So one of the conversations briefly Dr. Poindexter "},{"startTime":94.836,"endTime":103.0,"body":"and I had was about the shortage of nursing."},{"startTime":103.0,"endTime":107.4,"body":"We've been talking about that for quite a "},{"startTime":103.0,"endTime":107.4,"body":"while. It really was enhanced during  "},{"startTime":107.4,"endTime":112.32,"body":"the Covid pandemic and we're coming out of it "},{"startTime":107.4,"endTime":112.32,"body":"but we're still seeing a lot of turnover in the  "},{"startTime":112.32,"endTime":117.56,"body":"nursing workforce, especially with our new nurses "},{"startTime":112.32,"endTime":117.56,"body":"and when I've been talking to physician colleagues  "},{"startTime":117.56,"endTime":123.76,"body":"and nursing colleagues, some of the chatter I've "},{"startTime":117.56,"endTime":123.76,"body":"been hearing is about new and innovative  "},{"startTime":123.76,"endTime":130.96,"body":"and entrepreneurship type of endeavors and the "},{"startTime":123.76,"endTime":130.96,"body":"lack of nursing or qualified nursing to help  "},{"startTime":130.96,"endTime":137.4,"body":"lead and to help progress those endeavors."},{"startTime":130.96,"endTime":137.4,"body":"I've had physician colleagues say to  "},{"startTime":137.4,"endTime":143.2,"body":"me, if nursing's not going to be there we don't we "},{"startTime":137.4,"endTime":143.2,"body":"don't have them because they're not in the in the  "},{"startTime":143.2,"endTime":150.04,"body":"pipeline. We'll create positions, we'll create"},{"startTime":143.2,"endTime":150.04,"body":"education for the needs that we have.  "},{"startTime":150.04,"endTime":153.96,"body":"So Dr. Poindexter, what I really like for you "},{"startTime":150.04,"endTime":153.96,"body":"to talk about is kind of in your last couple  "},{"startTime":153.96,"endTime":161.4,"body":"years as Chair, what has been your experience in "},{"startTime":153.96,"endTime":161.4,"body":"nursing recruitment, workforce retention, where  "},{"startTime":161.4,"endTime":168.0,"body":"you see the biggest gaps and what can we do"},{"startTime":161.4,"endTime":168.0,"body":"about this? What do you think are the solutions?"},{"startTime":169.165,"endTime":178.185,"body":"That's a big question! It is. It is."},{"startTime":169.165,"endTime":178.185,"body":"But you don't have to have the solution today."},{"startTime":178.185,"endTime":181.52,"body":"But those are the challenges that we're facing."},{"startTime":181.52,"endTime":188.36,"body":"They were there pre-pandemic and "},{"startTime":181.52,"endTime":188.36,"body":"then during the pandemic they've expanded so  "},{"startTime":188.36,"endTime":193.88,"body":"I think it's important to recognize that this "},{"startTime":188.36,"endTime":193.88,"body":"is a deeper issue that we really need to look  "},{"startTime":193.88,"endTime":202.0,"body":"at in our profession and come up with some "},{"startTime":193.88,"endTime":202.0,"body":"sustainable, longstanding, supportive solutions to  "},{"startTime":202.0,"endTime":207.32,"body":"rethink and kind of reimagine how we prepare the "},{"startTime":202.0,"endTime":207.32,"body":"workforce for the future. And you're right, what  "},{"startTime":207.32,"endTime":214.48,"body":"I'm seeing too, not just hearing, but seeing is "},{"startTime":207.32,"endTime":214.48,"body":"that because of the shortage of nurses and the  "},{"startTime":214.48,"endTime":220.88,"body":"tremendous expense it's been for so many health "},{"startTime":214.48,"endTime":220.88,"body":"care organizations to bring in travel nurses and  "},{"startTime":220.88,"endTime":228.12,"body":"as you know there's a there's a tremendous influx "},{"startTime":220.88,"endTime":228.12,"body":"in and a rapidly growing increase in the number  "},{"startTime":228.12,"endTime":233.56,"body":"of foreign nurses that are coming in to take the "},{"startTime":228.12,"endTime":233.56,"body":"places, which is which is good. Everything has its  "},{"startTime":233.56,"endTime":242.64,"body":"own consequences as a result of it but I think "},{"startTime":233.56,"endTime":242.64,"body":"the most important piece here is that you're  "},{"startTime":242.64,"endTime":251.76,"body":"right. We're seeing that other health care "},{"startTime":242.64,"endTime":251.76,"body":"specialties, disciplines are replacing the workload  "},{"startTime":251.76,"endTime":259.08,"body":"and the ability of nurses to hold positions "},{"startTime":251.76,"endTime":259.08,"body":"and we're seeing it in many areas whether it's  "},{"startTime":259.08,"endTime":267.72,"body":"paramedics that are now taking place or EMTs "},{"startTime":259.08,"endTime":267.72,"body":"working on on floors and they're just"},{"startTime":267.72,"endTime":272.12,"body":"staying there but that's our profession"},{"startTime":267.72,"endTime":272.12,"body":"and it's not that they didn't  "},{"startTime":272.12,"endTime":279.12,"body":"do a phenomenal job in an emergency situation, so "},{"startTime":272.12,"endTime":279.12,"body":"I commend the ability of our health care systems  "},{"startTime":279.12,"endTime":286.2,"body":"and organizations to work together. However, they "},{"startTime":279.12,"endTime":286.2,"body":"don't have the background, skill set that nurses  "},{"startTime":286.2,"endTime":292.96,"body":"that nurses have and the ability to provide "},{"startTime":286.2,"endTime":292.96,"body":"that holistic type care that's necessary to really  "},{"startTime":292.96,"endTime":302.08,"body":"promote quality, evidence-based care"},{"startTime":292.96,"endTime":302.08,"body":"holistic care that our patients deserve and "},{"startTime":302.08,"endTime":310.08,"body":"what they've come to expect. And that is what "},{"startTime":302.08,"endTime":310.08,"body":"we stand for. We have to go back and look at,  "},{"startTime":310.08,"endTime":317.2,"body":"I think the beginning roots. There's one,  "},{"startTime":310.08,"endTime":317.2,"body":"a supply chain that's an issue and  "},{"startTime":317.2,"endTime":324.88,"body":"what are we doing in education to help prepare "},{"startTime":317.2,"endTime":324.88,"body":"the workforce. But there's also a big issue with  "},{"startTime":324.88,"endTime":333.16,"body":"what happens within the workforce so that we can "},{"startTime":324.88,"endTime":333.16,"body":"continue to retain those nurses. We do have the  "},{"startTime":333.16,"endTime":339.4,"body":"ability to have those senior level nurses, those "},{"startTime":333.16,"endTime":339.4,"body":"expert nurses, those that are willing to go on  "},{"startTime":339.4,"endTime":345.76,"body":"and move on to grad school that become the faculty "},{"startTime":339.4,"endTime":345.76,"body":"that become the leaders of our profession because  "},{"startTime":345.76,"endTime":354.0,"body":"there a big ripple effect for all of it"},{"startTime":345.76,"endTime":354.0,"body":"and you can't have...one significantly  "},{"startTime":354.0,"endTime":364.88,"body":"impacts the other. I envision...I "},{"startTime":354.0,"endTime":364.88,"body":"think the long-term production method that we've  "},{"startTime":364.88,"endTime":372.807,"body":"had throughout all my years of nursing education is,"},{"startTime":364.88,"endTime":372.807,"body":"it's almost an industrial approach to producing nurses."},{"startTime":372.807,"endTime":378.0,"body":"Yes, I agree."},{"startTime":372.807,"endTime":378.0,"body":"And I hesitate to say that term but I'm speaking honestly"},{"startTime":378.0,"endTime":388.0,"body":"and transparently. Is that we just keep rolling them"},{"startTime":378.0,"endTime":388.0,"body":"off the assembly line. And we've got plenty of applicants,  "},{"startTime":388.0,"endTime":394.44,"body":"but as we look at the rates of retention we're "},{"startTime":388.0,"endTime":394.44,"body":"still seeing according to the most recent  "},{"startTime":394.44,"endTime":401.04,"body":"data I've read that we're still close to 50% that "},{"startTime":394.44,"endTime":401.04,"body":"not only leave their positions but they leave our  "},{"startTime":401.04,"endTime":404.347,"body":"profession after the second year."},{"startTime":401.04,"endTime":404.347,"body":"Yes."