This tradition, which was popularized by St. Francis of Assisi, was a staple of Western Christianity, and the Franciscan tradition in particular, for more than 800 years. In fact, it was in 1224 during St. Michael's Lent when Francis received the grace of the Stigmata, the Five Wounds of Christ. Join Jamie and I as we delve into this beautiful tradition!
