Wildlife and Adventure Photography
Wildlife and Adventure Photography is a podcast for those who believe the best images are earned, not taken. Through field-tested insight and thoughtful reflection, each episode explores how preparation, patience, and creative awareness come together to produce photographs with lasting impact.

Looking back on 2023

This podcast was recorded in December 2023 and I find this a valuable time (at the end of the year) to look back on what I've achieved and look forward to the new year.
So, how was 2023 for you?
Did you make progress, or are you not where you hoped to be?
I find that we often tend to focus on what went wrong, rather than what we've achieved. So what have you achieved in the last 12 months and what should you give yourself a pat on the back for?
And, with a new year ahead of us, what would you like to achieve in the next 12 months?
One challenge for many people is keeping the momentum going, especially once the holiday season is over. So what can you do to keep your photography alive once you return to your normal day-to-day? Here are some suggestions:
- Take a photography challenge (you can register for my 14-day challenge here)
- Join a local photography group.
- Join a photography Meet-up in your area.
- Take a course (you can find out more about mine here)
- Get some tips (yes... I have some for you here!)
Look for sources of inspiration; Instagram, photography awards, books... there is a lot of great work out there.
And... don't forget to make something of your favourite photographs from 2023. How about wall prints, or a photobook (you can have extra copies made to share with others).
What else can you do to make 2024 a great year for you?
It's time for another podcast...
Join me for my live mini-workshop on Tuesday, 26th February to learn more about composition... And, if you can't make the live event, you'll have access to the recording. Find out more here.