},{"startTime":404.891,"endTime":408.885,"body":"We're also hearing loud and clear that our students  "},{"startTime":408.885,"endTime":418.28,"body":"are not coming out prepared with the competencies "},{"startTime":408.885,"endTime":418.28,"body":"that they need to be competent and confident  "},{"startTime":418.28,"endTime":425.68,"body":"nurses so that it's taking the strain on an "},{"startTime":418.28,"endTime":425.68,"body":"already strained health care system to have  "},{"startTime":425.68,"endTime":434.2,"body":"to prepare and educate our novice nurses that are "},{"startTime":425.68,"endTime":434.2,"body":"coming in. Residency programs are good, however,  "},{"startTime":434.2,"endTime":440.4,"body":"what I am hearing in all of our meetings with "},{"startTime":434.2,"endTime":440.4,"body":"our health care partners is that there's much  "},{"startTime":440.4,"endTime":445.48,"body":"greater demands on preparing nurses as they "},{"startTime":440.4,"endTime":445.48,"body":"come into the workforce now than they've had  "},{"startTime":445.48,"endTime":451.76,"body":"historically and they are not coming in with the "},{"startTime":445.48,"endTime":451.76,"body":"competencies, skills that they really require in  "},{"startTime":451.76,"endTime":458.48,"body":"order to transition into practice. Everything "},{"startTime":451.76,"endTime":458.48,"body":"I heard from a national meeting or committee  "},{"startTime":458.48,"endTime":464.32,"body":"that I'm involved with is we had health care "},{"startTime":458.48,"endTime":464.32,"body":"leaders that are saying they have to teach them  "},{"startTime":464.32,"endTime":472.48,"body":"even skills as making beds and yet we're trying "},{"startTime":464.32,"endTime":472.48,"body":"to focus on higher level, complex care, clinical  "},{"startTime":472.48,"endTime":479.48,"body":"decision making prioritization and I think "},{"startTime":472.48,"endTime":479.48,"body":"we really need to come together closer with that  "},{"startTime":479.48,"endTime":489.28,"body":"partnership in that academic environment. So one, "},{"startTime":479.48,"endTime":489.28,"body":"the partnerships are crucial right now. We lack the  "},{"startTime":489.28,"endTime":497.68,"body":"clinical sites in order to prepare our nurses at "},{"startTime":489.28,"endTime":497.68,"body":"both undergrad and grad so I'm not confining this  "},{"startTime":497.68,"endTime":505.48,"body":"to just new novice nurses. We lack sites "},{"startTime":497.68,"endTime":505.48,"body":"and preceptors in order to prepare the future  "},{"startTime":505.48,"endTime":514.64,"body":"workforce. Without the sites, without the preceptors, "},{"startTime":505.48,"endTime":514.64,"body":"without the ability to work together, we're limited  "},{"startTime":514.64,"endTime":523.72,"body":"on the number of nurses that can transition into "},{"startTime":514.64,"endTime":523.72,"body":"the workforce and it's a perpetuating cycle. The  "},{"startTime":523.72,"endTime":532.16,"body":"more we create innovative, collaborative models "},{"startTime":523.72,"endTime":532.16,"body":"and really move forward to say academics and  "},{"startTime":532.16,"endTime":539.68,"body":"health care are in this together. We both have "},{"startTime":532.16,"endTime":539.68,"body":"the ultimate goal in mind is to prepare  "},{"startTime":539.68,"endTime":546.8,"body":"a workforce with the competencies, the confidence, "},{"startTime":539.68,"endTime":546.8,"body":"the skill sets to be able to provide the level of  "},{"startTime":546.8,"endTime":554.48,"body":"high quality care in our health care environments "},{"startTime":546.8,"endTime":554.48,"body":"to be able to partner with them and to leverage  "},{"startTime":554.48,"endTime":560.36,"body":"resources together, to be able to collaborate and "},{"startTime":554.48,"endTime":560.36,"body":"partner with some of the nurses that they have  "},{"startTime":560.36,"endTime":568.08,"body":"on the units to allow our students to really "},{"startTime":560.36,"endTime":568.08,"body":"experience a full role of the nurse to be able  "},{"startTime":568.08,"endTime":576.0,"body":"to work with them to partner with them from the "},{"startTime":568.08,"endTime":576.0,"body":"beginning of their their educational process has  "},{"startTime":576.0,"endTime":585.52,"body":"really a strong potential to better prepare the "},{"startTime":576.0,"endTime":585.52,"body":"students for the future needs. Our current models  "},{"startTime":585.52,"endTime":591.48,"body":"nationally are generally that one or