be addressed and completely resolved as you go through our structured Ground Zero training.
As I just mentioned, your expectations will reflect how you see Cornucopia and the value it can bring to you. My goal is to make sure that your expectations and ours are clear, aligned, and met.
Remember, this isn’t about me. It’s about you and what Cornucopia can help you to accomplish.
The Core of Cornucopia
Cornucopia is a versatile tool designed to support entrepreneurs, but its value lies in how it meets your specific needs. While it offers a wide range of functions, the focus should always be on simplicity and results. Use whatever you need from the strategy, and don’t overcomplicate the process. The goal isn’t necessarily to use Cornucopia to its fullest—it’s to convincingly achieve your goals in as efficient a manner as possible.
The Role of Cornucopia
Cornucopia is designed to be flexible but yet cover a wide range of entrepreneurial needs. But again, it’s not about using every feature within the strategy. It’s about getting results.
Use only the features you need to use. Simplicity wins. The goal isn’t to use Cornucopia as much as it could be used. It should be used to reach your personal objectives efficiently and intelligently. Having said that, I must admit that the more you understand about the strategy and the more of it that you learn to use, the more progress that you will make.
What that statement means is that you should decide what you want to achieve and how much you want to achieve.
I hope that you have understood my earlier podcasts, have reviewed our show notes and will soon master the procedures to properly use the Opportunity/Collaboration Bulletin.
Our podcasts are meant to help you understand the broader Cornucopia framework in a comprehensive manner, but without overloading you with all of the details at one time.
Your Entrepreneurial Profile
To make Cornucopia work best for you, think in terms of five things:
- What you need
- What you want
- What you have (That is, whatever you have to work with)
- Your personal plan of action
- Your Cornucopia persona
All of these together define your community profile. Once you connect that information with Cornucopia, the system can help align you with opportunities without ever revealing your personal identity or financial status.
The system allows you to remain anonymous in all your interactions with other community members, unless you personally choose to directly identify yourself to them.
This balance of privacy and connection is central to my Cornucopia Strategy design. It allows you to interact with other entrepreneurs safely and effectively, focusing on collaboration and project value, not personal details.
A Personal Tool for Your Success
Cornucopia is designed as a personal tool to assist you, not to represent you. It’s important to keep this distinction clear. Sharing Cornucopia Strategy with others, who are outside of our community and especially anyone who you’re negotiating with, would greatly dilute its advantages.
You should use Cornucopia Strategy as your behind-the-scenes assistant to strengthen your business efforts and enable you to maintain your competitive edge. If you do not understand the significance of what I have just described to you, it will become clearer shortly.
Leveling the Playing Field
Cornucopia gives you a neutral space to build business relationships based on strategy ideas and outcomes, not on who you are or what you look like.
Too often, entrepreneurs are asked irrelevant questions before any real business discussions even start. You will find that people, out of habit or fear or anxiety or bias, will not openly talk with you sometimes if you approach them hoping to initiate a business relationship. I totally understand their need to be cautious or even reluctant to enter a business relationship with someone who you do not know or trust. All of those types of concerns are completely valid.
Remember this: When you interact with members of our community, your ideas are always the most important factor. The strategy forces your ideas to be the first and most important topic. Within our community, you can interact with any other member. It does not matter how experienced you are or how much your net worth might be. Your ideas, your wants and needs take “center stage” first. I created Cornucopia Strategy to consider your ideas and their value first – always.
If you ever do have difficulty being accepted fairly, it will be when you are attempting to interact with individuals who are NOT part of our community. You must remember this. In order for you to succeed, you will have to interact with others in various ways. You cannot control them, but you can control yourself and how you conduct yourself outside of our community. As you continue to listen and learn, you will come to understand how to make meaningful progress outside of our community as well.
The vast majority of people outside of our community will be just as eager to work with you as you might want to work with them IF they understand what you are offering them. The problem is that they will never know if you never have a chance to talk with them properly.
But, here is the underlying problem that you will sometimes face outside of our community. Consider this question: If you have very little or no experience and you are simply trying to establish yourself in the business world, how can you impress someone who won’t talk to you or even listen to you?
First impressions can help you or hurt you. As the saying goes, you never get a second chance to make a good first impression. If you hate to be rejected or if you are not comfortable when you have to talk business to a stranger, just continue listening and learning. Cornucopia Strategy was designed to make those types of interactions much easier for you and, in some cases, not even necessary.
Consider this. If a person treats you poorly, even before you say “Hello”, this is not a person who you should even attempt to work with simply because that person has prejudged you in a negative manner.
That person has formed their first impression of you, and it is a negative one generated purely from bias. But what if the person is open and willing to interact with you long enough to understand whatever you are saying, there is a better chance of a relationship developing – IF you have something of value to this person and you know that this person has something of value that you want or need. Any other type of interaction is basically just noise.
Cornucopia Strategy helps you to reduce and sometimes totally eliminate that kind of noise. It enables you to present your project first in such a manner that forces others to evaluate your ideas first before they evaluate you as an individual.
Once mutual interest is established, then you can decide if deeper engagement makes sense. This sequence—interest first, identity later—keeps you efficient and focused.
How You Can Communicate Through our Bulletin
When you’re ready to share your business ideas or business needs, you’ll create a Notice in the Bulletin.
A Notice briefly explains:
- What you have
- What you need or want
- What you’re offering to community members
- What you expect from community members
Interested parties will respond to you through Cornucopia. You’ll then review their responses and decide if you want to connect. You do not have to respond if you are not interested. You and community members are only expected to communicate when there is genuine interest. Although friendships and close relationships will develop, our Bulletins are strictly for the sharing of opportunities and collaborations.
Cornucopia acts as a neutral intermediary—it never makes contact decisions for you. You stay in full control.
This process ensures clarity, consent, and precision in your community business connections.
Staying Engaged
By now, if you have officially joined our community, you should have received a personal code number that is your reference id or refid. This number (and other data) will uniquely identify you to our Cornucopia Strategy system.
A Personal Note
Cornucopia is a personal system—a private tool that works for you. It is absolutely not to be used as a shared platform for anyone outside of our Cornucopia community. Cornucopia, our community and software are to be used as your private and personal tools. Together, they will be a major advantage for you when using them in this manner. So, keep your advantage private.
There’s no benefit in revealing that you know and use Cornucopia strategy when you are talking and communicating with any person outside of our community.
The reason for keeping this strategy private is because when you use it privately, you will always have a hidden, and unspoken advantage in your business efforts.
Outside of our community, when you are attempting to establish or expand your business activities, there will always be the possibility of adversarial situations that can occur. Whenever that happens, your progress will become much more difficult than it should be.
However, when you interact with our community members, you are never in an adversarial situation, you are always in collaborative win-win situations. You must understand the differences between these two kinds of situations. If you don’t, you will likely lose.
Your Next Step
Before the next episode, I encourage you to review your needs, wants, and haves. And, if you have become qualified to submit a Bulletin Notice describe one or more of them.
Cornucopia will review your submissions and notify you if adjustments are needed. This exercise gives you real, hands-on familiarity with how the system works—and how it can start serving your entrepreneurial goals.
Final Thoughts
Cornucopia is here to simplify your entrepreneurial journey, helping you focus on what truly matters—your projects and goals. In future episodes or as part of your Patreon training, we’ll explore the bulletin in greater detail and discuss how to maximize its potential.
Until then, listen to past episodes, enjoy your training, continue to engage with the system, submit your notices, and start building connections.
Thank you for listening, and I look forward to taking you deeper into the Cornucopia strategy next time. Stay focused, stay intentional—and keep building toward success.
Take care!