eight"},{"startTime":585.52,"endTime":591.48,"body":"students or 10 students to one clinical  "},{"startTime":591.48,"endTime":600.4,"body":"faculty and we know that that acuity really "},{"startTime":591.48,"endTime":600.4,"body":"minimizes the amount of work any one clinical  "},{"startTime":600.4,"endTime":606.2,"body":"faculty can work with their students. So it's "},{"startTime":600.4,"endTime":606.2,"body":"preventing them from becoming fully  "},{"startTime":606.2,"endTime":610.48,"body":"prepared to enter into the workforce. They're "},{"startTime":606.2,"endTime":610.48,"body":"limited with medications. They're limited with  "},{"startTime":610.48,"endTime":616.88,"body":"patients. They're limited with skills. They're "},{"startTime":610.48,"endTime":616.88,"body":"limited...we are their barrier so educators are  "},{"startTime":616.88,"endTime":623.56,"body":"their facilitators and their barriers because "},{"startTime":616.88,"endTime":623.56,"body":"we're limited. I think strong"},{"startTime":623.56,"endTime":631.28,"body":"academic health care partnerships are just a must. They're absolutely essential. We both have shared  "},{"startTime":631.28,"endTime":637.96,"body":"resources. We can help each other. We can come up "},{"startTime":631.28,"endTime":637.96,"body":"with a sustainable, more long-term solution so  "},{"startTime":637.96,"endTime":644.8,"body":"that we re-envision and rethink how we prepare "},{"startTime":637.96,"endTime":644.8,"body":"nurses for the workforce and make it, like I  "},{"startTime":644.8,"endTime":651.8,"body":"said, that's sustainable change. It's not "},{"startTime":644.8,"endTime":651.8,"body":"a temporary Band-Aid, right, not a temporary change.  "},{"startTime":651.8,"endTime":658.84,"body":"It's really putting those think tanks together "},{"startTime":651.8,"endTime":658.84,"body":"to say let's permanently address this concern  "},{"startTime":658.84,"endTime":667.32,"body":"and prepare what we need. The big issue is "},{"startTime":658.84,"endTime":667.32,"body":"that nursing has to come together and really  "},{"startTime":667.32,"endTime":677.612,"body":"speak with this single voice from practice, regulation,"},{"startTime":667.32,"endTime":677.612,"body":"academics and I think we've been all too siloed."},{"startTime":677.612,"endTime":682.24,"body":"Well, that's been a that's been a theme"},{"startTime":677.612,"endTime":682.24,"body":"since I've been a nurse. I've been   "},{"startTime":682.24,"endTime":687.23,"body":"a nurse over 20 years and nothing's "},{"startTime":682.24,"endTime":687.23,"body":"changed in that area too much."},{"startTime":687.23,"endTime":695.56,"body":"And it limits our practice and we're seeing some measures "},{"startTime":687.23,"endTime":695.56,"body":"moving forward. The pandemic has opened up the  "},{"startTime":695.56,"endTime":704.32,"body":"use of much more technology so from an academic "},{"startTime":695.56,"endTime":704.32,"body":"perspective we've become much more open to the use  "},{"startTime":704.32,"endTime":711.28,"body":"of virtual simulation and simulated environments "},{"startTime":704.32,"endTime":711.28,"body":"where we can provide that controlled, safe  "},{"startTime":711.28,"endTime":717.68,"body":"environment for our students to learn to practice "},{"startTime":711.28,"endTime":717.68,"body":"before they go into the environment and actually  "},{"startTime":717.68,"endTime":724.68,"body":"provide that type of care on on a real patient. "},{"startTime":717.68,"endTime":724.68,"body":"That's a huge movement forward and it has  "},{"startTime":724.68,"endTime":731.04,"body":"been costly, there's no doubt about it. That's "},{"startTime":724.68,"endTime":731.04,"body":"one of the challenges is the resource availability,  "},{"startTime":731.04,"endTime":738.48,"body":"but we are able to move that forward. We're able "},{"startTime":731.04,"endTime":738.48,"body":"to use more telehealth. It helps with education  "},{"startTime":738.48,"endTime":743.76,"body":"as well because we can now use telehealth to "},{"startTime":738.48,"endTime":743.76,"body":"collaborate with some of the advanced practice  "},{"startTime":743.76,"endTime":751.04,"body":"nurses where we can't always access the types "},{"startTime":743.76,"endTime":751.04,"body":"of environment that we need to place our  "},{"startTime":751.04,"endTime":758.0,"body":"patients or our students in, especially those "},{"startTime":751.04,"endTime":758.0,"body":"remote hard-to-access areas and we all  "},{"startTime":758.0,"endTime":764.16,"body":"know that part of the problem is how best do we "},{"startTime":758.0,"endTime":764.16,"body":"prepare our future workforce to meet the needs  "},{"startTime":764.16,"endTime":770.44,"body":"of not only the patients that are convenient "},{"startTime":764.16,"endTime":770.44,"body":"but those that are rurally located, those  "},{"startTime":770.44,"endTime":776.52,"body":"that have problems with access, those that"},{"startTime":770.44,"endTime":776.52,"body":"don't have the resources. We're really looking  "},{"startTime":776.52,"endTime":782.72,"body":"at preparing nurses to be able to reach "},{"startTime":776.52,"endTime":782.72,"body":"and expand out in the communities where"},{"startTime":782.72,"endTime":789.705,"body":"health care has really been a challenge."},{"startTime":782.72,"endTime":789.705,"body":"So, what role does the federal government"},{"startTime":789.705,"endTime":795.672,"body":"potentially have in incentivizing our"},{"startTime":789.705,"endTime":795.672,"body":"clinical partners and our universities?"},{"startTime":795.672,"endTime":802.743,"body":"Well, as I started to say, resource allocation is a major problem."},{"startTime":802.743,"endTime":808.04,"body":"It's funding. This is expensive."},{"startTime":802.743,"endTime":808.04,"body":"The more that we can prepare students. We  "},{"startTime":808.04,"endTime":815.16,"body":"need more resources. We need more sites. We need "},{"startTime":808.04,"endTime":815.16,"body":"more faculty for those nurses that have left  "},{"startTime":815.16,"endTime":821.96,"body":"the workforce. Many of them really didn't want to "},{"startTime":815.16,"endTime":821.96,"body":"leave the workforce, but perhaps we can collaborate  "},{"startTime":821.96,"endTime":831.8,"body":"and find ways where we can use their expertise."},{"startTime":821.96,"endTime":831.8,"body":"They've got tremendous ability to  "},{"startTime":831.8,"endTime":838.4,"body":"not only prepare future nurses but help with "},{"startTime":831.8,"endTime":838.4,"body":"education and perhaps help in patient care in  "},{"startTime":838.4,"endTime":844.24,"body":"different ways that address some of the concerns "},{"startTime":838.4,"endTime":844.24,"body":"they had during the pandemic, but we need funding.  "},{"startTime":844.24,"endTime":851.72,"body":"We need the federal government to be able to "},{"startTime":844.24,"endTime":851.72,"body":"provide funding for nurses for scholarships  "},{"startTime":851.72,"endTime":861.08,"body":"we need funding for faculty development and for "},{"startTime":851.72,"endTime":861.08,"body":"faculty salaries. We know one issue   "},{"startTime":861.08,"endTime":866.52,"body":"at least limiting the number of students that "},{"startTime":861.08,"endTime":866.52,"body":"can come into the academic environment is a  "},{"startTime":866.52,"endTime":872.84,"body":"limit on the number of faculty that we have. Many "},{"startTime":866.52,"endTime":872.84,"body":"faculty find it very difficult to transition from  "},{"startTime":872.84,"endTime":878.84,"body":"because of the pay differential. And then you've "},{"startTime":872.84,"endTime":878.84,"body":"got - who are the faculty, they're the ones with  "},{"startTime":878.84,"endTime":885.0,"body":"the advanced degrees. They're the ones with the "},{"startTime":878.84,"endTime":885.0,"body":"potentially school loans on their own. This  "},{"startTime":885.0,"endTime":890.76,"body":"is something that the federal government could "},{"startTime":885.0,"endTime":890.76,"body":"certainly step in and provide the funding  "},{"startTime":890.76,"endTime":899.12,"body":"to support faculty development and loan repayment "},{"startTime":890.76,"endTime":899.12,"body":"and scholarships not only for the students but the  "},{"startTime":899.12,"endTime":905.76,"body":"faculty themselves to offer more funding that's "},{"startTime":899.12,"endTime":905.76,"body":"available in the form of grants. So what are some  "},{"startTime":905.76,"endTime":913.64,"body":"innovative and creative ways that we can develop "},{"startTime":905.76,"endTime":913.64,"body":"partnership models that are truly research-based  "},{"startTime":913.64,"endTime":922.24,"body":"and that we can test and validate that this "},{"startTime":913.64,"endTime":922.24,"body":"is a sustainable model? Again, that costs money  "},{"startTime":922.24,"endTime":930.24,"body":"and we know that grant money is becoming more and "},{"startTime":922.24,"endTime":930.24,"body":"more competitive and education is not always  "},{"startTime":930.24,"endTime":936.0,"body":"number one or high on the level of research"},{"startTime":930.24,"endTime":936.0,"body":"grants and the funding that's available."},{"startTime":936.0,"endTime":944.617,"body":"That's right, that's right."},{"startTime":936.0,"endTime":944.617,"body":"Many of the areas that I really learned that were so essential"},{"startTime":944.617,"endTime":951.32,"body":"during my time as chair at the National League for Nursing "},{"startTime":944.617,"endTime":951.32,"body":"and I think we all cognitively know it. We need to look at"},{"startTime":1038.96,"endTime":1045.92,"body":"the diversity because we know and again, Covid made  "},{"startTime":1045.92,"endTime":1054.48,"body":"this huge chasm visible to all of us that we could "},{"startTime":1045.92,"endTime":1054.48,"body":"no longer ignore it. We're seeing more and more problems  "},{"startTime":1070.44,"endTime":1076.56,"body":"with planetary health issues, climate change and "},{"startTime":1070.44,"endTime":1076.56,"body":"again, where's the impact on health? It's the same  "},{"startTime":1076.56,"endTime":1086.04,"body":"populations. We don't have the ability to the "},{"startTime":1076.56,"endTime":1086.04,"body":"diverse workforce, the diverse nursing workforce  "},{"startTime":1086.04,"endTime":1095.8,"body":"to best reach out to various populations that "},{"startTime":1086.04,"endTime":1095.8,"body":"are most impacted and most affected by some of  "},{"startTime":1095.8,"endTime":1101.56,"body":"the major changes that we are seeing today in our"},{"startTime":1095.8,"endTime":1101.56,"body":"communities, in our health care environment.  "},{"startTime":1101.56,"endTime":1112.48,"body":"It is so important to really focus on not only"},{"startTime":1101.56,"endTime":1112.48,"body":"diversity in true inclusion and"},{"startTime":1112.48,"endTime":1119.36,"body":"understanding and appreciating what equity means "},{"startTime":1112.48,"endTime":1119.36,"body":"in our nurses, in our students, but we also have to  "},{"startTime":1119.36,"endTime":1125.8,"body":"be able to reach out to the workforce because our "},{"startTime":1119.36,"endTime":1125.8,"body":"students go in the workforce and and it they get  "},{"startTime":1125.8,"endTime":1130.88,"body":"mixed messages sometimes because I'm not sure "},{"startTime":1125.8,"endTime":1130.88,"body":"that we're all on that same level. How can we help promote leaders "},{"startTime":1130.88,"endTime":1137.76,"body":"that are diverse so that there's more role models  "},{"startTime":1137.76,"endTime":1145.8,"body":"for our students to be able to look up to and emulate?"},{"startTime":1137.76,"endTime":1145.8,"body":"Absolutely important and I hear it  "},{"startTime":1145.8,"endTime":1151.4,"body":"over and over even from our students. No one here "},{"startTime":1145.8,"endTime":1151.4,"body":"looks like me. There's no one I feel comfortable to  "},{"startTime":1151.4,"endTime":1158.2,"body":"go to or we have a challenge maintaining leaders "},{"startTime":1151.4,"endTime":1158.2,"body":"within the academic organization or within the  "},{"startTime":1158.2,"endTime":1165.36,"body":"health care organizations so it's important to "},{"startTime":1158.2,"endTime":1165.36,"body":"know that not only can we bring greater diversity  "},{"startTime":1165.36,"endTime":1172.24,"body":"into the workforce that's necessary to promote "},{"startTime":1165.36,"endTime":1172.24,"body":"the health and advance health equity across all  "},{"startTime":1172.24,"endTime":1179.36,"body":"populations as the diversity of our nation grows ."},{"startTime":1172.24,"endTime":1179.36,"body":"That's our responsibility.
